Yes

And when in that mode, call audio quality is exceptional.

Not fully. They rolling it out little by little. Tweaking here and there
NOTE 4

Maybe it's just me, but everytime I place or receive a call, I'm knocked down to HSPA. This wasn't so with my Note 3 on T-Mobile. Any explanation?

Im in s.california and do get the HD voice. I was shocked when I first heard it. Super clear.

BAD ASS NOTE 4

did they do away with the HD Icon when making a Volte call? The note 3 had a HD call to let you know you were making a volte call now i dont see it with note 4

I live in NYC. I've always had Volte up until this point. I wonder if my settings play a role. I do have Volte active in the phone settings.

I'm in the same boat always had it before as well not sure what changed with note 4

I've also noticed the icon is no longer showing up since I went to Note 4. Volte is in call settings and checked. I just assumed they went with one less icon to clutter status bar?

You also have to remember that TMOBILE had major issues this weekend at a major hub that handles for the most part the north east. Many issues are still getting fixed. But mine still works OK. Stock APN.

[Q] Has anyone manage to connect to metro pcs gsm?

I figured I would try asking. I get edge data and calls are working. No 4G though and I havent tried MMS yet. I called metro's tech support for their apn settings and they don't seem to work.
If you have your ATT Note 3 working on Metro's gsm service, please share your settings/experience here. Any ideas on how to get this working would also be great. Thanks in advance! :good:
I bought two Note 3s and gave one to my friend who's on metro. Everything works perfect for him, 4g, MMS and everything else.
He Input his APN settings so I'm not sure if he did anything else. When I get off work in the morning I'll ask him if he did anything specific besides the APN settings and let you know.

This may be a dumb question but did you switch your network mode to LTE/WCDMA/GSM option?

Yeah, I have tried LTE/GSM auto; LTE/GSM/CDMA auto; and a few different other ones. I always only end up with edge.
I have a question for you, did you buy the phone and stick your sim card in, or did you actually go to the Metro store and have them program the sim for the phone? Metro's sim cards work different than most gsm carrier sim cards =/

I went to an actual metro pcs store and bought the sim. The employee scanned the bar code on the back of my phone, so I'm guessing they programmed it specifically for my phone.
Ok so called my friend today. He told me that he didn't input the APN settings, they loaded automatically. It did make an APN profile for him. He sent me the following screenshots.

I also noticed that too! Yes he does normally have 4g/lte. His home is one of the ones where you take one step to the left and you have edge. Happens to me too and I'm on At&t lol. Let me know if you have any luck with it.
How are you suppose to know what the password is and the server as they are just **** in the screen shot?

No go on the apn settings. I am planning on driving out to LA sometime later this week and will check out whether this lack of LTE is only in my area. Sucks coming from metro's great cdma service.
Also quickvic has a good point about the password, although I'm thinking tyiphius friend's apn settings were installed automatically
Anyone know where I can buy a N900A note 3 that will work on Metro LTE?

Like I mentioned earlier, when you power off the device the blue led blinks slowly until the device shuts down. Mine remained on, perhaps just a glitch.

Its only done it once as far as I can tell. Then again I don't really turn my phone off that much.
Also T Mobile charges non Jump customers 20 dollars each time they send out replacement. It can soon add up.
Remember back in my note 3 days.on the 13th day of ownership my screen went green thread? Well that never happened again. We shall see. I got one year warranty.

[Q] N910F - LTE Enabled on T-Mobile via CM12

Hello everyone,
For the longest time I was not able to get LTE connection on my Note 4 international variant (N910F). I called T-Mobile about it, since I knew the phone had the capabilities to connect, and T-Mobile told me that I should have bought their phone if I wanted LTE, and that they could not help me.
Giving up all hope on LTE connection, I started installing roms to see what cool features where out there. I installed several different roms, and still I had no LTE (not that I was thinking of getting it). Then I installed CM12 and LTE appears! I check the speeds and indeed I was connected to LTE on T-Mobile line. Everything was great until I found out CM12 has three great bugs that I cannot live with: 1) No apps to SD possibility and 2) Access to the camera, from any app, crashes. I have to reopen the app a second time for the camera to function (Messenger has no access at all) and 3) Various app crashes.
So I returned to stock rom, but I miss the features of a custom rom (especially ViPER) and LTE. I tried other roms but I can't find any with LTE working.
Do you know what part of CM12 enables LTE? And if I can flash it into another more stable custom rom?
Thanks
With stock formware on N910F, the LTE icon is displayed as 4G. Try checking your connection again by going to Settings>About Device> Status... then under Mobile Network type.. you can see if you are actually connected to LTE.. There is also an app called Network Signal Info on play store. Good luck

Yup....
On international phones, LTE signal is represented by 4G icon. So if you see 4G on your phone, it's actually LTE. You were already getting LTE in the first place. You did not have to flash roms and void warranty.

Sprint Calling Plus?

So is it just me or does the Sprint Note 9 not offer calling plus? Which SUPER sucks considering th S9/S9+ offered it right out the box
*EDIT* I found a way to activate it!!!!!!!!!!!
1 - Download Shortcut Master (LITE)
2 - Open it and click "Search" under the menu and searched for enhancedlte
3 - Clock the option that pops up *should say "Mobile Networks com.samsung.blahblahblah.EnhancedLteServices)
4 - Check the box for "Enhanced LTE Services"
5 - Search for LTEFunctionality
6 - Click on the top option
7 - Scroll down to VoLTE Test UI and click it
8 - Turn on N/W PS voice support and N/W PS E911 support
That's it. No root needed. Actually found this method for the international Note 8 but it works for the note 9 too. The original post is here:
https://community.sprint.com/t5/Sam...om-samsung-work-on-sprint/td-p/975749/page/14
I'd be interested to see how many people can stand to use that feature for more than a couple of days. In my experience, it makes every call hard to hear, fading in and out, and then multiple calls are missed per day.
OP, u got the unlocked USA version?

Calling plus? Call quality is fine to me. And long as its sprint to sprint you get HD calling. I never miss calls with calling plus either. Now, Google voice on the other hand i miss calls all the time. No call, no notification until i open the app but i love calling plus

Probably best ask this question on the Watch 3 forum:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/smartwatch/samsung-galaxy-watch-3
.
im on tmo and use the LTE frontier. i also have the lte watch 3 coming but thats on 9/09.
i did answer you over at the watch forum, but seems the imei is not yet in the system since the watch is not officially released. maybe wait until friday or monday to give it time?
also you may have to "Reset mobile networks" once you get them to provision the watch on the network. I had to do this when i changed the number on my watch a few months ago.

I don't have the watch 3 yet, but with my GAW2, all I did was go to the Galaxy Wear app ->Mobile Networks and took it from there, then once that was done, had Sprint (then it was just sprint) set up the line for it, a separate line. You have to have VoLTE active in your area though. I have set up three watches: OG GW, GAW2, and Apple Watch 5, pretty seemlessly. YMMV.

Idk. I only callled sprint when there was no VoLTE to find out why couldn't use as standalone, Once VoLTE was released, I have not had to call them. If this is our first watch setup, you may have to call to initially set it up.

I bought mine from Samsung.com as well. I called T-Mobile to have it activated and added to my plan. They set the new watch up under the DIGITS plan and for some reason it was not properly setup correctly as I had to call back and speak to someone on the DIGITS team to get the LTE features of the watch to work.
