Has there been any T-Mobile OTA recently for the touch screen issue - T-Mobile LG G4

Has there been any updates on the T-Mobile variant similar to the ones Verizon, Sprint and AT&T got that seems to have helped with battery life and touch screen issues? For my work I've been out in the county side on a business trip with very limited internet and wireless signal so I haven't been able to keep up with news and I didn't see any threads about this in my search. Then again everything out here is taking forever to load (stuck on Edge mostly) so wouldn't be surprised if it just isn't showing up or something of that sort.

There was an OTA in June which made the software version H8110h which is the latest update....

[Q] 3G issues

I have serious 3G connectivity issue (using unlocked T-MO). Has an unofficial fix been released for this yet?
I read about Google basically giving up on the phone and I'm almost in the same boat. Touch screen goes crazy on me all the time and now I'm hearing my power button is doomed to fail?
Make sure your radio is updated i suppose,i get great 3g coverage but I'm on att and my power button is aok and I've had it since day 1
How do I update the radio?
And will get 3G if I took my unlocked phone to AT & T or what would I reduced to edge only?
Here's the latest radio--http://forum.cyanogenmod.com/files/category/2-nexus-one/ third one down. Flash thru recovery--back up first--assuming your rooted. You can brick your phone doing this, be careful. Not usually an issue now that the radios are in zip form. Just check md5. Not sure it will help. N1 signal strength sucks. I am about to start a thread on my issue with it.
If you have a TMobile phone, it won't work with 3g on AT&T. Different frequencies.

A big help is to avoid covering the back lower part of the phone since the antenna is located in the very bottom back. The signal is very sensitive to The hand.

[Q] 4G LTE Issue

Hello everyone,
I have an AT&T branded HTC One that I received about 2 weeks ago. I haven't noticed until yesterday and today, but I am having some issues with LTE and was hoping someone could help, or point me in the appropriate direction. =)
Basically, about 2-3 times per day I lose the ability to load any apps or web pages that rely on an internet connection until I reboot the device. I don't have this issue on WiFi, only when my phone is connected via LTE (possibly HSPA+, but not tested). I have full signal during these times, and have received text messages and phone calls during these times, but completely lose the ability to get online.
Does anyone have any ideas? Is anyone else experiencing something similar? Again, when I reboot the phone is flawless and works just as fast as it did before. It's very frustrating.
Device: HTC One 32GB (US AT&T Branded)
First part of serial: HT34GW
Android Version: 4.1.2
Software Number: 1.26.502.10 (No updates available)
Kernel Version: 3.4.10
This phone is completely stock, locked, not rooted, unmodified original android. I had an HTC One prior to having this phone that was rooted and was running an international ROM, I didn't experience this issue with that device, but it could be because I was running a later version of the phone's software.
Long story short, I don't want to flash a custom ROM, only to find out the phone is defective and have to return it to HTC. Plus, I've been waiting patiently for s-off anyways so I can have a pseudo-developer edition phone. So I'd rather not flash anything unless you guys think it's a must.
Thanks,
RPelham

Call up AT&T and see if they are having problems. It could be that. I am sure if there was a known problem with LTE on the One there would be a post about it on here. Did you try searching at all and seeing if anyone else is having problems. If you have only had the phone for a few weeks and are not unlocked/rooted bring it in and tell them to fix it for you.

I'm not sure what issue you're trying to convey. I've noticed that when I'm on a call, my LTE connection will disconnect and I will be left with only 4G/HSPA+. I've also noticed that it can take a few seconds to several minutes after the conculsion of a call before the LTE connection will be restored. I've noticed this on stock ROMs as well as custom ROMs. Are you saying that for a long period of time(until you reboot) after you take a call, you're not able to access the internet via cellular connection?
This seems to be a design intent by HTC on the device or AT&T as far as network connections go. This is likewise happening on my AT&T branded Samsung Galaxy S4(stock/not-stock). That in mind, I'm leaning towards this being an AT&T thing.

LTE does not support voice calls on most countries. What happens is that when you receive a call your connection would be downgraded to 3g speeds and upgraded back to LTE after you hang up. Search if AT&T supports Voice over LTE. My 2 cents say they don't support it.

I'll give ATT a call and see what they say, it's not that I have no LTE while on a call, it's that even when I'm off of a call, and my signal strength is good and it shows I have LTE, my internet stops functioning. I get connection errors from the browser and apps.

Note 8 keep dropping connection once a while. Cannot call, text, data.

Hi! Thanks for reading my problem.
I have a tmobile note 8 that I have successfully switched to verizon firmware according to the guide here. It got the verizon boot logo and bloatware just like vzw phone.
It work perfectly after the switch, 4g lte ,call or text all work.
But it will drop after a while of use. It can be a few hours or few minutes. I cannot receive call, cannot access internet, cannot make call...
If I restart it all will become working again for a while. Any recommendation how to fix it? Thanks again.
I have a note 8 (SM-N950F/DS) for about three weeks now. I am using FP on AT&T network. When I just got it, especially while I was moving in the car or train, it would lost the data connection quite often even though showing full bar signal. I had to put it on air plane mode then switched back to reconnect.
Then after 1-2 weeks of use, the issue went away. I don't know it was due to the latest update (I am on Dec security patch now) or some kind of the phone learning my travel pattern.

Interesting, My phone lost it while I m at work... not even moving
For the longest time I thought was alone here. VZ Wireless Note 8 user here. My signal also just drops out of no where. When I look at my screen the 4G LTE upload up arrow is the only one turning up and down. Sometimes this issue will go away on its own after a few minutes or longer. But, randomly out of nowhere this started to happen. Few weeks now and counting I'm guessing it has something to do with a update that I recently upgraded to. I never had this issue when I first had my phone.....
I also have the problem.. Also Verizon branded Note 8.
I see a global Android update coming to possibly address this
From Android Headlines (AH):
"New Android Update For Galaxy Note 8 Improves LTE Stability"
"The latest Android update for the Galaxy Note 8 was designed to improve the stability of the phablet’s 4G LTE functionality as it specifically addresses a bug that occasionally caused interruptions of such connections, as revealed by a changelog published by Samsung earlier this week. The update appears to be rolling out on a global level, with its distribution officially starting on Wednesday, 15 days after the Seoul-based phone maker launched the latest security patch for the same handset."
Starting this month..
Anyone with ideas how to resolve this in the meantime?
I am still having this problem after oreo update.. I don't think I want samsung anymore..
Ok guys those who have Verizon, go to settings, mobile settings and change network to cdma and reset your settings. Turn off the phone, pop the sim tray out, power up ur phone while sim is out and turn off the phone again, this time push ur sim card in and turn on your phone. It should solve the problem of signal being dropped. Good luck.

Carrier switch help! VZW to ATT

Hey all! Forgive my ignorance, it's been a long time since I've done anything with firmware on Android phones (since I flashed a custom ROM to my Motorola Droid X about 10 years ago, lol). I've been poring over these forums for a few hours now and trying to piece some information together, but I could really use a hand from some more experienced folks.
Here's my situation: I'm in the U.S. I own an AT&T SM-N950U, and a Verizon SM-N950U. The Verizon phone is no longer being used (since April of 2018). I accidentally dropped the AT&T phone and heavily damaged the screen/digitizer and chassis, and would like to go back to using the Verizon phone, but on AT&T's network. I swapped the AT&T SIM to the VZW phone, and I was surprised to see that after a reboot, the AT&T splash screen came up, and after a factory reset, acted just like a new AT&T phone. It will send and receive data, SMS, and phone calls. However, the phone is still running Oreo, and when I tried to update it through OTA or through Samsung Smart Switch, it said that the phone was up to date. A little digging in the settings shows me that the phone is still considered a VZW-branded phone (ATT/ATT/VZW), and I believe this is the reason why I'm not able to receive the OTA updates. I also noticed that I no longer get 5G service, and I'm worried that there may be other functions missing too. I've seen BlueFox721's guide on carrier switching, and decided to do a bit more research before making an attempt, but I figured I would ask some questions.
First off, my main goal is to get this VZW Note 8 to work with all intended functionality of an up-to-date AT&T Note 8, including future OTA updates, bloatware, the whole deal. Is this actually possible?
If it is possible, can it be done without tripping Knox and hindering Samsung functionality?
I've read that root isn't possible with any bootloader past v3... I'm running v4 (N950USQU4CRF3). Is root necessary to switch carriers, or is it as simple as flashing an AT&T firmware with a newer bootloader version than what I currently use?
Again, I know a lot of this information is out there, but there's just so much to comb through I thought it might be better to just ask in regards to my particular situation, in case I'm not understanding something correctly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

US Cellular Note 9 no longer updating on AT&T?

Back in July I got a steal on a new US Cellular Galaxy Note 9, so I immediately threw my iPhone 6S SIM card into it and went through several rounds of software updates. After the last update the splash screen switched to AT&T and it suddenly had several AT&T apps. It didn't TOTALLY eliminate the US Cellular stuff because I had to delete at least one app and change the Samsung browser's default home page.
Due to the iPhone SIM card and some stuff on AT&T's side, it would not do VoLTE or WiFi calling until I got a new SIM and had AT&T use the IMEI from an AT&T Galaxy Note 9 (read it off one from the store). I did that in late August and the only remaining issue O noticed was that my MMS messages will not download as long as I am on WiFi.
I just noticed what may be a new issue: I think I stopped getting carrier updates. Looking on AT&T's site, I see that they have multiple newer updates with the latest from September 18th:
https://www.att.com/devicehowto/tut...tep_KM1278532?make=Samsung&model=SamsungN960U
My "Security Patch Level" says May 1, 2019, while AT&T's website says that there have been 4 updates since then (latest at Security Patch Level September 1, 2019).
My baseband version doesn't quite match any of the ones associated with AT&T updates, though their May 22nd update seems to be the most similar (AT&T's N960USQS1CSE1 compared with my N960USQU1CSE3).
I recall that the new phone updated multiple times and was still on Oreo before it updated again to Pie, and again to AT&T-flavored Pie. I figure the final update was really just adding the AT&T apps and splash screen, but it somehow stopped me from getting further updates from US Cellular. I'm pretty sure I had an AT&T SIM card inserted for all of my updates.
On that note, I believe I tossed the original SIM and US Cellular does not operate in my region (only showed up here through a salvage store). I'm not easily able to get another US Cellular SIM for triggering it to revert to a US Cellular ROM. I'm not interested in custom ROMs and all that and ultimately just want to keep my phone up to date the same way a normal AT&T customer would after buying theirs from AT&T. I thought the Note 9 adding carrier customizations to match the inserted SIM would take care of all this automatically (half the point, right?) but I guess I was wrong.
Is it possible to get carrier updates like I was getting before? If not, what would you guys recommend for getting up to date and staying up to date? Thanks!

I'll check it out when I get back to my PC. Thanks! I assume it's something I need to flash with Odin?
