HELP!!! Please! BRICKED!!! - LG Optimus L90

Hey so I have the L90 D415 and I flashed the partition tool to get more data but i didn't realize that it was broken for my device and now im having issues.... This is how it went. I used the tool and it got to 70% and rebooted back into twrp so i knew that wasnt right so i flashed the next one that was supposed to be fixed and it did flash completely but for some reason it erased twrp, installed cwm and now i cant get into either. I had flashed stock using cwm before i chose to reboot but im still not able to boot up(stuck on LG logo). So to recap I can't get into recovery at all. I have fastboot. flashtool wont work(wont read phone in usb mode cuz im not booted) and im stuck on the LG boot screen. Please help me.

Well duh you didnt wipe the data of the rom before you flashed so of couse you are gonna be boot. Flash with the kdz offline flash then when you are done flashing pull out battery and use special button combo to factory reset it so that you can boot in to phone but you will lose all data excluding the ones on your EXTERNAL sd card.

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2625044 follow the same steps but use our kdz for lg l90

4. go to C:\ProgramData\LGMOBILEAX
remove all files and folder
5. copy all files and folders from LGMOBILEAX that you unzip from step2 to C:\ProgramData\LGMOBILEAX
I ran into a problem. I cannot find the directory mentioned in #4.

yeah i figured it out with google.
I have tried both methods on the guide and have came up short both times. I keep receiving this error(In screenshot).

I am desperate for any fix to this problem. I have access to fastboot and download mode. That is honestly all i got. When my phone is on the LG screen my computer reads it but the lg flash tool has connection issues. Please help me figure this out. I really need my phone back.

Go on the lg website and find lg l90 d415 drivers and install them if you got that far its most likely just driver issues.

Also check if you have your computer enabled for all drivers..
Some drivers do not boot because the certificate is not correctly assigned.
If you have a PC running Windows, on boot press F8 and select disable driver certification verify.
Try again after this.

Optimus lg 2x S/W upgrade brick

Hey what's up! I'm having a really big issue with my Optimus 2x. I tried updating it using an online guide and using a program called KDZ FW UPD EN something like that.
The update didn't work and I'm stuck with a frozen screen that says S/W Upgrade, please wait while upgrading...
I have tried the hard boot, where you press the top button and the down volume button but when it takes me to the reset screen I cannot choose an option.
I have tried using the flashes as shown on the forums but I'm not sure if I'm doing it right. I've seen all the posts, but I don't quite understand what to do. Could someone PM me? I'm a complete noob at this.
Do I need another program to do Flash?
How do I hook up a bricked optimus to the computer and flash?
Do I still use the lgmobile update to flash/sync with the computer? If so how?
Could you possibly walk me through the steps, if you have time on your hands. My phone is my only way of communicating with my family in another province.
Thanks!

I keep getting stuck when it is actually installing. After the download section the updater crashes.
My phone can't do anything. I know I turned on the debug mode before the brick happened. All that happens when I turn on the phone is it says "S/W upgrade please wait."
Any suggestions?
Hello!
Follow the guide step by step...
Pull the battery push volume down and connect phone to your computer - now it says S/W Update please wait - and if everything (all the drivers) are installed correctly the Smartflash/LG Updater should see the phone and you can begin flashing.
If you phone isn’t seen by the software almost probably the driver isn’t correct.

What ever I try it freezes on the UPDATE portion of it.
Before it used to freeze at 4% but now everytime it gets to update, it crashes.
Hello!
Did you try Rustys method?
What crashes? Your PC or the phone?
Did you use LG Updater, Smartflash or NVFlash?

The updater crashes. I did the flash with the KDZ. Not sure which one it is.
The updater crashes.
And on my phone it is stuck on the S/W upgrade, like it doesn't go past that even when booting up normally.

You should try Rustys Disaster recovery first.

As I understand he is stuck in the "S/W upgrade please wait."-screen and can't boot in any way - doesn't sound like he has cwm installed...
As I already wrote he should try to flash Rusty Disaster recovery first (contains cwm) and then try to recover from there.

I checked out rusty's disaster thing, but ummm what do I exactly do with it. There is no real explanation about what to do, could you walk me through it perhaps? ^^ thank you again.
Hello!
Just follow Rustys post...
Start „flash-recovery.bat“ choose either internal or external SD card and flash it.
Since you surely don't have a nandroid backup I would choose external and do backups to external card in the future...
After that you should be able to get in to recovery and flash other roms you put on your SD card.
BTW: Don't forget when you use any of the flashing tools with Windows 7 you need administrative rights to do so – same goes for the LG Updater by the way...
Just right click on the batchfile (.bat) or smartflasher and use „execute as administrator“. Hope you find it - it says „Als Administrator ausführen“ in German...
If you want pure stock you could stock use this method with smartflash...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1327929
If you want a pre-rooted version use this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1327949
(the Update.zip is flashable through CWM-recovery – just put it on the external SD card.
If you want to flash CM7-KANGS don't forget to flash gapps too...

How do I go about executing the flash-recovery.bat?
I hook up my phone, it turns on to S/W upgrade. The computer recognizes it, and then I open up the flash-recovery.bat and nothing happens when I tell it to do the external thing. The window just closes. O.O
Am I doing something wrong? Am I supposed to place the flash-recovery inside something? Like an external sd card on the phone or something like that?

Hello!
Ok, still sounds like a communications problem between you computer and you phone.
You should try to use the command shell to start the batch-script to see if there are any error messages.
Do you use Windows 7, Vista or XP?
If you use Windows 7 look for PowerShell(x86) - you find though the start button - just punch in "shell" and it should show up.
Start it with right click of the mouse and use administrative rights!!!
Extract the files from Rustys disaster recovery package to a directory on c: - some thing short like "t" or "recover" and use the cd command in shell to get in the directory. Then start the batch script - type "./flash-recovery.bat".
Of course don't forget to connect the phone before the usual way - disconnect the battery push volume down and connect it via USB.
Now it should flash or give you an error message...

I had understood that he has to flash only recovery, not the firmware
Hello!
Well he had problems flashing the Update and now the device seems to be bricked.
The suggestion was to flash Rustys disaster recovery and try to flash a new rom from there. Right know he is stuck in a device only showing the "wait S/W-Update" screen...
He also could try Smartflash and flash a new firmware stock or custom whatever...
Again - right now he is stuck with a brick.
If u r using stock rom & bricked whn doin update, try LG online recovery its in update application in situation update not successful it phone gets bricked.it simple process.

[Q] HTC One Bricked (bootloop)

Hello folks,
During update from Revolution HD 3.4 to 3.5 something went wrong and process stopped before it got finished. Now I ended up in bootloop, even recovery is not working. I've tried to use RUU but failed on CID verification as I'm having the phone from 3 IE. Is any chance to bring it back to life or i just got very expensive paper weight ?
Or if anyone can provide RUU for 3 IE I'm willing to pay for it.
Bad day, bad day...
Thank you for any advice.

What I have done.
1.) Unlocked, re-locked bootloader.. (i think this did the trick, full wipe ?)
2.) Wiped cache
3.) Re-flash clockworkmod
4.) Upload ROM using sideload.
Now the phone is back. I hope i will not break something again.
Hi, I am having the same issue with my phone as of right now. I tried re-locking bootloader and then unlocking again and also reflashing clockwork and I am still getting the bootloop and cannot access recovery (flashes for 0.1 secs and then disappears).
What exactly did you do to fix the issue?

Hi Riyal,
I have fixed that issue with fastboot erase cache. Now, I am having a problem loading a ROM because it states in recovery that it "can't mount SD card"?
Figured it out, I just had to ADB push a stock rom and then re-wipe/re-flash

My HTC One device is actually suffering the same problem.
I bought my HTC One Sprint(Sim-Free Edition) in the US and got it to India.
But after I inserted my Indian Sim it said ''SIM LOCK ENABLED''.....I just got frustrated and
rooted the device and tried to install ''Android RevolutionHD (Odexed)'' Stock ROM with the help of TWRP.
But after I installed the stock rom, my device is just showing the HTC symbol and hanging there itself.
It Hangs there for around 6-7mins and reboots and the same happens again.
The only thing I can do is to get in to the bootloader and Power OFF the Device.
Any Help???? Please..... just having a costly paper weight since 2 weeks.
Please need help urgently....!!!

Now connect you phone with pc with your phone booted in fastboot/bootloader,
Later flash boot.img by following command
"Fastboot flash boot boot.img"
Reboot and your done
If you do not know how to use abd search for it

i was going through the same thing yesterday and i thought i had bricked my phone. what i did that finally worked, was unplugging the usb, restarting the computer, reinstalling htc drivers, then restarting the computer, then using a different usb port. i was finally able to sideload ARHD whereas before i could do fastboot commands, but it wasn't responding to the sideload, and wasn't able to mount the sdcard, so i thought i was screwed. :good:

Thanks for the tip, I was able to get back into AROMA but the original issue that got me to this point came up again. Aroma installer runs and during the install it kicks itself out and sends me back to recovery, so the installer doesn't complete. It gets to about 30% and craps out just after it writes system data and starts to install the .apk's. Screen goes black and it reboots itself and sends me to recovery.

[Q] Verizon LG G2 Stuck in CWM Bootloop

Hey guys,
I accidentally selected the OTA that popped up on my phone while on a Stock ROM and now my Verizon LG G2 is stuck in a bootloop with CWM Recovery 6.0.4.4 I have tried to wipe everything and install a older CM ROM and Gummy ROM to see if that would get my phone to turn back on and it doesn't. I have researched many threads to see if there was a resolution for my issue, but everything that I tried did not work. I have a iMac and a Windows laptop and I have tried many things with Terminal and Command Prompt and nothing seems to work. I don't know if I am doing something wrong with ADB or if I am simply just missing other things, but I am trying to get my phone back un-rooted and back to stock to get my phone replaced under the warranty. PLEASE HELP!

Can someone PLEASE help me boot my phone into FASTBOOT mode? ( T mobile h811) on CM13

When I first purchased this phone I was able to boot to the default recovery that came with the phone ( which clearly had a *fastboot option*), it came with stock 5.1, and a bunch of bloatware.
I downloaded the one click root method for the h811 which was perhaps the easiest root i've ever done. great. i also had to flash my recovery to twrp 2.8 for some reason.
Rocked out to a newely rooted device on 5.1 until the t mobile bloatware and system update notification kept bugging me, so I said * eff it, i've been holding out for a while*
So I get to the cm 13 wiki for my device, I managed to install the cm recovery ( cant remember how i did this for some reason) and then i was able to flash cm13 to my phone. CM13 is sleek, and smooth but is presenting problems.
First of all, no google play store and the gapps zip wont install through cm recovery ( fails and tells me to use twrp instead which is a problem because i can't boot this phone into fastboot mode)
I am unrooted and can not figure out how to properly root a T mobile h811 running cm13, so the twrp manager doesn't work because it "requires root" then shuts down. ( enable root access in the cm13 developer options does nothing at all and yes, for adb and apps)
FAST BOOT MODE DOES NOT SEEM TO EXIST ANYMORE ON MY PHONE - Following the many tutorials, which goes long the lines of using adb/fastboot, adb devices can see my device, but fastboot devices can't ( figures) because its not in fastboot mode. Any fast boot reboot bootloader or any variant of that command only reboots the phone, to... swipe the screen.
I've installed the lg bridge crap ( which installed an updated usb driver) that doesn't even recognize my phone " no mobile device connected". tried uninstalling and reinstalling, but nothing. When putting the phone in download mode, to see if adb would rcognize it, windows sees this as a new device , installs drivers but says " device can not start, code 10 * in device manager. :silly:
is there anything that can be done?? google searches result in obvious solutions that SHOULD work but don't, or threads where a person coincidentally has the same exact problem as I do, but their response is usually the last response in the thread that goes unanswered
summary : I've install cm13 on my lg g4 h811, I do not have root access, I can not install twrp due to ( no fastboot mode) in effect, i cant install gapps, cant root phone etc..
any help?
did you ever unlock the phone....?
Yes, unlocking the phone is one of the first things you would need to do. In Developer Options > OEM Unlock. Then in bootloader, run the unlock command. This will delete /data and internal storage so back up your files so you can transfer them back via adb or fastboot.
Then you're probably going to need to temp boot TWRP, then flash the TWRP recovery image in TWRP. THEN you can flash properly.
Carefully read through this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g4/development/stock-h811-20i-images-kdz-flashable-t3308227
Good luck.
Edit: oh and this thread belongs in Q&A.
Alright. Am I only to read the first post or all 30+ pages? ( not that i have a problem, just curious)
Reeeeaaadd ittt alllll! Just kidding. The first post should be fine. You'll be looking at doing everything after flashing the kdz. If you think you've messed up your partitions, flash the kdz and start over.

"ARE YOU HAVING TROUBLE WITH LGUP NOT SEEING YOUR MOBILE?
Try this....... take the back off your mobile so you can get at the battery. Connect your mobile via USB. Start LGUP, if it does not see your phone DO NOT DISCONECT, DO NOT RESTART OR TURN OFF LGUP. Take out the battery and then put it back in.......let the phone restart on its own. LGUP should now see it."
didn't work, very frustrating. any clues? on windows 8.1 by the way. tried two computers. none can see this phone. I can connect the phone to the computer and see its storage, lg usb driver is installed
You probably need to reinstall the drivers. It might be the fastboot driver. That's what worked for me.
I've reinstalled the official drivers, uninstalled them... Jusst the mobile USB driver, a combo of both, plenty of times. Don't understand why this software doesn't see my phone
Lgup, lgair, lg bridge, lg USB driver (skinned down) .. Nothing works tested on my gaming rig., and work laptop both running win 8.1 64 bit

This section does get more views though haha.
Anyway I feel that the 811 is one of the more finicky devices to get into fastboot at least in my experience. I had to enable and disable dev options while plugging and unplugging device and it finally worked. No idea if that'll work for everyone though.
I reasked the question in Q and A. Please help some one.
You start over. LG bridge.
Having the same issue. I'm on Windows 10. What developer settings did you mess with to get it working, tiskewlio?
The issue i seem to be having is that when I put the device in download mode ( didnt know that is the same as fastboot) drivers attempt to install, "LGE MTP USB DEVICE" has a yellow exclamation mark with a code 10-device cannot start error message. I believe this the issue as any fastboot command stuff says " waiting for any device" . must not yet see the mtp driver .. Also noticed the bridge app immeditaley tries to pick up my device in download mode but fails due to this problem..
Any clues?

silly question maybe, but is there a specific tutorial in getting this to work with the files provided given my situation? (commands, etc..) will this somehow bypass the the lge mobile mtp device that wont install ? I had installed the system wide adb/fastboot drivers, and already had a folder with just the minimal install of the adb but didnt have a few files in the one you provided ( lg root, busy box, etc) so not quite sure what to do with them.
Again, if possible want to flash twrp recovery to my device but can't due to * waiting for any device* and the ( device cannot start ) error
Thanks
* waiting for device* when putting phone in download mode and pushing fastboot flash twrp-2.8.7.1-h811.img.
Any help would be appreciated as I need to get the driver to work first. see attached picture.
Cha h
the issue is largly resolved as i've been able to flash the recovery and install another rom. But i'd still like to know how to get the download mode driver properly working in the event i need a computer and can't do a self contained install.
Uninstall all drivers. Reboot computer. Reinstall latest drivers and LG bridge. Reboot. Then start your process. It'll work. Trust me. Find my posts in primes stock thread. I ran into this issue myself. And if you get an error after flashing where it won't mount /data, that's because it got corrupted. Once in twrp, format /data then reboot to recovery. All will be well to flash. Just a heads up since that was also a problem.

i dont know man, i did all that a million times over, but recently i was able to just flash the stock MM rom to the device using LGup. Think i'll just stick with stock rom and root for a while as all this stuff is a little finicky at times. Thanks for your help.

LG L Fino D290n makes error on boot.No download mode or recovery, please help!

Yesterday a LG L Fino was brought to me for repair. It makes an error on boot. The error is the boot certificate verify error.I cannot fix this!
I tried booting in recovery, gives me the boot screen, then the error, black screen.
I tried download mode,same.
I even tried flashing it,but LG Flash Tool does not recognize it.When i connect the phone a whole alphabet of drives would appear with LG Logos on them.I was able to only open one of them, the size was 64MB and it stored a image folder.Device manager recognizes the phone as QHSUSB_BULK and a ton of Unknown Devices would appear, after that they disappear and the phone will be recognized as LGE AndroidNet USB Serial Port(COM4).Thank you

Hey there
I have a LG L90 D410 (Similar Qualcomm Device)
And I faced the same issue after a bad flash.
Did you flash anything?
Does the LG logo show up?
Please answer the above questions so I would be able to solve your problem

Hello sir!
I have never flash the phone. The first problem that I have seen was after one restart, it won't boot the os, I have seen the LG logo and after that it keeps reboots again. I have entered in recovery mode and wipe all data, but it didn't help. After that I started to see the message above(error) and that's all. My battery is completely empty and cannot charge it because the phone doesn't charge.

Hey there did you use advanced wipe to clear your data or was it factory reset.
If the LG Logo shows up and then the error comes then you can enter download mode by switching off the phone and then hold volume up key and at the same time insert a usb. You would enter download mode. If you enter the mode you can flash a KDZ

Or If you want custom rom only, enter into recovery mode.
Then click wipe and then advanced wipe.
Check data
Check System
Check Dalvik/art
Check Cache.
And then Press install and download the suitable rom for you phone.
If you cannot resolve the problem contact me again

No, they didn't use advanced wipe because they don't have a custom recovery installed. If you read their post more carefully, you'll see where they said that they never flashed the device, this means they have stock recovery, not custom recovery. None of what you posted helps them.

Hey there thank for informing me.
He can still enter into download mode and flash kdz using flash tool
Custom Rom cannot be flashed
But a stock rom can be flashed and can be fixed.
Its a soft brick so he can surely flash a stock rom and recover his phone :fingers-crossed:\
When you try to charge your phone it doesn't show the charging status
But when you completely drain your battery to 0% it will show 0% and shows charging and you can confirm that it is charging

Did you try to flash a stock update using TWRP?
If so, that is the problem. Stock updates can't be applied to a rooted device or a device that has TWRP installed, any one or both of these will interfere with applying the update. You can only apply stock updates to devices that have an unmodified system partition(no root, no Xposed) and have stock recovery, stock recovery is required for applying stock updates.
If this is what you did, your only option to fix this is to flash your full stock firmware. Do a Google search for:
"Return to stock (your model number)"
If the tools and files exist for your device, that should find it.
