[Q] Low results on AnTuTu Benchmark - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6

Today I got the s6 edge and I just ran the AnTuTu Benchmark but I am getting 46000 on 4 bit mode and 41000 on 32 bit.
What could be happening??
Do I need to disable at&t blow are to get full performance?? If so. What apps are safe to disable
??

Ok I finally decided to disable a lot of at&t trash and some Google Apps that I never use like Google music and Google+ including many others. And then restarted the phone and ran AnTuTu and I got 61000 aprox. Maybe I could get more but I already installed my backed up apps like Facebook Dropbox and a lot of stuff (more than 100 apps according to Google play)
So I will leave this here if someone goes thru the same problem. Thanks.

I ran it and got 67689 and i have Google music and G+ enabled still with lots of apps installed

If we could root it and remove all the pre-installed crap, the phone would 1000x faster.

[Q] Low antutu scores

Hi everyone. I had a first batch z1 before. Antutu consistently 35k on stock rom. Lost it and I bought my 2nd z1 yesterday. Came with .532. Antutu was 32k. Updated to newest 4.3. Antutu still 32k. I know benchmarks aren't everything. I only need to know if it has any defective hardware or anything to worry about? Device doesn't feel as snappy as my older one even though very few apps installed. Thanks for any advice.
When my device's in .532, my score was around 30k. I think your score is better than it should be. Try to upgrade your firmware to .209, and see if there's any difference(s).
When I saw this thread, I installed Antutu and tested my device, I got 34k.
EDIT: I'm on android 4.2 (14.1.G.2.257)
Regards,
~J2C
Just tested on .257: first score was 28k. Then 34k
On 209, it's back to 32-33k.
This phone can play any game on max settings. What purpose does the benchmark score serve if you know this for sure? Bitcoin mining or something?
Sent from my C6903 using Tapatalk
just did it on original 4.3 and got 34269 on antutu
when i first started benchmark it was about 29K i think its because i was running cpu intensive apps and bittorrent in the background. After closing all apps and multiple reboots i got around 35k consistently, then after normal use i got around 34-35k i also found that Force GPU rendering increases score at high 34k and average 35k and that Force 4x MSAA decreases it significantly to about 32k-33k. To be honest I think it depends on how many apps are running in the background, if you have lots of apps especially social apps running in background then expect lower scores. I would recommend reboot of phone then do test while phone is settled. Also task managers have a history of slowing down phones GET RID OF THOSE! Android is perfectly capable of handling processes all by itself, make sure that "Don't keep Activities" is uncheck and "Background process limit" is set to "Standard limit", those options can be found in the Developer options in the list.

42k antutu after removing Samsung apps.

Hi in not sure what's going on but after I removed all Samsung apps including S health and voice my phone is super snap and fast as hell also I went from 32k - 34k on antutu to 41895.
Is this normal and I just found out?
Even Facebook takes half the time to load than before and some shatter in San andreas gta is removed. Also I get the highest gpu score in antutu that exists even by phones with almost 43k antutu.
I hope I didn't meshed up anything and my phone dies... But what damage could I have done by just removing apps and services?
Good thing is I have them all at the app master recycle bin.
I think you updated to Antutu 5 the scores are different from the previous version 4 that is why.

You are right I thought that I did something and I might burn my phone.
At least removing all those apps it is very fast.

Just freeze the apps/widgets you don`t need with Titanium Backup or use the debloat script from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s5/development/mod-smart-debloater-t2802034. Make a nandroid backup first though.

ok I will make a list of all the apps,I used app master to uninstall them, but I used the recycle bin so I can reinstall them if needed.
you will notice a huge smoothness and fast response.

Ok so here it is, first I uninstalled all the google apps except play store and YouTube because I don't use anything else.
And klms agent,s voice, Knox Dar, Knox notification manager, Knox, baby cry detection, Knox setup wizard client,s health service,s health, ant hall service, ant+ plugin service, ant radio service,s finder, Samsung convert to speech mechanism, geo news, my magazine, Samsung apps, chat on, flip board, google music, google search, Polaris office, hang outs,g mail , play games, drive, google convert to text, google+, kids operation and google play movies.
That's allot haha but after some time a find out that I don't use them.
Touchwizz is good but so slow next to pac rom ^^
Look my screenshots, just scored 45 000.
That's great! but does the Pac rom do any kind of overclock or it does better management?
I set my CPU frequency at 2764 Ghz so it's overclocked. Same for my GPU. It's an aosp rom, I think the better smoothness is due to small use of background apk's.
More ram, OC and KT kernel can justify that score but it work so great, without OC too.. I think TW debloated and PAC (who need optimize again) are now similar

Hi,
Thanks for the list, indeed it's quite a lot. But if you don't use em and they work. Why not?
I see a difference in speed after removing some of the apps. I can't remove all the apps from Google because I use them for my personal and business life. But with Samsung Apps gone it is a full difference..
Thanks!
yes it makes a difference because Samsung apps always run in the background even if you don't see them, and if you install tiraniun to freeze them you still have titanium to run and keep them stopped.
now the phone is faster.

I have most of the samsung aps installed on my phone and i am getting speeds that average between 40,000 and 42600 in Antutu. My kernel is Ktnoonz and I do not over clock - I don't think the samsung apps have had any impact on benchmarks scores for me - maybe they do for you - but it hasn't effected my phone's performace at all as far as I can tell...
it's not that much for the antutu since we mention before that it's probably the switch from 4 to 5 antutu but it's the speed increase and performance in real life use.
Im getting 43.500 with all samsung apps. (exynos octa)
I'm getting over 44000 with cm11...
Please why don't you buy a 2009 Nokia stead?

Honor 5c - RAM problem

I have my phone for about 3 months (i think) and it was working perfectly. Smooth, without any problems. I was using it for some small games (CoC) and social media (Snapchat, YouTube, Facebook). Well, it WAS working perfectly. Everytime I was clearing RAM (closing apps) it was showing that about 800-950MB of RAM were free. Now, after updating to Android 7.0 it changed. It shows about 300-400MB of RAM is free (without any app opened). I am also lagging as hell (specially in Snapchat - it freezes almost completly). I was trying to clear it anyway possoble, uninstalling apps, using stock File Manager trying to optimize system. It didn't worked.... Does anyone has similar problem and/or has some solution? Thanks...
(My first post here, don't kill me if I made some mistake, and also don't judge my English. I am from Poland )
tbh, for me android i did opposite. more ram free and 5% increase in antutu score.

More free RAM doesn't mean more performance. It's a bad habit to clear your RAM. Apps that killed will just come back and more hungry for RAM. Continuously doing this will put strain in the CPU and thus, will drain more battery.
Sent from my Honor 8 using XDA Labs
I recommend uninstalling bloatware and keep minimal number of apps . This will save more ram and more juice . Dont use any task killers as they are themselves battery havvoks

RAM BOOST - demystified

We know what ram boost does, prefetches apps, leaves them in memory, but does it LEARN?
In the /etc directory there is a ramboost.xml
I'm not sure what the hot counts are
But these are the apps that get pre loaded
Also
Ram boost prefetches in /data/system which shows its actually learning so there you go!
Thanks. I've always suspected it doing anything does it increase battery life by any chance if you turn it off ?

I have not tried this yet
But it keeps track of the following
Amount of times you have opened your apps
Most accessed files (i.e not only apps but also the files they access)
The database is fairly extensive, I don't see how it wouldn't use some battery - but to what extent I don't know.
My ramboost.xml has a bunch of random apps I've never used in it, many from Tencent too. Odd considering none of the apps, except for PUBG, are installed. They all seem to be games too.

That's true. I got a little curious and opened ramboost file. It's just loaded with games like pubg and other tencent games. Total BS and no normal apps were found . I guess ram boost is for games only

Question My Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ performs really bad.

Hello, I just bought myself a Samsung Galaxy Tab s8+ a few days ago. I tested genshin impact on it and gets really underwhelming performance (high sub 30 fps with bad frame pacing, and low reaching only 40 fps)
I then try to test with 3dmark and I got this score on the screenshot below. Am I scammed or something? I bought this from official retailers. Any help would be appreaciated.

Yes it should be better. i heard they under-clocked the tab cuz there'd no vertical room for a heat sink. maybe something with that ?

I think it's a problem with my unit specifically. I tried doing a 3dmark test with other demo unit in stores and it gets 8000+ scores. I'm not sure if my unit has problem hardware/software-wise
I WANT to believe it's because i still didn't flashed a newer firmware (it's on some from november 2021, 3 months before official release - it even got the s7 stock wallpapers), so it's driver related. But yeah, mine is lacking in horsepower also. It skipped some of the antutu's bench tests, while Geekbench gave it 1250 single core to 2400 multicore. Every single test i put it through (benchs, device validation etc) says it is an sm-x806, though.
One other thing is also the ram pool it has. Mine's only 6,9 available (1,2 reserved for something), android system using up to 5,5 all the time. So, actually i have less ram in it than in my s21 (up to 3gb), wich is on latest update available.
Does the app SD Maid help ? I am a minority user in that I am rooted and so I get the tricks of SD Maid Pro. Sadly, now I am a freezing maniac ! In GeekBench 5, I got a score of : 1223 and 3443. I am on Android 13 now.
( on Amazon, I got the 906N )
Another way to get the tablet to run better is to remove bloatware. Below is a list I came across on the web.

I got about the same score from Antutu and Geekbench. Also has around 3-4 gigs of ram available at any given time with no apps running. My model is SM-X806B.
I've been thinking if it's driver related but I'm not sure what to do. Also thinking about Overclocking it but it's brand new and I don't want to get it rooted yet. It's really frustating how low the performance is set by Samsung. I was expecting some beast of a tablet but this sucks.

Just an update:
I finnaly grow a pair and did the update. Too expensive to be ****ing around. Glad my country is part of yhe OXM code, so it disnt break anything when i changed from EUX to ZTO, even though it remain as EUX.
Performance had a great jump. TAB rarely display stutters, even on power saving settings. Before then, it was choppy as f. Memory pool also has widen, as up to 4gb to use. Benchs, though realtime experience had significantly improve during tests, did not improve that much on numbers. Antutu gave me 650000, while geekbench gave 1210/2860, still below the average. Could be because I live in Brazil, and they must have concerns about temperature.
All of the errors I was dealing with also got resolved. No more red flashing borders when upside down, no more update errors, nomore sudden crash/glyphs when playing games.
No cooling solution whatsoever.
Thermal MOD (hardware) Galaxy TAB S8 Ultra
This might not be useful for many, but if anyone wondered why their TAB performs "bad" under heavy usage (gaming, benchmarks, etc...) S8 series (all of them) have almost next to none existent "cooling" solution. Here is the S8 Ultra for example...

Game booster, game launcher, game optimization services have to be uninstalled/disabled with adb Commands. From what I found you need uninstall game booster, game launcher and game tools with adb then disable game optimization services with adb then it will stay disabled even after reboot but try check just search game booster or game launcher in settings and if nothing pops up then it's uninstall or to can go to system apps and look for game optimization services and see if it says disabled.

To re-enable Samsung Game Services on a Samsung Galaxy Tab S8, you can follow these steps:
Open the Samsung Galaxy Store app on your Galaxy Tab S8.
Search for "Game Launcher" in the search bar.
Find and select "Game Launcher" from the search results.
If the Game Launcher app is already installed, tap on "Open" to launch it. If it is not installed, tap on "Install" to download and install it.
Once Game Launcher is open, tap on the three vertical dots (More options) in the top right corner of the screen.
From the drop-down menu, select "Settings".
In the Game Launcher settings, look for the option "Samsung Game Services" or "Enable Game Services" and toggle it to the "On" position.
If prompted, follow any additional on-screen instructions to complete the process.
I did a factory reset to re enable Game services and the game I play is playing better now. I'm running galaxy app booster 1-2 times a week and wiping cache partition and repair apps 1-2 times a month. I also am using thermal guardian set to max(slider all the way to the right) with all additional settings off. In game booster make sure auto manage performance is off and I'm using the labs setting for alternate game performance. In device settings I have all additional settings off and disabled or put to deep sleep stuff like Bixby, are doodle , etc. I also have ram plus off
