AC!D Audio provides you an overall better sound quality, more precisely:
● Bass are deeper, crispier and more powerfull, with nice effect without distortion and crackling
● treeble are less aggressive and more immersive (you'll enjoy whistle, whisper, instrument like piano, guitar,... will be much more natural and balanced)
● Voice is really more natural with better balenced EQ for a pure cristal sound for an awesome clarity
● Audio track quality will be enhanced and the improvement will be even noticed on your most crappy headset (even if good headphone are really suggested to enjoy all improvement of this MOD)
This Engine is A port of several Audio Technolgy, each of them are well know to enhance some specific audio part, our goal was to get them working simultaneously with a lot of personnal optimisation modification tweaks and unique features by our Team
Here is a short list of audio technology we prted and modded on this Engine:
● Sony Clearaudio Plus system (an amazing technolgy to enhance clarity of Bass and provide several effect like Clearphase, Clearbass, SRS surround,...)
● Beats Audio Engine (we ported latest beats engine from HTC one XL, and modded it a lot to be great handled by Clearaudio, it improve greatly Bass power and overal surround effect)
● Cyanogen DSP features (it helped a lot to handle better in app Equaliser)
● Dolby Digital Sound (overall better audio clarity with way more natural sound and some awesome features like SRS Wow and Dynamic Bass range)
● Sony Xloud (enhance noticably speaker quality in terms of clarity and volume, it help to ensure there is no distorion in sound even in headset, better balanced treeble and crystal voice)
● Eizo Rewire PRO series (an awesome Audio tool wich brings lots of effect and claim to offer a better balanced and natural Sound)

READ CAREFULLY FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS AND ALL WILL BE FINE!
§1 Remove ALL Third app equaliser (DSP Manager, Market EQ app,...)
§2 Be sure your ROM don't have any other Sound MOD preinstalled
§3 Download AC!D Audio Engine
(You can choose between AROMA and the standard flashable zip, read careffuly the difference between AROMA and SIMPLE)
§4 ONLY if you downloaded SIMPLE ZIP, download walkman player and (if you want) the addon of your choice (Noozxoide for example)
§5 Put downloaded files in a special folder on your SDCARD (or internal storage), you can create an AC!D Audio folder (will be usefull in the future)
§6 Once you have all needed files on your phone reboot in recovery (CWM)
§7 FIRST WIPE CACHE PARTITION AND DALVIK CACHE!!!
§8a AROMA: only after that if you only downloaded AROMA version just flash it and follow instruction, take time to read (really easy installation with good explaination) (don't care about status 0 error showing at the end of installation just reboot)
<<< Do not follow theses steps if you use AROMA go to step 9>>>
§8b SIMPLE UPDATE ZIP: (Walkman is not compatible with any other addon, so you have to choose between Walkman or one of 4 availble Addon)
- AC!D + Walkman: First flash AC!D Audio Engine, Then if you want Walkman (with clearbass, xloud etc) Flash Walkman Addon and reboot
- AC!D + ADDON: First flash AC!D Audio Engine, (DO NOT FLASH WALKMAN!!!), and then flash the Addon of your choice (Noozxoide for example) and reboot

§9 open an explorer (I recommand Root Explorer) and verify if build.prop lines where added (Go to /system/ and open build.prop file look at the end of this file)

Little Tips:
- I REALLY SUGGEST YOU TO USE AC!D AND WALKMAN ONLY (without any other Addon) (in my opinion gives the best audio quality) (but walkman might not work on All devices)
- If you can't change volume level in walkman just click on audio effect it will resolve immediately this issue
- ALWAYS FLASH ON A CLEAN INSTALL!!!
- Once it booted leave your phone 5min to let all effect settle then reboot once again!
- DON'T FLASH ANY ADDON IF YOU FLASHED WALKMAN ADDON (NOT COMPATIBLE)
- (Walkman addon may cause bootloop on some devices cause it takes space in system partition)
- IN CASE OF BOOLTOOP ---->REFLASH YOUR ROM AND THEN TRY UNIVERSAL VERSION<----

First reply! Quick question...would a screen off volume button track skip be considered an incompatible mod? Running Kinda Crap Mods 2.2 which has that feature. Also, the Samsung Optimised zip file...do I flash that and just that on my GS3 or do I run the 5.0 all in one Aroma and then flash the Samsung Optimised on top of that afterward? Thanks a ton for this!!!

i flashed it on galaxy note 2 using aroma
although i don't see the lines in the buildprop but the noozoxide eq works with poweramp
so are the lines a must to show in buildprop
i flashed the one for gs3 on the note 2 without the walkman

wow....its awesome... just installed it. im on siyah rc3. if u guys use this mod + siyah pleasant for ear preset ,.. very awessomeee sound.

flashed this using aroma installer on my verizon galaxy s3 on aokp rom milestone 1 official with ktoonz kernel along with a previous version of ac!d audio mod v2 (custom 1 to work with dspmanager.) Everything seems to be working on this version 5 compared to r3 which cut off my cell signal (messed with baseband) even with a fresh install. The only odd thing is that noozxoide icon isnt there anymore but I can still selected it in music effect under sound setting and also can open it via google play store. any ideas? I also flashed the noozxoide add on as well

I've asked this is the previous post and from what I learned its supposed to be an improvement to the whole system. (which I assume pandora as well)

I have galacy s3 tmobile I have installed on 3 different roms and I just get the same results.... installer stsus zero with no changes.... I used aroma with diffeeent options eachtime but no luck ty

Ok so I flashed and I don't see anything new at the end of my build.prop file. I did not choose the walkman add-on however. I do see the apps in my app drawer however for the mod so do I still need to edit my build.prop? I see in the build.prop there's beats audio stuff. Is beats installed with the mod automatically or was it one of the choices in Aroma? Thanks.

Arright I have flashed a aroma version every thing is just soo expectedd great updateee......only one bug sound enhancment dosnt work in walkman player I tried to change setting of sound to sound enhancement but still doesnt work then I restarted but no use......only that is the bug otherwise every thing is awesommm.......

Hello everyone, I'm proud to present my port of S-Force Front Surround 3D from the Xperia Tablet Z Firmware
S-Force is basically a audio effect only for speaker (Like xLOUD and ClearPhase) and basically, what it does is it "Virtually reproduce 3D sound naturally and realistically. THIS EFFECT IS ONLY FOR INTERNAL SPEAKER LIKE XLOUD AND CLEARPHASE!!!
It should work on all Xperia based firmware roms (NOT AOSP! because you guys don't have walkman)
It should be system wide for speaker like xLOUD and ClearPhase
Please don't ask if it works for a specific rom, try before asking.

That is strange, it ticks for me... also the effect works for me...
EDIT: I forgot to put in the new libraries xD maybe that was what caused the option to not tick...

If I understand correctly, the s-force is not present in those two places?
have you got init.d support? try adding the line in the OP in your build.prop and reboot, it should pop up then

did all the things you said we should do and it does not work at all on my XTX LT29i :crying:

All working ok on my xz, @ZeroInfinity I had an idea with the volume being a tad lower with sforce, if the volume is tweaked a bit using the fusion3 file I reckon full vol could be recovered when sforce is active? I would try it myself but I am still learning how my xz works.

[Mod]Volume Increase Mod for OnePlus One

Volume Increase Mod for the OnePlus One.
This Mod boosts headphone, speaker, and in-call volume.
Values were edited in the mixer_path.xml found in system/etc.
This Mod is for 4.4.4 Aosp roms, PA, Slim, Cm11,etc all seem to share the same xml file.
*Stock CM11s Volume Mods are now available.
Default [All stock values. This is basically a revert zip.]
Default+ [Stock Values for Headphone and Speakers. Increased In-Call Volume Value set to 93]
Med+ [Headphone and Speakers with values set to 88. Increased In-Call Volume Value set to 93]
Loud+ [Headphone and Speakers with values set to 92. Increased In-Call Volume Value set to 93]
Instructions.
1. Download Volume Increase Mod.zip here.(Madhi rom users flash zips provided by zephik down below.)
2. Flash Zip in recovery. Wipe dalvik and cache.
3. Reboot and enjoy!

Madhi Rom seems to have a different mixer_path.xml file. Thanks to zephik.

How to Manually adjust.
1.Using a root Explorer(ROM toolbox, ES, etc.) go to system/etc.
2.Open mixer_path.xml with an built in xml editor.
3.Values you need to adjust are close to the bottom of the file. Description is pretty self explanatory.
4.See image below. The values I have set to "88" can be changed to affect Speaker and headphones. Now edit your values.
5.Save changes, reboot and enjoy!

6.To adjust in-call volume. Go back to mixer_paths.xml. Look for the "ear" path under analog output devices. Edit volume value, save and reboot.
The image below has the value set to "93". Edit this value.

CM11 nightlies got this fix merged last night. So this shouldn't be needed on CM11 with new nightly builds.

This mod only affects the external bottom speakers and headphones. I'm running nightly 7/31 with med increase. They did do something with the XML file to make it more device specific. The only change I see for volume in nightly 8/1 is for voice paths. Still I like my volume slightly increased.

Any chance for a mod that should also increase the Internal Speaker.There is an option for it in franco's kernel but since it still suffers from random reboots i prefer to be in stock kernel.
I believe everyone will also appreciate a mod for louder internal speaker.

On Mahdi rom, volume boost worked on speaker but no sound from headphones. Reverted to stock file and headphones work again!

I can confirm this. I reverted the changes to "headphones" and sound plays on the headphones again.

Is this mod better than Viper4Android?? thanks!

I believe V4a installs a modified equalizer, files and libs improving sound quality. I have it running on Liquid Smooth atm. I still adjust my volume. Just what I prefer. I need my alarm loud enough to wake me up for work. Plus I got a pair of Beats I'd like to use to it's full potential. Also I think the speakers on the One are good but not great. I've heard better but it still gets the job done. So don't think this is some miracle mod to improve your speaker quality..lol. It just boost volume for speakers and headphones.

This mod just adjusts volume, viper4android is a equalizer that changes sound quality. They're two different things. Although Viper can also change the output sound volume as well. I prefer both.

I am happy to present my StereoMOD based on „Dontbelieve MOD” from Xperia Z1. I did tweak Xperia Z’s „snd_soc_msm” file among others in order to achieve real stereo speakers on a mono speaker phone like XZ, ZR and ZL.
Compatibility range 4.3 – 4.4.4; Android L – stock roms, custom stock-based roms, custom based rom and possibly many other roms.
AROMA Installer- noob and user friendly
How does the StereoMOD work?
• Sony did a good job with the earpiece speaker – loud and crisp. Giving the build quality we decided to use it as an additional speaker to achieve stereo.
• When the phone rings, when you get a notification, when you listen to music/radio or even while you are in a call (speakerphone), instead of hearing everything through an awfully small speaker, you’ll have two speakers, one for the Left, the other for the Right channel.
• So, it’s easy. Earpiece speaker works together with the main speaker to achieve real stereo and surround effect on your phone. Just like the Z2 or Z3 but better in many aspects.​
Features:
• Stereo speaker output for:
o Media (music, videos, you name it);
o Notifications and ring-tone;
o In-call stereo speakerphone. ​• Recovery aroma flash which gives you control over what should or should not be installed:
o Option to make a backup of your current settings – and restore;
o Auto Left and Right channels swapping according to device rotation;
o S-Force Surround ported from Xperia Tablet Z (Included with Auto channel swapping, Only for Stock 4.4.4);
o Stereo FM radio;
o Stereo Ringer;
o Stereo in-call speakerphone;
o Custom channel assignment (you can choose which speaker to be assigned to which channel – L-R).
o Headphone boost;
o Custom volume menu (in which you choose how loud each channel should be in order to get the desired volume and the right balance between earpiece and main speaker);

Requirements and Installation
• Requirements:
o Xperia Z, Xperia ZR, Xperia ZL (mod can be adapted for other devices with the snd_soc_file but giving the specific device config you should consult me first);
o Stock, or Stock Base 4.3-4.4.4-5, Dirty Unicorn v7.8(4.4.4), KMA AOSPA 30/07 or possibly all custom roms, you name it.
o Root access;
o Working recovery;
o Now compatible with Android L.​• Installation:
- Customisable
o Download the latest version of StereoMod (Aroma flashable zip);
o Flash it through recovery;
o Follow the Aroma installer steps and make a backup (just to be safe);
o Select your preferred features; channel configuration, channel volumes and proceed to install;
o Reboot.​- Express
o Download the latest version of StereoMod (Express flashable zip);
o Flash it through recovery;
o Reboot.
o If it's not balance properly for your device, use the customizable version instead.​Note: Exception only for Stock Sony 5.0 user, please choose KK as an option in Aroma or use KK Express package below, instead of LL version. For other rom please follow the installation instructions normally.
Manual installation, manual controls and manual uninstall:
• Manual install:
o Unzip the Express package
o Copy snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3 from the package
o Replace this file in to /system/etc/snd_soc_msm folder
o Set permission -rw-r--r--(644).
o And Reboot!​
• Manual Controls:
Open the snd_soc_msm_2x_Fusion3 file that you just replaced and edit with editor. I recommended using 920 Text Editor or DroidEdit on mobile which could run such a big code.
Go to line #2966, you will see that the following code is related to speaker. Scroll down to line #2985 and #2986, you will see these code:
'RX1 Digital Volume':1:73
'RX3 Digital Volume':1:71
RX1 is Earpiece and RX3 is Loudspeaker. Change these blue values will effect the volumes for xLoud off.
If you scroll down alittle bit to line #3010, you'll noticed instantly that it is related to xLoud on. Do the same to Line #3029 and #3030.
'RX1 Digital Volume':1:74
'RX3 Digital Volume':1:72
Change these values will effect volumes for xLoud on. Becareful not to raise RX1 volume too high, it might fry your earpiece. Both of their stock default value is 68. You take full responsible for your own tweak.
• For manual uninstall, just flash StereoMod XZ-Revert.zip in recovery and reboot. OR use the Uninstall or Backup and Restore option in the aroma.​

Works beautifully well in Xperia ZL too :good: you can update the OP
Manually installed V1.2 and rebooted
Had to take the left/right/stereo test video mentioned in the OP to confirm it working
No complaints for volumes :highfive:

Mod sound
Everything is super. But here's earpiece is much quieter playing ((. Possible to get by him podbavit volume ?? But certainly not inflicting damage (not to snore) Efekt minimal (. SONY Z 6603 4.4.2 230(PCT)

I have it installed successfully, drivers and everything, but turning it on and off doesnt have any effect on audio.

which audio portion-do not think it will do anything for earpiece in-call volume if that is what you are looking for (correct me if i am wrong but viperaudio will boost bluetooth/headset, external speaker for say videos, and maybe speakerphone only)

I have ARISE sound system mod with viper installed, all works fine and no reboot issue, it turns on perfectly and I highly recommend this MOD.

I think the phone sounds better without any of these Mods, i've experimented with Viper, ARISE (With and without the Audiophile X Profile) and Dolby Atmos - they all feel overprocessed and un-natural.
Out of the box it's the best sounding phone i've ever heard. I have a Fiio X7 with AM5 AMP module (Audiophile DAP) and this sounds just as good, i'm finding myself just carrying the one device around... for the first time ever!
My settings :-
Sound and Vibration >> Audio Settings
* Mi Sound Enhancer On, Select Mi Piston 1 headphones (I don't have these but the profile sounds most natural on all of my headphones). I ignore the Equaliser in here.
* I then access the Equaliser from the app i'm using, such as directly in Spotify and set the sound profile from there.

I am using ARISE but with totally clean Viper (earphone), No profiles such as Audiophile X and I don't use Atoms, those profiles also sounded over-processed to me.
I use my Mix with my JH Roxanne, I do agree the sound chip in Mix is very good by default, i, however, think ARISE bring this sound to the next level. I don't use Spotify as the sound quality there isn't good enough, if you want to benefit from ARISE, you should be using TIDAL at least or your own HI-FI files.
For bluetooth and external speaker, i 100% think ARISE (Viper) is a must, I adjust the viper setting for my in-car stereo and the difference is huge. It does take some time setting it up if you not familiar with all the VIPER setting, but it's worth it at the end.
*btw for people who has trouble getting either ARISE or just pure Viper to work (turn on), you can use kernel editor to set permissive. I didn't have to do it though on my Mix, but I had to with some of my other device on some custom Rom.

just download the SELinuxModeChanger apk just google it and find it. you can change it with the apk file each time at boot for those that don't want to make edits
