Droid 4 LTE 700mhz Band 28? - Motorola Droid 4

Hi all,
On the 1st January 2015 LTE 700mhz Band 28 becomes active in Australia. Is it possible to hack the Droid 4 (XT894) to access this band?
Regards,
Seb

It should work without problem because it natively uses that frequency for the lte.

700Mhz LTE Band 28 is coming to Finland also (January 2017). However I believe that Droid 4 (XT894) only supports LTE band 13 (which is also 700Mhz). So Droid 4 will not work on Band 28? Am I right? Band 13 and Band 28 are using different technique what I have read.

Which Note 4 Exynos version works with USA T-Mobile LTE?

Folks,
I have looked for this answer everywhere and do not seem to find an answer for it: Which version of the Note 4 Exynos works with T-Mobile LTE?
From a post I read, seems that the SM-N910C sold in Qatar works, but I am not sure.
Any help is greatly appreciated !
Cheers,
G
Interesting...unless the Qatar version supports 1700MHz band....I'm don't think you'll fully be able to utilize the TM network.
This makes me curious now...
This is what I found, from XDA:
SM-N910T(Qualcomm Snapdragon 805)------[USA T-Mobile]------{FDD-LTE+WCDMA+GSM}
SM-N910T1(Qualcomm Snapdragon 805)------[USA T-Mobile]------{FDD-LTE+WCDMA+GSM}
Now, for models with Exynos:
SM-N910C(Samsung Exynos 5433)------[Asia,Europe,South America]------{FDD-LTE+WCDMA+GSM}
SM-N910H(Samsung Exynos 5433)------[Asia-Pacific]------{WCDMA+GSM}
SM-N910K(Samsung Exynos 5433)------[Korea KT+]------{FDD-LTE+WCDMA+GSM}
SM-N910L(Samsung Exynos 5433)------[Korea LG+]------{FDD-LTE+WCDMA+GSM}
SM-N910S(Samsung Exynos 5433)------[Korea SKT]------{FDD-LTE+WCDMA+GSM}
SM-N910U(Samsung Exynos 5433)------[HongKong,Taiwan,Australia,New Zealand,Chile]------{TDD-LTE+FDD-LTE+WCDMA+GSM}
I have read somewhere here in XDA that the SM-N910H will not work in T-Mobile. Then is only:
SM-N910C(Samsung Exynos 5433)------[Asia,Europe,South America]------{FDD-LTE+WCDMA+GSM}
SM-N910K(Samsung Exynos 5433)------[Korea KT+]------{FDD-LTE+WCDMA+GSM}
SM-N910L(Samsung Exynos 5433)------[Korea LG+]------{FDD-LTE+WCDMA+GSM}
SM-N910S(Samsung Exynos 5433)------[Korea SKT]------{FDD-LTE+WCDMA+GSM}
SM-N910U(Samsung Exynos 5433)------[HongKong,Taiwan,Australia,New Zealand,Chile]------{TDD-LTE+FDD-LTE+WCDMA+GSM}

Short answer, The N910C and N910U has Band 4 LTE. Neither has band 12 (700MHz Block A)
Also, when on call or in a low-signal area, hold the phone with your left hand. The diversity receiver (2nd antenna) is right beneath the power button.

Yup, thanks a lot ! I was getting to that conclusion... T-Mobile uses Band 4 (AWS 1700/2100 MHz), which you are right only the N910C and N910U have. And also true, as with other international phones like the Sony Z3 and others, the biggest regret will be Band 12. However, for what I have read, the regret there of not having Band 12 is WiFi calling and some better reception indoor like in buildings and such.
Cheers,
G.
LTE Band 12 has nothing to do with WiFi calling. WiFi calling, in terms of hardware, simply requires WiFi, which all N910 models have (2.4 and 5.xGHz). The rest is carrier support (which T-Mobile has) and software on the phone (which if it isn't on by default can be added via root).
LTE Band 12 doesn't matter much outside of California, Florida, Texas, New England, Cleveland, Denver, Detroit, Atlanta, Minneapolis and Indianapolis. Leap (Cricket) Wireless owns most of the 700MHz Block A spectrum in America. Check out this map and see where you live vs what your carrier holds.

Thank you very much.
I looked at that map but did not quite understood the results. So, can you please educate me on what really I might miss should I go missing the Band 12 for someone living on those areas you have mentioned above?
I am tired of waiting on the T-Mobile Note 4 availability and the N910U seems to be available on eBay, plus it has the Exynos.
Cheers,
What's so special about the Exynos processor over the 805? The 805 in my Note4 is a beast.

The Exynos is faster. Got it.

How do you add wi-fi calling via root? My understanding is that no one has managed to extract wi-fi related software pieces from T-Mobile ROMs and successfully port anywhere. That's why I'm always stuck with TW ROMs.
Just get the sm-n910t. Why do you want Exynos version? Many app wont take advantage of that cpu.
Yup, I did. Was trying to find alternatives since the Tmobile version seems so scarce and difficult to get...but, finally got one. Cheerrs. G.
N910C VoLTE and international dialer questions.
For anyone that has the N910C running on T-Mobile, is VoLTE actived for you? When you make a call, does it stay on LTE or does it drop to 4G (HSPA) and then go back to LTE after you hang up.
Also, does the dialer include the video chat icon on the bottom left and is there a way to remove it since (I'm guessing) it doesn't work.
I have a n910c and I'm on tmobile when I call it drops down to 4g then goes back to lte.

Does HSPA (aws) 3G/4G (H+) work on your 910c on tmobile?
Also are you able to make calls & use data at the same time?
Edit: nevermind just read above post. Please disregard
Can anyone confirm for sure if they're able to surf the web or do any data related activity while on a call with their sm-n910c? I have ZERO data connectivity while on a call and as soon as the call hangs up, I instantly have my data back. Any help or confirmation is appreciated.

[Q] No Band 12 for AT&T & TMO

Question here. I was doing some digging. I should receive my Z3 compact phone today. I read that both it and the Z3 phones do not offer band 12. I currently use Straight Talk running off the AT&T bands. Apparently, in 2013 AT&T announced that they picked up band 12. Here is the breakdown of bands used between AT&T and TMO;
AT&T:
4G-LTE Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 12, 17, 20, and 29
4G HSPA+ with enhanced backhaul
3G - UMTS 850/1900/2100MHz
GSM/GPRS/EDGE 850/900/1800/1900MHz
T-Mobile:
Quad Band GSM; UMTS: Band I (2100), Band II (1900), Band IV (1700/2100), Band V (850); LTE: 12, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 17
Is the lack of band 12 causing any issues with Z3/Z3C users using AT&T?
No issues.

Is T-MOBILE's NOTE 4 4G/LTE, compatible with EUROPE's 1800MHZ frequency?

Hi Guys
I'm from Macedonia,Europe and I have a chance to buy tomorrow cheaper NOTE4 from T-MOBILE or VERIZON.Since VERIZON uses CDMA frequencies,can you help me by clearing things up:
Is T-Mobiles NOTE 4 compatible with my carriers frequencies here in Europe? I think that it is GSM and that the voice calls will not be problem,but is 4G/LTE compatible here?
My carrier is ONE and they told me that their 4G/ LTE uses 1800MHZ (bend 3 I think) and 800MHZ(bend 20).
-------------------------------------
Here is TMOBILE'S NOTE 4 specs from their website:
International
Quad Band GSM; LTE: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 17; UMTS: Band I (2100), Band II (1900), Band IV (1700/2100), Band V (850)
--------------------------------------------------
This is from VERIZONS NOTE 4:
Network: LTE Band 13/4 (700/1700 MHz), CDMA/1xEVDO Rev. A (800/1900 MHz); Global Network: EDGE/GSM (850/900/1800/1900), HSPA/UMTS(850/900/1900/2100)
-------------------------------------------------------
Please help me and tell me if any of the models is compatible with my carrier in Europe,because it is urgent!!!
Thank you in advance
I have found a picture supossedly of TMobile's Note 4 back retail packaging.It says that it supports 1800MHZ in "OTHER LTE frequency".Can anyone of you that owns Note4, confirm it is original picture and that it really supports 4G/LTE 1800MHZ frequency????

Did u buy phone from particular carrier or was it international carrier unlocked version?
As for z1 international, it supports pretty much every band out there http://m.gsmarena.com/sony_xperia_z1-5596.php
I've used it in USA (lte works), India and Dubai.
I can't understand what's in the link for sim card but just search for the carrier and bands supported by carrier in Google.
As for lte we can't be sure since there is no set standard.

It depends what z1 you have bought. Since you bought it in the UK it should be a C6903.
If theses specs from gsm arena are correct than you can't use LTE band 21 since it isn't supported by C6903.
Maybe it doesn't matter because it depends how much the net provider uses band 21. There are 2 other bands mentioned.
For example here in Germany the net provider use 3 different lte bands but not every provider uses every band.

Ok, cheers for the reply. I'm just gonna go ahead an buy it and hope for the best. If it doesn't work it's not a big deal, only £20. No contract or anything.

Verizon S10 5G LTE bands missing exist

Wanted to post that on Verizon and Samsung website the LTE bands supported on the device doesn't not include bands 12 and 71 that T mobile uses. Well i have used it on T-Mobile and it connected to band 12 which leaves me to believe the Verizon edition supports all bands like a unlock model would. Single and bands 2 4 and 66 worked great and are the main ones used in my part but 12 is around also and connects. Don't have any area where there is band 71 so cannot test that but like i said probably does just wanted to pass the info.

Hey bud
I just started using the Samsung galaxy s10 5g verizon variant with tmobile and had band 71 in the band selection app but today I checked and the highest band it has now is 66. Why did band 71 disappear from the lte band list?
Would you know about that?
Thanks
Nevermind, figured it out.
