Music transfer from computer to G1 with artwork?

For a windows computer? I need a program that will sync music with artwork to my G1 artwork got from iTunes.

Have you tried doubletwist ?

Yes but before I sync I need a program that add's automaticly some album artwork.

Android looks for the Artwork in the ID3-Tags, so you need to put your covers in the ID3Tag, i didn't find a good app for it yet, but you can try MP3Tag.

Using it right know but how do you batch download artwork?

No option for it

After spending hours one night using a Windows program to edit the tags, I resynced all my music only to find the art still did not sync. Then I saw some screen shots from mikey1022 in a development thread. A screenshot showed a program in his app drawer called album art grabbed. So I downloaded it and it worked. Even for all my Christian artists(not mainstrream so I'm assuming they would be harder to find.) The author said all music apps would use the art from that program.

Hmmm I have about 5 almbums without artwork and it didn't work on any of them :-S

Windows Media Player? It tries to find art work on the internet AFAIK.
I hate to say it....but.... iTunes is pretty easy to use when you need to mess with your mp3 tags. My wife has iPod so we already have it installed so I just use that, Find my artwork in Google image search, copy highlight album in itunes lib and just add it to the song info. Pretty easy IMHO

Album Art App?

I use these on the DX for album art. Makes the music galllery look much better. So far the 2 ive used dont work. Art Grabber finds art but it doesnt show it in the XOOM's music app.
Any suggestion?

i am having the same issues... some of the artwork shows and some doesnt and I have no idea why.

Same here with album art. Hopefully that will get fixed soon.
I just tried the headphones for the first time and my ear drums just got blown out. Very loud and I like it.

After you get album art with another app successfully, you need to go to Settings, Manage Apps, find the Music app and then Clear Data. These are off the top of my head instructions and can be cleaned up as I'm sure they aren't exact. Once you've cleared the data for the Music app, your newly downloaded album art should be present.

What's a good album art AP to use?

Album Art grabber is working fine for me (must to the clear data trick in settings).

No Track ID link in Walkman! (Xperia Z JB 4.2.2)

Hi There! I have a concern which may not seem to be critical to everybody but to me it is, In the walkman application (Xperia Z) when we like a song, it shows the title, the artist and a default track id link, which perhaps shows song details (artist, album etc) on facebook. In my case I am unable to get the link and therefore songs which I like are just shown up as text status updates on facebook. I reinstalled track id, deleted & once again created Xperia with Facebook account, reinstalled the firmware, repaired through PC Companion but nothing seems to be working ! Hopefully its a bug in 4.2.2 built number 10.3.A.0.423. Please let me know your experiences!! Am I missing on something??
Also to let you know, download music info works flawlessly!

if you like a song through track id it will show on FB as track id blah blah song being liked.
so technically spitting the walkman like and the track id like separate.

Yes.. On track ID it works and shows a link with details but as far as I know walkman on other Xperia models shows a default track ID link and shows proper info regarding artists, album on Facebook.. I don't think Sony wants to leave this option incomplete in Xperia Z! Otherwise they wouldn't have given the like option in Walkman..

I Have a ZR with similar issue. Today I updated my TrackID app and still the same issue, so I charged my phone while off, then after turning it on, I tried again and was lucky To get a trackID Link on the post. But what's not good is that, I tried it again on some of my songs and the TrackID link did not show again. I think there is a problem between the Walkman app communicating with The TrackID application.

I need some help with regard to the Sony Walkman app. It won't recognize a song (910 files copied to my phone, 909 songs available) and off course it's a big hassle to manually find the song.. Anyone know 1) a way to find the missing song, 2) why it's missing (read something about weird symbols in id-tags or something). Thanks in advance!

Where did u copied the songs? SD or main memory? If its SD card just take it out and insert again. If its a main memory make
sure the folder is visibile by non root file commander. You can also try to clear cache and data of walkman app in settings.

Maybe the song is in some other format that doesn't come under songs in the walkman app..perhaps it's recognising it as a ringtone or stuff..btw it's just one song lol...a number I could live with..

Yeah, i know... It just bugs me I guess.. You 'fixed' it I guess, by searching for the format, I found that the folder contained 909 songs, but iTunes contains 910 songs (used Synctunes). Will try to find the missing song in iTunes now. Thanks!

Spoke too soon: Windows explorer tells me there are 910 songs in the folder, but when I select 'sort by type', I have 903 mp3's and 6 mp4a's. So one's missing, but when I scroll through the folder when I sort it by name, I don't see anything extraordinary.. I know this is not really a Xperia Z problem, but I guess I'll just share it right here, in the hope someone knows a little more

Album Question

Hello all... when i open album i see all the photos, how can i see ALBUMS ? i mean like CM gallery... it shows by default all the FOLDERS... i wanna see folders... who can help me ?

I use an app called QuickPic it shows by albums or folders.
I'm settings I wasn't able to get it to work that way.
