RollBack from B805 (EMUI 3.1 Lollipop) to B621 (EMUI 3.0 KitKat) - Huawei Ascend P7

Hi,
If you want to rollback from B805 (Lollipop) to B621 (KitKat), please follow this steps:
1. Download rollback/transition package from Huawei DE: http://consumer.huawei.com/de/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=49144
2. Put the "UPDATE.APP" file into "dload" folder and run Local Update (This will NOT wipe you data)
3. Download update file for B621 (similar to B609, maybe better life for battery) from here: http://consumer.huawei.com/de/support/downloads/detail/index.htm?id=49106
4. PLEASE BackUP you data, because in this step the update will wipe your data
5. Put the "UPDATE.APP" file into "dload" folder and run Local Update (This will wipe you data)
6. After update is finished, copy the update.app from Vendor folder to "dload" and flash`it
7. Now you are officialy rolledback to KitKat 4.4.2
Good Luck

Thankyou. I have successfully downgraded my phone...

That is why I changed my device P-7 one week ago, people waiting for long time to get updates, but Huawei seems to have forgotten them, now I have a motorola Moto G that provides official lollipop with permanent updates and there are many custom roms for this device with the latest version of android 5.1.1. I love it !!!!

[SOLVED] Downgrade procedure from EMUI 4.0/ CM 13 to EMUI 3.1 for Che1-L04

1. They have removed 'local update' option from updater app, hence can't install EMUI 3.1 locally
2. Copied 'update.app' to dload folder in SD card and tried Vol UP + Vol Down + Power method with EMUI3.1 update app, but it doesn't go into update mode.
(Note: vol up+down+power method work perfectly if update.app is of EMUI 4.0)
3. after going through multiple sites and threads on google, it seems that, 'downgrade' package is to be installed first and then only we can install desired package EMUI 3.1 package.
So, request you to provide some alternate way or some downgrade package to install EMUI 3.1
Why downgrade?? bcos, i can't install TWRP 2.8.7 and hence CM12.1..
# EDIT :: SOLUTION
Note: Take backup of all your data, before trying anything. Also try these at your own risk.
1. Downgrade from EMUI 4.0 to EMUI 3.1

b. go to dial pad and type *#*#2846579#*#* --> Menu will be displayed
c. select software upgrade.
(users have confirmed, this method works on EMUI 4.0) (credit -> moin khan - Honor beta fan club on facebook)
2. Downgrade from EMUI 4.0/ CM13 to EMUI 3.1
d. Save the EMUI 3.1 'UPDATE.APP' in 'dload' folder on sd/internal card
e. Extract EMUI 3.1 ‘update.app’ using Huawei update extractor on your PC (use google to find update extractor) --> you will get all img files extracted on your pc
f. connect your mobile thru USB cable and boot into fastboot mode
g. flash recovery.img, boot.img and system.img in respective areas (use google for exact commands)
h. disconnect usb and power-off your mobile
i. Now force update to EMUI 3.1 using vol up+ vol down+ power --> it will install whole EMUI3.1 thru ‘dload\update.app’ on sd card

if u flashed recovery of emui 3 or 3.1 not emui 4
Download LL 5.1 emui3.1 update.app(not MM6.0.1 emui 4)
Paste in external sd card dload/update.app
then check which recovery appears in recovery mode :twrp or emui recovery??
if emui recovery appears then
Then power off phone again .try for forced update as follows.
im not sure if this works but give a try.
press both volume button and press power on button
emui will flash LL.
later try to update to EMUI.
PS:better to take twrp nandroid back always for different ROM used

Well nvm. I did it on my own. I'll specify the steps in case anyone needs to know how it's done.
1) Downgraded to 5.1 by the above method.
2) Flashed twrp recovery using adb commands because stock recovery wouldn't work.
3) After flashing booted to twrp recovery and wiped data & dalvik cache.
4) Then flashed the stock recovery. (can't flash stock roms with twrp. twrp gives an error. stock recovery is must.) (Got the stock recovery file from the kitkat rom using huawei update extractor and flashed it using adb.)
5) Then rebooted the phone and copied the dload folder of the kitkat rom to sd card and updated it using updater app.
Back to kitkat firmware EMUI 3.0 Also, direct downgrade from 6.0.1 to 4.4.4 doesn't seem to work. We have to downgrade to 5.1 first.

We are not able ti flash product with this recovery, we can try to ask information to Hassan. It replace the file with the correct attribute. You have to use this metod to copy data folder

Guide to succesfully downgrade from 9.1 to 8.0.0.386 (C432 = European Phone)

Hello everyone,
This is the procedure that I followed to rollback my EUROPEAN P10 plus from Emui 9.1 to 8.
Phone was Unrooted + Locked bootloader on 9.1
As this implies downloading territory specific firmwares, I can only provide information on where I found specific ones. Unfortunately, I have no Idea where to find 9.0.* firmwares for other geographical locations.
1. go to https://androidhost.ru/29XI and download the 9.0.* firmware hosted there. There might be a bit to fiddle if you have adblockers on.
2. At the end of the download, there should be a file named: Huawei P10 Plus VKY-L09 hw eu HLRCF Vicky-L09B 9.0.1.163(C432E4R1P9T8) Firmware 9.0.0 r3 EMUI9.0.1 05014KJP [androidhost.ru].zip
3. The zip archive should be around 4.6 GB in size
4. Decompress it with your favorite utility (7z, Winrar, etc.)
5. Now there should be 2 folders: "ReleaseDoc" and "Software"
6. Inside "Software" there is the "dload" folder.
7. Inside "dload" you will find 2 folders and one file (see screenshot)
8. Delete the folder "VKY-L29_hw_eu"
9. Copy the dload folder in the root of your SD card
10. As a matter of precaution do a factory reset followed by switching the phone completely off
11. Press Vol-up + Vol-down + Power button and keep them pressed
12. The automatic update from SD card should start. Let it complete
13. Once completed, you will have to go through the initial phone setup
14. Once Phone setup is complete plug the phone to the computer, select USB to transmit data and launch HiSuite
15. I used HiSuite version 9.0.2.301
16. Give again all of the authorisations for HDB and wait for the connection with the phone to establish.
17. Start the update procedure, but when prompted select to use the other option.
18. The rollback description will display. Launch it and keep the phone connected. It will take a while.
19. The phone will automatically restart and install Oreo.
20. You are done

It should.
However, in this case at point 9 of the procedure I described, the folder "VKY-L29_hw_eu" should be kept and instead the folder "VKY-L09_hw_eu" should be deleted.
Thanks it works, latest version hisuite its not necessary the version you said, the latest works fine to downgrade(tested by me).
Thanks million, It Worked 1st time on my VKY L29
I did follow the OP and use HiSuite version 9.0.2.301

What are the main reasons to go back to Oreo? I just got a Huawei P10 Plus, love the exterior design of this phone, it has android 9 installed, wish it had a dark theme and smaller fonts
Man you are the best!!! Thank you very much. I follow the steps and now i can go back to older version. Thank you again.
If you know how to rollback to android 7 plz post it.
Thank YOU!!!!
So I've been struggling for months now and was seriously considering not liking Huawei anymore & trashing it. But then this gem of a post came along. Worked perfectly first time:good:. I have a rebranded VKY-L29 that was using EU software and had 9.1 on.
Will this unlock mt VKY-L09 running 9.1.0.252 I just want all the Hauwei crap off and a stripped ROM. It's a great phone but slowly being ruined
Can anyone share the file ? It's saying 7 days to download

Thank you for this clear description.
Does this rollback procedure works for P10 plus VKL-l29 as well?
QUOTE=algarues;80679187]Hello everyone,
This is the procedure that I followed to rollback my EUROPEAN P10 plus from Emui 9.1 to 8.

It might, but I am not 100% sure. What I would do is change step #8 and delete the folder VKY-L09_hw_eu and leave the VKY-L29 instead
