[Q] Going back to Stock rom

Firstly, please don't be too hard on me. I made a mistake with the stock rom. I didn't back it up. So, I am with ATT in the US, what ruu do I need? I currently have Android Revolution HD 13.4. And was wondering how the stock rom compares to the ARHD 13.4.....
Thanks
Andy

It all depends on what firmware you're on, base etc, and what Hboot (if you can't S-Off then you would be severely limited to what RUU you could run) ... ARHD is stock, apart from one or two added tweaks. It's identical in look and feel to stock.

As far as I'm aware there are no RUU's for that base, same base as me, and being that you are S-On and Hboot 1.54, you won't be able to use any of the older RUUs. The best thing you could do is to flash the stock ROM, also from the ARHD thread if you wanted to go to as close to stock as possible.

How do I update rooted butterfly S to Android 4.3

Hello ,
I currently have a rooted HTC Butterfly S with Android 4.2 and the Maximus HD custom ROM installed. I want to update my phone to Android 4.3 to install some of the newer custom roms. I have no idea how to go about doing this and I don't wanna brick my phone .
I found a link (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2422783 ) to download the stock ROM with 4.3 Android , will flashing it automatically update it?
Your help is greatly appreciated.
Thank you

The stock 4.3 ROM won't update your firmware (hboot, radio and all the other stuff). You can update that manually even without S-OFF, I've written the instructions multiple times in this forum.
If you install the 4.3 stock ROM and then some other 4.3 ROM, you will accomplish exactly the same thing as if you simply installed the other 4.3 ROM straight away. In other words, installing the 4.3 stock ROM doesn't make any difference at all if you intend to install something else anyway.
ahh I get it. I can't seem to be able to find those instructions that you've posted , tried checking your profile but couldn't find anything.
would also like to clarify , I want to install this custom rom on my butterfly s ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557441) however I saw that it says Android 4.3 ,will I be able to install it on my phone which is running on android 4.2.2?

I don't see any reason why it shouldn't, but just to be on the safe side, always take a nandroid backup before installing anything. If it does not run, try to install the latest firmware as explained in the post linked above and try again.

S-off

I know this question is directed more towards the T-Mobile version but I was hoping to find guidance here as well. I have a One that currently has an unlocked bootloader and is rooted. The hboot is version 1.57. I've been trying to get the s-off for a while now but I'm not having any luck. I tried downgrading to different roms but I don't think that was the answer. I'm guessing it's because of my hboot version. Is there anyway to downgrad my hboot without already having the s-off? I've been doing a lot of research but I can't find anything that applies to the T-Mobile version and in my specific situation. I would appreciate it if someone could help me out with this or let me know that it is totally impossible to do right now. I've been working on this for days but I'm determined haha

But I'm on Hboot 1.57 so I don't think it will work. Isn't there a kitkat 4.4.2 Sense 6.0 nandroid recovery? Cause this one is a 4.3 Sense 5.0, and I can't update it.Can't I restock it in another way? I need it urgently for warranty issues!!
Sorry for the mass of questions, I'm new to this.

It's my friend who rooted my phone and changed everything, and he didn't backup the stock version, that's why I'm searching for another solution.

You cannot downgrade at all. Every major release comes with a new bootloader which cannot be downgraded.

It depends on what phone you have. If you have the i9295, then you can downgrade. If you have the i537, then you cannot downgrade.

Just out of curiosity (don't really know if I can help) did you try going step by step (sequentially by each build) or did you try going straight to the newest one?

Here ya go, went with the NE3 firmware instead of the NH3, i'll slim it down as close as possible to a AOSP ROM.
The battery life is a lot better with the ROM
