htc one remix? - HTC One Mini 2

Is the HTC mini 2 forums also for the HTC one remix? I can't seem to find the HTC one remix on xda at all. If there's a place for the remix could someone point me in that direction? I'm going to s-off soon and would like to find my new forum. Thanks to anyone that can help me.

The One Remix is a variant of the One mini 2, so yes this forum is also for the One remix. The only caveat here is that not a lot of people own it, so it could impact the development if there a too many differences between them on the Software level.

I don't think sunshine supports our devices yet. So you might want to hold on that.
Here is small guide.
1. Download TWRP recovery from the respective thread and rename it to recovery.img
2. Install Android SDK tools for adb and fastboot, or just search "Minimal ADB and Fastboot" on XDA and install that.
3. Add the recovery image(a .img file) in the folder that contains adb and fastboot.
4. Open Command prompt with administrator permissions and CD to the folder mention in 3
5. Reboot your device into bootloader either by adb("adb reboot-bootloader") or by powering up your phone holding the vol-down button.
6. Select Fastboot if already not selected by highlighting it with the volume keys and pressing the power button
7. Now type the following
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
8. After that is done, reboot you device into recovery to check if the flash was succcesful
9. Download the SuperSU zip package from here.
10. Put it on the root of the internal memory
11. Flash the zip file from the recovery.

The problem with the remix is that it's bootloader isn't unlockable(because verizon). So unless we can bypass that, we cannot root it

I just used sunshine to s-off my remix since they now officially support it. My bootloader now says unlocked and s-off, however I'm not sure if there's a recovery for the remix. How can I get supersu? On my other older phones I would just go in recovery and flash supersu. I tried downloading it from Google play but that doesn't work. It says su binaries can not be installed.
It really sucks to now be s-off and not be able to do anything with it!

I used the other installer tool on the sunshine website and then just downloaded it from the play store and it worked fine.

help a dummy unbrick?
Hi guys - asking for some help to reverse what I think/hope is just a soft-brick.
I can still boot into TWRP but I think I killed all my data, so I never get any further than the HTC load screen.
I can't find ANY rom for the Remix out there, not even a publicly posted stock ROM image. Can anybody use TWRP and make a backup image I could use to at least get booted into, and then let HTC Sync repair my dumbness? (Will HTC Sync repair mess up/ruin my root/S-off status from Sunshine?)
Thanks for ANY help!!

Hey came across this on under the "latest" tab, I don't have the same device as you, so my advice could be way off base. but if you can get into recovery mode then you're fine, just do a data wipe/factory reset in recovery mode. If that doesn't work, flash a new rom. This is assuming you have root and a custom recovery.

How can i flash a new rom? where can i get it? I can not get to recovery mode
I'm afraid you may be out of luck. Unless someone more familiar with your device has better advice. Knowing what I know about android, it appears you've "hard bricked" your phone, and there may not be a possibility of recovery.

Did you unlock the bootloader at the HTCdev website? If so you need to relock it in fastboot (type fastboot oem lock ... I think its that, someone correct me if I'm wrong) and install one of the stock roms from the link a couple of posts up.
DO NOT try to install a stock rom with the bootloader unlocked!!!!!
If you didn't unlock the bootloader, thats where the problem is, install a stock rom and then go to HTCdev.com to unlock the bootloader, once that is done you can then root and install capys rom
Vertigo:
Yep, i reloked phone from
fastboot with command
fastboot oem relock
Then i have installed official ROM (exe)
And thats it.
It was so easy... I have spent about 10-12 hour with my pc and phone to made that solution....
I AM HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Umm, just in case
In such situation you don't need to wipe everything and flash a new rom...
just push original font back to the fonts folder via adb and that's it...

Hi,
Try the following:
1. Download adb tools. (www.filesonic.com/file/1774628264)
2. On your pc click on your local disk C: Drive (or D: drive for some) (WINDOWS users: Start > My computer > Local Disk (C)
3. Create a new folder called "adb" and extract the files from adb.zip into it. Make sure it doesn't create another folder in the adb folder when extracting
4. open command prompt (or terminal for linux) and type "cd" "followed by the path to your adb folder" (windows users can type "cd C:\adb")
5. Don't forget to enable the "usb debugging" when you connect it by the USB.
6. Enter in the command prompt screen the following:
adb devices
adb reboot-bootloader
fastboot getvar cid
7. If your mobile is from Europe, it will give you: HTC__001.
8. You can search the net for other codes and accordingly, download the suitable RUU file. If you are unlucky like me, your mobile will show "HTC__038" .
Good luck.

Nexus one with broken power button stuck in bootloop and no unlocked bootloader

Hello,
I think you are my last chance, I have this very specific problem with my Nexus One and can't find any thread on any forum that can help after hours of research:
It's rooted and I have CM7 but after a choc (I thing it's the cause) it reboots and now it's stuck in bootloop.
It happens to me once and i fixed it by flashing with fastboot.exe (i was very lucky this time) but it doesnt work anymore and i don't know why.
My power button is broken so I can't unlock bootloader, I have S-ON and I have read that it can be a problem to use fastboot to flash (I have an error message in the command prompt like this: FAILED: remote not allowed)
If i write "fastboot devices" my Nexus one is recognized so I don't understand why it doesnt work...
If you have any suggestions I take it with pleasure!
(sorry if my english is not perfect)
Thanks.

My problem started when I install Darktemor(If I spelled it right) A2SDGUI and press something for Dalvik and Cache, my phone reboots and got stuck at bootloop forever. I searched the entire net for tutorials, and I tried almost everything and still no luck.
I always have this error code at Fastboot:
"FAILED <remote: not allowed>"
PLEASE! Someone help me, I want to fix this on my own. 'Cause it'll cost me a lot if I have someone fix it for me. Please, i'm begging. Help me. Huhuhu

I'm still interested, what method of the link do you use? PASSIMG method?
So i'm stuck in this step: 3.Transfer the provided PASSIMG.ZIP file to the root of your SD card.
How do you go to the root of the sd card if the phone is in bootloop?
Thanks!

By putting the µSD in another (working) phone and connect it to the computer, or by using a µSD adapter which also must be connected to the computer.

[MOD] JB 4.3+ | TF701T | Flashable Root Method v2 | Asus Stock 10.26.1.7/18

Need Root on your unlocked TF701T on JB4.3? Here you go!
This file when flashed in CWM will install the files necessary to root any Asus Stock Firmware 10.26.1.7+
Make sure you have prepared by copying the zip file to your internal SD card first.
Please Unlock using the Asus Unlock Tool first found here.
Note installing and running this app will wipe your device and void your warranty.
You can flash CWM 6.0.4.6 using the instructions here.
Website seems to be down but file is here.
To flash a recovery you need to have the fastboot.exe file and cwm recovery.img file in the same folder.
Right click + shift on the folder they are in and choose open command prompt here
Boot into the Bootloader by either booting with the Power and Volume Down Buttons held down until you get the 3 icons or by typing the following into the command prompt.
Code:
adb reboot bootloader
Then type the following commands to flash the recovery image:
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Start the recovery by making sure the RCK icon is highlighted (use volume down to move) and push volume up to select.
If you need to move to the latest bootloader then manually install the WW_10_26_1_18_SDupdate file from the Asus website
In recovery choose install zip - install zip from /sdcard and maneuver to the folder you put the root zip (vol up and down) and select it using power button. Finally reboot when finished.
Say no if CWM prompts you to overwrite the recovery script - important - it won't work other wise.

Well if you are unlocking the device then it will reset, but if you are already unlocked then no it won't reset. It flashes Superuser.apk, su binary and an enable-root.sh shell script to run the su daemon on boot

I suspect that -- in spite of what Asus and many on this board have said -- the majority of units have not been defective, including those that were made both before and after the 2013.11 batch that was supposed to be "fixed." In other words, there were good units made before the "fix", and some defective units that were made after. There was probably some change made that _lowered_ the defect rate, but that is irrelevant if you happened to get a good unit.
Well, I shouldn't say irrelevant, because all those defective units have harmed Asus' reputation and probably killed off a lot of developer enthusiasm for the TF701, thus hurting even those of us with non-defective units...

It depends on the recovery, but it works in TWRP.
It is the ROM that is rooted, so if you sideload a non-rooted ROM and flash it, you will lose root. It seems you don't have a working ROM, so you don't "have" root.

Haha. I'm afraid to root because they say that it'll broke OTA updates
So don't root your phone
Yeah but they said too that you can update manually even though your phone is rooted but i don't know how to update manually. Can you teach me?
People have tried many apps in the past, and reported that they do not work
Can you post a screenshot showing it?
