Rom upgrade failed

Hello,
my htc p3600 has failed during rom update. Now it does not even start.
I see only black screen and only the green light is on.
It is definitely dead or not?
please help.

I have the same problem. I found that my USB cable has bad connection and during upgrade it lost the signal. Now I cannot connect to Active sync or recover is there any solution?

i upgraded and everything was successful till after the reboot.
my phone now hangs on the HTC startup page.
any help?

if your htc hangs like mine(blakc screen and nothing else) you have to load the boot loader.
To load the boot laoder press power+camera+softreset. You will see on the screen some colors. Then plug your usb cable and refalsh.
ps:soft reset is the button over the call button

now i have another problem. The firmware procedure begins but it stops at 1% saying the rom is corrupted!
what does this mean?
i have tried with different roms but same error!!!!

nope..mine does not have a black screen.
after custom rom flashing, it reboots as per normal and enters loading screen
it just hangs at the initial loading screen without entering today screen
i have soft and hard reset and reflashed countless times with the same effect

i have SOLVED!!!!
here are the steps!
1.first of all if you are on vista you have to install the driver for the usb and not the one installed by default with "mobile device center".
You can find it here 32 bit the version of vista http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=33662&d=1169888879
Here 64 bit version for windows vista http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=33892&d=1170385335
2.Reboot windows vista in order to make sure the driver is loaded!
3.Next, you have to format the htc at low level with this procedure

Basically, you have to
a)load the boot loader(power +camera+soft reset button - soft reset is the button over the green one),
b)connect the usb cable,
c) launch mtty(you can find it here http://rapidshare.com/files/89966008/mtty.exe)
d)connect on usb port.
e)Type enter and you will see "CMD>". then type
task 32 "and then press ENTER the keyboard"
task 28 "and then press ENTER the keyboard"
task 2A "and then press ENTER the keyboard"
info 8 "and then press ENTER the keyboard"
task 8 "and then press ENTER the keyboard"

4.Remove battery
5.Insert battery
6.Again bring on the boot loader, and install original rom. I have used the one here in italian

well you could use the italian one only to see if works and then load the rom you desire...

just a question. when you connect your trinity, did it show up on the pc? or was there just the sound?
cos in bootloader , all i got was the sound but i know its connected

when it was like i described here in my first post i dont even listen the sound of a connected usb. It behaviour was like dead!

thats wierd , so how does mtty pick up the connection to the device?
anyway mine has the sound and i know its connected so ill try the method in the morning.

Is that a trinity?
AFAIK, the latest IPL is 1.00, and SPL 1.07
You will need to flash a correct IPL+SPL+OS at least, flash an original rom and when you get it working try whith a cooked one.

You should install Windows Mobile Center first, and after that it should find the drivers alone.

The hard spl is not erased if you don't force it, so not

It should find the drivers alone. Plugin in boot loader and it should install the device, after that use the update program 3.14.4.1 (Compatible whith vista)

[Q] problems when rooting X8

hey guys.
i just restored my phone after it brick and root it again..
while rooting the SuperOneClick not responding.. it stuck at "Waiting For Device".
i've tried this a few times but the result is still the same..
anyone can guide me how to pass this problem?

Instal super user . Apk on your phone..., turn on phone.. conect phone to the pc, enable usb debbuging in the application setting phone... its be done.

Install phone drivers. thats why it stuck in "waiting for device". try to insall PC Companion. it should install the drivers too.

check the log, superuser is installed after mounting /system with read-write access. afaik there is no way to install the superuser with /system mounted as read-only! it requires root to mount /system as read-write.

I mean superuser. Apk not super one click. Exe... its different thing..., super one click to root your phone system with pc.. , superuser to allow read the system roms on phone.just dowload and instal pc companion in your pc .. and its be a driver..

When it stucks on waiting for device try to turn USB debugging off and on or root with FlashTool

Hei guy i have a big prolem! i was root, i come back on stock with PCC but now i can't root again. I don't know why but i need your help.
I've tried with :
super1click (last version 2.3.3) and it not responding after some seconds
X8toolbox and it says: device not exploited
Flashtool that says something like device not exploited or something like that
Can anyone help my poor phone that without root can't have even the multitouch??!?!!!

Problem related to charging.

I live in India and i got update for the software adding new keyboard and several things. I updated my phone. After the update the prob i faced was that i was not able charge my phone and was unable to connect it to my pc. What i have to do to charge is that i have to connect the charger and restart my phone then it starts charging. Its been a week i am facing this prob. I called samsung service centre n they said me to factory reset first soft n then hard but my phone was acting same. N now customer support centre say that i have to go to the Samsung service centre.
Any idea any one?

When it starts charging after reboot, your problem seems to be soft rather th Hard.
If wipe cache n wipe data you have performed n still not works, once you should Reflash ROM it manually. Hope it should work.

It starts charging normaly after restarting. Everytime i have to charge i have to restart it. Yup it is software prob. To perform anything related to ROM i need to connect to computer which is also i cant do it anymore.

My phone dont even reponds on connecting any usb. Maximum to maximum if i restart my phone it will start charging but will not connect to pc.

you getting my point? you have to do it in download mode, if anything SW related, it will bypass in download mode. suppose, you have not installed CD driver on PC, you wont open it isn't? but still you can boot from CD or not? U can.
just get into download mode, Open Odin n connect your deice and check ID COM turning yellow? if yes, it is connected. and you can flash ROM. n if not connected, you should go to service center as it have hardware issue.(Sure PC shudn't have any issue)

I dont know what is the problem. Today i went Samsung Service Centre at near by city. They reflashed the rom and the kernal is unknown to me. When connected to Kies it says it cannot download.

If kernel is unknown, remove battery for some time remove SIM, reinsert n check again.

Do you have the drivers for Galaxy s III, 9305 installed on your computer?I think that you don`t have the drivers installed and the message is related to your old terminal.Install Kies3 and you will have the right drivers.:good:

I have installed Samsung Kies and Samsung USB Drivers on my computer. I didn't exactly understand you?And I'm running Win7 x64, I've tried it with another cable and another laptop.

Wich version of Kies have you?You need version Kies 3,when firmware is 4.3 or higher.

Still nothing...
Yesterday i managed to update to 4.4.4 official through odin and after that i flashed AOSP ROM. Now USB connection and even Odin doesn't detect my device ( No beep on PC too)

delete everything, from drivers to odin to everything related to samsung. Then try again. Also change usb cable, change usb port or try on another pc

And should i try to go back to 4.4.4 stock or an older version of touchwiz?

Samsung's USB connection is very random, i got the phone with 4.3 and after a few restarts Odin/PC managed to see my device in download mode and i was able to update to 4.4.4. For now, i returned to 4.4.4 touchwiz - nothing is working (I've used MobileOdin to flash it)

yea strange. I never had this problem. I bought myself a dock from ebay for few dollars and my connection works all the time. I do use nokia usb not samsung cable. It may depend on lenght of usb cable too

I think this may be a soft USB brick.Very very possible ..Cann you enter in Download mode?

Yes, i can, but the PC doesn't detect it now, i managed to flash 4.4 with it yesterday...

Have you tried uninstalling everything Samsung related from control panel and then going into device manager and uninstalling Samsung drivers (they should be under phone, usb mass storage or other when you plug the phone in) and then letting the phone install drivers by itself?

I've managed to get recognized by Odin by just plugging the USB cable in the phone before it says Downloading... (In the warning menu).
But now, after 6 hours it can't be recognized again.... DUMB.RANDOM.****

I managed to get root and flash recovery, then I flashed a ROM. I figured out that i can use Mobile Odin instead of PC Odin, but i still need to fix that qualcomm usb driver error (I may go to a service today)... :fingers-crossed:

[GUIDE]How unbrick your L5 from a softbrick

After my friends ask me so much for me to do this tutorial for the sake of L5, I decide to do.
If you see your L5 does not start the system, it is the LG logo, follow a tutorial below according to your case.
Note that this guide helps only in cases of softbrick. In cases of hardbrick, I recommend you go to a technical assistance.
If your device is in the boot animation forever:
Probably you should have modified the system and is very easy to recover. Just look for the ROM that you were using normally occur before it and reinstall.
If your device is not out of the LG logo and/or not go to recovery:
1 - Download the drivers here and install: http://depositfiles.org/files/8nbpilxsh
2 - Download the stock ROM here: http://lg-phone-firmware.com/index.php?id_mod=12
Download according to your device!
3 - Go to the download mode.
If the baseband is V10, remove the battery and insert it again (don’t turn it on!). Press and hold volume up button and volume down buttons and connect the device to your computer while holding the buttons.
If the baseband is V20, remove the battery and insert it again (don’t turn it on!). Press and hold volume down an connect the device to your computer while holding the buttons.
If it was not for the recovery, the stronger hold buttons! Worked with me
4 - Download the KDZ updater here http://www.unclenet.de/files/KDZ_FW_UPD_EN.7z
The file contains msxml.msi. Install it first before running the KDZ updater
5 - Start the program.
Leave the options as follows:
Type: 3GQCT
Phone Mode: DIAG
KDZ file: navigate to the file location. KDZ downloaded in step 2 and select.
6 - Click on "launch software update".
The process will take a while. No way, do not disconnect the device from your computer!!!
7 - If still not start, go to the recovery and format
To go to the recovery, will depend on the installed ROM. Each ROM is different. I do not know how to enter the recovery of all ROMs.
When you go to the stock recovery, will automatically format.
(Special case) If your screen looks like this:

Do as if you were standing in the logo of LG. However, in this case, will not appear on the screen written this in download mode.

Make sure it is connected. Go on the control panel, Hardware and Sound, Devices and Printers. If not appear, uninstall the drivers in the device manager and reinstall it.
After that, you just have to install the ROM on KDZ updater.

Btw... How did this thread ended in XDA Home Page??:silly:

Hardbrick is relatively easy too (just one temporary pull down on eMMC data line, then emergency downloader from SoC is available over usb), though for writing guide/testing software i would need actual genuine hardbrick (mobo of l7 or enough of l5)
But even if i write guide, you will still need to have full eMMC backup, any other way while not impossible, violates xda rules. Otherwise you will have no IMEI (though that state could be still useful)

Unfortunately this sock doesn't support QDL 9008 from what I know. The title is just misleading. There is no hard-brick here.

Guys, I never said that this tutorial is about hardbrick. You probably should have seen it http://www.xda-developers.com/xda-external-link/unbrick-lg-optimus-l5-from-hard-brick/ . I think you should discuss it there, with the guy who spoke that it is a hardbrick guide.

Guys, I never said that this tutorial is about hardbrick. You probably should have seen it http://www.xda-developers.com/xda-external-link/unbrick-lg-optimus-l5-from-hard-brick/ . I think you should discuss it there, with the guy who spoke that it is a hardbrick guide.

LG E 610 Softbrick tried everything MPT Driver fails to load
hi,
i have an LG Optimus L5 (LG-E610) here, it used to have a Stock Android 4.0.3 of nov 06-2012 on it and i tried to put a custom 4.4.4 ROM on it. i had root, Philz Recovery installed and flashed with it: 20 baseband, ROM, gapps, in that order. after it was finished-> reboot system. but the fon would not boot properly and show my a dizzy screeen. after i installed LGMobileDriver_WHQL_Ver_4.2.0.exe and tried flashing V10B_00.kdz with the KDZ_FW_UPD_EN.7z tool. ti said "phone not found" no matter in wich way i used it. after this the fon would not be properly recognised by the win7 x64 pc anymore. the "Android Net MTP device" driver fails to install. some mpt driver used to work before.
after this i also worked with the lg mobile tool und the lg 3.8 mobile driver. uninstalled drivers, used other pcs, virtual oss, lg pc suite. i tried every possible combination of push buttons (i believe) and did with and without battery in the fon. the problem remains. MTP device driver fails to install.
WHAT TO DO?

i have an old device, i cant access the download mode or recovery mode just a white screen, this happen after i was trying to flash a custom recovery (twrp). any have an idea? i just need to enter the download mode, and the kdz wont recognize the device
