Spigen Neo Hybrid Gunmetal Bumper Style Premium Case - G4 Accessories

I copied the description from Amazon into the title of this thread and I intentionally left out 'slim fit' because this case is not that. I just bought the case at the following link and I've had it on my phone for all of a few hours. It looks great and I've always liked Spigen. But I noticed that it was pushing up the top corner of my tempered glass screen protector so I wanted to remove it to make sure the protector was not going to crack or come off.
Spigen Neo Hybrid Gunmetal Bumper Style Premium Case - Amazon
That's when the fun started. Removing this case is insanely difficult. While doing so it actually popped off the back cover which stayed in the case. I thought I broke my phone with the force I had to apply. This case also adds significant weight to the phone. I'm sure it is great at protecting it but I also need to be able to remove it every once in awhile.
I am in need of a slim lightweight case that doesn't make me feel I will break my phone by removing it. I will continue to check out other reviews on XDA but I'm hoping someone can point me in the direction of the case they are using. Also, it would be awesome if the case that is suggested works well with Qi wireless charging. I haven't invested in that yet but I would like to. Thanks all!

IMHO None of the Spigen cases I got for my Nexus 6 were "slim".
I've got a OtterBox symmetry case that is really lightweight, but it's not "slim".
For "slim" I just went and got several of the ones on eBay described as "ultra thin" TPU. They don't offer much as in drop protection, it's more for grip, bump and scratch protection.
These are the ones I like the most so far http://www.ebay.com/itm/391137523772 ( I always get one of these and are my favorite on every phone they make one for) and http://www.ebay.com/itm/181726434936 (this is one of the only ones that actually hold on to the phone tightly without being impossible to put on or take off)

I picked this one up. Its thin and light. Have used this particular case for the last 3 years on different phones and never had an issue.

I ended up placing an order for this one last night.

I'll know tomorrow if it works as expected.

I have that Spigen case and I really like it. I have always used bigger cases, so this one is slim to me! Or, it did, before I read this post. I'm curious as to what a true slim case looks like now. As for the Spigen. It was tough to get off the first two or three times. Now, I just pull from the top (or bottom - just use the short side) and that seems to work. The whole thing comes off easily. I'm kind of a klutz, so I need drop protection. I ordered a case before I had the phone and there weren't nearly as many choices as there are now (or I didn't see them). It'll be looking forward to your thoughts on your case. I hope it works for you!

Do you drop your phone though? I like the look and might get it as a backup case. I just need something that will protect the screen and the phone against impacts. In other words, something that'll protect against more than just scratches. :fingers-crossed:

I've dropped it maybe 3 times today if that says anything... I've thrown it accidentally halfway across the room onto tile.. still fine.
Never had an issue, as long as you don't drop it screen down on a rock that is..
my m8 was in mint condition cosmetically when I sold it, had this case on it for a year. (camera died due to having a magnet constantly near it - don't get one of those magnetic mounts for your car.. learn from my mistake)
Even got that case for my girlfriend's S6 - She beats on phones and hasn't had an issue so far.
It has a decent lip around the screen, and its hard tpu.. not that rubbery junk that bends just by looking at it..

Sold! Thanks for the feedback. It's exactly what I needed to hear. Going to pick up a green one. And I guess some new tempered glass. Unless it can be reused...?

As far as I know you can't reuse them. It looks sharp in green. I've only used the tempered glass on an old galaxy s3, I thought this had Gorilla Glass

I think it does. I use tempered glass anyway. I have read tons of accounts (Okay, maybe two or three), where people dropped the phones and shattered their screens only to remember they had tempered glass on it. Peel off the shattered tempered glass and underneath they had their original unblemished screen. Plus, probably 3/4's of people I know have a shattered screen. 100% of them didn't use screen protectors and those that had a case had one of the cheap cases that don't protect anything. But I'm kind of a worrywart so..... better safe than sorry!

Agreed, if ya need it.. Ya need it I've just seen some posts about the screen being not as responsive with the tempered glass protectors for the g4.
Let me know which one you get and how it does.

Yeah, I've seen those. But people complained about the general unresponsiveness with or without it Mine has been fine. I'd probably go with a different brand ad the cheapie I have can sometimes drag during swype, causing me to input the wrong words. I had a general/off brand one.

I received the Poetic Affinity case last Friday and it is better, and easier to remove, than the Spigen I have previously tried. The case is not a flimsy TPU and it could probably hold up to a decent drop although my need was for being able to grip the phone without feeling like it would slide out of my hand. With the case on the phone it is secure and not loose. Definitely more what I was looking for. Also, it does not bother the screen protector although the most likely reason that happened was because the glass protectors fit the screen completely so there is little room for anything else unless the case fits on top of the edge.
Overall, I am definitely happy with this Poetic case.

Hello,
how intense is the look of the green. Is it like shown in the product pictures, or more soft/washed out?
Thanks

Got Neo Hybrid, and paint is getting off from plastic frame (gunmetal painted), now have two white dots, first arrived after one week (don't know when)...
Maybe I should paint it my self

It was nowhere near as vibrant as the picture. I am used to it though. I don't even remember what the original green was supposed to look like. I love the case though. I don't even wear the Spigen anymore. It certainly is lighter in weight, that's for sure.

PDair Aluminum Case?

Can anyone comment on this case? It looks pretty decent with the rubber gripping inside. There are some videos on youtube of it. Silver looks snazzy. Already dropped my xperia bad once without a case had to send it in. Looking for something that covers it completely while I can still use it. Any advice on a case would be greatly appreciated thanks.
http://www.pdair.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=10100000_1800000_11000335&products_id=13741
I purchased this case in the silver and the black. They are extremely well made and the X1a seems to fit in it perfectly. I like the "velvet" lining. The one thing that you have to get used to is that it has clear hard plastic built into the case that covers the screen. This was actually why I bought it because in my handbag, I don't want the phone screen getting scratched. But when I take it out I forget the screen is covered and just start tapping. It's no big deal to just open the "door" of the case but it was funny.
Also, I don't know if the aluminum messes with the radio signal. It seems a little weaker while in this case.
Overall the case is well made, protects the phone, fits snugly and looks really cool. Drawback is that it adds weight. Phone is very heavy in the case.
Hope this helps, Cindy.
so you cant use the phone while the case is closed? in the youtube videos it looks like the front screen portion of the phone is open. Can this plastic screen be removed? Id rather have a martin fields screen protector and still be able to use the phone with the case closed.... thanks.
how are the hinges on the case? are the stiff enough to keep it from closing by itself while the keyboard is out?
I've has one of these for about a week.
I carefully (but easily) removed the plastic window it comes with to make touch screen accessible. I already have a screen protector to prevent scratching.
All is good with it, although I'm sure the phone reception is slightly reduced by the metal casing. I'm testing more in this area.
I have had one of these for a long time.I used to have a plastic case with the screen exposed until i ended up with a dent in my screen. The phone reception is definatly affected with this case which is great for me as i dont want signal all the time as i use it for work to which gives me a nice break when out in the country.Definatly saves the screen though and ive dropped my phone alot of times where it would of definatly been damaged if it wasnt for this case.

Update:
Certainly well made, but the two bar drop in phone signal and the unusable GPS makes it not an option anymore......shame
Not too keen on the big hinge either.
I've gone back to the silicon case with a scratch guard fitted and will use the metal case for bigger trips/ holidays etc.
Also tried the rigid plastic cases. The one with a silicon feel. Although signal strength is unaffected, this type is too brittle and breaks easily. Especially the screen cover side.

where did you buy your silicone case? is it the one being sold at ebay for 1 US$? is it a perfect fit? thanks
I've tried many a way to protect my X1 and although not perfect, its the best allround. Got mine from http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-Screen-Prot...X1-XPERIA_W0QQitemZ360155589252QQcmdZViewItem

hi, is the BoxWave silicone case really that bad? I'm planning to buy one for my X1i. my choices are the ones from BoxWave and Capdase..
which one is better? or is there another brand?
1US$ silicone case..
I had a boxwave and the top panel grip hooks broke off.
I can't comment about the Capdase. If it's made of rigid plastic, I'm sure it will do the same.
The cheapo silcone has performed the best for me.....not perfect though, but better than other options.
Got the aluminium case. It's from Brando, but from what I can see in the pictures in the first post, they are EXACTLY the SAME. Because I'm traveling quite often with my bike, I got this one as my Xperia dropped few times before and got several deep "scars" all around the housing and from cover If you do some "offroad" traveling, I can recommend this AL case. But for "ordinary" use it's bit useless. Oh and btw, it's blocking the radio signal quite well. If you get around 2 bars normaly, with this case it'll drop 2 bars bellow. So mostly no signal in a forrest. But hey, who didn't expect it, as it's ALUMINIUM

The boxwave rubberized case is terrible do not buy it. As mentioned earlier the clips to the faceplate break off within the first week of use, as it hardly stays on to begin with. The bottom piece looks nice, however after several weeks of use, it leaves a black stain on the corners of your xperia, VERY visible if you have the silver model. As far as I've seen the only remedy to my problem is to get new housing...I repeat....do not buy the boxwave case.
alrighty then... BoxWave = Bad !!!!...
has anyone tried the Capdase????
i'm also tempted to buy the cheapo silicone case (1USD wtf!), but as you can see in the picture (middle, near the optical sensor) it's not a perfect fit.. and also, i'm kinda wondering what material did they use? toxic maybe? hope not..
Silicone for $1 must be worth a punt. As for being toxic, now you mention it I have started coughing recently. It's either the silicone case or those damn pigs again (swine flu)
i have a hard plastic one looking the same , it broke/cracked like 4-5 places after 1 month , still covering the important places tho (corners)
there is a huge signal drop problem with this meral case. so anyone can post some solution.?
get the silicone case that kitzie mentioned earlier, its good, significantly better than the boxwave case, just a lint magnet if you keep the phone in your pocket

Otterbox alternative?

Okay I would prefer to have an Otterbox for my Nexus S, but apparently they won't be making one. Anyone know of an Otterbox alternative? I already have a silicon case, a TPU case on the way, and a hard case. (The hard case is a generic piece of crap, doesn't have any padding or rubber coating on the inside so the phone gets scratched when it vibrates, etc.)
Im open to suggestions. Willing to spend $25ish.
$25ish... otterbox style cases sell for 40+. But check out the casemate pop http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4auzR3OVB8 it's the best case i could find on the market right now.
Feel free to suggest the $40+ alternatives. If its worth it, a few bucks don't matter to me.
Thanks for the suggestion on Cast Mate, but it doesn't cover the front top area.
Yeah i was in the same predicament, the trident is the only 3 layer case i could find (a la defender)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MenxwxVixGM&feature=channel_video_title but it's not out yet and the makers don't even say when it will be. the best cases you can butyright now are the pop and the seido active x. neither have the glass protector but the pop comes with a crappy scratch protector for the screen, and you can buy it at best buy (which is why i chose it over the active x). if you find one with a glass protector let me know as i am terrified i'm gonna drop my phone screen first on a rock.

The Trident Cyclops? Its out: http://www.tridentcases.com/product_52_67.html
EDIT: I was about ready to buy this phone until I saw in that video review that the screen protector isnt a perfect fit to the curved design of the nexus...
its not out the buy now button takes you to a preorder now page. and it isnt a perfct fit because of the curve, it can probably be adjusted for with some scratch protectors on the glass to make it a tighter fit.
It's showing that the Trident Cyclops is available on amazon.
http://www.amazon.com/Trident-CY-GN..._1_3?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1303943168&sr=1-3
I own the Trident Case, and I have no issues with the screen cover not matching 100%.
There may be a slight gap between the screen cover and the phone itself, but it is minuscule at worst. I have yet to have an issue with the touchscreen not working because of this 'gap'.
The case is pretty sturdy overall, the only real gripe I have against it is the plastic cover over the rear-facing camera reflects a fair amount of flash, distorting pictures. I had to remove it to take a decent picture.
Hope this helps.
Thank you for the feedback. It does help. I will probabaly go for the Trident case unless a better alternative is given.
No worries.
I should also mention that the silicon ring around the outside of the shell is very grippy stuff. Which means it will stick to the inside of your pockets and such.

May I ask where you got yours from? The one from Amazon ships in "1 to 3 months" and there doesn't seem to be a way to order directly from Trident's website.
I ordered mine straight from their website roughly a month ago. Very pleasant company to work with. I had to call and change my order and they were very helpful. You could try calling them and seeing if they are out of stock or whatnot.

I ordered the trident case yesterday. It said it wouldn't be in stock until 5/11 but I'm ok with that. As far as the screen protector goes, with all of my otterbox cases I've always taken that out and put my own sp on it.
The only benefit of the sp on the case is that it seals your phone from dust.
Can't wait to get mine and see how it feels. Best of luck finding what your looking for.

Did you get your case? How do you like it? Does the phone scratch from the inside of the case since there is no interior soft padding?
http://www.seidioonline.com/product-p/bd4-hkr4ssn2.htm
I bought the Seidio Convert.
Like the otterbox it comes with a holster.
It is actually 2 cases in one.
The 1st case is a thin 2 piece hard shell. Nice for in the pocket.
Then you pop a silicone case over that with an additional hard plastic exo-skeleton that protects the sides and corners.
The holster is much better than the otterbox holster and can even lock the phone in.

I bought the same case and I'm pretty happy with it. I find it a little bulky with the full protection and the holster but it's not that bad. I'll come back with pictures.
I just bought that case at bust buy. I hope the inner hard shell case doesn't scratch due to vibration. With all three layers on, it feels like I'm sticking my finger into an oraface.... The outside shell reminds me of fingers. Add that all together and I get the mental image of "what you see you cannot unsee," goatse.
I might have to "circumcise" the rubber lens cap flap so I can do some stealth video/photo shots a little easier. There's nothing more annoying than your flap getting in the way!
LMAO
Now all I need as a home screen wallpaper pic is a shot of someone's "insides" and that would, LOL, complete the whatever. LOL

Case-Mate Barely There Droid 3 Case Review

I have recent come from an HTC Droid Incredible and got the Droid 3 for $200 off someone on Craigslist which was awesome. Of course, I had to get a case for it but I didn't want something thick and wanted something thin.
Of the brand name case makers, Case-Mate seemed to be the answer I was looking for with their Barely There line. I could've gone with Mobi but they did not seem as well known and for about $5 more I could get peace of mind. I got mine for about $16 on Amazon.
Case fit is very good. It is snug and not loose.
The material is that "faux rubbery hard case" material, not unlike the material that the Droid 3 battery cover is made of. Of course the back of the case (which I forgot to take a picture of, sorry!) looks very sleek with the Case-Mate logo.
I haven't dropped it (-knocks on wood-) so I can't say how well it'd hold up but it looks like it'll probably hold up as well as any other case made of the same material. It doesn't have the silicone inner layer like the Trident and Otterbox cases so not as much shock absorption, but it will definitely protect against minor drops and bumps and keep scratches off your phone.

I do have one gripe with the case, however...
Some of the tabs rub against the case. In other words, I feel like the case doesn't slide as smoothly with the case on and there's some resistance. Has anybody else experienced this?
That really bothers me I was wondering if any of the other cases didn't have any rubbing at all and/or if that is even possible with this type of phone? Or if anyone has any other case suggestions?
Thanks Hope this review was helpful!
UPDATE: I e-mailed Case-Mate's support services and they claim that this is not "normal" and they may send me a replacement so we'll see.
Yesterday, I thought about what kind of case will protect this phone and allow using keyboard too, of course a 2 piece case! Nicely executed, but looks ugly =/.
As for being able to use the keyboard, this case does not hinder it in my opinion and I think it looks okay. However, the Qmadix case I don't like. I think THAT looks ugly lol.
I'm considering just a skin and maybe no case. I've always had cases but figure this would be a good chance to try something different. Maybe Skinomi? Any suggestions?

I use a skinomi wooden skin. Looks fantastic, has held up for a couple months with no problem. Only issue is there isn't a piece that works for the side right underneath the capacitative buttons, cause of the funny curve, but it really doesn't look bad. I would recommend highly

True...
I just ordered the clear TechSkin from Skinomi for the Droid 3 yesterday for around $15. So we'll see I guess. I'm a little nervous about the whole wet-everything-then-try-to-stick-it-on thing as I've never tried anything with a wet application before.
Did you happen to se if the Droid fit in the Car and/or multimedia docks while the Case Mate was attached? I"m still searching for a good quality case that serves that function.. without some of the more drastic modifications i've seen posted on other threads.
I had a case like this on my 1st d3. The tabs rubbed on the phone and made it a little harder to slide, but I thought that was "normal" About 3 weeks ago my backlight started going in and out when I slid the keyboard, to the point where I couldnt get it to turn on. Got a warranty replacement, and bought an otterbox commuter case. 20 bucks, but the slider glides without issue and I'm not seeing any marks where it rubs.
TL DR Cases like this that cause the slider to not glide as smoothly may cause your backlight/screen to die

Sorry, I don't have any docks, they're crazy expensive! But I would assume that they wouldn't fit though that's just me guesstimating.

Good to know I'm not the only one experiencing this. Sorry to hear it screwed up your D3. I've since got the TechSkin and it turned out better than I thought it would. I would've considered an OtterBox but it just looked so... thick and big. How is in compared to the Case Mate?

It is a little bigger but thats because it kinda sits in 2 cases (the slicon layer and the hard shell), but its not a ton bigger. The slider works though as if there is no case even on it, which makes me feel a lot more comfortable having it in the case. I wish it was a little gripier though

True... thanks. Yeah, I heard that the Droid 3 Otterbox wasn't as crazily big as the other ones.

Did you happen to se if the Droid fit in the Car and/or multimedia docks while the Case Mate was attached? I"m still searching for a good quality case that serves that function.. without some of the more drastic modifications i've seen posted on other threads.

I ended up getting this case and I can report that it works with both the car and home docks...
i hae the otter case , which slides smooth, offer great protection, but it is really bulky,
i was thinking of getting another case, but i am now thinking of getting skins,
since skins offer nice protection and keep the phone slim,
got to love how it is the thinest android with keyboard
Anyone know if this case slides better than the OEM one from verizon? Ive had it on since day 1 and its wearing away the finish along where the rail slides and I hardly use the keyboard. It's also bulky, and the rubber texture of the case makes taking it out of the pocket a pain if you wear pants that fit. lol

Some of the tabs rub against the case. In other words, I feel like the case doesn't slide as smoothly with the case on and there's some resistance. Has anybody else experienced this?

I have the same experience of it being very non-smooth sliding...

[Review w/ Pics]Spigen Neo Hybrid Case & Spigen Flex HD Screen Protector

Hey Guys and Gals,
DrkGhst87 here and I just wanted to give those of you who are still figuring out which case and/or screen protector you might want to get with my opinion on these 2 items I purchased off of Amazon.com. And to show off my awesome looking Galaxy S6 EDGE!!! (Link to Album if you just want to check out the pics.)
First the Spigen Neo Hybrid Series Case for Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge:

This case is a beauty. Loved it as soon as I saw it. It's sleek, slim, and easy to hold. The back of the case looks nice and provides extra grip to hold. It's not slippery and doesn't give you that feeling it's going to fall right out of your hands. With the edge having "sharp" edges and that for some has caused some discomfort, the case provides just enough extra lip so that it feels nice in either hand. The case adds a "mm" or 2 so that when lying face down, it's not lying on the screen. It comes in 2 pieces, the shock-absorbing TPU case + polycarbonate bumper. Even with the case on, when placed on top the wireless charger, it charges just fine. It's$24.99 right now as of this post but I was able to pick it up for under $20 and I'm sure you could to. 10/10 would recommend.
Second the controversial Spigen Galaxy S6 Edge Screen Protector FlexHD Clear Screen Protector:
Now let's begin with the fact that this was my first ever "wet" application screen protector. I was a nervous wreck spraying that solution over everything and the subsequent consequence of solution all over my brand new phone... Since I was so use to putting on those one and done "dry" application protectors I was hoping for them to come out with one for the Edge, since I wanted protection from one side to the other and not just the top of the screen, but unfortunately I couldn't find one personally. Since I went with the Spigen case, why not go with the full coverage screen protector as well and it comes with a back glass protector to boot. At first, I was completely devastated by how it looked after my initial install, there were bubbles and blemishes everywhere. I went online to find the only advice was to let it "settle" and that most if not all the bubbles would go away in time. Boy, that waiting was rough. I'm a perfectionist at heart and seeing all those bubbles was killing me. But I can honestly say right now, I'm glad I went through with it. Not only do I now have Edge to Edge protection, but it looks like glass and feels like glass as well. I've shown my phone off to a few friends of mine and they couldn't even tell I had a screen protector on my phone. The back protector went on smooth, since that was a traditional "dry" application. I did notice that the back protector was a tad bit small on the sides and didn't exactly cover the entire back glass. Since I was putting on a case anyway it didn't bother me to much, but for those of you who carry the phone "naked" this might present a little problem... or none at all, it's really up to you. At the end of the day however, I love the look and feel to it and would recommend it to anyone that has the nerves to put up with the "wet" application and the waiting for it all to "settle". It's $15.99 right now. 9/10 would recommend.
Thanks for taking the time for reading my review. I hope that my post helps anyone with their purchase.
Here's the album with my phone in the case and with the screen protector on as well
Looks great I'm gonna purchase these now. How's the screen protection around the edges with the case on it? Any raise up or bubbles?

It's a perfect fit. There's no bubbles or raise up at all. Obviously it's a YMMV situation, because it's all about how you apply the screen protector, but if you can get it on just right it looks amazing. I've swiped from the both edges and you don't even touch the end of the protector to lift up accidentally and the case comes up to a really nice spot along the edges and covers a bit of the protector at the top and bottom. The most nerve wracking part was the initial application of the top screen protector with the solution. As I'm sure you might have seen all the posts on here about the bubbles and blemishes, I just wanted to provide some images of it done right and all the bubbles going away. I had some bad looking bubbles too. Just kept working them out with the provided squeegee over the past few days.
I had already ordered one of these from Amazon, but god damn that looks even better than I was expecting. Thanks for sharing.
wow! you installed the screen protector perfectly well. thanks for the review and the assurance that the SP feels smooth and seamless.
For the screen protector, does it reduce fingerprints? Thanks in advance.

Thanks I've had problems in the past where the case would mess up the screen protection. This was a great review thank you!
I bought this case on Friday (it's should be at home when I get back) and was about to buy that exact screen protector as well but waited because I was so hesitant on that wet application - made me nervous!! Thanks for the review I think I'll pull the trigger

Also - damn Verizon and their ugly unnecessary logos! Loving that T-mobile left off all carrier branding.

Honestly, it's a YMMV situation. Somedays I won't have a single fingerprint on it, the next I'll have a screen full of them. I would say I don't get as much or more than my buddy who has his S6 Edge "naked" all the time but it could be how I use it as well. I'm on my phone for calls a lot so I've noticed that the oil from my face creates a lot of the fingerprints, but if my screen was clean to begin with I haven't noticed to many if any at all. Also, how clean my hands are when I use my phone is another factor. So I'd say it's about the same as having the phone "naked", without it on.

Case with built in Screen Protector?

Just received my S7 Edge today, I've actually bought the Tech21 case for it.
However with the lack of decent screen protectors at the minute is there not a case which takes care of this for you?
I've had a look around and found an X-Doria Defense 360 Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Case – Clear , anybody managed to get one or something similar which isn't too bulky?
Thanks
As i thought the Tech21 Evo Frame case edges must be fairly sharp and I can't get the screen protector to stay down especially up near the top. I've tried both the InvisibleShield Original and the Ultimate Shield one (I am in the UK). Has anybody got one to work with this case?
If not has any got any recommendations for cases with a built in screen protector as mentioned above?
Thanks

IQ Shield makes a case-friendly screen protectors for the phone. I am currently using it with my Tech21 Frame and have zero issues.

Thanks that looks like it might do the trick. Not sure you can get them in the UK, does anyone know something similar or where I could buy one?

Right now they are one of the few that actually makes case-friendly screen protectors. They do ship internationally though.
What is the difference between the case friendly and a regular screen protector? They have a few different option on amazon, but don't explain the difference.
By the looks of the post above compared to what I have got it seems to be cut out more at the top and the bottom corners compared to trying to cover the whole screen. The weakest places with my cover on are up near the very top and bottom so this should help it from not lifting when you put the case on but still cover most of the screen.
Both Skinomi and ArmorSuit make "case-friendly" screen protectors for the GS7E.
I've found one...

Just picked one up from Best Buy, case is fine but built-in screen protector is making it difficult for the phone to register touches, I might have to switch it to glove mode or something I might just have to pull the screen protector off

Here is a "waterproof" full case with built in screen protector I stumbled upon while searching. It's pre-order. I went ahead and got one to test, will let you know how I like it, but I like the way it looks in the pictures.

Tried it at best buy. I have a film on so it had that slick oil thing going. But protects well. So not sure if the screen protector hindered full screen functionality.

it does look cool but its pre order so it not even available
i just bought this one http://tinyurl.com/gkqlckx hope its good as most s7 edge glass protectors are bad even the name brand ones ...
Just received the Ghostek Atomic 2.0 Case. Even though Screen is not glass does not feel that back. No stickiness like plastic films. But for now just had it on for some hours so can't really say for long run yet.
It is a bit wider like a little over 1/4" more than the UAG case. Which adds to black borders on the front as seen on the pictures. So if you already had trouble using it with one hand, this would cause a bit more trouble.
The thickness is about the same as the UAG case when both are facing screen down.
This case advertises Waterproof but has 2 openings for the speaker grill on top and the home button on bottom. I would expect water could get in through those openings. Screen is dot matrix.
The look of the case for me is nice and does not make it look ugly in my perspective. As because the screen guard as they call it make it look like the screen is showing more than some cases that adds front black plastic borders on top and bottom.
The one thing is you might want to use wireless charging more due to having to open up ports more often if using a usb charger.
Here are some pictures I took. Sorry about quality. The best Camera I have is the GS7 edge. lol.
http://imgur.com/a/osNxm
Right now I'm using it with the TANAAB Screen protector.
I'll post more about it. But first reactions seems to be a good case but would depend on how you would see it and if the 1/4" width bigger than a UAG case would be a drawback or not.
It Seems that Ghostek send several out to Mobilefun or Uviyo in batches but haven't shipped through their main site.
Update:
Update about the openings mentioned above. The waterproof works and does not get inside case if there's nothing that raises the area where the openings are. I had the TANAAB TGSP that doesn't go full length of the phone let water in but when removed and tested no water went in. So waiting to test it with a similar TGSP like GPEL2 that fully extends the the phone and see how that works.
When With TANAAB. Sensitivity didn't change and could provide good protection if needed as the outside screen is just a thin plastic film.
Just wanted to point this out.

I just swapped out my Note 7 for the s7 edge and purchased the Defender and has crazy problems with the screen registering the touches. I then removed the screen protector now the phone is loose in the case and the bottoms don't align anymore. So I did the OtterBox warranty and when that case comes in I'll get a refund from Sprint for the Defender and go with a different case. Did you remove the screen protector and have the same button issues? Also like the screen was pushing the phone down in the case which aligned the buttons. Really sucks it just doesn't work without the thick crappy built in screen protector.
