[Q] Using titan recoveries with thea - Moto G 2014 LTE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
Is it possible to use titan recoveries with thea? Since the difference is just the LTE?
Seems like there is no way to root without using recoveries from this older model.

This should be in the Q&A/General section dude. Not the development section. But here you go: http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2015/general/rooting-moto-g-2015-lte-xt1078-t3086069

Flashing roms on sprint?

In the Sprint HTC One section for original android development there are very few roms and even fewer that are working properly. I see so many more roms and more functional roms in the main non-carrier specific original android development section. I've tried flashing the pacman rom and it did not work. I was wondering if it would be possible to somehow find a way to flash it or at the very least for someone to give me instructions on how to port it to my carrier (Sprint). Thank You.
As detailed in Q14 of the HTC One FAQ (in my signature), ROMs from the other One forums may not work on the Sprint variant. That's because Sprint is CDMA and the other variants are not - meaning they're not compatible.
EDIT - You can also view the following thread to see which ROMs are compatible - Tons of compatible ROMs over in International HTC One Forum
I'm not sure in regards to your question about porting so you'll need to wait for someone who will be able to answer that better

[Q] Question about the ROMs/kernels/etc in this forum

Will the ROMs posted in Android Development and Original Android Development work with any carrier or what? I have the Sprint version (M7wls) and I'm wondering if it'd be safe to flash some of the AOSP roms found here, or are they just for the international version of the phone or what. Thanks in advance for any help!
Read the specific threads, most ROMs have issues with the Sprint variant. Most of these ROMs are GSM friendly.

Why would you post a question in the dev form really.
Read rules before you post

Yeah, all the d802 aosp base Rom will work fine on your D805, some users tried the Stock base to, but try at your own risk.
i use roms d802 in my d805, i test, pac rom, cm 10.2, cm 11 and paranoid.
OP please read the stickies, as this does not belong in the Development Section, and the Forum Rules.
Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting do not go in the Development Section.

Using roms of HTC One forum on carrier unlocked Verizon model HTC One M7VZW

I have a sim unlocked Verizon HTC One which i have been using in India (Mumbai) for quite a long time now(it's dual-band CDMA/GSM). the phone is S-off and rooted from verizon htxc one forum. My question is whether could i flash other roms / kernels present in this forum on my device?
if yes should i flash some firmware in RUU before installing the ROM? Also which twrp recovery should i use verizon one or international one?

you can only use Recovery for the m7vzw >> http://techerrata.com/browse/twrp2/m7vzw
and you should only flash Roms that are posted here >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-htc-one/development
or

Does the AT&T s4 active have unlocked bootloader?

Ok so I see that there's aesop roms for this device, is this the AT&T version?
I know for the AT&T s4 you had to have a certain baseband or modem in order to install custom roms on it.
Is this the case for the S4 active AT&T version? or does it have an unlocked bootloader and ANY version you have you can root/install custom roms?

There are two versions of the Galaxy S4 Active: the U.S./AT&T version (model # SGH-i537) and the international version (model # SGH-i9295). The answer to your question depends entirely on which one you have. As far as I understand the international version has an unlocked bootloader and therefore is capable of running AOSP-based roms, custom recovery, etc.
HOWEVER. If you have the U.S. version i537 (and I suspect you do given you mention AT&T) your bootloader is locked and unfortunately there is nothing you, I, or the devs can do about it. You simply cannot flash AOSP ROMs or recoveries. There is still a way to root this phone and a piece of software called SafeStrap that acts like a custom recovery (nandroid backups, install zips, wipe data, etc.). You can run custom roms, but there's a huge catch: you have to keep the stock kernel and any rom has to be touchwiz-based.

Alright got it, thanks! I was just confused because I remember them announcing it was AT&T exclusive. I didn't know about the international one

Yes, you just need to flash the 4.4.2 modules afterwards.
