ZUK Z1 Smartphone Charging Analysis (DO NOT SUPPORT Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0) - Zuk Z1 General

ZUK has recently released their very first smartphone, the ZUK Z1. This new model comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p resolution display, and is powered by a Qualcomm 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM. Compared with other smartphones, the biggest highlight for the Z1 is the impressive USB 3.0 standard TYPE C port, and it’s huge 4100 mAH battery.
Because some of our products are a perfect fit for the ZUK Z1, Tronsmart has been fortunate enough to get their international version before the official release date. Our partnership with Zuk will allow us the opportunity to do hands-on testing with the device and report our findings to our supporters.
ZUK plans to release a version for the mainland Chinese market and a second, different version tailored to the overseas market. One of the primary differences between the two versions is:
OS: ZUI vs Cyanogen OS
Charger: 5.3V 2.5A FAST CHARGE VS 5V 2A

As you know, Tronsmart manufactures a large volume of assorted Qualcomm Certified chargers. Recently, we were the first supplier in the world to release a Type C car charger which supports the quick charge QC2.0 specification. We couldn’t wait to test the ZUK Z1 to see if it supported our quick charge 2.0 technology, however, the test result ended up disappointing as we found it is not currently supported. Without the 5.3V/2.5A power adapter, and because it does not support the QC2.0 standard, we were concerned that the international version of the ZUK Z1 will cause a problem with the charging times.
We’re happy to report that the answer is NO, the charging performance is still good after our test, here are some of the test results:
We used the original 5V/2A power adapter, and original usb type C cable, and the result was the following:
Time Battery
11:27AM-11:47AM 0%-15%
11:47AM-11:57AM 15%-24%
11:57AM-12:16PM 24%-39%
12:16PM-12:27PM 39%-48%
12:27PM-13:00PM 48%-76%
13:00PM-13:50PM 76%-99%
13:50PM-13:59PM 99%-100%
We started the testing at 11:27am, and it took 20mins to charge from 0%-15%, we then tested it with a meter, with screen on, the current is running at about 1.46A, with screen off, you can get 2.0A at full speed.
The total charging time is about 2.5 hours. Considering the very large 4100mah battery, we think the charging speed is still very fast. The total charging time is about 2.5 hours, consider the 4100mah battery, we think the charging speed is still very fast.
and then we test to charge the ZUK Z1 with our wall charger / cable and Type C car charger:
Here are the test result:
Time Battery
12:45PM-12:55PM 0%-10%
12:55PM-13:05PM 10%-18%
13:05PM-13:15PM 18%-28%
13:15PM-13:25PM 28%-36%
13:25PM-13:35PM 36%-45%
13:35PM-15:10PM 45%-99%
15:10PM:15:20PM 99%-100%
The total charging time is almost the same as the original chargers. We are guessing the internation version of ZUK Z1 has locked the max current to 2A, while the china mainland version can reach 2.5A.
We are still not sure if this is software locked or hardware. If it is the software, once unlocked our charger can send a full 2.5A current to the ZUK Z1, and the charging speed will be faster.
Anyway, though this device currently lacks quick charge support, the ZUK Z1 charging speed is still acceptable (4100mah, 2.5 hours charging time).

The Chinese model has 2.5amp charger which charges the phone in like 2:00hrs

I bought this charger https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00W2WRDS6/ref=cm_sw_r_other_awd_7sbkwbK0FT5Q0
and it takes 2h to fully charge the phone.

I also got some charger from Anker and Inateck, also fast charger from Note 4. 2h for 100% with 1,50m cable from OnePlus.

Droid-life has an article showing that this charger gets close to providing the same amps as the stock wall charger. I'm definitely buying one today.

Could you check with an app like Ampere and compare numbers to the included wall charger? I'm guessing it's 2.4A and not the full 3A. Still faster than 2A at least but not the full potential.

will do that later, but droid-life already make an test, check here:
http://www.droid-life.com/2015/10/19/nexus-6p-nexus-5x-quick-charge/
Update 3: Last one for me, then it’s on to the engineers to try and give you even more clarity here. This morning, I started my phone at 40%, gave each charge up to 2% charge, grabbed a screenshot, then wound them back to 40% to do the next charger. Here are the results.
Idle phone: 118mA
Official LG USB Type-C charger: 2642mA
Aukey QC 2.0 PowerBank: 1241mA
Original Turbo Charger: 1314mA
Hikeren 5V/3A Thunder Charger: 1988mA
Samsung Fast Charger: 1961mA
Tronsmart QC 2.0 Car charger: 2511mA
I can't see 3A current in the original charger, but seems the tronsmart charger can give almost the same current as the original ones.

Interesting. The Tronsmart for them gave only 1.8A but could be because it was done at a higher battery percentage.
And I'm willing to bet that at very low battery (5-15%) the stock charger does 3A.

I just got my phone and I'm merely topping off the battery, but Ampere first gives an error in inability to gauge battery charge then asked to switch modes... then it only shows around 1A for the OEM charger. So not sure we are gonna get good reading from that app. I guess it's possible that the amps tapper off when the battery gets close to full, but there seems to be better testing involved here.

I believe I saw a video or read an article that explains that all fast charging tech basically works the same. The more empty the battery the greater the charge. As it gets full it'll be less. So topping off and only getting 1A could be right.

Full disclosure, @Tronsmart provided me a unit in exchange for an unbiased review. I've been using this charger for a few days on my Nexus 6 and have to say I'm very happy with it. I have a few Quick Charge 2.0 devices but also have a Nexus 5X and 6P on the way, so I wanted something that could handle any device. The Quick Charge port delivers, rapidly charging my Nexus 6 without any issue. The included 1m cable is very thick, as is the fixed Type C cable. My Nexus 5X showed up today, and officially it will not charge as quickly as the included 5V/3A charger the phones come with as this tops out at 5V/2.4A. That said, the fixed Type C cable registered as "rapidly charging" so while it may not be quite as fast as the 15W wall charger it's delivering enough power for the phone to indicate rapid charge. I'm very happy with this car charger since it offers both the old and new options until Type C becomes more ubiquitous.

For that price, you may as well try it. I will say though, the cable you use could make the difference and then there may be a handshake issue for it to get a full 3a charge. I think it is still very much unknown which type of car charger can provide the full 3a until they get tested. My guess is that you will need a true USB-C type that is also rated for at least 3a.

First review on Amazon is:
Cheap
Blew up (sparked, smoked), without even having anything plugged into it. Used it once.
There are a couple other reviews that say it doesn't charge at 3A.
I'd steer clear, but that's just me.

Anyone read this?
http://www.techtimes.com/articles/9...-chip-and-a-soldered-usb-type-c-connector.htm
"The Nexus 5X currently does not have a Quick Charge feature. However, this teardown attests it is equipped with the ability to support the feature in the future, since it houses the Qualcomm SMB1358, Quick Charge 2.0 IC. Given the fact the 5X's USB-Type C connector is supported by Qualcomm, a possibility exists that this feature could soon be activated for the device."
Is that true? How to activate the quick charge 2.0 on Nexus 5x? can't wait for this, developer!!!!!
When I used the AmazonBasics Charger (2 USB ports, claiming up to 2A each) with an A to C cable my 5X says 'Charging Rapidly'. (Apologies for no links - new user account)
I haven't tried it with Ampere yet - I wasn't expecting it to say that at all, I was just looking to keep things topped off during my commute this morning.
Mailman just delivered the Tronsmart. Seems well built. It's odd that they chose to hardwire the cable to the charger rather than putting a female USB C port on the charger and then including a USB C double ended cable.

Nexus 4 slow charging with LG original charger - Chargers comparison.

First thing guys i did not started this with a comparission in mind, i was just troubleshoting my phone but while i was testing all the chargers i have laying the house it seemed to me like a good idea to take note and share my findings. That said lets get to the problem:
Last mont (october 2015) i bought a new battery from official LG retailer it cost me Bs 12000 (Im from venezuela, crazy high prices for us), i did this because a part of my touch screen is dead and i read in several places that replacing the battery may fix that, well it didnt but at least i have a new battery. Anyway, the thing was super expensive, i also bought a LG "Original" Charger + USB cable at Bs 3000 from at respected seller, the Nexus 4 original oem charger fall from a table and died, it wasnt broke just didnt charge anything at all, thats why i bought a new one. I didnt pay much attention to the charging time until like 2 weeks ago, i was playing in the phone with the charger plugged and the battery was slowly discharging wtf?, since then ive been trying roms and kernel settings because i was to lazy to try another chargers until today. I was thinking about ROM and/or Kernel related problem since I updated to Android M about that time (2 weeks ago). So i didnt have idea if it was rom, kernel, battery or charger what wasnt working properly.
My phone setup:
ROM: Cataclysm Oct 27 2015 + SmartRadio Fix
Kernel: Hellscore b87-M (Hellsactive governor, row scheduler, DT2W and USB Fast Charge both enabled)
Method:
I used 2 USB cables, a generic no branded and a samsung one.
In developer options i enabled Stay Awake option so the screen will never go off while the phone is plugged.
I plugged the first charger with the generic cable and let the phone charging until it showed me the stimated remaining time for full charge, then i plugged the next charger (still with generic cable) and rebooted the phone, after boot i wated until it showed me the remaining time to go with the next charger, once i tested all the chargers i replaced the generic cable for the samsung and repeated the process. So i tested the charger twice, one with each cable, and yes i got the same results every time, so iguess this android feture is actually doing his job and saying the truth.
LG Original Charger - Not really original. Lited Output: 1000mAh
Samsung original charger, i bouth this one like 2 years ago like genuine, but is not. Listed Output: 1000mAh Now blury but i remember it was that amount.
Blu Charger from a Blu Jenny TV phone i have. Made touchscreen go crazy. Listed Output: 500mAh
Orinoquia Charger. Orinoquia is a brand selled by the goverment here in Venezuela. Listed Output: 550mAh
USB Charge. Straight from the back panel of my motherboard (MSI B75MA-E33, Windows 10 Pro x64)
Nokia Original OEM Charger. This is from my mom's Nokia Lumia. Listed Output: 750mAh
The Nokia charger was the only one that was actually delivering the amount of power that it says it should deliver. From now on im gona have a hard time thinking about wich charger im gonna buy. Dont buy cheap chargers guys and only buy them from the company itselft when possible or an authorized reseller. Sorry for my english
I always used a 2A Blackberry Playbook charger for my Nexus 4. Had it for three years and when I handed it to my Dad to use three weeks ago it would still do a day and a half normal usage.
Best charger out there. Still using it with my LG G4. Charges super quick.
Your USB cable can also make a difference.
You mentioned that you played with phone while it was charging...Its possible that you had lose contact at same time and cable was not supplying enough current for battery to charge. Just go to battery stats screen and it will show charging mode. If current being supplied is around 500 mA it will shows USB. This has happened to me on various phones including the n4. I usually just turn off wifi and data connnection and turn screen off while its charging and it really charges faster. ( better option would be to turn off phone). My charger is also broken (fell from wall socket on the floor) and it takes abut 3-4 hours to charge the phone.
I have also used friend's nokia charger and they are quite good. You can continue using it.. better use a 1.5 A or 1 A charger ( stock charger output is 1.2A)
I would also point out the Blackberry charger I use has a captive cable which reduces the connection issues.

Thanks ill try to find a charger with that output that actually delivers it.
My 0,05$:
I tried out a lot of chargers for both my nexus 4 & nexus 9 (tablet) and got by far the best results with Nillkin chargers & usb cables (you can by them cheap from banggood.com). Bought 4 so far (home-office-multiple devices): Very fast charge (much faster than original chargers included with both Nexus 4 & 9), very decent build quality, useful USB cable, charger doesn't make any humming noise, etc. Can strongly recommend.
after i had lost my original n4 charger, i used a motorola charger, which delivered max ~600mA or something. then i bought sony cycle energy wall charger CP-AD2. it is very cheap yet quite powerful. i suggest using currentwidget for checking charging speed. sony charger delivers min 700mA max 816mA (i think its the limit of the n4 since sony charger can deliver up to 2A)

I agree.
I'm using a Samsung USB cable with my original LG N4 charger.
It charges twice as fast compared to the original cable that came with the charger.
However, I'm pretty sure it was okay before. Maybe the LG cable is not as durable as the Samsung cable.
Okay!! Yes it is true. I myself now use only the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime's charger. As it charges my Nexus 4 far more faster than the real charger.

any info on the "quick charge"?

So I got my VIVO XL yesterday, charged it, and used it for one cycle all the way to 1%. I have to say, the battery life was amazing on that first cycle and I was impressed. Phone on time was 15hr 11mins, screen on time was 6hr 41mins, all this on my first charge and at 50% brightness.
I was excited that the battery was at 1% and couldn't wait to use the "quick charge" to see how "fast" it would charge since I never had a device with "quick charge capabilities" before. So I plugged it in, and timed it, what a major disappointment.
Here are the results(phone plugged in at 1%):
1hr @ 43%
1hr15min @ 51%
1hr 30min @ 62%
1hr 45min @ 71%
2hr @ 79%
2hr 15min @ 86%
2hr 30min @ 90%
2hr 45min @ 93%
3hr @ 96%
3hr 15min @ 97%
3hr 30min @ 98%
3hr 45min @ 99%
3hr 56min @ 100% FULL CHARGE
4hrs to charge a phone
Anyone else experience this. This took longer to charge than any device I ever used/tested/played with. and is totally unacceptable. There is no information anywhere as to what this so-called "quick charge" is. When I first plugged it in to charge, it said something about check this box for DU quick charge. What is that? It said I had 18 minutes of quick charge available.
I did some digging around, and the device is supposed to be supplied with a 9V/2A quick charger, I was supplied a 5V/2A charger. I sent an email to BLU in reference to this issue. BLU might owe us all new chargers:silly:

thanks for the feedback guys
I've given up on getting quick charging on this phone. Since the phone has a mediatek cpu, it supposedly supports Mediatek's version of quick chargings (9v, 2a) which is called PumpExpress+. I bought a Meizu MX5 charger off of aliexpress which is suppose to support PE+. Even with the Meizu charger, I still onyl get 5v and 1.4amps max. I get that charge rate regardless of which charger I use.
I contacted Blu's support about this issue and they were extremely unhelpful. I asked if the phone supported mediatek PumpExpress+. I didn't get a straight answer, just a reply saying to only use the included charger. I asked if Blu is going to sell a compatible 9v charger for quick charging and they said no. I gave up at that point. Their support is pretty much useless. I like the phone otherwise though.
what are you using to read the charging volts/amps?
BLU cusomter service is probably the worst i have delt with in a while, and contacted the warrantu dept. They shipped out a 9v2a charger to(or so they said), it will be here friday. i will post my results.
you are the first person i heard that cant get a quick charge while using at least a 9v2acharger. maybe there is something wrong with your battery or charging port?
just installed Ampere to check the current. with crappy supplied BLU charger, it see 3.9v max and 1.2a max. Tried galaxy s4 charger which is also a 5v2a charger, results were almost identical; 4v max and 1.22a max

I used this this DROK usb watt meter. I don't trust ampere or any other app based measurements. Phones often have different charging profile depending if the phone screen is on or off in order to limit heat generation in the device. I've tried the Meizu charger with PE+ and a Qualcomm compatible QC 2.0 charger. Neither will charge the phone at 9v.
There was one other person on slickdeals who also could not get fast charging to work with a Meizu charger. I honestly don't think Blu enabled fast charging on this phone.
I would be super interested in your results with the charger furnished by Blu. Must've taken you quite a while to get them to agree to send you the charger. Props to your persistence!

Did you end up getting the 9v charger from Blu yesterday? I'm really interested in your results.
sorry for the late reply. needless to say, the charger BLU sent was a 5v1a. i called them back and they said thats the only chargers they give through warranty, and that they dont know why in was told id be sent a quick charger.
i bought this, and still only see 4v and 1.2a while charging. obviously it is not enabled in the device. can we say false advertisement?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019GQ6S2C/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_09krxbC05ZDXM
i am going to file a report with the FTC addressing this issue as it is illegal.
That's really unfortunate. Blu does supply a 9v/2a quick charger for the Pure XL phone. The Pure XL also has a Mediatek processor so if any charger from Blu could give the Vivo XL quick charging, that would be it. If you make enough trouble for them, they might send you the Pure XL charger! I agree that Blu's ad is extremely misleading. I like this phone otherwise, but Blu's customer service is pretty incompetent.
^the charger i bought from amazon is a 9v/2a, so using the charger from pure xl wont make any difference. quick charge is just not inside the device, guess BLU realized at some point before production began that it would dip too much into their profits if selling the phone for $150usd.

The charger you got from amazon is 9v/2a, but it's based on Qualcomm's Quick Charge technology. it'll only work on phones with Qualcomm processors that support the Quick Charge standard.
Vivo XL uses a Mediatek processor. So Qualcomm Quick Charge chargers won't work on the Vivo XL. You'll need a charger that supports Mediatek's 'Pump Express' technology. http://www.mediatek.com/en/features/power-management/pump-express/
you cant buy that charger anywhere though, so i cant even test it. also, someone on another forum said they got a blu device to accecpt the qualcomm charger, actually, it was a youtube video.

Very slow charging (measured with meter)

Model: CLT-AL00 (Dual SIM)
Build: 8.1.0.131 (C675)
Location: India
Chargers tested: Original box charger, Tronsmart Quick Charge 2.0 charger, Choetech Quick Charge 2.0 power bank
How is the charging speed for you guys? It has been over 24 hours since I received this phone and charging is too slow for me.
First of all Huawei cheated us Indians by not bundling supercharger and choosing to include a 9V/2A charger instead. It would have been great if the phone charged at least to that spec.
In 30 minutes, my P20 Pro charges about 14% (i.e. from 4% to 18%). And I wasn't using the phone. I first tried the charger/cable that came with it (upon which the phone displays fast charging) then my old Tronsmart Quick Charge 2.0 charger and finally Choetech QC 2.0 16000mah power bank. Although Huawei does not use QC, it should at least charge on 5V/2A speeds.
I used a USB meter to measure the output and was surprised that the phone uses only 5V/0.8A regardless of whether the screen is on or off. My S8+ uses 8.8V/1.6A (with Tronsmart and Choetech) while the screen is off and 5V/1.5A when the screen is on. At 5V/0.8A speed it could take 3 or 4 hours to charge the massive 4000mah battery.
What about you guys? I am wondering if I have a defective hardware and should replace within the window.
Also considering the phone supposedly uses "AI" everywhere to learn your patterns, did the charging speed improve over time or has it been the same since day 1?
You will only get fast charging with the 1st party charger. Its proprietary technology.

I understand that. But even 1st party charger is only drawing 5V/0.8A power, just like a 3rd party charger.
Any 2A charger (1st party or not) should be capable of providing at least 5V/1.8A power. But here it isn't, which is why I am wondering if this is an issue with the my particular phone itself.
Does it have this written on the 1st party charger?

We don't get supercharger here in India. We get a 2A fast charger.
you will have to buy a supercharger from ebay.in. I just bought one for INR 1800
Quick charge should still give you at least 40% in 30 minutes. Your phone seems faulty to me
Hi, I have P20 Pro from over a week. I replaced Mate 10 Pro with P20 Pro and I don't understand why P20 Pro charges slower in my car than Mate did.
Mate was charge ~10-15% in 40-60 minutes when connected to car. P20Pro is charging ~2-3% at the same time.
I don't uderstand why. Both of phones have the same battery, the same CPU. That difference with charging exists only in car.
Thanks in advance for any solutions

yes, shows supercharging on lock screen
To know 2 ways how much Ampere it charges, then download app called Ampere it will tell you how much Ampere each charger gives. With SuperCharger it should say around 4500-4800Ampere.
The second way to know it's using supercharge is that it has 2 lightning icons connected in battery icon and that it says supercharge.
I've noticed that even if you have a supercharger, you need to have a proprietary cable AS WELL to get supercharge.
Otherwise you get bog standard charging, which takes about 2 hours to charge (I think. Never charge my phone from 0)

Fast charging with USB-PD

Has anybody tried any charger with USB-PD or qualcomm quick charge on the XZ3? I've tried my Pixel 2 XL charger and a type-c to type-C cable to my computer, both of which prompt a "Charging rapidly" message on my Pixel, but not on the XZ3. It also seems to physically charge at a slower rate than the Pixel.
all my quick chargers (2 and 3) charge slow. Only the USB-C to USB-C charger from my nexus seems to chatge a bit faster. I will try tomorrow with a USB Power Delivery Charger.
So, it charges much faster with USB-C Power Delivery, more than 1% per minute. Only the last 10% take long of course.
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B079L8BKPK/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Apparently the XZ3 does not have QC3.0? It doesn't say so on the website specifications. I'm also getting slow charging speeds. Can anyone else confirm?
Sony has indeed disabled Quick Charge and only supports USB-PD. The bundled charger does neither and charges slowly.

Yes it's certainly fast, just strange that there is zero indication that it's happening. So used to seeing it on Pixel/P20 Pro etc
Received my charger yesterday.
Checked the charging speed with "AccuBattery" and i can confirm that it charges now at the same rate or maybe a bit quicker than QC3.
My XZ3 never tells me that is charging quicker, but it really does.
60-65% in 1 hour.

It used to say "charging rapidly" on the xperia z2 though. You can download the app Ampere and you'll see the fast charging speed.
In 2014, USB Power Delivery goes to revision 2. The USB Type-C connector is chosen as the only compatible connector. Unlike the first revision, which made it possible to configure the charging power thanks to the "power wire", you will now need an additional wire to manage this communication which will connect the 2 DC (Configuration Channel) terminals on each side of the USB cable. -C <-> USB-C. The charging configurations are now: 5V / 3A (15W), 9V / 3A (27W), 15V (3A) and 20V (5A). Attention, all chargers do not cover all configurations, remember to check the maximum power accepted by your device to buy the right charger or good external battery.
The Sony UCB32 USBC to USBC option cable for the XZ3 is 20v / 3a input and output or 60w
According to my research, the sony xperia xz3 would accept a charge of 45 watts via power delivery or 15 volts under 3 amperes

45W is very close to the super VOOC charging of the OPPO Find X Lambo edition , which is a ridiculous implementation. That phone has two batteries which are charged in parallel, through a very thick, proprietary cable and charger. I don't think the XZ3 supports any more that 15 or 20 watts at peak power, even with a capable charger.
Xperia XZ3 with USB Power Delivery instead of Quick Charge
This is indicated by the official device specification available on the Sony Mobile website. This is very important information because USB Power Delivery is a technology incompatible with any other - including Quick Charge.
The reason for the change may be the openness of this fast charging standard. And also its price, or more precisely its lack.
The difference, at least when it comes to charging time, is, in theory, a plus. This is indicated by the maximum power values that can be used during charging.
When charging with Quick Charge, we can deliver up to 18 W (QC 3.0) or 27/28 W (QC 4/4 +). But the latter is rarely used - Sony has stopped at version 3.0, and the competition even reaches 2.0!
USB Power Delivery, or USB PD for short, allows you to charge even with a power of up to 100 W (20 V @ 5 A). Of course, so much Xperia will not use, but almost half of this value, as much as possible.
USB Power Delivery in Xperia XZ3
According to information from Zackbuks, XZ3 uses the second (2.0) version of USB PD, which in this model allows charging with a maximum current of 15 V and intensity up to 3 A.
USB Power Delivery
As you can see on the above entry (coming from the Weibo site), XZ2, which uses QC 3.0, allows you to charge a maximum of 13 W. This is much lower than the 45 W value that USB PD in XZ3 should allow.
Power Delivery versus ...
At present, Power Delivery uses, among others, Google on Pixel and Pixel 2 devices, LG on G7 or Essential Phone on their first (and only) device. However, it is a charge using a maximum of 18 W, not 45. Charging with this power does not knock the knees too much - according to the HomeTop test allowed charging from a maximum of ~ 23 mAh per minute. In the same test, QC 3.0 allowed ~ 30 mAh / min.
Let's hope that the higher power that Xperia can use will affect the charging much faster. We regret that Sony did not recognize that it's worth giving a 3.0 version right away. On the one hand, Sony has never liked novelties, and on the other, the differences between 2.0 and 3.0 are purely cosmetic and do not affect the loading itself. At least according to the specifications.
Chargers
The biggest downside of this change is that older chargers are not compatible with USB Power Delivery. For this reason, Sony must issue a new quick charging charger. Looking through the prism of existing chargers, there will definitely be one on the market that will support Power Delivery and Quick Charge standards. With the fact that this change will take a while, and the charger will not find, unfortunately, in the box with the device.
Maybe Sony will release a charger supporting the additional MediaTek-Pump Express standard? This would allow Xperia support with MTK processors to be maintained. It seems to us that Sony will probably continue to release devices from the lowest shelf with these processors.

I'm not very familiar with PD and it's proper charging speeds, so if you could enlighten me with this that would be great. I'm using a PD charger and getting a charging speed of 2300 mAh when using Ampere to check. It's fairly the same speed as when using a QC 3.0 charger with my Xperia XZ Premium. Does that mean PD should be charging at a faster rate compared with QC 3.0?
This is my charging speed.
