It is official, I'm one of Carbons Core Devs, however the zip is named unofficial due to me not having changed it yet. (UNOFFICIAL is the standard zip name unless you change it, which I forgot to do)

No, I did use CM Kernel here, as I don't want to force everyone into using M5 Kernel and it's just 1 more zip to flash if wanted.
Sent from my Xperia Z3 using Tapatalk

Testing the Rom with m5 kernel runs like a charm so far,i will update for battery stats etc soon
Thx all features in one place :fingers-crossed:

Found a bug
Screen unpinning dosent work
and navigation bar colour/tint doesnt change

Looks ok for me now...

Not sure if it relates to the rom or something else.. I was trying to transfer some stuff from my sd card to my internals using my computer. Suddenly it failed half way and the next moment my entire sd card and internal memory got wiped.
Oh ya one more thing there is no option for me to safely unmount OTG storage.
EDIT: Hmm stupid qn but how do I change the wallpaper on my lockscreen? Don't see the option in lockscreen settings.

How to flash recovery through fastboot ?

Hi @Myself5
You are doing such a great job.
Bro could you Please Reply To My Query On MultiRom Thread I know this Not The right place to ask or remind
Regards

Great ROM! Though I don't think NFC is working.

Great rom ??? @Myself5 everything working just perfect ? & M5 V6.1 kernel
@thlinh130295 Take a look on this...???
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2999078
Sent from my Xperia Z2

Tested it out. Mostly looks and works great.
Major show-stopping bug: the navigation bar goes blank in landscape, and is useless. It returns in portrait.
I'll keep using Slim until that's fixed.

THX Myself5 for this nice rom ... :good:

At the moment, all works perfect. Kernel M5 and this rom. Thanks developer.

Thanks, I've been waiting for this as I have been using Carbon KK as a daily driver. I do notice two issues:
Xposed won't install the framework, am I missing something.
Bluetooth is a bit flaky. Last night bluetooth switched itself off and I had to reboot to get it back.
There does not seem to be a way to add a reboot to recovery option in the power meny (maybe I need to get Xposed to work).
Cheers,
Fred

Normal Xposed dont work. Try super alpha xposed (This is compatible for Android 5.1)
For recovery reboot in power menu, you must first enable in developer options.

My subsequent (to my post) reading of the xposed threads say that it is not working for 5.1 yet (I was just about to post an apology for not checking first). I will search for super alpha.
I will look for the reboot menu in the developer options, thanks.
I think my bluetooth issue could have been a bad pairing with my watch. I re-paired it and things seem to be better.

ROMS
ROMS should contain everything you need to enjoy KK. You are not required to install any Add Ons, simply download the latest ROM, gapps, flash it, and go!
You are STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing, and if possible avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup - these can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug. If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
* By flashing this, you automatically void your warranty!
* If your phone breaks, blows up or runs away from you, do not cry to us!
* Do not ask for ETAs!!

I checked YouTube review of this ROM, it was very perfect :good: but there was no lockscreen notification or pocket mode, and I can't live my life without this feature(this is the only feature that forces me not to flash Omni,CM,AOKP,Slim or this one ) so I simply can't flash it :crying: but anyway thanks for your work

So that means I can forget any AOSP/AOKP rom and there is no plan to implement that closed source blobs?
Would it be possible to find DNC in CM based ROMs?

AICPAndroid Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience strange behavior.
How to flash:
Don't do it if you don't know it
ROM has gapps persistance in between dirty flashes
KERNEL:
Kernel in this rom follows CM source with custom additions.
PREREQUISITE FOR OTA:
To be able to flash over OTA app, TWRP recovery is needed.
Check here for latest F2FS compatible recovery by @invisiblek: http://www.invisiblek.org/twrp/
You can still use CWM and OTA app, but only to download zip file and flash it manually from within recovery. Zip gets saved under AICP_ota folder on your internal SDcard.
If you want to contribute to the AICP or wanna see what is being worked on/merge feel free to visit our gerrit, link is at the bottom!!!

Wow... First Leedroid returns, then I see Lord Clockan in Leedroids thread, now I see Semdoc posting an official AICP thread. Takes me back to the good old HOX days...
If this keeps up there may not be any reason to get the M9 when it launches.
Nice to see AICP here.
Cheers,
ZM
can we fix the no service displaying on the lock screen?
Just finished getting set up. Everything running smooth and fast. Many thanks guys.
Thanks for the official thread!
Nice to see an official thread! I'm going to flash later tonight but I'm wondering about bluetooth. I've had massive bluetooth music streaming issues with other CM/AOSP based roms. Are you guys aware of if it is present on this rom? It's weird because I used to have it on 4.4 AOSP but never AOKP, which is why I always used AICP roms. It has persisted through Lollipop CM/AOSP. When I flash I'll report back on if I still encounter it on my end. Thanks for the hard work!
Has anyone found any easter eggs?
Flashed earlier and I'm encountering Bluetooth problems with media streaming. It connects but the audio still comes through the phones speakers. Common with CM/AOSP. Hopefully a fix comes down the line, I really want to get back on AICP.

do you have an unlocked bootloader and custom recovery. It yes, you can install this but would have to flash boot.img from zip file manually as you are s-on.

firstly, please do not call me sir..makes me feel old
boot.img is the kernel, it should be in the root of your zip file. extract it to a location. once you have flashed the zip file downloaded above you would need to boot your phone into fastboot mode and then connect it to a PC/Mac and flash the boot.img.
Make sure your PC has drivers for the One M8 installed.
more details and detailed instructions can be found here
here we do
M8 can flash kernels without pc even with s on at least that is what I was informed trwp can flash kernels straight from recovery there is a script built in that makes it possible.
Music playlist issue
hey @semdoc! first off, this is an awesome ROM! i'm having a blast with it!
i'm having a little bit of trouble. i have a music playlist that i put together and every time i reboot the phone (for whatever reason), the playlist is emptied. the name of the playlist is still there, but there are no song references inside. any ideas?
thanks much for the awesome ROM and the help! :good:
I am having a lot of trouble with themes. Not sure what the culprit is, like status bar, nav bar, the whole theme or what but they definitely work on other ROMs and when I apply it goes into and in stand reboot and sticks on the boot animation. I can only get in with safe mode and I tried uninstalling the themes. Applying separate parts like just the style, so on and so forth and boom. Every time. Any ideas?

Why none of my videos are playing and I can't use viper4android?
- Just change your selinux mode to permissive with the help of an app called selinux mode changer. Google it.
Install that app, then open it and tap on permissive to enable the permissive selinux mode. Also tick the box that shows you the notification when the selinux mode is changed.
That's it, now after every reboot selinux will be set to permissive and all those issues will be gone.

Validus ROM for the LG L90 (w7)
Source Code
Requires unlocked bootloader(D405/D410), twrp for install and full wipe.
ROM OS Version: 6.0.x Marshmallow
ROM Kernel: Linux 3.4.x
Based On: AOSPB (Similar to Slim)

FAQ:
Q Are you still going to support your other ROMs for the l90?
A Short answer: "yes", Long answer: "I have no reason not to, each one is an adventure of its own".
Q Does this ROM support Xposed?
A No, Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be disscused in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports while using it as Xposed can cause a lot of bugs.
Q Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A Use the version arm sdk 23.
Q Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A If I have one I will probably give it to you, don't ask for one though, it is very rude to do this.
Q Do I need to provide a log if I'm reporting a bug?
A If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a log.
Q I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A In TWRP, go into Advanced, then File Manager and navigate to /data/system/theme, and then delete the folder, you might also have to remove the app in /data/app, or /system/app.
Q Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A Yes, however make a nandroid first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs, also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q How do I get a logcat, and what type should I get, and more questions that can conviently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog

Thanks, and basically if you want a feature rich ROM with the cyanogen mod theme engine you would use this one, if you want substratum instead, you would use tesla, and if you want a very lightweight, but still very customizable ROM you would use liquid. Also when it comes to validus and Tesla there aren't any features that just bog down performance, however they're still very feature rich, liquid just takes the performance part even further by adding tons of optimizations and only a few essential features that users love. Also, Validus is my only ROM with key features from a popular ROM called dirty unicorns, so if you like DU, you'll probably like this. That's how my ROMs work anyway.

Thanks, I will test IR when I have time.. don't use it anyways but it is always nice to have everything working
But I have more important issue... headphones are not being detected at all... and phone calls go through loud speaker. I did clean flash with everything formatted even sdcard but no help...
I've thought a lot about this and I've decided to only release, and maintain builds on Google plus from now on. If you have any issues or questions, or just want to say something, just comment on the release post. I'm going to ask a mod to close the thread, All builds will be announced here: https://plus.google.com/108827106611656999802
