** Heimdall Image to return to stock (Retail Full) Verizon pit file setup.. - Verizon Galaxy Note 4 Android Development

O.k., so here is a Heimdall image for the FULL STOCK image. This is setup for the retail version, for those that are DEV EDITION and you know what your doing, you can selectively remove bootloader and other items idependently if you so choose to flash.
** If you do not know what you are doing or have not heard of Heimdall, for us Linux and MAC guys, do not flash or attempt to flash this. **
If you do know what your doing, then you will appreciate this file and how it makes it very simple for you to flash this to your Note 4 from Heimdall.

Before when I looked into rooting my note 4 there was talk about once knox was removed and bootloader was changed there was no going back to it... I know this is a stock file but has it be confirmed that it restores knox as well? Is there a video confirming the note 4 before and after?

Noob question but after I unzip, I use the larger file to flash in Odin correct?
Thanks! I downloaded the zip but i think the file may have gotten damaged. Could someone post the md5 of the file please?
There are 4 files. Each file goes into it's corresponding area in odin. BL into BL, AP into AP and so on, set all 4 files and then install.

JUST IN CASE - Please be aware this will revert everything back to stock and you will lose all data (just to save us from someone asking in future. hehe)
Again, thank you for providing this to us! I'm stoked I can finally root and stop the new 5.1 update from applying before we know if root exploit will still work. From the looks of reports, we should be seeing it sometime in June.
Now I just wish we could flash some of those AWESOME S6 ROMS I'm seeing. That would be perfect!

Are you freezing the AT&T software update?
I was under the impression that rooting would change ROM status to custom and thus not apply 5.1 OTA when available. Only able to apply 5.1 if you flash these files via Odin and then allow update through OTA.

Epg2 firmware

Anybody get it yet? Supposedly went official yesterday. About 300MB.
I unlocked your mum's bootloader.
It just arrived, and it was about 300MB. IT rebooted into TWRP, which just sat there. I rebooted, and then Andorid complained that the update didn't work. Well, duh!
That said, now I would like to know what I should have done or should do in the future. Any thoughts?
Mine just arrived
What's new?
Just found a story about it here - it is indeed the July update:
http://www.tmonews.com/2016/08/t-mobile-galaxy-note-4-note-edge-july-security-update/
Links in that article will eventually point you to here, where the update can be downloaded manually and installed via Samsung Smart Switch.
https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-16486#update_download
Since I am rooted I am actually not sure what to do, and would appreciate some advice.
300 mb is a big update. If you are rooted you will need to flash the new firmware in Odin. But you may want to hold off. I am note sure it adds any new features and will probably make your device incompatible with any ROMs that are currently available.

Thanks - sound advice.
So, where should I be looking on my Note 4 for the 300 MB download that happened earlier this morning, so I can delete it or copy/move it off for later?
I just got it but waiting to see if there are any bugs or negative effects. I'm not rooted so there's no way to go back.

Still looking and haven't found any clues for changelog, not even security update. Anybody?
I unlocked your mum's bootloader.
Yep...trying to figure out how to avoid the update too.
I'm stick rooted with XPosed, Beastmode kernel, and a few other mods.
I just did the update, and I can confirm that TWRP, root, and xposed all work.
I don't know about compatibility with custom roms though.

Yeah, if you can't find the update. You can just install the latest firmware you can find with odin, then update from settings.
Hi Folks,
I have no idea what "update from settings" means. Also, no idea where to start looking for the update - heck, I don't even know what to Google to find it. Thoughts?

So just to be clear, Overdrive is a MM-based T-Mobile ROM, basically just debloated and with some minor tweaks.
As a convenience, he has linked to "N910T Stock Odin Full EPG2 Firmware File," which we can flash using TWRP onto an otherwise stock+rooted MM 6.0.1.
I got this right?

any way to make this into a flashable zip for flashfire? or flashing the files with flashfire without deleting everything? i doubt we can flash it like we would in odin as a firmware update but creating a zip and clearing caches just might work if the bl and rc is the same. not sure but im looking to update to this but don't want to go thought the whole set up and everything. i might anyway, not sure yet.

If you have a full backup then why not just flash new firmware with odin? Flash, root, restore data. Cant really get much easier or faster. What advantages are you seeing with a flashable zip that maybe i'm missing?
Some people do not have access to a computer to use odin maybe? Faster and easier to use flashfire as well. Odin is fine for me though.
Hi, I have the SM-G35U firmware currently installed on my AT&T phone. If I install this, will it wipe my phone or I can just download this over the old firmware (and still keep all my data).

Yes, it will clear out your phone (downloads, data, etc). So before you flash the firmware. Make a complete back up just in case.

advantages would be doing everything on one device like flashing the update and restoring data at the same time. and further more possibly making the flashable zip pre rooted and debloated. making it almost a cutom stock rom without the at&t and samsung bloat. and for people wanting an unrooted install then odin would be more useful for flashing it in my opinion. having root now and flashfire i dont really see the need to have to use odin still for every update unless it has a new bl.

New OTA: G920TUVS4EPH2

Got this OTA after doing an ODIN of EPF1 to my phone. Baseband is updated to match, unsure about bootloader but I doubt it. If someone wants a ROM dump and is willing to tell me how....
I got this update pushed to me also.
Question for anyone who knows: If you flash this do you lose the ability to install custom low level software (firmware, recoveries, etc)?

It's possible, our S6 won't get locked on any 6.0 firmware's
Maybe on 7.0 if we get it. but not 6.0
And for clarification EPH2 was just security fixes.. everything else is still the same.

This guide will help you with all of it, just change the "the rom" part to whatever 6.0 rom you decide you want to use instead.
I'm downloading the complete TAR image from Sammobile, but due to finances I don't have the means to pay for the full speed..
So I'm downloading at the slow method.. If someone else has not uploaded the image, I will upload it by late tonite..
I'm still having issues with the damn Upload it gives me last second errors when I step away to do another task..
I'm making my final attempt to upload it onto my Android File Host... It should be up by morning if it uploads correctly.. Just Look For Zaphodspeaks in Android File Host if I haven't posted it yet..
I have many tasks to do this week ends.. Mainly upkeep the the old house and updating some of the old wiring while its getting cooler..
Finally, I uploaded the Image.. I had to recompress it since it kept giving me errors at the very end, just unzip and install in ODIN

Got my phone rooted, custom rom, and kernel that I was using before, no problem.
Last night (9/27) I got a firmware update for my factory USA unlocked 920T. Sammobile shows it was released on 9/26. It was a 50MB file that updated the Android secruity patch date to Sept. 1. No other changes. I noticed the Samsung Smart Manager app/widget shows I'm using 5% less memory now. I don't know if it's better RAM management or Samsung modified the app/widget to show different figures LOL. I suspect the t-mobile 920T will get the update soon.

Full ODIN stock ATT files.
Download one file, unzip to 4 files, put in ODIN and flash.
I take no responsibility if anything goes wrong. You don't need to be on certain baseband to flash this, you can flash this directly from any baseband version to this.

any chance you have revision 4 of the SM-G935U firmware on oreo?
Thanks you repaired my phone !
This worked for my phone but now im getting an error with my recovery menu saying it doesn't exist. I saw an earlier post with the same problem.
I bought this phone used and now its saying that i am not the original account signed in to the phone. I took it to the 2nd hand shop i bought it from and they want to charge me money to fix the problem when i remember signing in first thing to the phone. Im not to savi with these things but did installing this firmware change my user data?
