Hi,
It's nice to see some other recovery port for this awesome device, have you planned to implement dual boot features in next updates?
Regards.

It works great for me.
Just flash the latest zip directly via CWM.
If it still doesn't work, give detailed procedure of what you did.

It worked now, I don't know why it didn't the first time ^^
But I have a new problem now :silly: My Mi3 is stuck on the boot logo... I'll try to reflash the ROM

Mi4W Screenshot
I use Mi4W,when i take a screenshot,it generates images which are 0kb,don't know why.Besides,i can't find these images in RootExplorer, but i can find it in SolidExplorer, even though, i can't delete them with SolidExplorer.

Kundan,
I am MIUI 6 (Stable, India) and trying to flash TWRP using MI Recovery and Updater App, but in both the cases it is failing.
MIUI Updater App - " Can,t update at the moment. Touch "OK" to report this error
to our engineer"
Mi Recovery - " Update fails at 98%"
Not sure if the issue is with MIUI 6 Stable ROM...
My observation is that with above method, I cannot flash any package/update except complete ROM....
I am planning to follow steps -
1) Flash back MIUI 5.0
2) Install TWRP
3) Flashback MIUI 6.0
4) Root using SuperUser...
Any Expert Advice....???
Sorry asking same question in two threads...

You can use an app like rashr or flashify to flash recovery. But you need to extract the recovery.img from the zip file.

I tried both apps but they look for root access. Without root access the don't work...

Normally you can root miui rom.

Installation issue TWRP on MIUI 6.3.9.0 | stable
Hi Kundancool,
I am using MIUI V 6.3.9.0 .
Previously i was using V 6.3.2.0 and flashed custom recovery TWRP using fastboot and then installed SuperSU by selecting zip file from recovery tools...and everything working just fine..
but this time arround, after updating my OS version to MIUI V 6.3.9.0 ( it was OTA update) ..few things happned
1. My TWRP recovery was flashed back to MIUI recovery
2. have lost my SuperSu installation and root access
and now ,
I am not able to install TWRP either 2.8.4 or 2.8.5... fasboot menu says all went well and ends with "OK" status but when i reboot and then go to the recovery it is that old MIUI recovery ..
can you please provide me the working TWRP link which is compatible with MIUI V 6.3.9.0 (KXDMIBL) | Stable..
Please help

Hey there sir @kundancool. Umm, can you do something about the battery leak when entering TWRP? Its glaring really. Example, I have 90% left then when I reboot and enter TWRP, the battery drops down to 80 or 78%..

Have build 2 included fixes (SuperSU, seteonforce, data, etc.) ?
What should I do to use this ROM a daily driver (after flash rom, reboot, flash gapps) ?
Same question #4363467346
Hello guys, newbie question (not really, but okay)
So, I saw that this rom needs 4.4.x, so I installed XperianZe (The 4.4.4 version), after that I installed build #2, when the phone booted up, I turned off the adaptive brightness, after that, everything is going smooth.
BUT, Wifi (surprised, because dev said it's working), gsm data and voice not working, any suggestion?
I flashed This fix, but it's not working

No problem... it's normal android L interface.
Hi
I've tried in a lot of different ways, but the ROM doesn't work. After the first boot i'v enough time to set off the autobrightness option, but then the phone starts to reboots in loop anyway. before I had XperianZ3 4.4.4 KitKat, I've tried to flash the ROM normally, and I've tried to do a dirty flash. I've tried to install before the first build of the ROM over the second (normal flash and dirty flash) and viceversa(normal flash and dirty flash). The result is the same in all the cases. What should I do?
Hello guys, I flashed this build 2 and dont update.
Why? I put ramdisk, and I wipe cache and davilk
@Furrydaus you said that random reboot is fix but i have reboot when i enable autobrightness !

If you expect that the new build was based on 5.0.3 you will need wait, sources to that version of android is not taken

Try flashing stock and flashing from there. Possibly has to do with the Kernel not being stock.

I use PA Gapps pico modular proper DPI version. Works like a charm. I prefer this small package while than I can install other apps (like gmail, hangouts) from store as user apps, not system apps.

[request] zcx twrp

Hey Dev if u are free from your work then port a ZCX TWRP for xiaomi mi 3 based on official kernel source...!! Anyone has need it...!!
Because it supports ota incremental updates...!!!
Plzzz....
1.st: requests don't belong to development forum
2nd: there's no need of zcx on Mi3... Normal TWRP already supports OTA updates even on MIUI, as far as you didn't modify/root your system.

Yes I've just updated like that.
Steps:
1.) downloaded the update using MIUI's Updater app (1xxMB)
2.) Pressed on the reboot button
3.) It has automatically installed the update and rebooted.
So basically no special steps are needed.

[ROM][STOCK][TWRP][v9.5.10]Tissot Stock Oreo 8.0 Rooted/8.1 Leak

Code:
Warning! any damage done to your device is not my fault, use at your own risk!
Hi everyone, after seeing a lack of TWRP flash-able roms I decided to upload this, it is the latest stock rom of the Xiaomi A1, pre-rooted (although I attached stock kernel if you rather go root free)
Instructions:
First of all have at least 30% power on your device to avoid any power down during flash and possible bricking
1. In TWRP select zip and flash, please note that this will flash both A/B partitions (but not userdata partition)
2. After done, reboot
What's the use of this ZIP? if your like me and not always next to your PC to flash fastboot roms or if you want to return to stock or downgrade etc, you can do it using this.

This works great
Use this to boot TWRP (fastboot boot [twrp_Image.img]):
https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=962157660013069602
then flash this from external SD
http://www.mediafire.com/file/338o7cl72z52rzz/twrp-3.2.1-1-installer-tissot-FIXED_By_DroiDMester.zip
After that internal/external will mount fine, the key is having it flashed, otherwise they don't mount if booted

Nah, i don't see the benefit of deodex plus the time it will take is just not worth it... i just wanted to share the stock solution since i got sick of flashing through fastboot/miflash or restoring using twrp... this is much faster and better

But you're fully right: this flashing procedures via fastboot are annoying and making tired.

No idea... I would use twrp if I were you but if you do try it , do it at your own risk
@sooti I can find security patch level os of 1 January 2018. You have mentioned 10 January 2018 ?

Thanks @@sooti for this ROM. I flashed it with TWRP and so far everything works great.
I have a question. After flash I directly flash stock boot.img, after boot to system and let everything settle down I boot back to recovery and it is now the stock recovery. Does this mean if there's OTA in future I can apply it?

OK, no problem. Then I must work furthermore with Xposed Framework and FakeGapps and more.
But you're fully right: this flashing procedures via fastboot are annoying and making tired.
Cheers!

I'm new with Mi 1, can you tell me why flash with fastboot? Is it using command prompt to flash with fastboot?

Coming back to Android - How to flash global rom via twrp on a magisk rooted mi9

Hey guys,
coming back to android after several years of using apple smartphone devices at work. (was active here when the htc magic was launched)
So far I was able to read myself in on how things run these days. I was able to go through all the hoops, got the device unlocked, decrypted - used a users video guide from the forum here to install twrp for recovery - rooted the device with magisk and was happy to be able to use the apps that needed root.
Now I am sitting here with the first ota update after the flash: MIUI V10.2.26.0.PFAEUXM Stable 2.2G and I am getting triggered by the popups to update (taskbar, icon symbol) - I clicked on update and when I reboot I get into twrp not the stock recovery, seems legit cause he awaits a xiaomi flash but boots into twrp.
My question now is:
can I update the miui from twrp if I have the zip file without loosing my data? would be a pain to setup all the apps again and I am a bit too uncertain to test this now.
best regards
Lucin
If it's the same rom base but only an update then yes..... Meaning global rom to global rom update.... EU ROM to EU ROM UPDATE then yes!!! Just update through TWRP and you won't lose data

Ok - Thank you that is exactly what I want to do - just tried it and unfortunately I get some Errors. See attached photo. Someone can enlighten me?
Could it be due to me restarting from the Update window from miui? Maybe I should try to get the rom separetly and save it on the device in another folder?

Nope it's not that.... You should use this TWRP bellow not the current one you're using because that one has miui flashing issues!!!
Use this one
