MultiSystem is a powerful tool and can perform potentially dangerous and/or destructive operations on your device and data that may affect your life. While it is unlikely to do irreversable damage to your device, it is not impossible, and you should proceed with caution. Loss of data and/or the need to re-flash a full stock (manufacturer-supplied) firmware IMGs (usually requiring a computer) is always a possibility, and is increasingly likely if you do not know what you are doing. It is possible to lose root access when using MultiSystem on locked-bootloader devices running unexpoitable (bu rooted) Android firmware, without careful reading of documentation or following the instructions. Please consult with expert users before performing actions you do not comprehend.

It's in the instructions when you go to the Q/A section.

Cool. I'll try this as soon as a rom that I really want to try comes along.

Simple One-Click Installation
I've fixed the installation script by setting the required symlinks (this makes it a very simple one-click installation for future versions), but I'll keep it a bit complicated for everyone to go through the Q&A thread (posts #1-6) to learn more before being able to use it.
On a side Note, I'd recommend to backup your data via TitaniumBackup & only wipe system data before rebooting to a completely different ROM.
Good luck!

Any chance you can get this working for the S6 so we can install a custom ROM? We now have root.

You can use FlashFire? I could work on it by storing virtual ROMs on the internal storage, but this has drawbacks; for instance:
Factory Reset = complete loss
Loop devices on vFAT are less powerful compared to EXT4
...
This can be resolved if we could make a separate partition for MultiSystem, but I'm not sure if it'd work & I don't own that device.
If FlashFire works, it'll be a better solution for flashing regardless the MultiROM option. That's why I hate Samsung decision of removing microSD slot & I hope they won't ruin the Note line.

[ROM] AOSP 5.1.1 for Galaxy Grand Duos (I9082/I9082L) (Update 20151010) 2SIM

This is a build of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) based on Android 5.1.1 for people who prepare pure Android without the extra feature of CyanogenMod or other ROMs.
Note that I do not intend to update this ROM often. The focus is on CM 12.1. For this ROM, I may release updates when new AOSP releases come out, but new features (not present in AOSP) will not be added and some bugs may not be fixed.
Code:
#include
/*
* Your warranty is now void.
*
* I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
* thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
* do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
* before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
* you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.
*/
Device-specific source code for the Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos are available from https://github.com/pawitp/android_device_samsung_i9082/tree/aosp-5.1 and https://github.com/pawitp/android_kernel_samsung_i9082/tree/aosp-5.1.
Compatibility patches are included in the device repository in the "PATCHES" folder. (Please give credit if you use them in your ROM and if you fix something, please submit patches.)
Downloads
ROM: https://basketbuild.com/devs/pawitp/i9082_aosp5.1/
Google Apps: http://d-h.st/users/dhacker29/?fld_id=27426 (use the ones marked "lpmr1")
What works?
Wi-Fi
RIL (Calls, SMS, Mobile Data)
Dual SIM
Sensors (Accelerometer, Compass, Light, Proximity, etc.)
Camera
Video (playback & recording)
Audio (playback & recording)
GPS
Everything else not listed under "known issues"
Known Issues
FM Radio does not work
Sometimes wake up causes music stutter
Unable to un-pin screen without rebooting
Does not work on 4.1 stock ROM's bootloader, please upgrade to stock 4.2 before flashing
Additionally, Dual SIM has the following limitations:
Both SIMs are always enabled (no way to disable one SIM)
"Receive incoming call while data is enabled" is always enabled
Installation
Make a backup!
If you were on CM 10.1 or a stock ROM prior to 4.2, upgrade to stock 4.2 first.
Install ClockworkMod recovery with SELinux support (.tar) (.zip). Older CWM will result in a "status 7" error.
Reboot into recovery
Wipe data if coming from stock or other ROMs (You may get a "status 7" error if you fail to wipe.)
Install the ROM
Optionally install the Google Apps Addon
To upgrade to a newer build, simply flash the zip. You also need to flash Google Apps and other addons again because addon.d support is not included in this ROM.
Changelog
20151010: Update to android-5.1.1_r22
20150828: Update to android-5.1.1_r12 (note: r12 is basically similar to r13, except they were released for different Nexus devices. I've based this on r12 so that upgrade from r5 works fine)
20150705: Update to android-5.1.1_r6 (note: requires wipe if upgrading from 20150626. For some reason, not all of android-5.1.1_r6 is newer than android-5.1.1_r5)
20150626: Update to android-5.1.1_r5
20150422: Update to android-5.1.1_r1
20150414: Update to android-5.1.0_r5
20150326: Update to android-5.1.0_r3, reduce backlight timeout to 2 seconds
20150315: Fix GPS status, bluetooth, Wi-Fi AP, crash when dialing from Contacts app
20150314: Initial release based on android-5.1.0_r1
FAQ
Can you include the "ask first" option for sending messages?
The "ask first" option is not available in AOSP. However, you can select the SIM when you send the message if you use Google's Messenger app.
Sometimes the people on the other side of the call cannot hear me
The real cause of this is unknown, but this is often found with people using the I9082DDUBNB1 baseband/modem. Some people have reported that flashing a different baseband (e.g. I9082XXUBMK3) has resolved the problem. A collection of basebands can be found at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2496989. Or you can also try I9082LUBUBMK1 that I use.
How do I enable/disable Dual SIM?
Dual SIM support is enabled by default. If you only use 1 SIM and wants to disable Dual SIM support, you can use the following instruction:
Enable:
Code:
su
setprop persist.radio.multisim.config dsds
Disable:
Code:
su
setprop persist.radio.multisim.config none
(Instruction screenshots)
Battery Statistics shows that Wi-Fi is always on even though I've turned it off.
If you are using "scanning always available" in Advanced Wi-Fi Settings, then Wi-Fi will always be on to scan for available network to aid location discovery.
How do I enable root?
Root need to be flashed manually.
I'm having battery issues
Read http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...galaxy-grand-duos-i9082-t2942255/post57836573
After installing, my storage was reduced from 8 GB to 4 GB
You only have 4 GB for user data in the first place. The other 4 GB is used by system files. This is the same with stock as well. However, stock might have displayed it as "8 GB with 4 GB used by system files", but AOSP-based ROMs will only display the space available for user data.
Can you include Feature X into your ROM?
No. This ROM will have AOSP's feature set.
Can you include S-Note/S-Planner/MultiWindow/Insert Samsung App Here?
No. This is an AOSP ROM and cannot have TouchWiz applications.
Can you include call recording?
No.
What kernel does this ROM use?
A slightly modified version of the stock kernel, the source code is linked above.
I've heard that Broadcom doesn't release source, how can you make this ROM?
Contrary to the popular belief, userspace driver source code is not always required to make an AOSP-based ROM as long as the proprietary binaries shipped with the device does not modify the API too heavily (or is from a very different version of Android). Instead of modifying the source code of the drivers, the Android source code was adapted to be able to use the proprietary binaries.
Can I use your ROM as a base?
http://source.android.com/source/licenses.html
Most of Android is licensed under the Apache License with other small parts licensed under other open-source licenses. Which means that you may modify and redistribute without asking for permission as long as the proper credits is given.
Can contacts be saved to phone/SIM?
No. It is not supported in AOSP-based ROMs.
Can I send files over Wi-Fi Direct?
Yes, but you must use third-party applications. The implementation provided on Samsung ROMs is not an open standard. AOSP/CM does not provide a native way to send files over Wi-Fi Direct.
Can I mirror your ROM?
You're free to, but I will not list it in this post.
Reporting Bugs
You may report bugs in this thread, note that I do not intend to update this ROM often and bug reports may be ignored. If you're looking for a ROM which is often updated, please use CyanogenMod.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.

Pawitp already write in op what's the difference "This is a build of the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) based on Android 5.1 for people who prepare pure Android without the extra feature of CyanogenMod or other ROMs"
Cyanogenmod is cm ROM which has extra features but aosp it's android original stock
@pawitp
If in 5.1 AOSP, bluetooth, calling, and hotspot is broken.
Will it be inherited too on CM12.1 when it comes out?

Just did the same thing!
Ok backed up everything from my sdcard. Since its a 64 GB and it only actually has 59.62 GB I partitioned a 44 gb FAT32 Primary partition for my things and a 15.62 GB EXT4 Primary Partition for multisystem, roms and backups. Which could even be too much but it could make it easier for me to test multiple roms I'm working on so I'll go with that.
I left TMS5 1.0 that I'm running as my main system. After fixing my sd card up and putting it back in my device I installed the multisystem.apk and installed multisystem. Flashed the multisystem.zip in flashfire and upon reboot the green light came on and selinux is set to permissive. Next was Create Virtual IMG. I did this and waited for the red led indicator to go away then set it as my primary virtual system image. Rebooted and clicked volume up as the green led indicator was up and it rebooted into the virtual rom I just made. I made sure by running the terminal command listed in the Q&A to see which one is mounted and it was loop0 as he said.
Great work man. Now time for the fun to begin! Thanks for this. About to test the new version of my rom and see if it works good with this.
Note to other users DO NOT FLASH TMS5 1.0 or AllianceROM that are in our forum. They point to the main system. I'll have to update the updater-scripts for these. I'll get to it soon enough. If you already are on this read the Q&A and make the adjustments yourself if you think you can or ask me and I will.

Works perfectly. I'll have to try again but flashing a rom on the virtual slot over the copied system didn't go so well. So I had to jump back on my stock slot.
I like that it keeps system data but there is a downside to this too. It would be nice if it didn't and it separated them between the slots. So when I suggest a full wipe for people to update or for me to test things if I wipe system I won't have to go back through the setup on the old system slot. This is rather annoying. I read that it used the same system data between them but I guess I didn't think it the whole way through. Some things need a good system wipe between updates. Anyway that you can change it to be setup separately?

Ok, it's at very early development stage, I'll consider this & more other features with updates.
Good luck!

Big NOTE: (Puns intended) There are OG Developer's Editions and Converted Retail Editions. OG's, including me, have an aged KitKat 4.4.4 unlocked bootloader and we need to use multi-system kernel that @hsbadr patched to fix the brightness issue that was present during the Lollipop upgrade. We are forever in his debt. Converted Retail Editions have a newer Lollipop 5.1.1 unlocked bootloader meaning they can try other Verizon specific kernels without the brightness issue (You might come across other issues trying other kernels so please state what kernel you're using if you experience an issue). I'm also believing that it is possible that converts can experience issues that OG's don't experience due to the difference in bootloaders, and vice versa. It would be nice to know your build, including xposed mods, if you experience any issues. Thanks!
Instructions:
1.) Make sure you are on a 5.1.1 modem.
(N910VVRU2BOK3) or (N910VVRU2BPA1)
2.) Download the ROM and Fix to your SD
3.) Download the DataFix to your SD
4.) Wipe /system /data /cache /dalvik-cache (/InternalStorage Optional, you will lose your files on the device)*
5.) Flash the ROM
6.) Flash Fix
7.) Flash the DataFix.
8.) Wipe Dalvik and Cache
9.) Reboot. (Will take about 10-15 mins to boot)
Do not log into Samsung account or Google account during initial setup..
10.) Navigate to Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Mode > Verify Network Mode is LTE/CDMA
11.) Enjoy!
*If you use the stock Samsung keyboard just change the language to English it is on Spanish by default*
*The Google Playstore needs to eventually update so if you run into issues with it, it is probably in the process of updating so give it some time to install. You will see the new Playstore splash screen when it is finished*
*Use kernel auditor at your own risk I experienced a crash with the OnDemand governor. I turned it off and had no issues since*
*Use xposed and flash any mods at your own risk*

Bugs:
Along with the bugs from the OP (No GearVR support) :
- *MMS does not work correctly on the stock Messaging app (group chats come in and send as individual messages, and unable to send picture messages)
**(Workaround: Use Textra as default messaging app, MMS works like it should)**
- Unable to perform a factory reset within the settings because you will get non-stop FC's once booted up. So make a TWRP backup after you go through a battery cycle.
- If you do not wipe internal storage any old Note 2 files in you SNote data folder will kill the SNote app. So remove them from that folder and you'll be able to use SNote.
- System update in settings force closes the Settings
- Simultaneous data works at 4G speeds when talking on the phone but it shows it as a 1X connection. (Must have a 4G connection to work)
- To get My Verizon to work:
1. Navigate to /system/priv_app and delete the VzwSilentSSOEngine folder.
2. Edit the system/buid.prop file. Change the model value to SM-N920V and save.
3. Reboot.
4. You need to log into My Verizon using your user name your number will not work
Thanks @stueycaster and @rayjr13
- Verizon Visual Voicemail does not work and may never work
- Screen mirroring may not work (Haven't tested)
- All apps on homescreen option does not work on stock launcher
- Ink in water lockscreen effect does not work
- If you change the model value in the build.prop to Verizon Note 4 model value (SM-N910V) it will break the theme store. Switch it back to SM-N920F or SM-N920V to get theme store working again.
- Google Play Movies does not work
- I have noticed that the hour of the current time may ghost behind whatever you have to right of the status bar. For me I have the center aligned clock so it is behind the stock battery. (Little eye sore but there's no fix at the moment). If you use 3mint battery there are some battery options that cover it.
- Show SFinder in the quick panel settings in custom Emotion app does not work and will force reboot your phone.
Read/search through the original OP thread for any non-Verizon specific issues first.

Awesome job man... is the battery life better with this than the Kyubi rom?
First off I wanna say I'm loving this ROM. Thank you VERY much. Just installed it about 2 hours ago and everything seems great. love all the customizations and it's a very nice change. The only thing so far is I can't send picture messages even with Textra. Any ideas? I'm on the multisystem kernel. Other than that I love it. Don't know about battery life yet but hopefully it'll be as good as Jasmine, my other favorite.

Does it also act that way in recovery?
What device and kernel are you running?
If it acts like that in recovery it's possible the kernel that was flashed to your device is not compatible.
Read this for the fix.

It sounded like that's what happened since glad it fixed it for you.
Not sure about this rom or what kernel will work, but you could always take a look at the custom MM kernels by @The Sickness.
Again, I'm no nothing about this rom or what may or may not work!
Note to OP,
if an EDGE boot.img is being installed by default you may want to either remove it or at least make note for flat users to be aware of this. If that's isn't the issue here then I apologize.
Always great to see more development here and more options for users is always better.

Okay I spoke too soon. The fix did not work.

Alright so I fixed the screen by Flashing the Twisted Rom and dialing *#2663#.
I don't recommend Tmobile 6S users flash this rom.

BTW don't leave negative comment my friend it was only kernel problem that you can fix by flashing kernel compatible to your device and it is in OP to to flash compatible kernel anyways all good
Cheers!!
Thread cleaned. So here is the deal. Knock it off and take it back to the playground.
Also anyone is able to leave comments negative or otherwise.
Now the next time someone wants to feel the need to jump to someones defense you will find yourself jumping on the ban wagon.

[ROM][N9100][6.0.1] Aurora Full Note7 Port

THIS THREAD IS EXCLUSIVELY FOR NOTE 4 DUOS N9100. PLEASE DON'T POST ROM LINKS FOR OTHER NOTE 4 MODELS
I'm not a developer and did not contribute to the development of any of these ROMs. All credits go to the Aurora Team, Norma Team and @lamlazy. The purpose of this thread is just to share these ROMs for the Note 4 N9100, since its not easy for all users to register and download Aurora or Norma ROMs from the original chinese site; Lamlazy ROM can be found in this forum.
I don't create fixes or kernels or anything like that because I lack the knowledge (I'm basically a noob) and, since this thread is about N9100, I would like to ask other models owners to refer to their own thread (otherwise the conversations become very confusing).
I install the zip thru recovery and everything seems to be working on my N9100 but there are no garanties and, if you choose to install any of these ROMs, you do it at your own risk.
The files in the download links below are untouched and the ROMs are multilanguage.
You should install stock 6.0.1 before flashing Aurora/Norma/Lamlazy 6.0.1 for the first time (check post #3 below for more info about how to install).

1. This means that the "translation" option of the Spen has some problem with permitions (I couldn't make it work so far);
2. Fingerprint scanner is not working;
3. Lock screen is fixed on "swipe" and can't be changed;
4. Wifi is working fine in my N9100;
5. GAPPS can be installed (have already installed opengapps in my N9100).
So there's no way for using this on a 910F?
I flashed it on T mobile N910T and used multi vitamin kernel it went well except WiFi has issues. I tried other kernel but the phone stucked at Samsung logo. I had issues with Security pin Lock.
Thank you very much .. Is it possible after installation of 6.0.1 Refer to 5.1.1 without causing problems in the network?
Not able to uninstall apps after updating note 7 port rom. mobile gets restarting. Any solution...

Maybe it was necessary first to flash the official firmware 6.0.1, but already on top of flash Aurora?
