What is Android One?
The first news of this year's Google I/O is a new initiative that the company calls Android One. The smartphone program strives to provide a unified feature set tailored-made for the market the phone is launching in.The first smartphone to be part of the Android One comes from Micromax, one of the most popular smartphone brands in India. Its Android One smartphone packs features that are most important for users there. Those are FM Radio, Dual SIM support, microSD card and a low price.The Micromax smartphone from Android One will cost under $100 - cheaper than the Motorola Moto E. The new smartphone also packs a 4.5" display, but Sundar Pichai didn't specify neither its resolution, nor further specifications.
The Android One program guarantees that the phones that come out of it will run on the most recent Android release, as Google will push updates to those phones similar to the way it handles GPE devices.

How to Unlock Bootloader?
Warning-Unlocking bootloader will lead to formating of your phone. The stuff inside your sd card is safe but all your apps and their data will be deleted.
Unlocking bootloader:
1. Download Universal ADB Driver installer from here.
2. Connect your phone and run the Universal ADB Driver installer. Click 'Install' button and a warning should pop up. Just click "Install anyway" and it should look like this:
3. Download ADT Bundle from here for Win-32 Bit and from here for 64-Bit . If you are unsure which version of windows you have just download the 32-Bit one.
4. Extract the zip file in your C:\ drive like this (You can install it wherever you like but this tutorials assumes this location for simplicity). Add adb and fastboot to system path by following this tutorial . This will allow you to run adb and fastboot commands from any location on cmdline.
3. Switch off your phone. Now, Press POWER BUTTON VOLUME UP button for about 5 seconds. A menu should appear. Note: VOLUME UP allows to navigate the menu (move down the menu). Press VOLUME DOWN button for selecting/choosing fastboot. On your phone, it should say something like

Connect your phone to the computer if it wasn't already.
4. Open CMD
5. On command prompt, Type:

6. Now, Type the following commands:

fastboot format userdata
fastboot reboot
Now, your bootloader is unlocked.
7.To Relock the bootloader

Google has not yet released the L source.As soon as the sources are up,they will start their update process.The only thing you can do now is WAIT

And one more thing after rootin and unlocking bootloader , i used fee root apps like xmod , rootexplorer , etc and theres this grey spot popping up on the screen , it does nothing , jst keeps popping up , anyone else experienced this or know what it is ?

if u had flashed using my tool , it automatically boots to recovery ..
if u r on locked bootloader , recovery stays just one time ..
if unlocked , switch of mobile , press both lock button and vol up button at same time until u see a screen with options ,... from there select recovery

How can i install this ota via stock recovery? [for those who on full stock, no root]
Just download appropriate OTA zip according your device, goto stock recovery, choose install update from SD card, choose zip, wait until it finish.....
After installation hit reboot system now.
How can i boot into stock recovery?
Follow below steps to boot into stock recovery : - Switch off your phone - Press Power button Volume Up simultaneously - Select Recovery mode [VOLUME_UP to select.VOLUME_DOWN is OK] - Wait for Device logo and then a Dead Android with Test "No Command" - Now hold Power then tap Volume up (in that order only) and leave it. - Congratulation! You are now in the stock recovery Code: Installation Instructions : - Download the appropriate OTA for your device - Place the OTA zip to your sdcard - Reboot to stock/custom recovery - Make a backup (just in case) - Perform a Factory reset.. Wipe data, dalvik, cache and system (recommended) - Locate the file and install - Reboot... It may take about 10-15 minutes so be patient Code: Follow below steps to boot into stock recovery : - Switch off your phone - Press Power button Volume Up simultaneously - Select Recovery mode [VOLUME_UP to select.VOLUME_DOWN is OK] - Wait for Device logo and then a Dead Android with Test "No Command" - Now hold Power then tap Volume up (in that order only) and leave it. - Congratulation! Next, download appropriate OTA zip, reboot recovery > Choose advanced >choose ota installer > choose install zip> locate downloaded ota Zip >swipe to confirm flash >wait, let it install Voila! After successful installation hit reboot!
I had modified my system, such as build.prop and other sound mods, will it affect / broke ota installation?
Yep. It'll will broke the installation process, since you've modified the build prop and system, it'll surely give you error, so I'm requesting you to please roll back to stock build prop from here https://goo.gl/0b782s [PICK MOB30N buildprop] and Uninstall if you've any sound mods installed, then attempt the installation, it's gonna update successfully!
Note=This method works with systemless as well as system mode root, you can flash this ota over custom kernel too.
I've xposed and Layers theme installed, how can I successfully install this OTA?
FYI, just Uninstall xposed framework & layers theme, then apply OTA, it's gonna install successfully!
How can i re-root my devices, after installation of ota zip?
Yes, just reboot after installation of Official ota, after a successful boot, again boot back into that twrp recovery, simply flash custom boot image [custom kernel] followed by Super su 2.50 zip, wipe dalvik/Art [IF YOU wish] reboot. Done!

Yep, those links / zips are full stock Roms, if you're running on any build or running on any custom rom & wanna revert back to full stock with July security patch, then just download those zips, reboot recovery, perform a full wipe [Twrp> wipe > advanced > wipe everything except Micro_SD]
Then install that full stock rom zip, hit reboot key after installation!

It has restarted numerous times but to no avail. I'm using an android one device. Current build no.:MOB30G.Model :Spice Dream Uno I'm stuck at 1st may security update. Even tried formatting the phone and installing the update but it just fails to install it. Please help me resolve it.

What's the error?
Well, most of the Android one users are in the same issue, tried many methods for updating, but none of them worked, the last chance is, just root your device and update it via TWRP that's it.

Yeah man.
Anyhow, rooting isn't a milestone with a1, just using a toolkit we can do root/recovery /unlock everything, but new comers may mess up things. like you
Im not new in rooting i hv rooted phones earlier too..first tym it happend with me while rooting.. but m happy i made my phone alive by myself and its working fine now just waiting for July ota..:?

The main target of this ROM is people with "unlocked bootloader problems". It's because it works with stock kernel and locked bootloader.
It shows only 1 sim and no sim setting. That's a bit problem for me cause' I use 2 sims

Yes, I can't fix it because lack of dual sim support for Android versions before 5.1

Hi.
You can use this modded version of Device Name Fix.
IMPORTANT: Install SuperSU! You need a rooted device! AOSP is NOT pre-rooted!
Download Device Name Fix (there's a Download ZIP button if you need)
Extract/copy the file dnfix.sh to /system/bin/
Update permissions of dnfix.sh to 0755
Open a Terminal Emulator and run the following commands:

Why do you want updates for this ROM? It's good enough, there's no reason to update it.
And 5.1/6.0 will not be able to use on Locked Bootloader.

I'm from Vietnam & I've just bought new one model : ZB602KL / Rom 4GB Ram 64GB / ASUS_X00TD
I unlock bootloader succesfully
But when installing recovery, I've tried to flash image of TWRP or RWRP but it failed.
I can not enter Recovery mode like TWRP or RWRP, it's alway original recovery, nothing replacement.
(my phone connected PC & worked well)
Can you help me to solve it? Thank in advance.

After flashing recovery using fastboot commands, reboot directly to recovery first (using hard key combo to be safe, fastboot command doesn't work properly sometimes), after that you can boot into system. If you boot directly to system from fastboot the custom recovery you just installed will be overwritten by stock recovery. Once you boot to twrp from fastboot directly, twrp is able to prevent this overwrite.

Not that this is directly related, sorry for that, but Darkonah + different (mi) cable combination has given me the best charging rate out of all combinations i've tried so far.

This is specially designed for Nokia 7 Plus . With the help of this tool we can flash any stock home brew Roms and the links will be attached below .
How to use this?
Note - Make sure your phone bootloader is unlocked
1. Download Nokia-SDM660-Tool.zip & Copy Nokia-Tool.exe
2. Download latest HOME BREW Stock Rom And extract in one Folder and name it as STOCK ROM
3. Now add Nokia-Tool.exe in to that respective STOCK ROM Folder
4. Now connect phone to pc
5. Go to download mode
6. Now Open Nokia-Tool.exe
7. Now select Button according to your Phone code
8. Example Iam Using Nokia 6.1 Plus & My phone code DRG & so i will choose [ DRG B2N CTL PL2 ] same option for 6.1 , 7.1 & 7+ but for 7.2 & 6.2 users choose [DDV SLD]
9. i will click on [ DRG B2N CTL PL2} According to my phone as i explained in point no.8
10. wait for 10 min Tool will flash the rom & your phone reboots to system.
11. So finally this is what the exact standard method to flash stock rom on Your devices

A. obviously you will receive updates as like before
Q2. Can we try this on Locked Bootloader?
A. No
Q3. Can we use this without Adb Tools?
A. No

A. Yes works On Oreo , pie & Q but keep this point in your mind update your platform tools time to time due to For Q & Pie & Oreo all these 3 having different different platform tools so if you face any erros don't get scared just download latest adb platform tools

So after updating to stock rom, will the bootloader stay unlocked ?
why is it booting on Android Oreo, even after flashing Android 10 Stock ROM ?

Also, it doesn't detect any wifi at the setup page !
All the .imgs get flashed, except this one:
fastboot: error: cannot load 'B2N-410C-0-00WW-B03-cda.img': No such file or directory
This might be useful information to you. When starting up after this, the phone does boot, but Google Apps keep crashing
for me, all the .img files are failing !!!!
All I get is
"'fastboot' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file."
And yes of course the phone is in Fastboot/Download mode.
EDIT: Got it working by copying everything in that STOCK ROM folder into adb. Instructions unclear.

Yes. Bootloader will stay unlocked no matter how many ROMs you flash. Talking from experience ?

Thanks a lot for sharing your experience! I lost all backups of stock ROM by accident so it would be very handy if I could get back to it someday without locking the bootloader again ahahhaha
Would it fine if you could update the ROMs to the latest patches if that's possible? I don't want to spend an hour updating my phone each time I come back from trying a different ROM XD
(I use a Nokia 7 Plus btw)

You also need to put Minimal ADB and Fastboot files in that folder.
when i try to flash the stock rom using nokia tool it gets stuck at "erase ssd" then the nokia tool shows not responding . is there any solution to this?

how did you do it? because mine gets stuck and the tool doesn't respond. can you give me the instructions ?
if i can make software update (OTA)? after instalation stock system by pc my phone tell me that i must update system before configuration.

Same! More documentation for this tool is needed.
I would like to flash stock rom because of lack command NFC in custom roms. Can I flash stock rom without wipe and format data of custom rom?
