[ROOT][System R/W Enabling] 4.4 (System Version 19.5.3 ONLY) - Droid Ultra Android Development

DISCLAIMER: I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOUR PHONE GROWS LEGS AND EATS YOUR DOG, YOUR LOVE LIFE IS DESTROYED, YOUR PET ROCK GOES MISSING OR ANYTHING ALONG ANY LINES REGARDING YOU, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR PHONE, OR ANYTHING FOR THAT MATTER.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now that we have gotten that out of the way on to the root.
I will tell you now this is a LONG grueling process not meant for most new comers but if you want to take a stab feel free ill help if need be.
Now first things first before we do ANYTHING make sure your using a Droid Maxx, Droid Ultra, Moto X or any of those phones and make sure their on System version: 19.5.3 and Android: 4.4. Now that we've separated the men from the women (no sexism implied) lets move on.
You now need to go into your settings and make sure you have developer options available if not go to about phone in settings and scroll down and tap build number till it tells you your a developer. Pretty straight forward and simple. Now go back and go into developer options and enable USB Debugging and plug your phone into your PC (don't forget you need a computer for this process). Now it will most likely prompt you to authorize your pc on your device. Tap the check box and tap OK.
Now I need you to do a couple of things. Make sure you don't have an update pending, make sure your battery is charged, and make sure you have no root apps installed, this is almost specifically pointed at SuperSu, Superuser, etc. This will ensure your safe to do this whole process error free (not guaranteed but almost positive it prevents all your problems).
Now that we've separated the boys from the men lets continue.
Your going to want to download the file below ROOT.zip. That is the file with all the goodies. Download it and extract it to your C drive (root directory).
Go to the ROOT/PIE folder and run the ROOT.bat it will direct you from there. If you want me to paste what it says here, well then here you go-->
First it will say
--Root Achived--
Click to collapse
Now you'll need to follow the other directions it gives you.
Please run wpbegone.exe in /ROOT/RWPD/ as administrator-------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Press Enter when you've done so and its made you say yes a couple of times----
Click to collapse
This is somewhat what it will look like. Do what it says and it will say the next thing.
Please click ONCE on 1.bat and hold Enter once it says waiting for adb-----------
Once its rerooted your device with pie and has said must play a little while--------
longer please wait till it goes through the process and gets to clobbering 2--------
Then click 2.bat ONCE and press and hold enter till it roots your device-----------
After your rooted wait till all is completed and it tells you to press enter------------
Then reroot your device using pie and go to the safestrap app now in your app-
drawer and tap install recovery. Then reboot into recovery using safestrap-------
and install su.zip on your sdcard/internalstorage and reboot-------------------------
After all of that go to SuperSu and update your binary--------------------------------
now your done PROFIT B**** ;D
Click to collapse
Follow those instructions to the tee or it will NOT work.If you need urgent help email me at [email protected] if not just post on here and ill get back to you asap i am a busy person and may be living on the streets soon so please don't be a d*** to me. Be patient.

Is this root tethered or is it all untethered and just full on root for 4.4?

Its full unthethered root on 4.4. You just have to downgrade from 19.6.3 system version to the 19.5.3 system version if your not already on it.

Why are you reposting and repackaging devs' exploits. This is essentially a repost and repackage. Not sure @jcase or @beaups would approve of this.

Know that some of us such as @samwathegreat @SamuriHL @bigv5150 @caseky621 and myself do appreciate your work and understand the frustration you must feel when someone does this.

Repost
While all guides and tutorials are highly appreciated, reposting them is highly unnecessary and will only be confusing for people trying to find the right guide. Pie root by Jcase can be found here, and as his thread states:
Pie is a root for motorola devices, should work up to and including 4.4.2.

Meaning it also works on the Droid Ultra or any Motorola device for that matter.

[Q] Need Root access for new upgrade path

New MotoX from sprint.
android version 4.2.2
baseband msm8960pro_bp_2323.020.90.00r
kernel 3.4.42.-xline.
system version 139.14.1
build 13.9.0q2.x-116-mx-17-57-1
i did a fair amount of searching but could not find the proper instructions for obtaining root access for the moto x. Need root access or this device would be a deal breaker.
Can someone point me to a link? I would be much appreciated. Thanks Listers!!!
You must of not even attempted to do any real looking. This forum is not that large for the Moto X and there is plenty of information for you to see.
1) you have a sprint phone so you can unlock the Bootloader, install TWRP, get root no matter the Android version
2) there is a clearly titled post in one of the subforums that will tell you how to get root

I did search the web and the forums; I'm sorry. it was a long day, i had just purchased the phone and wanted to make sure i didn't brick it. I have rooted/jailbroken several other devices but wanted to know if the latest ota update would cause a problem for that.
Again, I'm sorry for for the excess forum baggage.
I'll try again.

ownmoto or whatever?? um... ok... I can tell you haven't browsed the different sections for the Moto X here or you would have seen in the "Moto X Original Android Development" section that its called "PwnMyMoto"
Brokenwall gave you a way to root your sprint device, no matter what stock rom you're running... OTA updates or not. Granted unlocking your bootloader voids your warranty... and he didn't give you a 100% newbie step by step guide which it now seems you were really looking for.
Also in the Moto X Original Android Development is a thread titiled... "[Root] RockMyMoto (Yes, even the first OTA)" which is pretty obvious as to what it is for. If you took a few minutes to read it, you'd know it is what you want if you don't want to unlock your bootloader. Its not a very long thead (141 posts currently) so it wont take long to read. The original post contains everything you need, except how to make sure you have Telnet as part of your Windows install (there are posts in that thread later that say what to do to enable/install Telnet as a Windows Feature inside Add/Remove Programs).
Sorry, if I come across as harsh. I know you just want to root without screwing up your phone, and I get that. But I'm afraid if you haven't been able to look around and find this stuff, you'll likely not be able to properly follow and understand the instructions and will therefore stand a good chance of messing up your phone!!!
OK. I am sorry about the post. I know I'm at the mercy of the forum here.
I was up till 2 am getting this phone unlocked, but when I installed wireless tether it said I was not rooted.
Had to install sdk, get a long unlock code, etc.
Evidently I have yet to attain root access, but its not as though I"m not trying.
I have done rooted/jailbroken a couple times before with my htc evo/iphone, and am fairly computer literate, but I just can't hash this out.
I read this thread, but could not quite make out the steps. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2509590., The video has no sound, which makes it a little more difficult.
I have also read about an OTA on 10/7 or so that patched some of the root methods, so, at the risk of getting put in my place, I'm humbly coming to ask for assistance in helping get my phone rooted.
Again, I'm sorry for being stuck here and having to ask the question. I would greatly appreciate the assistance of someone who can speak to my specific situation.
Thank you and regards to those who can help.

The steps taken in the video are exactly explained in the post.
There are a few assumptions.. 1. Your PC has telnet on it, or you know how to install it. (there is a link further in that thread which Windows users can follow. 2. You have ADB Driver and Platform tools from the AndroidSDK installed correctly on your PC, and Moto drivers installed. Again, there are threads on this already, so you'll have to find/follow them.
You could also try to follow this post -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47067076 however, it uses puttytel.exe instead of Telnet so it will look a little different. It too assumes you've properly installed ADB Driver and Platform Toos from the Android SDK along with the Moto drivers.
Another option is the "Tool Kit" -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477132 which is an "all in one" type tool that should set things up and help you too. I've not used it, but it appears to be a complete package including ADB and the drivers. Only thing would be if you want to use "Flash back to stock" you need to download the ROM file separately.

Right now, there is the rom the phone shipped with. If you have that, you use PwnMyMoto process to root it. The "camera update" that was pushed over the air. If you have that, you use RockMyMoto. And as of yesterday, if you have Verizon X, there is KitKat which can not be rooted (unless your carrier allows you to unlock your phone's boot loader)
I tried the puttytel thread, but I kept getting a timeout like this guy did:
"After running cydia impactor I see a popup for a second that says payload and then it disappears. I then try to run puttytel but it just keeps failing with "network error: connection timed out"." That was the error I kept getting.
The other problem I am currently having is not being able to push files to my device because it doesnt show up as a drive letter. I have usb debugging enabled.
I would about paypal someone for some help at this point. Bummed. I just want my device rooted so I can send my daughter the one I promised here.

Isn't this just for the verizon model?
Guys/Gals/Developers.... I'm really stuck, and would greatly appreciate some help.
I have read thru the threads.
I can't get my phone to be recognized as a drive. Only a camera. Yes, I installed usb mass storage from play store. No luck.
I can't push files to the root of the device.
I have to believe it can be done, I'm just not getting it for some reason.
I'm really sorry, as I have said in multiple posts. Like I said, I would paypal you a reasonable sum if one of the more experienced people out there want to remote in via logmein and help. I know that sounds lame. I'm normally a guy who likes to research it all himself and do this.
I'm normally the guy who helps other people with this stuff, but I just can't hash this out. I've spent the last three days of my free time reading, researching, trying to get the thing to connect as a drive so I can push files to it and run them via adb.. Even went so far as considering buying a wireless adapter to put the files there wirelessly. I'd try now but I'm exhausted. If you can help, please PM me and we can work out something if you are willing. Thanks to those who have suggested methods. I do appreciate your help. I have tried them all except the last kit kat method which I thought was just for Verizon. I'm with sprint. As tired as I am, I'm afraid to brick the thing. I'm very close to asking for a method to restore the phone and take it back. I really wanted wireless tether. I need it for work and to run the ipad on occasion. Sorry this was a long post/thread.
Sorry I'm not as quick as the rest of you. Just want a rooted phone and can't seem to get it done this time on my own.
Any suggestions?

No. That will work for any Moto X Developer Edition or Carrier edition with an unlocked boot loader. So T-Mobile, Sprint, etc.. If you can unlock your boot loader via -> https://motorola-global-portal.cust...e/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a/action/auth then you can root via this process.

To get your phone to show up in windows as Drive Letter, needs USB Mass Storage mode. Ok, You've installed an app for that, fine... but 1. I'm not aware of that app working, and more importantly, 2. I am not aware of any root method in these forums that requires your phone to show as a "drive letter" to work. So I couldn't even begin to suggest what you are doing wrong.
What instructions are you actually trying to follow? Why not post questions on it in that particular thread, including exact details of what you've done, what you see on your phone, any/all errors or messages, etc.???
And if what you really want to do is tether with sprint, I hope you have checked out threads with suggestions on hacks/ways that work to tether on Sprint Moto X before you worry about rooting.
For example, if you want to remain non-rooted, FoxFi could possibly be an option. As I am a Verizon user and haven't used it, I can't say how well it works for Spint, and I can't say how well it works for Verizon, just that Verizon KK users say it doesn't work, but it did with the JB/4.2.2 roms..
KidJoe;
Thanks for your patience. I'm sorry about all of this. I have tried to be as clear as I can be, but I will redouble my efforts. Let me read clearly that last link and I will post back. I do want root access for all the other cool things it enables too, so I'm determined to get it right. I just want to be careful not to miss something and turn a decent phone into a paperweight.
That link you referenced is exactly what I used to unlock. When I reboot the phone, I get a white screen with a red exclamation point that says bootloader unlocked.
Fox Fi is a no go
Update. Just tried Foxfi. Does not work with current status of unlock but not rooted. I need root, but how does one copy files to the device via usb? I remember there being a setting.
I opened a new thread on this subject. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47740046#post47740046
Hope that's not against the rules. I really thing the failure is related to my inability (or ignorance of how to ) push files to the device.
Good gravy. This has eaten up WAY too much time.
Apparently its a mixed bag over at sprint. Some can some can't.

[How to]VS980 Confirmed Root and Recovery Installation Method

Hey guys,
Recently, I have been trying to re-root my LG G2 VS980 that was returned to lollipop stock (LG Firmware). However, all the tools I knew that previously worked, (Ioroot, Towelroot, Stumproot, Kingoroot, etc..) did not work. After months of testing, I finally found one app that currently works called KingRoot.
As far as I know, it is the only root method that acutally still works after LG patched most of the exploits so I thought I would share the info with you guys in case some of you are still interested in rooting your G2.
Instructions:
1. Install Kingroot: http://kingroot.net/ (the APK doesn't work for the G2)
2. Go to settings in your phone and click the build number 7-10 times to enable Developer Options
3. Go to Developer Options and enable USB Debugging
4. plug the phone into your computer and launch the program. Make sure you see the USB Debugging card that will pop up on your phone.
Launch the program and allow the program to root your phone.
Sidenote: The only downside to the app is it is all in Korean but it is very easy to tell what it is asking due to excellent pictures
After you receive root, download the app RootChecker just to make sure.
To Install TWRP:
1. Instructions: Go to Play Store and type in the search window, "AUTOREC".
2. Select the correct variant: ex. VS980=Verizon etc...
3. Install the app.
4. Watch TWRP Install on your phone.
5. Reward yourself on your hard work with a pat on the back.
So that's it; A fast easy, and trouble free method on getting root and installing TWRP
Thanks for this. I recently acquired a G2, and will be trying this out tonight.

No problem. Have fun with your custom ROM of choice.
Can you share the setup files? I also need to re-root my Verizon phone. The kingroot ownload links looks dead
i downlaoded it from here. I have usb dev enabled. now what? http://kingroot-pc.en.uptodown.com/download
Stuck on that step. I know its telling me to enable USB debuggin which I have, it doens' do anythong when I click Go in Korean
I managed to enable debugging mode which was by setting the 'USB Type" on the phone to "Internet -> Ethernet"
But Kingroot isn't managing to root the phone. It goes 100 percent and nothing.
Ioroot managed to get the phone into the reboot phase but the phone no longer processed the splash screen of the recover/bootloader. The splash screen which has the android mascot on its back with abdomen open.
"LG G2 One lick Tool" makes the phone go to "download mode" but its stuck at 0 percent. I disconnect and replug in hope of kickstarting it, doesn't work.
What can I do now?

No idea. I was on a downgraded stock ROM, VS980_27A or was it VS980_24A. Can't remember; 4.4.2
Whatever it was, none of the popular rooting method was working. They were managing to do 'semi root' as in root message was displayed in "hard reset mode" and in 'download mode' but there was no root when the OS fully booted. The 'stock recovery' was also corrupted as in it showed a dead android with red exclamation mark. From the searching I did, people were saying there was no recovery installed so I needed one but I could not install. No stock recovery means no 'adb'.
Stump root gave 'complete' root. I hope you understand what I'm trying to say.
Will this work if I am on the 39aa update from Verizon? I am skeptical about this because this is my only phone and don't need to mess it up.

Google "AdAway XDA". The first result is the thread for the AdAway app.
And what do you mean in-app purchases? You install an app from the Play Store, tap the in-app button, add your gift card and/or credit/debit card (if required), buy.
If you're talking about circumvention, you are NOT going to get help here, AT ALL. This is not one of those places for that mess.

Ad block you don't need any guide. Just install the apk from f-droid. When you'll open the app it will prompt you to grant root access. Just click yes and you have to enable adblock from the app.

I know you are new here, and here is some friendly advice:
1) Search before you post! Most of the info you want, and probably ever want, is already on XDA. It's probably been asked and answered before, probably numerous times. There are a number of guides posted for basic things, like how to root. Just using the search function, or for that matter just browsing through the thread titles will often yield a lot of the info you are looking for. Also, there are resource threads like the Index at the top of the 3T "Guides, News & Discussion" section, which organizes a lot of the useful threads and other resources (with links). Be sure to take advantage of these threads "sticky" to the top of each section.
Only after you have done your due diligence, and can't find what you're looking for, should you make a new thread. If every person who was wondering "how to root" made a new thread asking that, this whole website would quickly become a cluttered, useless mess. The folks here are happy to provide help and try to answer your questions, but only after you've taken at least a little time to try to find the answer yourself.
2) You need to slow down and do some learning and reading. This is something you should have done before starting to do any of the steps toward root. Halfway down the phone modding rabbit hole is not the time to be asking questions like "how do I put the SuperSU zip on the phone".
I've been around here a long time, and modded/rooted a lot of devices. Even so, every time I get a new device, I spend at least an hour or two reading about the root methods (plus possible pitfalls, issues, etc.) for that specific device (as every one has it's own peculiarities and nuances). I simply can't fathom jumping into the root/mod process without this minimum due diligence.
3) Make sure you understand the meaning and implications of an unlocked bootloader, root, etc. There are benefits, and there are also risks. When someone comes on here asking the questions you are asking, what often comes to mind is that a person with that lack of knowledge has no business having root. This isn't to be mean, it's just a fact (at least as I see it).
Side note: I'm not a fan of YouTube guides. They have a place, in conjunction with (but not a replacement for) proper reading and understanding. Just following one of those videos, without doing any other learning, is going to get you in trouble. You'll only know enough to get yourself into a jam (which is inevitable if you play with these devices), without a clue of how to get out. Know (at a minimum) how to recover or get back to stock. Case in point, the linked video skipped what is to me, a critical step. You should always make a TWRP backup before flashing any mods like root or custom ROM. It's not technically a "requirement" but to me, its a must. This gives you an easy way out, if anything goes wrong (and it eventually will). Sure, there are other ways to recover. But the simple step of making a TWRP backup is one way, that doesn't require any additional downloads, tools, etc. It's simply a no-brainer to me, to do this.

The Complete Guide to Flashing Android 7.1.1 (CM14.1 Unofficial) on a LG G2 (VS980)

(Note: I didn't make any of this software. I just found it all and brought it together. I apologize for not being able to add direct links to each post I got this all from, I didn't record the sites I got them from.)
This is for the people who were unlucky enough to own a VS980 LG G2, rather than the other models which are loved by developers, a phone that is incredibly finicky and niche...
I honestly wish somebody made a guide like this for us VS980 users (a phone which most ROMs don't work on, has a locked bootloader, etc...) before I had to experience this pain.
(Okay, rant over.)
However, I have done it anyway and installed 7.1.1 Nougat on the VS980
(If you don't know the pain I'm talking about, consider yourself lucky...)
I've also gathered all the necessary files to one place so you won't have to hunt like I did. Following this guide to a T should result in a "effortless" to a "dang, I had to do something" modding experience
"Basic" Steps:
Install ALL tools Necessary (Drivers, Programs, Etc...)
Downgrade to Kitkat
Root
Install TWRP and Kernel
Erase Phone
Install Bootstack
Install ROM (CM14.1)
Install Gapps
Reboot and Enjoy (Might take a while first boot.)
Additional Notes (So you guys don't do what I do)
The files are all downloadable here:
Mega: https://mega.nz/folder/nOQiSZhA#geOCtLtVnEqVABogOXhmvA
(The files are 3.3GB so it will take a while.)
Use MegaDownloader to bypass Mega's download restrictions:
https://megadownloader.en.softonic.com/
The folders are marked accordingly to the "Basic" steps listed above.
Follow each of them in order and Open the "READ ME" text file in each for instructions.
Good luck!
(Sorry for the Bland-looking Post and Files, I don't really have a knack for making colorful Guides.)
EXTRA:
If you'd like to try getting 8.1, Here's a link to a ROM (I tested) that works:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/rom-aospextended-rom-v5-6-t3802329
Just make sure you flash the bootstack. Files are found in Folder: "9.Things to Try"
Basically follow the same steps (Downgrading, TWRP, etc...)
-Use Magisk to Root (Better than Super SU because, installed properly, it will hide your root so you don't
have to use Root Cloak.) <=(Pokémon GO)
NOTICE: WHEN REBOOTING AFTER FLASHING, DO NOT PRESS INSTALL SUPER SU
Just press do not install. You can root later....
[ Installing Super SU can possibly brick your phone and you'll have to start over ]
(It's just that every time I press that button, it never works... but I'm not sure )
If you brick your phone (Black screen of death), you can use a USB jig to get it to download mode and use the .kdz flasher (Lg Flash Tool) to restart from the beginning with the stock software.
USB jigs are really cheap (like <2$. I just made one myself ) and are incredibly useful to get out of tight situations. If you plan on modding a lot in the future, you should consider getting one.
(If you don't know what I am talking about, try to keep it that way.)

Is anyone still out there?
All of the Mega linked folders are empty, am I doing something wrong?
As a side note, my objective is to upgrade the ROM to at least Marshmallow so I can install Android Auto and Screen2 Auto. There is one app I want to use but it isn't allowed by Android Auto. I'm then hoping to make the phone a dedicated Android Auto "server" and leave it connected to my car's USB port. Any guidance on the best way to do this would be appreciated.
My VS980 is currently on the stock Android 5.0.2 ROM.
Update: I managed to get CM14.1 installed following the "Basic" steps. It took some trial and error but I got there.
If anyone finds this thread and knows of a better ROM for my use I'd be interested in hearing about it.

I think the files expired in Mega (or I'm doing something wrong to access them).
My phone seems to be working OK but I don't use it for making phone calls.
My main problem now is I can't figure out how to access fastboot. I get a "waiting for any device" response when I issue any fastboot command. I can get to the download screen where it is waiting for a firmware update but I can't get past that.
Re uploaded the MEGA link. Don't know why there weren't any files there anymore. It is probably because I didn't check it for a while.

[Guide] Unlocking Bootloader and gaining root on the A90 5G

Notes: This trips KNOX so you will void your warranty, read all the steps carefully before beginning, flashing can be dangerous if you do it wrong. Don't blame me if you brick your device.
Backup all of your data and settings before starting as you will need to reset to factory defaults during this process.
With that being said, the process is relatively straightforward and easy.
PS: my device is the A908B, there is also an A908N if anyone wants to test on that be my guest.
Needed:
ADB
SamFirm
Odin
Magisk Manager
Step 1 - Downloading your firmware.
Go to SamMobile SM-A908B
Find the correct firmware for your device according to country and operator.
Note: You can use generic country firmware instead, this will remove carrier added software and limitations but may remove features and disables OTA updates.
Note the 'product code'.
Now open SamFirm.
Type SM-A908B for model
In the region box type the product code you noted earlier.
Click Check Updates.
When it has found the firmware, make sure decrypt automatically is checked and then click download rom.
The firmware is around 4gb.
Part 2 - Unlocking the Bootloader
Go to settings > about phone > software information. Hit build number a bunch of times until you activate developer options.
Go back to settings > developer options
Enable OEM unlocking
Enable USB debugging
Turn off the phone
Hold volume up and volume down whilst inserting the USB cable
This should take you to the bootloader unlock screen.
Long press Volume up to unlock the bootloader.
Part 3 - Obtaining root
After SamFirm finished downloading the rom it should have extracted it into 5 tar files.
Copy the tar file beginning with AP to your device.
Download Magisk Manager on the device and install.
Press Install on Magisk Manager
Confirm the Install
Select the option 'select and patch file', then locate the APdjkfgrsdkfhgkjrg.tar.md5 on your device and select it.
Magisk will then patch the file and dump the patched version to your phone.
Copy the patched.tar to your PC
Reboot phone into download mode
Open Odin
For BL use the BL.tar.md5 file from stock firmware
For AP use the patched.tar file
For CP use the CP.tar.md5 file from stock firmware
For CSC use the CSC.tar.md5 file from stock firmware (not the CSC_HOME)
Press Start and wait for it to flash
After flashing, the phone will reset.
After initial setup, install magisk manager again.
Remove the USB cable and turn off the phone.
Turn on the phone by holding volume up and power, let go when you see the bootloader warning.
Open Magisk Manager Click Install.
Phone is now rooted.
Note: Powering on the device normally will disable root, you must hold volume up to power on the device to activate root.
Awesome job thanks a lot
Going to put a few hours into compiling twrp tonight but this might take me forever, I'm really busy with work and I got 2 kids too so free time is scarce. So feel free to have a go at it yourself.
After root activation with the volume button start up will the root persist? Can the device be restarted without any hidden key?
Thank you
Yes the root persists, but every time you turn the phone off and back on again you will have to hold up to activate the root. Resetting the phone while root is enabled does not disable it though iirc.
More work done on twrp last night, nearly ready to attempt compiling.
Edit: So I made a device tree and compiled twrp fine. Unfortunately it needs a custom kernel to be able to boot. Working on this now.
Any further progress??
No not really. I need to reach out to the twrp Devs of the S10 and see what modifications they did to theirs, but super busy at the moment. Sorry.

Ok so I made a lot of progress since last post. I'm compiling the kernel as I type. But the process takes a long time. If we are lucky it will boot twrp straight away if not I'll keep at it until I manage.

Really the specified TWRP should be developed.

Hello,
I tried to root my phone today, and I followed every step exactly, but now I am stuck in a Boot Loop, after the Step of Flashing. Can someone help, or knows why this happened? Thank you.
---------- Post added at 07:48 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:03 PM ----------
Okay I fixed it myself. The Problem was, I only Flashed the BL File. After that I flashed the other files one by one, did a Factory Reset in Recovery mode and now it worked! I even have root now.

Hello please can someone help me root this phone, i have followed the steps but i just seem to be missing something so can someone take me through this step by step for a dumb person like myself lol?
At first i was struggling with part one of this tutorial but once i updated samfirm i was able to download it without a problem. moving over to the last step which is using odin to do its thing with the tar files and upon finishing where it should reboot it is stuck into a boot loop saying "this phone is not running samsungs offical software", i am not sure what i am missing and i am able to fix the phone without any problems but no root is achieved
Hello. May I ask about the progress on TWRP for this phone?
