What is this?
This is Bump! A new and easy way to sign boot images for most modern LG phones so they'll boot on any locked phone.
Bump an image once, and flash it to however many phones you please.
How does this work?
Simply create an account on the site, click "Bump!", upload the boot/recovery images (also known incorrectly as 'kernels') and the service will automatically Bump them for you.
Is this project open source?
No, this project is not open source. We are however an "open" project, as we are all for transparency and user discussion. With that in mind, we'll be participating in user discussions and providing bugfixes and changelogs when possible.
Who made this?
Team Codefire, of course!
Bump would not be possible without the help and support of many people.
Please consider donating something to the people listed below to help them to continue to support your LG phone and to show your appreciation of all the hours they've put into this awesome unlock!
@thecubed - CLICK HERE to Donate - Project manager. Main hand in everything along the way.. from reversing the boot stack to website completion.
@IllegalArgument - CLICK HERE to Donate - Special thanks here, IllegalArgument really helped out and brought us across the finish line here. It's safe to say that we have the unlock today because of him - show him some love!
@autoprime - CLICK HERE to Donate - That'd be weird if I wrote something nice about myself here... :silly:
@Shelnutt2 - CLICK HERE to Donate - This guy nearly single-handedly wrote the entire Bump site in a few days. Lots of reversing work, super smart - another awesome member of the team!
@AnimatronicRocketReptile - CLICK HERE to Donate - Crypto help, thanks!
I'm just a user, do I need this?
Most likely not. If you're just flashing ROMs, this is a tool for developers only. There is no need to Bump ROMs yourself if you're not editing anything in the kernel, recovery, or ramdisk.
How do I know if something is Bump'd?
Look for the word "signed" or "bumped" in the filename. We will create a new section of the site soon that allows you to verify that a file is bumped soon enough.
Okay, I'm a developer, and I want this now!
Great! Go here and register, and Bump away!

As a user you don't have to be concerned about it if. Developers can now support latest boot stack without needing their users to downgrade it to use the loki hack. Though towleroot + autorec had already made our task of rooting and installing recovery very easy.

If this program has helped you, please consider donating.
There is a new download link as the Multiupload one was broken so everyone should be able to download the file now.
Description: To help automate flashing custom ROMs onto the Samsung Vibrant.
MODS: Please do not move this to another section as this is for Android development and is installed on the users computer not the phone. Thanks!
Disclaimer: I'm distributing this program as-is and no guarantee that it will not hurt your phone. So, use at your own risk and don't blame me for bricking your phone. I am to not be held liable for any outcome of the use of this program.

Things to do/know before using this program:
When you select the PIT and PDA files, it should default to the installed location and if not then browse to where you installed AIO Vibrant Toolbox as the files are in there.
Have .net4 installed. Download Here.
Enable USB debugging mode- Go to settings> Applications> Development> And then check the box next to USB debugging.
Have the ROM of your desire downloaded to your hard drive (In the program, Select ROM means the custom ROM you downloaded.).
Know a little bit about flashing and ROMs.
And that's about it. Most of the instructions are given to you by the program and are not needed to be written out here. If you find any part confusing, please comment in this thread and I'll try to implement it in the next release and I'll tell you what it means as a temporary solution.
If you ever accidentally press the download mode button when you didn't mean to, just unplug your device and do a battery pull.
To perform a master clear using ODIN, after flashing the stock firmware back onto the device, leave the phone plugged into the computer and keep ODIN open. Just click Master Clear in ODIN. !This will wipe everything off of the built-in storage (besides the stock ROM and stock apps)!
Download
If there are any bugs PM me and I'll try to get them fixed.
Just in case anyone wanted them. Here are the drivers in a smaller and automated installer that I created. It's the same that's used in my program so if you have my program installed you don't need to worry about these. -32 bit -64bit
Donations are appreciated if you found this program helpful:

Thank you! I've tried to make it as beginner friendly as possible as I remember trying to flash my first custom ROM on my captivate and had to read for like 3 days straight to finally figure out an easy method to do so and figured I'd write a program to help others out.
Very nice bro. Keep up the good work!!
Initial release 2.5? no 1.0?
thanks for the program!!! i'm just messing with you.
can't wait to try it out.
looks like a fantastic app... I do have one question. Does the app take into account lag-fixes, particularly voodoo? From what I could see it does not and a new guy could easily rely on the app for protection in these regards. If not an in app disclaimer might be a worthy addition.
Great app and it will come in very to a lot of people.

agreed. As far as i am aware the XL cannot be made S-off yet. I have heard someone say they have done it but i havnt managed to do it yet and ive tried a few ways. So unfortunately for that reason it not included in this toolkit. I will however include it in a near future release if available. The new release will include the option to install gingerbread or ICS
Nice work.
It will be nice if you can incorporate recovery so that nandroid backup of original stuff is done prior to rooting etc.

thanks gavguitarhero for making it easy to get root and install original ROM ...
just got two questions :
1 - what about recovery will it be included in this tool ?
2 - the original ROM for which region it'll be ?
anyone downloaded and tried this yet? let me know how it works for you.

I tried to write a recovery script before i uploaded the toolkit earlier however the script failed and i was in a rush to get the thing uploaded so im hoping a user will step forward with a recovery script so i can incorperate it in the next release with ICS.
as for the original rom, it is europe.
thanks
I have HD2 and with him there is an option to brake him if you install wrong radio.
What is the possibility to brick my XL?

have you included the proper property on said devices, for all that are covered here?
no one should be modifying anything in the rom to bypass assert checks if they are to use this specific recovery. this will cause other issues moving forward, if done.

you must confirm the MMC ERASE things as outlined above or it will hard brick these devices when let's say an operation like cache clear is executed. this is critical.

If you find any bugs, glitches, typos, button not working, script not working, etc. or simply want me to implement a feature into the toolkit, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ^^ (This was over 570 lines of code in Visual Studio 2013 you know, and I am a human being ). Perhaps someone here can help me. I did an RUU on my phone after I had already rooted and installed a custom ROM because I was having some problems with music playback. The RUU fixed the problem and I thought I should try to unlock the bootloader again to begin the rooting process but when I did my phone got stuck in a bootloop. I was able to install a recovery after unlocking but I was not able to flash a boot.img to my phone again. Any help would be great. Thanks!

I feel like I read somewhere that we needed to wipe after flashing. Just confirming if we do or not. As my understanding goes, start to finish: unlock bootloader, fastboot flash kernel to either A or B (whichever is active), reboot = profit?
Thanks for the quick development already!
Can you explain the benefit of this?

No need to wipe, just unlock bootloader(which will wipe your phone), then fastbot flash kernel and reboot. To change your active partition you can use "fastboot --set-active=a"

Uhhhhhhhhhh, it bricks your phone hard
Flashed R5 like a charm on Pixel. Not sure if it matters but I noticed version says it's marlin instead of sailfish. You're probably using the same base and what not though. Figured I'd let you know.

It's literally just one small change in the ramdisk that makes it work, so I just append the Pixel ramdisk to the same kernel. I will remove that when I get anykernel going and it will be the same zip for both devices at that point. Just waiting on TWRP to be public.
I'm looking for a kernel that will circumvent bootloader unlock detect for Android Pay...

What I'm asking if what are the benefits of switching to this Kernel rather than using the default? I've tried to find documentation and an explanation with no luck.

Then don't flash it, I don't need to convince you that it is better
Definitely interested in trying out this kernel. is there a way to backup the stock sailfish kernel(or does anyone have a copy of it?) that would be able to be flashed over to revert the system in the event that there are issues(such as an app failing due to modded kernel)?
