I see no problem with making a hole for the buttons. LG already made the QuickWindow case that will be available at start.
There will be a few choices for cases I'm assuming when this phone finally launches. If I end up getting the G2 I'll probably go with Spigen. I mentioned this case in the other accessory thread.
What about Verizon model vs the rest? Keys are much smaller (I'm gonna say shrinking the buttons was equally as lame as the front Verizon logo, hopefully cases will cover that up)
I haven't been able to find anything yet for this other than the Verizon store who said they could order one (Quick view window case) for $50+.

The VZW G2 is thicker than the others and does not work with all the other cases. You need a specific VZW G2 case. I purchased the Poetic case and it does not fit my VZW G2.

I wonder if non-hardshell cases will work... like TPU cases, which are my preference.
So many on eBay from China.
Why do I always get stuck with a phone that never gets any worthwhile accessories? First, the HTC Incredible which was launched and then immediately forgotten about. Then the Galaxy Nexus which suffered the same fate. Now the LG G2 on Verizon with its different dimensions. Makes me want to switch to AT&T before my 14-days is up.
Anyone have live pics of the OtterBox Defender (or Commuter) case for the X? Can't find anything on Google except for marketing photos. Thanks

if i saw this posting tuesday i couldve taken pics of the defender i got when i got the phone but i returned it casue the holster is complete garbage just like it was on the razr cases...im waiting for my commuter to be shipped out. for for the time i use a diztronic case and hd case friendly zagg

I saw the Commuter on display somewhere. Couldn't find a rep to take it out of the box and display. It did look nice though, too bad it doesn't have a belt clip. I wish I could've seen it closer...

I do have the belt clip. It actually looks pretty much like the Iphone ( I don't use it). If I remember i'll take some pics.
I have the Defender and quite like the case itself. I bought it mainly because I like having a holster for my phone. The Moto X holster does seem to be made quite a bit cheaper then the three year old iphone 4 version I had previously. I also get the feeling the holster was from a different product and they just made the Moto X case fit it. The corners stick out much further then they need to on one side, no idea why. I have been meaning to ask Otterbox support why it is like this.

I'm thinking about buying the new Moto X and apparently Verizon will be running a promotion where they will be offering the a white/bamboo moto x for $99 on contract (not charging extra $25 for bamboo back). Can anyone share their experience with a bamboo back cover? It looks nice but i've never seen one in person and I was wondering how it holds up over time.

i have the leather version of moto x 2014... i never used cover so the back of the phone is kinda bumped/scratched/shocked etc....
i have been thinking in some leather fixers that they sell around internet... but i was wondering if there was a better way/

For cases it will depend on what case, just today I have tried the OEM Sony X case on my XP, it fits, but very tight, and using a cheap TPU case, the XP does not fit in a X case the buttons cut out goes out of place.
So if I have Sony Xperia X cases they should fit the Xperia X Performance? Reason I ask is because I used to own the Xperia X and sold it but I still have all my Xperia X cases left and I just purchased the Xpreria X Performance. I'm hoping my Xperia X cases will fit my X Performance. Does anyone know if they will? Please help. I don't know if should be ordering new cases or not as my Xperia X Performance has not arrived yet. So I've got a few days yet to order new cases if I need to but I wasn't sure if my X cases would fit my X Performance? Any help is greatly appreciated.
