Introduction
SimplKernel is developed by SimplTeam. We originate from the Note4 and have a long story of success there. Our builds are known for being close to stock, yet full of useful features and enhancements. The aim is to provide maximum performance and maximum batterylife. No compromises.
Features
# Based on latest G920FXXU1AOE3
# Compiled with AARCH64-Android-4.8 toolchain - Kudos Google, this is one is awesome
# Replaced CPU_FREQ_RELATION_L with C for Interactive -> selects freq with min euclidean distance to target freq, should be more efficient

If you apply Interactive in Synapse, ALWAYS enable it for both clusters. Enabling it for only one will cause funny effects, perhaps even a solid chaos, batterydrain and other unpleasant things. You've been warned.

Does it support Edge? (e.g. G925I)
Or only regular S6, as indicated as on top of post #1?

Only the flat Galaxy S6. I reported the thread twice and asked for it being moved, but the similar phone name seems confusing and its still here. I' contact a mod via PM tonight. Sorry for the confusion. The other threads SimplKernel R4.1F has the same features, and even more patches

Not for me. I tried your kernel with CM11 nightly last night and sadly, d2wake is not working
On Carbon(CM11 based) doubletap2wake doesn't works with default kernel and still not working with Lightning kernel.
But anyway, thanks for your work @nikhil18 :good:
Thanks @nikhil18! This solved my sound stuttering bug
Could you explain to me what the intellidemand etc. intelli stuff governors are for? I never understood what they were for :$ All I know is that ondemand and interactive is a good governor and is not a battery hog unlike Performance.
EDIT [ADD ON]: I would like to thank you for this Kernel, my ROM is smoother than before and more consistent in terms of performance, even though it already is, I can feel that it is, and its not placebo.. Keep it up. Looks like Im gonna have to set up my 2nd bank account with paypal and start donating for awesome devs like you haha

Kernel works great
Kernel has been working smoothly for me on Carbon Rom. I don't have Bluetooth audio stuttering anymore but I do still get sound stuttering (bluetooth as well as through phone speaker) in Plants vs Zombies 2. This stuttering also occurred in the stock kernel so it might be an app optimisation problem. I've tried other governors and it doesn't seem to make a difference.
Thanks for the kernel mate.
About v7 on my ZR (CM11) :
- Impossible to undervolt (no tab on SetCPU)
- Very instable when overclocking. Phone freeze and reboot just after set max frequency.

Would a boot.img backup in this case suffice? I haven't flashed the kernel yet but a boot image backup would contain the old kernel as well. The question is mostly if there are any other modifications that are being done.

If you don't have the zip file, I would say, you could restore the boot and system partition from your backup, this should bring back the backuped kernel.

Kernel works great so far. No issues and performance feels good.
What's the best way to switch between SELinux permissive and enforcing on this kernel should one want to experiment with that? Some solutions don't seem to like KNOX but it should be disabled on the kernel, too, right? I'm still struggling to get Magisk Hide working so I'm feeling experimentative.

• Linaro v3.18/topic/OPPv2 branch merge.
• Improved storage performance and longevity by applying lazytime mount options.
- Similar to Dynamic Fsync, but operates at the file system level and has no risk of data loss.
• CPU/GPU UC & OC.
• Limit the maximum overclock range according to the device's ASV value (device yield) to prevent excessive overclocking.
• CPU/GPU/BUS voltage regulation.
• Ported GPU driver from Note-FE (r15p0) & Performance Tuning.
• Performance / balance / battery-separated DVFS user settings.
• Thunder Hotplug driver port.
• HMP tuning Interface.
• Detail charging circuit control allows faster charging.
• Added I/O Scheduler 'bfq, fifo, fiops, row, sio, maple, tripndroid, zen'.
• Enable Westwood tcp/ip congestion control (not default).
• LED FADE control.
• Qualcomm interactive (renamed cafactive) cpu governor porting @by arter97.
• Added battery-friendly impulse governor and more powerful ironactive (interactive in the Qualcomm 4.4 kernel) governor.
• Provides an add-on that maintains kernel settings on unrouted devices.
• Synapse: System Tweak add-on available.
• Synapse: Provides configuration profile separated by performance / battery / stability.
• Many other optimization applications.

The functions released by donation are designed to be independent of the kernel source code and are a utility concept. These functions are not required, and functions that do not exist in other kernels can be ignored.
I also respect the GPL license and do not mind it.

Perhaps? The reason they gave up is that EAS has already been overlooked as being included in the Linux-3.18.x kernel.
Adding new code over the existing EAS makes it easy to port.

CHANGELOGS & ADDITIONAL INFO
Because I will not be updating this thread regularly you can keep an eye out on the original kernel thread from beryllium for changelogs and more updated info.

Frequently Asked Questions: here
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Have a clean setup. (rom, boot.img & vendor)
2. Install magisk & reboot to rom.
3. Reboot to recovery (clean) flash the kernel & DON'T wipe dalvik/cache. (wiping cache will give bugs in MIUI and most likely give you the app open delay bug)
4. Power on the device and boot to android.
These steps only need to be repeated if you update your setup.

@thanas Had a reboot today and I have attached a log cat. I believe it was around 16:48. It may not have been kernel related but wanted to share with you in case it was. I was part of the testing guys on telegram. Hope it helps. Running havoc 2.7
Runs smooth
Flashed this kernel 10hrs ago with new xiaomi.eu 9.7.11 and had no issues so far.
Good work, keep it up and thank you for your effort.
Heres some Antutu and Geekbench scores.

thk !!! Best Kernel !!!
haha didnt expect this warm welcome. thank u guys, constantly improving. make sure to read the faq.
i will mention the most important things though.
if facebook opens slower than half a second dont ever wipe cache because there is an app open speed bug which makes apps open even slower than stock kernel, otherwise it is extremely fast.
never wipe cache for miui as well otherwise you face even more bugs.
dont use viper4audio because it makes scores suffer. neither use LKT nor lspeed because you will get bugs.
also evaluation thermals are not anymore on by default.
read the faq despite.
hope everyone enjoys. thanks
I experience charging disconnections.

Installed Zeetaa-Tweaks-Rebase-BETA.zip, Zeetaa-Tweaks-master.zip (with Zeetaa Tweaks-3 app) , looks working, but the phone speaker becomes mute (no sound). Disable ZeetaaTweaksApp in Magisk then the phone spekaer working again. Either select Masik Pulse Audio or not in the magisk module installation giving same issue (speaker mute). Using in pixel experience custom rom with Android 11 with LG V20. Any suggestions?

If about features, is it possible with this module to "enable" fast charging on Galaxy S10 when I use charger other than Samsung?
I notice that while using Baseus, Hama or any other charger no matter if 20W, 30W or more then it charges in range 500-1100 mAh... Of course same is about wireless charging (where I have 15W top model charger from Baseus) - it should anyway charge around 10W not 4-6W...
I am looking forward for answer, thanks
