Good morning,
i have a question.
I want to install the apk of xperia launcher z3 but, when the installation process finish (message is "ok installed"), i try to change the launcher from stock launcher or from nova launcher to xperia z3 launcher, and the app crash immediately.
Can Help me?

i too tried to get the xperia launcher but i honestly dont think its compatabile with droid turbo. One thing to check did u make sure to clear defaults first? I cant remember if I did that or not.

I tried to install both xperia xperia launcher launcher is z2 z3.
In both cases, the application crashes immediately.
I tried to make clear date on the home 3 launcher (launcher stock droid), but even that did not work
It will be one of my sets but I want the weather widget animated stock xperia but it does not work as long as you do not install the home xperia.
Some think of any solution?

unfortunately i honestly dont think its compatible with the turbo

I found "THIS" one and tryed to launch but with my Novalauncher it's not possible ;(
Only the Launcher that comes with this widget will work together.
Now my Question is....is it possible to convert this apk?
I LOVE THIS THEME from the watch and wheater....and NO "One More Lock Widget" in the Playstore is no alternative because it looks not so good and has much more Battery Drain ;(

I don't think it can be converted to work with other launchers. Sony's widgets haven't worked on other launchers for years now and nobody (that I know of) has got them working on other launchers.
Shouldn't this be in the Q&A section?
Is it not possible to change the Settings in the APK?
Or to "say" the APK it's the right launcher?
I created 2 thread about this widget. And it is impossible to make the widget working on non-Motorola launcher.

It is possible to run with the Launcher that is in this thread too...
But as i said i love my Nova Launcher ;(

as i said, the widget does not working on non-Motorola launcher. In the thread, that is Motorola launcher and widget see?
Ok, is this even possible on our Xperia home launcher?
I just got used to other launchers wherein there's a haptic feedback whenever you press the app drawer icon. Our Xperia launcher is smoother than any other 3rd party launchers out there(that's why I prefer it) so it would be nice if this feature/mod can be integrated on our Xperia home launcher also. TIA.
Or if anybody can point me where to start, I'm willing to give this mod a try myself.

I decided to use another launcher in place of the stock xperia one
so I also froze it with rom toolbox
In this case some of Sony provided widgets e.g. weather, disappear from the widgets menu or list in the app drawer
Is it possible to recover them and make them usable with other launchers somehow?

Not as far as I know. I can't use them on Apex Launcher or Nova either (even without disabling the sony launcher).

Some of them do work on nova
for instance the camera widgets and some from walkman
but not the music controls and others

Same here with Next Launcher, but better sacrifice some widget than use the stock launcher which is very ugly.
There is a sony walkman widget in the playstore that I use with nova, it's not quite as pretty but gets the job done.

Hello all- I recently watched a review of this phone and the reviewer showed that it was not possible to add widgets to the home screen of this phone while using an alternate launcher such as Nova, Apex, etc...
Is this true ? I am just looking for verification before I consider getting one of these.

Not true. I used Nova Launcher Prime and i can add widgets as i please.
You may not be able to add lenovo widgets unless u are using VibeUI's launcher. But all other widgets are working fine.

OK, Thank You alexkit....
The guy in the video must have had an issue with his phone. He was using Nova launcher and every time he tried to add a widget to his home screen he got a force close.
One more question if you dont mind !! (actually 2 questions LOL)
How are the selection of themes ? Can you customize themes like using icons from in another theme, etc... ?

You need to copy the launcher directory into /system/priv-app/
And reboot.

I've found that on some ROMs if you don't add a widget with the stock launcher at least once it won't allow you to add a widget with Nova, if nova doesn't allow you to add widget switch back to the stock launcher for a second and add one, then switch back, see if that sorts it!
So I updated my Xperia Z3+ today and noticed that the home screen does not rotate any more.
I looked in the home screen settings, but there is no such option, like it used to be on 5.0.1.
Am I just not seeing this option, or has Sony removed this feature?
No answer I see. I unfortunately found the same thing, and it really annoys me. I had to move to use Nova launcher so I could get it back, but unfortunately I don't find nova as good as the inbuilt one. The widget handling of nova on the xperia is terrible, and the standard app tray is not as good as the xperia one. I keep hoping there will be an update that fixes it.
I guess it is that sony sadly stopped implementing mag charging and docks for the z5 and later so just don't care. And honestly I can not understand why they stopped that. It is fantastic using your phone as a bedside clock / photo frame on a dock. If I lost my current XPeria, I'd probably just buy the same model again, not get one of the later ones. Or find a different brand that did support horizontal dock/charge.
EDIT: It looks like they have released a beta of it with it fixed, but apparently buggy:

Mobe @ haha very funny... Why you said Nova is not better than Stock launcher? I think you doesn't know the true features of nova or you don't know how to customize it.

4. Hide/ Unhide docks.
5. Customise the notification look on nova.
6. Place whatever shortcut you want to put on desktop.
7. Choose between vertical, horizontal and card swipping in app drawer.
