Otterbox defender problems. - One (M8) Accessories

I bought this case when I got my HTC One M8 in April of this year, today I went to the Verizon store and got my third case!
When the original was about 5 months old, the rubber (?) outer case turned to mush, got soft, spongy and got larger so it didn't fit well, no idea what caused it or if anyone else has ever had that problem. The VZW store near me gave me a new case under the Otterbox warranty and then....
I use the M8 as a bed side clock by connecting the charger and using the kick stand on the Otterbox. This morning, when I removed the phone from the holster the locking tab broke off, the VZW guy said this is very common.
Is it me? Anyone else having these problems?
I think I'll look for a new case if this one has more problems, any recommendations? I really LIKE the Otterbox but I can't afford to buy 3 or 4 of them a year after the warranty expires...

I have three of them, one each for my old Skyrockets, and one for my M8. The oldest one did break down in the way you describe, but only after nearly a year and a half. All of the locking tabs are broken, and the rubber is starting to degrade, though it is still holding the case together. The others are still holding together fairly well, but they also aren't as old yet. I was fairly hard on my phone, though, so I would give the case props for leaving it unharmed.
However, my wife's el-cheapo case was literally falling apart, so I still think I got a decent deal. I haven't had any problems so far with the M8 Otterbox, though it does feel "cheaper" than the cases for the Skyrockets somehow.

Thanks for the reply, I guess the thing to do is to wait and see how this current one holds up, the warranty is good for almost 6 more months and by then the M8 will be hopelessly obsolete and I'll probably be looking for a new phone!

I have the mighty Defender as well, and to prevent rubber outer from getting soft, spungy and at the end useless I'm conserving it with WURTH Gumi Fix. It is fluid especially made for that ( rubber parts ). It is enough to use it once every few months ( in that case ) to enjoy Your case for a long time.

I used Defenders for everything (iPhone through the 4G and then a Galaxy Note and Note 2) and never had an issue until I got my M7. I went through three M7 cases with the tabs breaking on all of them. Otterbox was very good about replacing them but I ended up just selling the 3rd replacement case (4th case overall) on Ebay and I switched to a Seidio Convert Case that I loved. When I got my M8 I bought the Seidio Convert case for it as well because I liked the M7 version so well. On a whim though I bought a Defender for my M8 recently and three days later I had a broken retention tab. Otterbox again was wonderful replacing the case which I promptly sold on Ebay to recoup my purchase cost and put the Seidio Convert right back on and haven't looked back.
I appreciate Otterbox taking care of what is obviously a design defect in the HTC One line of cases but I wish they'd fix the design rather than replacing cases ad nauseum. I don't have time to hassle with that. If they change the design then perhaps I'll give Otterbox another shot because of the good customer service experience.
However, for now, I'm extremely happy with the versatility and quality of the Converts and that is the case I'd recommend.

Thanks, your information is much appreciated!
When/if the current Otterbox dies that's probably the way I'll go.

Do not buy the seidio innocase II

After reading such great reviews of this case I ordered it. I've been using it about a month and it's great. The rubber feel is nice, the case is durable and protects the phone well, very thin so it doesn't make your phone too bulky.
BUT
The damn rubber coating is flaking off all over this damn thing!!
I take pretty good care of my phones, there is no reason for this. It lives in my front shirt pocket by itself or placed on a flat surface.
Slowly the rubber coating is deteriorating and I'm left with a cheap plasticy case. I contacted seidio about this and received a "copy-and-paste" computer response to send in proof of purchase, pictures etc. It honestly isn't worth my time and am really upset on the garbage quality of the case. I'm going to pickup the silicone verizon case next...
I recently bought this case too, but I haven't experienced any of the problems you're describing yet. I don't notice any peeling on mine whatsoever, but then again I've only had the case for a few weeks. Has anyone else encountered this problem?
Haven't had that happen to me. Had mine for about a month now.
I probably got a bad batch then, but if you notice it happening update your posts in here.
Had two of these (black and purple) for my wife and me, not had this issue on either and bought them in early July.
I have the same case, I've seen a few spots where it's flaking off or rubbed through. I will have no qualms about making them send me a new one when it starts to really look bad. I know some people that have already gotten 3 or 4 replacements. They are a good company, let them fix it for you - even if they have to fix it over and over again.
Rather than coming in here and claiming the case should not be bought by anyone, stop the drama and send them what they want so you can get a brand new one. Why would you spend that kind of money and then blow it off because you're too lazy to send them a few things??

It's good to know that they will cover it if this ever happens to my case, thanks for the info.
does this case push up the screen protector? i recently purchased a case from ebay and thats the problem im having. im having a hard time finding a case that will protect my phone without pushing up the sides of the screen protector
Same is happening on mine and I've had it for about 2 months. In the bottom left corner, the soft rubber is coming off significantly. My first Innocase was too loose so this is my second one. After they cancelled the car dock I don't see myself using it for much longer.

Unforturnatley it does push up on my ghost armor screen protector. The screen protector itself is slighty a little to small . But it is just enough for the case to catch the edge of it and push on it. If the screen protector was an exact fit it might not do it. But all of the protectors that I have tried are never an exact fit.
I don't have this case, but was seriously considering buying it. On amazon there's a review of a guy who said it scratched his phone all up (inside the case). According to him it's happening to everyone - "just check the forums" he says. When I saw the title of the thread I expected it to be about that, but it's something totally different. Soooo... what's a good case for this thing?
It's true.
I have this case and all around the front housing (the black edge) are scratches.
Mainly they are at the top part of the case and I don't even understand what caused them.
Though I still use the case.
i am experiencing this flaking too. it's looking like ass.
No issues with mine. Had it for 6 weeks or so. If it starts flaking, I'll buy a new case. Not like it cost me 50 bucks or something.

Not trying to get you all fired up or anything, but a good company doesn't only mean they have good replacement warranties. In my mind at least it means they make a good product too. I would definitely not be happy with any company if i had to replace their product every few months and get another one. Building a brand name starts with a good product and good customer service together.
I'm not a big fan of cases and sleeves because in most cases you can "see" and "feel" the phone; i have the zagg shield on mine and i have been absolutely happy with it.
I don't think I've had any of mine long enough to have the rubber flake off. Mine have all fit like ass, especially at the top left corner. I'm on my third case since June. The bezel of my phone is all scratched up due to the poor fit allowing the case to rub dirt/dust/debris into the phone. Seidio has been very prompt in replacing the cases... The first 2 times. Now they've apparently realized they're losing their asses on shipping (the same poor quality) replacement product and are expecting me to advance ship the case at my expense before they'll replace it. They're also refusing to replace it with a different Seidio product that, I've heard, doesn't have the same issues.
In short, I agree with the OP. Don't buy the case.

Full body. Be aware though that the curved edges and sides are not covered. So in other words if you drop your phone a lot this might not be the solution for you. It's also really easy to install the zagg shield on your own but if you prefer them to do it then its $10 extra. Cheers!
This is not to attempt to discredit the OP; I've had my case for 2+ months and it still looks great and functions well. There is some contact rubbing on the corners but then again i take the damn thing in and out of the holster 100 times a day and have dropped it a few times as well on brick.
Hey guys,
This is something I see alot of with iPhone cases at the Apple Store. The most popular cases, similar to how Droid seems to favor Siedio, is the Incase Slider Cases. These are generally plastic cases, with a matte-finish paint on them (my friend has the Innocase, and it's the same material). That paint is known to, over time, deteriorate.
For every customer that comes in with it flaking away after 2 weeks, I have one that comes in a whole year later with just a tiny flake. It depends on the batch, sometimes, and from what i've been able to see exposure to heat, sweat, and sun. The more it's exposed to those elements, the more it flakes away, I believe.
Also, if you're having problems with a case pushing up your film screen, you might not have it properly aligned. With the same aforementioned slider cases and the anti-glare film screens, if you're screen is even slightly off center to the right by a smidgeon, the case is super tight and pushes it up/causes those nasty bubbles.
So, you might want to try re-appling it and making sure it's perfect center.
Hope this is some helpful information.

Seems like there will be a Otterbox Defender for bionic

I will throw this out there for anyone interested in a otterbox defender, I ordered a defender case for my photon and it mistakenly came in a Droid bionic defender box. More than likely Bionic is getting a defender.
Sent from my MB855 using Tapatalk
There will indeed be one. I work @ a VZW corporate store, and we got a Defender series for launch.
It's actually rather interesting. It's the first Defender that I can recall with a smooth silicon outer covering, as opposed to the textured feel on the X, X2 & iPhone 4.
It's nice, but seems like it might be a little harder to grip in/out of pockets...I guess time will tell
Will there be any blue colored cases available at launch? Or am I stuck with hitting up eBay and the like for one?
It would be nice if they would make one for the extended life batteries. I haven't seen one yet that they have.
I picked one up at VZW for 37 and some change last night. Amazon does not have them yet but otterbox even has them on there site for 49.99. But your best bet would be to go to the VZW store and see what kind of deal they can work out. I think i got like 35% off the 49.99.
Hopefully it's better than the defender for the Atrix. Not impressed with it at all! The silicone cover is really loose, which causes it to snag on things and try to pull off. I emailed them about it and got a replacement, but it's just as loose. I have a Ballistic HC case in the mail right now. Hopefully it's better than the otterbox.
Otterbox had a Defender and a Commuter available at launch. Only the Defender was available from Verizon yesterday. I'd love to get a commuter, but I don't want to have to pop the cover every night to dock the phone.
Confirmed.
See if you can get a deal if you get one in-store, a lot of places will give you a % off.
I have it and I HATE it...added TONS of bulk to the phone and can't use with the extended battery

Otterbox hates extended batteries.
And why is the commuter series never with a holster? That's the one I want cause it's thinner and the plastic makes it easier to slip in/out of the pocket but I need a holster for work. Sigh.....
Did you folks who got a discount buy it with your phone? I went to three stores trying to buy the case only, and no one would offer a discount unless I bought a phone, too.
I bought mine from the store and did not buy a phone.
For those complaining about the bulk and size of the defender are missing the point. The case is to the the best protection money can buy. I feel it is.
My 1 tiny, small problem with the defender is the charging port opens to the wrong side. Hdmi (used less) is easy to plug in while mini usb (used much more) is more difficult to plug in.

See, I like more bulk/weight to my phone... Are you happy with it? Is the holster easy to use? Also, my friend had one for the Atrix, and he said it slid up and down because it wasn't a tight fit. Any truth to this? Thanks
i honestly don't use the holster, but clicking it in and out just testing it, there's zero play.
i love the case and would recommend it to anyone.
Gotcha. Glad to hear if I'm going to be dropping $49.99 on a case for my phone...
I purchased the Defender Series on day one at my local VZW store but after having it for almost a week I can easily say it is way too bukly for my liking. The rubber outsole is also a major pain for me for two main reasons. The first is that it likes to stick to my pockets making it hard to take out or put back in, and second all the fuzzies and lint in my pocket stick to it. Also never used the holster.
I ordered the Commuter Series and hopefully it will be here by the end of the week so that I can return my Defender case.
Just picked up my Bionic and Defender case from Best buy about an hour ago.
I went in there yesterday looking at it since its $249 and no tax here. They didnt have anything in stock as far as accessories went. I told them I would think about it since Costco had a pretty good deal on it as well. Well I decided i liked the sound of the Buy Back Program they offered so I went for it. They were trying everything yesterday to make up for such a great deal at Costco.
I went back in today and low and behold they just unboxed 3 Defender cases. I told them I wanted to keep the price under $300 for everything so the assistant manager came out and told me he would do the Phone for $200 and then sell me the black tie with buy back and also the defender for $289. I couldnt pass up paying $289 out the door for this setup so I took it. I am more than happy with my purchase today.
I ended up getting my case at VZW store with a nice little discount from a friend. Its a perfect fit with the belt clip no play at all. Solid feel similar to the xoom case. Although its bulkier than most cases you know your phone will survive almost anything.

What do you mean "play"?
Also, to the person complaining about the outter case attracting lint, that's why you keep it in the holster and one of the reasons I'm moving towards it. The lint is already creeping in my phone so I want to keep it out.

Are cases really necessary for the Note 2? Share your experience

Hi all
I just ordered a Note 2 and, by all the comments on cases around here, I wonder if I should hurry to also get a case.
But the point is: is it really necessary?
- A case makes this big phone even bulkier.
- A case can compromise ports access, external audio quality and the gps/nfc/... receptions
- A good case can cost a lot of money
- I won't find a case around the corner (at least, here in Brazil). I must buy it online, maybe pay for shipping and wait for like a month for it to come to me.
Hey, I don't want to be critical to the ones who feel important to use a case. Just want to start some discussion here
My point of view:
I'm retiring an old Motorola Defy. It has never used any kind of case or screen protector and its condition is quite good. It is always in my pocket (a lot of times sharing the space with a bunch of keys) and it has fallen to the ground some times, from like the pocket height for instance.
I know the Note 2 is a different phone, so thats the point of the question. I've never had another Samsung phone, so I may not have the right idea about the durability of it.
So, I'm looking forward to your thoughts and experiences on using (or not using) protective cases for the Note 2.
I would prefer not to have one, but I would mostly get one if this really happens that Samsung did a fragile phone and it is important to get external protection.
100% need a case. I got my note 2 weeks ago and bought a genuine Samsung case which is skim anyway. Protects the screen and back from scratches. Plus no case makes it slippery and one drop will mean destroyed phone. Good luck mate!

Hi Brayden87, thanks for the reply.
I've seen the samsung case on the Note 1. It really is slim.
It actually is so slim I wonder it really does protect the phone. Would you say it can make the difference upon a drop?
This is one I would like to get... probably easier to find too.
For the love of god get a case. I have a cover for that it a back plate with a leather flap that goes over the screen, and a screen protector. My wife has a full case for hers.
I dropped my. Screen smashed. She drops hers a few times not one scratch.
After I get a DIY new screen off amazon. Im buying am otter box. (Rogers send broken screens to samsung and costs $280. Or a DIY is only $16)

Hi plugsmustard.
Very interesting experience. It seems that this phone is really more fragile than my Defy. I don't doubt that, it is so much larger and thinner, it looks like it may brake easily. Its just that Samsung should be salling a phone that is fairly resistant to the day-to-day misshapenings...
But these otterbox are very expensive and would have to find a retailer that ships to Brazil. Can I trust Ebay sellers?
Isn't it too bulky?
What are the least requirements for a good protective case?
Note 2 size is big so I do not want case for it. Only a carbon back cover for better handling and protect camera. When bezel is scratched, I replace it for 5$. Perfect way for me .

You can purchase knock-off Otterbox cases from eBay, as well as others such as the Griffin Survivor case (fake, but still provides great protection) Casemate Tough and the Urban Armor Gear Note 2 case, etc.
Above-mentioned cases have been thoroughly reviewed by the one and only Vectron, and are viewable here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192333
I got the body glove tpu... slim and sexy. Dropped my phone about 4ft high and didn't get any damage. Of course could be just luck. Phone is big and slick without a case. I would get a slim tpu type of case if you are worried about bulk. It gives a little more protection than naked.

For the love of all that is good and holy, get a case. And you don't need to go crazy buying an expensive one or waiting forever for a HK distributor. I own a bunch of cases because I love to swap 'em out, but my go-to case (and one of the least expensive cases I've bought is the Duzign Sentinel from from eBay that I got for $7.00 from a seller named senyx. The auctions are non-stop and I often see them ending at the opening bid of $7.00, like when I got mine. Shipping is free and the seller is in CA, so you get it quickly:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Duzign-Sent...t=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&hash=item20d25bad89
It's been discussed on other threads, but this one has a cool H.R. Giger alien look to it, offers awesome protection, and it has, in my opinion, the best TPU inner layer of any case (it's got a nice thick lip to protect the screen of your Note 2 in case of an unlucky fall). Heck the TPU is a great case by itself, and the outer shell comes with a kickstand for horizontal viewing. the Sentinel is identical to the Cruzer Lite Spi-Force case which sells for about $20. Just don't get the black/white as the white does get dirty pretty quickly. Mine is black on black and besides my UAG and bamboo cases, it easily gets the most compliments.
That is my .02 . . . hope it helps.
Not that it's particularly delicate, but it is particularly expensive.
If you don't buy a case, I expect the first bit of damage to trigger a new thread "Scratched by $600 phone! Damn!"
Hi everybody.
Thanks for all the opinions. These Duzign Sentinel do seem quite robust and not that bulky. The looks are quite odd (comparing to the original sober looks of the phone) but are not that bad...
That is the kind of price I would pay without feeling that I am paying a lot to have a bulkier phone.
I wont bother much if the bezel gets scratched. My main concern is the screen integrity.
I do have one year warranty (which I do not know if covers external damage :/) and, if something happen, I could always go DIY to try to fix it. The biggest problem would be the phone become useless for weeks :/
I do agree that it is important to feel safer with such expensive phone.
At the other hand, is hard to believe that Samsung, which is leading against Apple in such quality fight, still delivers such a fragile gadget and even dont provide a reasonable protection option as an accessory. That is very awkward.
Case-mate Tough seems very nice and is found at US$ 10.99 on Amazon. Too bad it doesn't ship to Brazil.

Haha . . so true. I know it's dorky, but I remember my grandmother always telling me: "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Well, in this case, a $10 case is worth a $100 deductible.

Actually cheaper through Case-Mate because shipping is free if you have Amazon Prime. This other seller requires a $3.99 surcharge. Still, $14.64 is a good deal. Returns or problems would probably be handled much better through original retailer, as well.

Good question. I had the flip case but it sucks and I dropped my phone twice and got two nice dents. I ordered a simple case for like 5 bucks just so the back doesn't feel slippery and what not. I do not use a screen protector, it'll be fine.
I bought the seidio active case and a glass screen protector before I even bought the note ii. This is a very expensive phone, I wouldn't use it and not buy some kind of protection. Seidio has an updated case call surface case but it didn't work with the glass screen protector cause the inside hard case would rub against the screen protector and push it up.The active case work great it's very slim and has a holster. Well long story short, I dropped my phone many times and nothing has broke or cracked. My job is physically demanding and its easy to bump or drop. Alot of my coworkers has cracked screens or has broken there phone.

Hi Brayden87, thanks for the reply.
I've seen the samsung case on the Note 1. It really is slim.
It actually is so slim I wonder it really does protect the phone. Would you say it can make the difference upon a drop?
This is one I would like to get... probably easier to find too.

I think you're confused with another case, I have the protective cover+ and it's probably 2-3mm thick. Adds barely any thickness to the note 2 and looks awesome. Cost me $30. I didn't want a big case and this one is perfect for me. Covers everything you want covered.

just confused with Samsung original cover (which I have seen only on the Note 1)
do you have any link or photos of yours?
Thanks!
I like to reference this article when anyone asks me this question:

It's a nice real world example.

Very interesting indeed. And very nice looking bumper btw. This metallic bumper wouldn`t interfere on the device antennas?
I will consider these as well... I wonder how they compare to full body cases such as Duzign Sentinel, Speck Candyshell or Case-mate Tough.
I didn't feel like I needed a case at all. Till I dropped it. Twice. The rear cover went flying and so did the battery. Phone held up flawlessly, but i didn't like the flying parts. So I bought a cute Incipio case from androidcentral.com

Introducing the Otterbox Defender 4!

I purchased an Otterbox Defender case for my HTC M8 in April of 2014 and after a couple of months the rubber had turned mushy and swollen to a point that it no longer fit so, off to the VZW store for Otterbox Defender 2 which broke the retaining clip for the holster after a month or so, off to VZW for Otterbox Defender 3 which also broke the retaining clip and also suffered mushy rubber which resulted in my getting Otterbox Defender 4 today.
The warranty ends next month, if it'll last that long.....
I cannot recommend this case, there are MAJOR design flaws!
The concept is perfect for me, wish the execution was better. :crying:

I have used Spigen, UAG and currently Incipio dual pro but i have not faced any problem like Otterbox (rubber getting mushy and swollen) so maybe you can try another case. :good: otterbox is way overpriced imo.

I can't find another case I like as well, as for overprice they're under $25 on ebay. When this one dies I won't buy another Otterbox but I'll miss it and all the things it can do!
I use the belt holster daily, I use the kickstand nightly as my phone is my bedside clock and my phone is unmarked, no nicks, no dings, no scratches but it's hit the concrete from over 6 feet up several times, I don't know if another case can do that?

Today I received Otterbox Defender Case FIVE! The rubber on case 4 turned to mush. They're pretty cheap on Ebay so I went that route. Next time it'll be a different case, I'm about done with Otterbox...
How the hell does it turn to mush? Are you leaving it out in the sun or microwaving it?
I have had defenders for my galaxy nexus, galaxy note 2, galaxy tab 2 10.1, and an iPhone 4s over the years.
I don't have one for my m8 (way better phone than all the Samsung's listed above) yet.
The soft cover turns to a mushy spongy soft stuff and swells up so it no longer fits around the hard shell after a few months of normal use.

did you ever use the cases with a glass screen protector already on the phone?
I found a blue defender on ebay for $41 CAD after shipping and conversion from US funds.

No.
I paid $16.95 USD with free shipping for the black one I just got from Ebay.

Today we welcome Otterbox Defender case SIX!
The retaining tab snapped off the belt holder again, the rubber seems to be fine so far.
I'm using the holder from case number 4.
When it breaks or when the rubber turns to mush I'll be done with Otterbox, I already have another cheap case, it doesn't protect as well but neither does is break or disintegrate every few weeks...
Again, can't recommend this case to anyone, but as always, YMMV.
I had my usb charging port go out twice after using otterboxes religously. I called customer service and i explained my problem and my concern that the rubber flap is constantly putting pressure on the usb. She connected me to a manager and he happily asked what he could do to remedy the situation. I asked if any of the m8 cases did not have the usb flap. He said yes, and asked which color i would like. (Free) He also mentioned if something happened while using semetry case he would allow me to call and replace it with a different model of case (free). Sure my commuter case cost more then the semetry case, but this case has protected my phone just fine, and my usb hasnt went out.
Tldr- overpriced but excellent customer service.
on my defender the silicone started to peel away from the inner case, the charging flap started to tear, and the screen protector never fitted right leaving a gap and making it feel mushy, i know they used to be like the gold standard tough case, but they just aren't worth what otterbox charges, but fortunately the otterbox commuter i swapped to has been a lot better and feels much better quality, but i doubt i'll ever get another otterbox case i'd probably stay with spigen or UAG.

My i-Blason case failed me in only 8 months! Any other suggestions?

A few months ago I was looking for a case for my M8 that included a belt clip/holster and would offer some protection for the phone itself... but preferably WITHOUT a screen protector since I have never seen one, whether it's stick-on or part of the case, that didn't add a rainbow hue/discoloration or make the image look less sharp.
Ok, so everyone seems to go on about i-Blason. i-Blason this, i-Blason that, and it's one of the best selling and highest rated HTC M8 cases on Amazon.... and it was only $10, so I got one. Everyone seems to think they are great..... until something goes wrong that is. The belt-clip snapped today, and I figured, well, they do have a one year warranty.
... turns out, they only honor the warranty if you purchased it from their own site... at about twice the price. Their FAQ on their own website basically tells you "It's Amazon's problem" if you purchased it from them.
Ok... so i-Blason is a no-go. Guess I couldn't expect much from a $10 case..... problem is though, I seem to have almost no other options.
There are very few options that have a belt clip and aren't just a pouch/holster with no actual case, or a giant bells-and-whistles overpriced ordeal. I have only found three, and none of them seem any good:
First there is the Otterbox Defender. A brand I used to swear by..... until I had to do a warranty replacement on my previous phone, and was told it was on it's way...... then never heard from them again. And in the case of the M8 specifically, I have heard a ton of people say the M8 version of their Defender case is horrible.... and despite the overall positive score on Amazon, it's full of negative reviews. Also, it has a built-in screen protector, which o my previous phone drove me crazy with it's discoloration. The fact that this normally $50 case has been knocked down to $20 doesn't fill me with confidence:
http://www.amazon.com/Otterbox-Defender-HTC-One-Frustration-Free/dp/B00IL7BG5C/
Then there is the Puregear case for about $16. No screen protector and simple.... problem is it's TOO simple, there is barely any covering on the phone, especially across the front and most of the sides. It's almost just a place for the belt-clip to snag onto:
http://www.amazon.com/Puregear-Kickstand-Case-Holster-Combo/dp/B00JCS054M/
And finally, the last one I could find that was both a case and had a belt clip was the Encased "Pantera Series" for around $17. The case certainly looks nice, and promises a two year warranty. Problem is, the reviews mention issues like the case putting the window for the IR blaster on the wrong side of the phone, leaving the real IR blaster blocked, and blocking the notification led as well. Also, despite the two year warranty.... I couldn't find any information about their website no matter how much I Googled it! ... it also has a built-in screen protector like the Otterbox Defender:
http://www.amazon.com/Encased®-Pantera-Case-Warranty-Black/dp/B00PHL9DBE/
So, that's it. That's all the cases I have been able to find that are both a protective case and have a belt clip/holster, and none of them seem to be any good or fit the bill. Does anyone have any other suggestions? Or have they used any of these three and can offer comments about them?
