Bricked? Fastboot Locked - Motorola Atrix HD

Bell Atrix HD
jb4.1.2
I just unlocked the bootloader.
I was going to get Cyanogen on it but as I tried flashing with RSD Lite, my phone rebooted and said:
device is LOCKED Status Code:0
Transfer mode
USB connected
Fastboot Reason: Flash Failure
I cant get out of the fastboot, cant select recovery.
does not show up on ADB devices.
shows up in Windows Device Manager as Fastboot QINARA S
What would you do?
I doubt anyone will do this but try to get it into the actual recovery mode... vol ^ + PWR
then reset it.
if not... im pretty sure it is bricked.
Spent too long trying to figure it out... since its locked on boot, it wont even charge and battery is dead now, when plugged in it will turn on briefly and die in an endless loop.

Well, from the way thats worded, you flashed CM12 via RSD, which is a wtf move for any non stock ROM. You probably need a factory cable to get it to charge.

ITS GOOD! I got it charged enough, left it in its fastboot and reflashed the bootloader and system files.
Now its back to stock.
But there is just no way to get it rooted in 4.1.2
I have the samba server setup but i cant get the phone to load the remote folder onto the rfs0 folder. or whatever folder the remote file should be under.

Brick when trying recovery

Hello,
I am totally new in this forum. I got my HTC Vivid one month ago. Today, I wanted to root it. However, it was off and never back, no LED when plugging via USB.
I unlocked BootLoader according to HTC's instruction.
Update HBoot with PH39IMG.zip
Create recovery Nandroid with VIVID_CWM_ROOT_VER2.zip
During the process flashing a Kernel in this forum, I type:
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot
It rebooted and I stuck in a boot loop (HTC logo just appeared again and again)
I did a Return to stock (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1416836). But I only succeeded in first step (fastboot oem lock).
I stuck in bootloader loop. The phone just response in bootloader forever.
I did recovery from Nandroid. It performed restore but not work.
Neither did with the factory reset.
I tried with another PH39IMG.zip (~35 MBs), it worked. I got my phone back.
After that, I wanted to recover since I can't connect to wifi.
Start recovery in bootloader, the phone was just dead. The PC recognized a connection (HSUSB). I download the driver (Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008
) but no effect.
I think my phone is bricked.
I will appreciate if anyone can help.

did u update hboot with an unlocked bootloader...thats no good
are u still can access Hboot?
sometimes, u should flash a kernel with ROM to work on it. if you still running Stock ROM, don;t flash MOD kernel like Holiraider. it will couse boot loop.
if u still able to access HBOTT, no need to worry.
@meatwad0222: I unlocked bootloader and updated hboot. It succeeded in rooting the phone. I got problem when I tried to flash a kernel.
@prahasta: I can't do anything. The phone never turned on again, even if I plugged the charger, the LED was not on. Pressing power button with volume down did not work at all. In general, I can't access to hboot.
Hm... It will be difficult.. hope it wasn't couse by hardware.

I had a similar problem..I unlocked bootloader.and flashed a new ROM. I was then stuck in boot loop..it would go all the way to the screen where it says "upgrading android" and would then reboot...the solution I found was to extract the boot image and flash it...then it rebooted normally with new ROM. Hope this helps...

if Bootloop, at least u still can access HBoot, but he can't do that.
try to connect it to PC with Full Battery. then check if your PC still detect it. if PC can detect it, try to flash Official RUU.
My laptop does not recognized it. It said that it can't find a driver for that. I searched in xda-forum and I found the driver. Right now, in the device manager of my laptop, it says Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008. I tried to flash an office RUU but it stopped at <waiting for device>
Thank for your replies.
good to hear your laptop still detect the phone.
u need to pick right RUU for your device.
used Hanson tools, choose to unlock your bootloader again (hope this work). after unlock bootloader, and u can acces HBOOT, choose fastboot mode then instal CMW/WCXs recovery. once done, try to access CWM. if u can acces CWM recovery, there is no worries anymore, u just need to instal correct ROM and Kernel.
My laptop only detects the phone as a Qualcomm chip, not as a phone. When running Hasooon tool, it stops at <waiting for device>.
Sounds like it's in dload mode.
If your phone is in dload mode then I think that is a soft brick...it is fixable, from what I read on another thread, but is more difficult...but not impossible..I had to download HTC drivers for my laptop...the following 2 sites contain the files.

I talked to HTC customer service for repairing. After everything was set up, I thought that I lost my warranty since I rooted my phone (in HBoot, it said RE-LOCK"). I will give a try with the "wire trick" in the thread "Juopunutbear S-OFF". Hopefully after wire those holes, I can access to the debug mode and "wake up" my phone. Otherwise, I have to spend $5 more to buy those warranty stickers on eBay and have the phone fixed.
I thought that it would be a jtag, but it was not. I did not succeed. I have to send it to HTC for repair.
I think I know the reason caused my problem. I tried to recover why I was on S-ON. Thus, the firmware will "fight" each other and the hardware will not know what it should do. The result is a software-bricked phone.

Someone please help i think i bricked idk

Face palm man. You need an unlocked bootloader for that rom says so in the info so you clearly didn't follow directions like you said to such as using cwm not safestrap. This is why we must read before acting hastily. You may be able to use rsd to flash stock but don't count on it.

I can only tell the phone is on when i plug to computer and rsdlite sees the device, but fails to flash anything because it is not in the fastboot mode...
do you know how i can figure this out?

Yeah i unlocked the bootloader before. so it seems like useless for my case. Plus i cant even boot into fastboot mode, how am i gonna install it lol
And as I said before; the problem is i cant get in to any bootloader or fastboot or anything. I can only tell the phone is on when i plug to computer and rsdlite sees the device, but fails to flash anything because it is not in the fastboot mode.
I tried both methods but they both fail where the phone need to be in fastboot mode, which is apparently not happening...

Damn, seems like those are the only two methods that could work.
The good thing is that you can't re-lock the bootloader.
You might want to send a PM to skeevy to see if he can help.
Is there any warranty left on your phone? I've seen posts where people were able to go back to AT&T to exchange the phone or send it in for repair.

When you plug in the phone to charge do you see at least the boot logo?
may need to connect pins 1 & 4 together in micro usb charger port to phone within the plug itself and it will charge.

I feel like it's causing more problems than it's solving with new people that try to flash their phones, they see light at the end of the tunnel and assume it's the exit, when in fact it's a dadgum train.

I research on that i guess fasboot cable is connecting the pins 1 & 4 together in micro usb cable. I tried that too, however result is the same.
doesnt work.
That was my last hope (fastboot cable), so i even try other combinations connecting different pins together, but it didnt work too )))
I have a beautiful brick as you guys can understand.
I am thinking to order a broken lcd atrix hd online and replace the boards right now. Do you guys think it is logical?
or like replacing the storage with a used one.
I dont know what else to do, out of ideas
I am aware I haven't replied in a while, my atrix had a hardware issue, but I got a nexus 10!! Anyways, when plugging the phone in does the LED light up green?

Bricked Razr M

Hi, all. A friend gave me his son's RAZR M (Verizon, US) phone which he totally bricked. I've tried to reinstall a recovery partition, etc. using Motofail2go and Motopocalypse, to no avail. since you can get into fastboot your should be able to salvage this. Can you get into stock recovery to verify if your rooted or not? what is happening when you try to run Motopocalypse to unlock the boot loader? Have you tried using Matts utility http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2249773 to do all this work for you?
I had a similar error when I tried to downgrade my Electrify M by RSD'ing an early version of software. (I found out later its not possible to RSD "down") Anyhow, I was able to get rid of the "flash error" by flashing a new boot image. This "tricks" the bootloader into thinking all is fine. There's some info on flashing boot images here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2340764
As for Motopocalypse / MotoChopper etc., they need to be ran from a "booted" phone. If all else fails, RSD back to stock.

You Dont Need USB Debugging To Be On To Do AP Fastboot, Device is LOCKED. Status Code: 0 Means That The Bootloader Is Still Locked.
Also Try To Use A Droid RAZR Utility.

Moto X powers off when USB plugged in

Lets me start by saying I know exactly how to use ADB and fastboot.
So I installed the ATT 4.4 Leak update using fastboot flasing system.img and boot.img. I read that there was an OTA update so of course I rushed to see if I could get the prompt and install the update. Charged my phone up to 25% and continued with the install, I got stuck in an infinite reboot... now I can access the fastboot menu but as soon as I plug in a usb cable either to my PC or my wall charger the phone powers down and re enters the reboot cycle.
I can also get the phone to boot up by going to the "factory" option in the fastboot menu this gets me booted up into 4.4 with an unsuccessful update prompt and no cellular service but with wifi available.
anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
I woukd rsd lite back to factory. U shud be OK because ur bootloader wasn't updated

I am not positive that a factory reset deletes your pictures.
That said I wouldn't risk it since I am not positive.
You should be able to pull your files via adb/fastboot.
Then after you have copied it all do a factory reset or simply flash a stock ROM.
Edit: from adb
You can try:
Adb pull /sdcard/dcim

how do i enable adb/fastboot from stock recovery? its been a couple years since i had an m7. iirc there was an option after you flashed a custom bootloader or something. i dont see the option now in recovery or boot
Fast boot is boot loader mode. But apparently you can't pull from there.
Try booting the device,
Then try plugging it in and typing
Adb devices and see if your device responds
If it does you can simply use the adb pull command
This assumes you have adb installed and ready on your system.
I think it is included with android SDK and there are tutorials out there.
