[Q] Desire 500 Dual Sim System Dump? - HTC Desire 500

Hi everyone,
I rooted my daddy's D-500 Dual Sim, because he asked me for d2w-s2w gestures like on my M7. But first mount and booting problems, then 7 vibration(caused by rumrunner).
Tried all the custom roms in this section but all of them has a problem in it. Tried stock odex-deodex roms but no chance to boot up.
There is a dump for One sim, if anybody can backup his/her Dual Sim phone complete system(boot+kernel+recovery+system) and upload, I can donate and pray for him :cyclops:
Btw I granted s-off end of a month workin', but 7 vibrations still there. Any posibility is there something like flashing h-boot, adb command etc. for removing vibrations away?
Thank you already

I already did. Using ur boot7_no_oc version kernel. It works well, thank you. But my problem is 'unstability, no boot after power off' etc. with custom roms like clean rom, jelly kat. And can't flash stock roms(odex-deodex both tried), so i think the only solution is complete system backup. If you have dual sim device or system dump can you share it with me?

guys i was able to s-off and root my IS last night with help from alpha rev x.
i then attempted to install custom rom using CWM recovery.
inside recovery i can install the rom fine, it says its installed, aswell as no-sense 1.5 - there are no errors.
but when i go to reboot again, it just sits on the htc boot screen and i have to pull battery to get back into recovery.
please help

I think it's to do with the radio, someone said that in the alpharevx chat.
did they say how to fix?
is it in the alpharev x thread?
can you link?
how long do you wait for the white htc screen?
I took quite a while for it to load, ill say try reboot and wait for 30 mins
and make sure u have ext4 if the rom require ext4
and i dont think that your phone is bricked
same here...
hi, i am in the same boat as you are. I s-offed through alpharevx, great work btw! I also rooted through superoneclick by means of gingerbreak, also great work! thank these guys so much. Here comes the problem. I downloaded rom manager from the market and installed clockworkmod recovery through that. and i attempted to load a custom rom through the recovery tool. it went fine without any error. however, when i try to reboot, i get the htc logo on white background.... I flashed partition using ext4 formatting tool from here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1088498 , i also flashed the radio specified in this post....but same thing, stuck at "htc"... help...
you have to install 4EXTRecovery_v1.0.6_modded_CWMR_v4.0.0 first. you can find the steps here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1104765. when I tried with just Format_data_partition_EXT4 I got the same results as you
Thank you! I tried the other recovery you mentioned. worked like a charm! Thanks.
once you've flashed, let me know if you still have earpiece volume with the custom rom. And if you do, did you flash a new radio?

Deleted stock OS and backup!!! HELP

I had rooted my device HTC One M8 (Sprint), and while attempting to flash the Venom ROM I deleted my stock OS as well as my backup. I am able to reboot into reboot into TWRP recovery and fast boot usb is recognized. However while attempting to use commands on terminal (Mac and PC) nothing is responsive. The only thing I can think of is trying to flash the stock Harmond ROM since there is no stock ROM for Sprint's regular M8 posted online yet. Another problem I have is to flash the Harmond ROM I would have to have S-Off, but unfortunately mine turned back on after I wiped everything. I was told by another person to side load a ROM but like I said commands are not working. I have also tried flashing from installing them on my external SD, but all the ROMS I have found require to have S-Off. Please help and tell me I am not completely screwed.
You don't need S-off to flash any of the ROM's here. S-off is preferred if you're able to obtain it on your device, but it's not required. Use the mount option in TWRP to move a ROM from your PC to your phone, then flash the ROM like normal. Don't forget to make a backup once you're done getting things set up.

I installed two different Harman stock RUU's onto my SD card and got activity on the boot loader screen loading them. Then after the forced reboots it would just send me into the white HTC starting screen and wouldn't do anything after that. Also tried two of the Venom ROMs but the touch screen as well as the volume up/down do not allow you to select continue to proceed the flash process. After doing some research Sprint carriers, which I am have the same issue. Have also tried Revolution and Badboy from my SD card and nothing came from them.
You have to have SuperCID to run the HK RUU. See the thread for more info. For the touch issue in Aroma, check out the thread in the link below:

Htc one can't go back to stock

Hi everyone, I 've successfully installed cm11 using Qbking77 tutorial with the CyanogenMod Installer on my htc one but after having some problems with music playback and battery life I've decided to go back to stock.
I've successfully relocked the phone but I can't find the exact Ruu file for my phone and I've tried with other similar ruu but had no luck.
The phone is S On HBBOOT-1.57.000 RADIO -4T.29.3218.08 OS-6.09.401.5
The phone is also stuck in boot loop and recovery mode does not work.
I have found a guy with a similar problem in this site and someone told him to try to run the firmware first and then try to flash TWRP, now the problem is after downloading the firmware file when typing the cmd command adb reboot bootloader it says that it can not find any devices. I'm not really sure what to do now.
Any help appreciated!!!thanks

Firstly, have you enabled usb debugging on your phone? And have you downloaded the most up to date adb drivers and the most up to date HTC drivers?
Because you are s on you cannot flash to downgrade your firmware
Also as your bootloader is now relocked, you cannot flash TWRP either. The bootloader needs to be unlocked to flash custom recovery
There is no RUU available for your phone, so the best option is either a guru reset which will also install stock recovery, or a nandroid backup

about the usb debugging if you are talking before the boot loop happened, yes I had it enable.
I'm gonna try one of those options to see if it works and then I'm gonna report back to let you know what happened.
btw thank you for the reply.

You are welcome, haven't fixed anything yet but come back here again with how things are going
The only way your going to get any function from adb is through recovery, using the sideload method. You should get yourself TWRP and flash using fastboot, then boot to recovery and side load a stockish rom, say viperone or the like. I choose not to run CM or any other AOSP rom for the reasons you listed in OP among others. I currently run ViperOne comming from CM and the battery life is not even comparable. Going back to stock is going to be tough per with your version of hboot s-off is not an easy task as of yet.

I'm quite new to this things so I don't understand much about it, but do you recommend installing a different rom rather then going back to stock? to be honest after all these problems I've had with cm11 I would prefer going back to stock :/

You need to unlock your bootloader first via HTC dev and then flash TWRP recovery
Reboot to recovery and choose to sideload a Rom via adb - download a sense Rom of your choice. There are plenty to chose from
Unfortunately, your going to have a difficult time going back to "Stock." You can use a custom recovery to flash a "Stock" rom, as stovie_steve mentioned, a sense rom. To you the phone will be "Stock" the only difference here is your warranty is void .

I unlocked the bootloader and rebooted the phone and everything seems to work fine. But now I don't know what I should do... Now I don't think that I want to go back to stock because it looks a bit difficult and I might end up doing something wrong and brick my phone. Is the viper rom good? I've got cm11 but as I said the battery is draining fast and I still got the music playback problem. Is it hard to install another rom? If it's not I'll probably do it.

Step 1: download a sense based ROM - ARHD, viper one, insertcoin etc onto your phone
Step 2: flash latest TWRP
Step 3: flash the ROM you downloaded
Step 4: **optional** to obtain s off, use firewater or sunshine
Thanks for the help I'm probably gonna try to install the viper one

Personally, ViperOne is the only sense based rom I will use. Its loaded with goodies and stable as they come. But there will be no harm in flashing many roms until you find something you like. Try Viper, do some shopping around, simply do a backup and flash whatever.. dont like it restore your back up. Just remember to have a current back up always. I keep ViperOne and CM installs on the sd as well as backups of both, never know what mood I be in, have the 64GB so I dont mind 5-10GB tied up by these things. Its up to You but Yes I recommend ViperOne,

Well I'm taking it you haven't read up too much on the status of the S5 for AT&T and Verizon, but the bootloader is locked and encrypted with no known workaround so you can't flash a custom recovery.
The only option for recovery is Safestrap. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2794087

You really need to do a lot more reading I'm not being rude but by what you're posting leads me to believe you've jumped into the AT&T S5 and didn't know what you were getting into. Every device is completely different. If I were you I'd try to do quite a bit more research before going any further before you brick your device I'd start here.

Need to reinstall phone

hey guys, Just trying to get my bearings on where to start. A friend game me a HTC Desire 510 that was not loading for him. Just sticking on the HTC loading screen.
He managed to "unlock" it. Not sure if it has root access.
In anycase it will not loal anymore, stuck on HTC load screen. I followed a few threads and tried to reset/restore things but now it looks like i need to just reinstall the OS.
Where I am lost is where/can i get the stock OS for this phone?
If not , do i need to get root access, load in a bootloader and then load in a custom ROM?
last time I did all this before was 2 years ago on a Samsung so I am a little rusty on the steps.
details
HTC Desire 510 - europe (Irish)
HBOOT - 3.19.0.0000
Radio 01.02.012
When I load up the bootloader I have "Sofrware status: Officaial *** at the tope and UNLOCKED under that.
Cheers
check the htc website for the latest rom(update) also this thread is sprint/virgin/boost
http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/development/virgin-sprint-htc-desire-510-stock-t2961521
cricket stock rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/desire-510/help/stock-rom-cricket-htc-desire-510-t3161697
id see if the htc site works first but thats just me.
hope i was of help to you with your issues if not wait for more experanced members to assist.

Are you in Europe? If you are that's most likely a 64 bit phone and you'll need Philz Touch Recovery unless you have one installed. You'll also need to find a 64 bit stock HTC desire 510 rom.. It should work after installing them.
Edit: The HTC websites rom updater will not work since the phones boot is unlocked.. Just try what I said above.
Yes I am in Europe.
Will give what suggested a go and let you know..

Ok guys , getting around to trying this now but running into some small problems.
Question 1
I have installed adb.exe and it does work with my main phone (HTC m8) but when i plug in the broken phone it does not pick up that phone (when i do a ">adb.exe devices") I saw some comments saying that I need to enable debug mode but how can I do that when i cannot even load the phone up ?
Question 2
I would like to install this Philz Touch Recovery , so i can installed the new RUU but I see on some sites that I need to install ClockworkMod first. Now I am not sure if this is needed or not but i still have the problem of being unable to install it from the bootloader screen. There is no option to install from zip? So this might sound like a real n00b question but how can install anything to my phone when all i have it the bootloader screen. My options when i boot up are . . .
Fastboot
-->HBOOT
-->RAMDUMP
-->REBOOT
-->REBOOT fastboot
-->power down
recovery
factory reset
simlock
check smartSD
image CRC show barcode.
Review. . .
I would think my issue is with the broken phones connecting to my laptop and the use of adb.exe. If I could get that working i can use adb.exe to installl clockworkmod and from that I can boot up the phone and install Philz Touch Recovery, and then using phils installer I can install the original 64bit Rom and be in business?
does that seem right?
Cheers

Well now that you say that. I am having a strange issue. The phone will boot but only when I select "recovery" mode from the bootloader?
I presume what I have done is flashed the wrong image to the wrong section. I think i need to to flash something to boot and not to recovery when I was running the "fastboot flash recovery image.img!"
ideas?

I don't get what you're trying to do. If you wanna get back up and running, all you have to do is relock the bootloader and run the RUU... That's it. Your recovery doesn't matter. You don't need a custom recovery for that. Any custom recovery you have will be replaced by the stock one when you run the RUU.
I haven't been on this forum much lately, (so please correct me if I'm wrong, somebody) but from what I remember, the only custom recovery available for the 64-bit variant 510 is Philz. If that's the case then you shouldn't be flashing CWM

Yes you seem to be correct . I locked the bootloader and then used the command "fastboot flash boot <htc_orginal_ruu>" and it started working again.
I had lots of issues trying to get the CWM installed . It was someone else on this thread that suggested that but I think that info was wrong.
And just to conform for others that may read this someday you do not need Phils recover if you want to get the original system running. if you want to install custom ROMs then you need it then.
Thanks for the input. Half the time its just good to write out your problem so you can understand.

And just to conform for others that may read this someday you do not need Phils recover if you want to get the original system running. if you want to install custom ROMs then you need it then.
Thanks for the input. Half the time its just good to write out your problem so you can understand.

I've read through this entire thread more than 3 times and I never once seen anyone in this thread tell you to run CWM(ClockWorkMod).. or to even use that so where did get that idea from... The only thing I suggested was Philz Touch Recovery as did @Surj138 for a good reason cause it's the only one that's 64 bit for your phone!

I kinda figured all that out on my own already but why do you just want stock? Why don't you want a rooted phone so you can do a lot more with it?

It was from other threads that I read to install Phils recovery I would need install CWM but I think now that is for other phones. I said it was in this thread by mistake.
As for going for the original ROM as opposed to a custom ROM my reasoning is three fold. . . .
1. This phone will not be staying with me. Will be giving it back to my friend who is giving it to his daughter. She is would have no use for a root phone.
2. The last time I was using custom ROM was with my Samsung S2 about 3 years ago. I did like all the extra features, free apps and full customization that you can do with it but I did find that no matter what custom ROM I found there would be little problems with each one. Performance would slowly drop the more i switched around the custom ROMS.
3. Custom ROMs are great and all but we cannot be 100% sure there is not hidden male-ware in some of them that is robbing my data. It was going to be a spare phone for playing games then i would not mind but to give to someone as there main phone is not the best option.
