Minor Bug Report
Thanks so much for this!
Have found two bugs so far, one of which is well known regarding CM11 and G2:
1. When "Prevent accidental wake-up" is enabled, covering the proximity sensor and trying to double tap to unlock, prevents the phone from unlocking. This is the correct behavior, but when uncovering the sensor while till locked, and attempting to double tap to unlock again, the phone still thinks the sensor is covered and refuses to unlock unless you use the power button.
2. When enabling the menu button for the navigation bar, and viewing currently open apps, the menu button has a double tap sound. It has the correct single tap sound anywhere else.
That's all I can find so far, apart from the known FC when Digital video stabilization is enabled.
Great work!
:good:

why do we need a new thread ?

thanks for clearing it, yes, major diffrence.
i checked the Gapps in the download link - seem all are old versions.

thanks

That's strange it doesn't happen for you... It happens for me on every AOSP ROM... If I cover the sensor and double tap, then uncover the sensor and double tap, it won't wake up..

Tried few times and every time uncover and double tap it wakes up. Baseband 20f.

That's a good question, I did a clean wipe from cloudy g3.
I would guess a pure one as I haven't flashed a baseband ever.
I would not know how to check so I have attached this:
Has this issue somehow been solved by flashing a modified baseband? As far as I can see, it seems Alegen has worked in a fix, something about "inaccurate sensor".

@jl10101
You want to use the pure one on all 4.4 kernel based Roms now. If you're unsure, check out the couldyfa thread for his stock kernel in the android Dev section. He has all the KitKat pure basebands there.
I'd try clean flashing with the baseband before the ROM and gapps.
I've never had said issue either and I've flashed everything.

Thanks for this! I have downloaded the baseband and will clean flash the ROM and baseband together... Hopefully I'll have a working sensor after covering it
If this is the fix, then it should deserve it's own thread I think...
Will report back shortly!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS
Excuse the caps but I was looking so hard for someone to do this!
Question though: I'm aware of the DIS FC on CM because it's done it to me on official CM rom but, does this happen because it conflicts with the built in OIS or that's not working either?

OIS works as its a hardware feature, it's better than DIS as it is almost a counter balance in the lens itself... Wouldn't use DIS if it worked anyway [emoji106]

OIS works. It's not software dependent. Only DIS fc currently.

Installation
1: If you are coming from another ROM do a full wipe
1a: If you are updating from this ROM you can wipe cache and dalvik cache
2: Flash gapps (download below)
2a: If you are S-on, or don't know what I'm talking about, then its safe to say you need to flash the boot.img in the rom.zip
3: Reboot
4: Enjoy PAC-man 4.3
Please read the whole post for changelog, Download links, and other important info
. As always: remember it takes a FULL charge from AC, and a full discharge then re charge battery to be accurate. Also leave it plugged in for up to an hour at 100%, Another thing i find helps battery life is to make custom auto-adjustment values if you use auto-brightness. Check below for full changelog Feedback always welcome Please read the Kernel section for more info and full config options for the kernel.

* Compiled with linaro
* Set flash to disable if battery is below 10% to prevent the random shut-off when taking a pic
* Removed/Disabled KSM
* Removed ZRAM
* User-configurable GPU OC (Not OC'd by default)
* Optimized and compiled with with the "Optimize a lot, or -o3 option)
* Added more I/O schedulers
* Tweaked voltages a bit
* Reverted CRT hack to smooth animation in Android 4.2.2
* Increased PMEM_MDP as it is needed in Android 4.2.2 to fix soft-reboots
* PM_FAST enabled by default (high power wi-fi when screen is off)
These settings were changed by Albinoman to help make the kernel more stable with our ROM, observed with tests by him. If you want more features of the Sultan kernel feel free to flash it, but support will not be provided in this thread.
Other Features of the kernel include:
* OC to 1866Mhtz (default 1566Mhtz)
* Undervolted
* User-configurable CPU OC
* User-configurable CPU default governor (ondemand = default)
* User-configurable I/O scheduler (default = SIO)
* User-configurable badass gonvernor (default = balanced)
You can edit many of the settings in /system/etc/init.d/99kernel,
Bugs
* MHL doesn't work
* back cam recording freezes if stopped after 30sec
* Random FC on certain apps. Pac problems
* Toggles in settings not working. You have to go into the setting (wifi,bluetooth, etc)
* You tell me!
Notes
* As of AOSP 4.2.2 ADB now has a whitelist feature. On first connect with adb it will say device offline You need to update your ADB then with the phone connected. Disable and Re-Enable Android Debugging in the Developer Options menu. It will ask if you want to accept and show the PC's RSA key. Select Yes and it will now work as expected
* If you are having a lot of soft reboots when waking the device set you min CPU freq. to 384htz in Performance settings.
* If you are coming from another ROM i highly recommend you perform and Wipe Date/Factory Reset in recovery menu when applying this ROM.
* The gapps linked to does not have photosphere. As far as i know it's not supposed to. If you want photophere search for the flashable zip
* If you can't get MMS to work. Send yourself a MMS. or just wait a day. eventually they will work again
* For the best battery life I suggest the stock settings with the exception of the ONDEMAND governor. Switching to BADASS will yield best battery results

I have the same problem as in the 4.2.2, no phone reception, though data works and Wi-Fi.
would you mind telling me how I could extract the radio file from Telstra stock rom and adding it to your rom?? it might help a lot of Aussies get good reception
thank you

Go Settings > wifi > [menu soft key] > advanced; turn off "scanning always on". That is on by default.
Then go to GPS in Settings and turn off Location Access if you haven't already.
That brought down Google Services battery usage down to 15% from 54%. It still shouldn't be so high bit I don't know what else to do. If you have Google Maps 7.x then turn off location access in that too. It is separate to the OS service for some reason now.
---------- Post added at 02:04 AM ---------- Previous post was at 01:58 AM ----------
Also, I'd like to report some bugs. After reboot my app shortcuts on my homescreens are messed up. Folders do not contain all the apps I placed in them and some shortcuts are on the wrong screen. Widgets appear unaffected but I haven't tested that.
Also, the camera is a black screen until after a few attempts to focus on a chosen point. Then it overexposes the image.
I'm not sure if my reception is weaker as the 4.2.2 PAC rom didn't display reception properly. It displays properly the icon and text/dBm.
Electron beam shutoff animation blinks strangely (not sure if you can fix that) it worked so smoothly in 4.2.2.
And it appears that the random pause during music and video playback that I experienced in 4.2.2 is gone.
I blame tyler.
Otherwise this rom is a big improvement over 4.2.2 with the smoothness and speed.

Will test and report after

OK so while flashing encountered some errors. TWRP 2.6.3.4 gives FAILED and philz gives a status 7 error. I ignored them and booted and the os was installed. Another thing is that there is no camera app. It is in system but it doesn't show up in drawer or anywhere. Thanks for the rom!

Thank you for the feedback, I use TWRP and there has been an issue where if you wipe system TWRP has an issue formating it while it is mounted so if you manually unmount /system that should take care of it. I would guess the missing camera could be an issue with the flash.

Checked in the mounts and system wasn't mounted. Ticked and unticked and it still had the same issue after flashing. I'll post here the flash log when I get home in a couple of hours
Alright, I have an updated build using IllusionRom's kernel and the SaberMod 4.7 Toolchain. This, to me, has been the fastest and most stable my G2 has run, I have had this tested on every G2 variant and so far it seems to be stable and run well. If you are feeling up to it please try the OTA, if not I will post links a bit later tonight.
Please feel free to give me feedback on the OTA experience and how the kernel works for you.
Changelog is in the OTA, to manually update go to Settings > About Phone > LiquidSmooth Updates if it does not show 3.0-20140331 use the menu to Refresh.
Thanks for checking out my build and I hope it works as well for you as it has been working for me!
I was hopping roms the last few days because of the call echo. Is that fixed in d802? I really need my daily Dosis of liquid.
Edit : nvm, looks like i can't tell the difference between d802&d803

I know all I've been doing is posting bugs but I have to report my findings haha
When I go to Liquid OTA it says
"Unsupported Rom: The ROM developer has not enabled support for the OTA Updater! Please ask them (Kindly) to add support before using this app!
(otaupdater.otaid value empty or missing)"
I press "Ignore" and head to where the OTA should be. Pressed refresh a couple of times and it didnt show anything.
Thanks for showing interest in one of the variants that has gotten the least support compared to other variants. This looks promising!

I must have screwed something up when I added it to the OTA.
No problem, I am just glad you are responding and giving feedback.
Edit: OTA should be fixed in the next build. The OP link has been updated.

Hm, I'd like to know what have been the results for other users. I flashed the latest 31/3 one and got the same failed, flashed gapps after, booted, same camera issue and when I went to the OTA updater it gave the same "device not supported" message. Apart from that, the rom is completely fine.
I took the d802 version, changed the updater-script and flashed Furnace 1.8.1 on top of it, and so far so good, no issues on the d803. Loving the work you've done on it, will use that one from now on

Sorry, I meant the build after 31/3 will have a working OTA. If really like to hear from others as well. ~30 people have downloaded it so someone other than you should have installed it by now.
I will look at the build.prop and configs to make sure something wasn't missed in the bring up.

First time installing OmniROM to your Xperia TX, or coming from another ROM:
- Read known issues and FAQs
- Copy GApps and OmniROM ZIPs to your SDCard
- Flash the kernel in the zip first using fastboot
- Reboot into Recovery
- Flash OmniROM zip from SDCard
- Flash GApps zip from SDCard
- DO A DATA WIPE / FACTORY RESET (otherwise your device will be stuck at boot)
- Reboot
- Don't restore system data using Titanium Backup!
- Restoring Apps + Data might cause problems and is not recommended, avoid it if possible!
Upgrading from earlier version of OmniROM:
- Copy the OmniROM ZIP to your SDCard
- Boot into Recovery
- Flash the OmniROM zip from SDCard
- Reboot
Issues:
1. Some camera settings such as ISO, HDR are missing. Can't be set even via 3rd-party apps.
2. Sometimes there are pops when playing music.
3. Contacts and SMS on SIM card can't be read. Try this patch. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=52938188&postcount=35 Note that this patch will cause mobile data to stop working on DC-HSPA+ networks

I'm using the first build @updateing put out in the Kexec thread. Considering the fact that I sort of dislike any type of stock ROM, and this ROM has been working flawlessly, i.e., no random reboots, camera works, vibration works, calling works, even while on loudspeaker (haven't noticed any whistling yet, but then again, I never had that problem so...), I don't see a reason to ever go back to a stock Sony ROM; and I'm assuming the new build probably behaves the same.
It just feels so much better to have an operating system that has everything working off a 200mb installation zip, when compared to the near 700mb of a Sony stock ROM.

Finally there is a stable KitKat ROM for our TX...Thanks OmniROM team and tilal6991! I made some small adjustments to make OmniROM run on TX and (re)ported the kernel source from 9.2.A.0.295. Most of the work is done by tilal. Original thread for Xperia T is here.

I noticed something weird with the notification light behavior...
Lets say the mobile is charging, giving a yellow led and whenever you get a mail, message, whatsapp or watever, the notification blinks white (quite normal) and yellow is off
After clearing the notifications, i loose the charging led...meaning it does not get the yellow light back on...even if charger is unplugged and plugged back again, notification light for charging does not light up..
Anyone experienced the same?

It's only you. It's working fine on my phone.
On the other hand, I let my battery die, and when I connected my phone to the charger while off, I expected to see the charging screen, except that the screen stayed dark with the Sony logo lit up, and when I pressed the power button to turn on the screen, it had actually booted up to Android, showing a "system is not responding" message, and then shutdown due to low battery, as expected. I think there might be something wrong with charging while off.
The good news is the battery still charges while in TWRP, so I just left it there for two minutes then turned it back on.
about the out screen capacitive buttons
I am curious about the out of the screen capacitive buttons on XTX. is there any way to use them in 4.3 roms or is there any patch ??
coz in opening post it said there is a patch in download section but I am not seeing any :crying:
please let me know . I am very much astonished to know about these buttons and eager to use em

Yeah a little Birdy told me tooooo...
Just flashed this. Really like it so far. Haven't had much time to play around with stuff, but running great so far. Noticed OK Google is gone. Did you remove it?

OK Google is a Google launcher thing.. Still works just gotta have the launcher and Google Now.
OK thanks for the fast reply. Also noticed knock on is not working. Can I update touch firmware or will I need to flash renders kernel?

Like the OP states... This is AOSP.... and No. Updating firmware will not make it magically happen... There is still a lot of code to merge in for such features.. The purpose of this tread is to help spread the word to other Dev's that there is other sources out there that can be built from. This is just a taste of what this source can do..
Thanks for updating..

More than just a new ROM. The possibility to open up much more development.
Edit: and some differentiation
I usually run a very vanilla KK ROM and so I just had to try this as my first lollipop ROM..
Very nice and smooth. I flashed last night and set everything up. I've had no issues so far. Thanks much to the dev!

I can't confirm NFC because I have nothing to test with, but I just tested the stock FFC with both pic and video without issue.
Personally, I find the Google camera has a few more features. Maybe try that?

Just tested both Front and Rear camera and video with the app built with the ROM and no FC. As far as NFC well I gotta look into some of the updated commits made on it from other trees. Don't use the feature never have.

The Android Open Source Project
AOSP - Nougat 7.0.X is available for OnePlus X!
Code:
/*
* Your warranty is vo... Okay, is still valid!
* BUT
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
DUAL SIM DEVICES ARE NOT SUPPORTED FOR NOW, I don't know if I will add the support in the future.
Working:
- Boots (don't you say?)
- RIL (call, sms, mobile data)
- Bluetooth
- Camera (both)
- WiFi
- Audio
- GPS - Fix at second post, for now -
- Hotspot
- Ambient Display
- Adaptive brightness
- Sensors
Not Working
- Tri-state keys (will be fixed soon)
- Video Recording (you will have to use third app like Footej to record)
- HDR
-------------------------
OffScreen - Gestures are not AOSP related so, except for Double Tap to Wake, others will not be added. The same thing is for On screen NavBar.
No ETAs!
How to flash?
- Backup.
- Advanced Wipe on twrp: dalvik, system, data, cache.
- Flash Rom and Gapps (suggested Open Gapps micro or nano).

Gps flashable zip fix here
To correctly set the kernel: after the boot, go into Kernel Adiutor (download it from store) and into CPU section, set interactive (yes, I know it's already setted, but set it again).
Go into Thermal section and enable core control, then enable the apply on boot.
Reboot phone and go back into kernel adiutor.
Go into CPU section and check if the min core online are 2. If it's still one, set again as interactive and reboot.
If your min. cores on are 2, then set:
CPU Boost = 20 ms and sync treshold to 1267 MHz
Input boost freq. = 883 MHz.
Toggle on the apply on boot and you're ready to use the Aosp!
I suggest also as I/0 the choice noop scheduler for internal memory and deadline for ext SD, both at 512 kb

A brain? Yes I got it.
Now I am asking you twice, because a cm14 build says RIL is working in description but not working.
Please dude don't get angry on me. Is mobile data stable and working?
Just say Yes or No.
Thanks

Aw hell yeah !
Nice, was waiting for a aosp 7.0 rom. Just to clarify something i wasn't 100% sure, there aren't any gesture available right? Not even double tap? Or did you mean that double tap is already there but no other gesture will be added?
Thanks for the rom!

Double tap works natively. (even twrp has double tap to wake lol)
Others may be added soon

Double Tap is included and working
The other gestures will not be added because aren't AOSP native (it's also a terrible weird job to do)

Damn, it's CM for me then. Keep it up anyway brahh.
Awesome rom. Just noticed one bug until now, going into alarm clock settings and changing values, when going back to clock the app resets and the config goes back to default. No big deal, i will download google clock app from the play store
EDIT: scratch that, downloading the clock app from google also has the same behaviour
