I don't know about minecraft 100% but i think worst case you could install the .deb for it...
and you can dual boot with berryboot.

Donkey Kong.. original arcade

After about an hour of searching this forum, and many links for games and emulators from this forum, I cant find the only games I really want. The classic arcade version of Donkey Kong, and the Legend of Zelda. I know I could probably have the both of these with a nintendo emulator, but the 5 or so links to download different emulators never worked. Does anyone out there have a working .bin emulator file, or just the games themselves. Thanks.
Well i found this. I dont know if this is what you looking for. But just trying to help.

There are more emulator games on the site. You just have to find them.
Would have been exactly what I wanted, but they dont work with the Kaiser. Always prompted with "file error". Thanks.
Anyone have either of these games already.
thats weird they work on mines. sorry it didn't work. If i find more ill post it here
Thanks... I'll try again, but it seemed the java that they run off was conflicting with my phone.??? Are you running an Emulator with them, or just straight off the website?
Have you tried Pocketnes? I have a few hundred games that all work flawlessly. Which rom are you using? There are a few roms that it wont work with.
I'm not using one yet. Everytime I install one, it never works, or just doesnt download.. I'll try pocketnes though... don't think I've tried that one. Thanks.

I have PocketSnes, but I can't get Roms to work, when I load them they freeze my device. I tried Killer Instinct and The Avengers, anyone know of any issues with these.
I also have pocketSnes and have both those games running just fine, most likely your rom. Which are you using?
Probably a useless reply (sorry!) lol
But i did manage to find a copy of zelda thats a stand alone java application.
Try searching for zelda+winmo+java maybe.
Sorry dont have time to upload it somewhere for yea atm.
My kid is a huge zelda fan - Its NOT for me. Thatd be quake2
Have you tried MAME for PPC? It's called MAMECE3:
http://www.mameworld.net/mamece3/
I imagine it shouldn't have any problems running an older game like Donkey Kong!
As far as the original Legend of Zelda goes, have you tried PocketNES?:
http://pocketnes.retrogames.com/
Of course, finding the ROMs is a question of legality.. You could try building a ROM dumper and dumping the contents of the chips in that old Donkey Kong arcade machine in your garage.. (you know, the one sitting next to the box with the old Legend of Zelda cartridge in it!)

YAY! I got my Streak 7 Today, Rooted just now.

Ok YAY I decided to get the Streak 7 vs the Sam Tab. Why? Dual core ftw. That is root and future ready right there. =)
So I will be joining this section too now to see whats up and learn and pass that info on to others too.
Btw for those using the 1 click root. I had to disable my AV (Kaspersky), Used 1.5.5 (not 1.7.0) and SOMETIMES You need to unplug and turn off the streak 7 and back on to try again till it works the root. In the end it will root.
Now to figure out which rom to use..
Good to hear that buddy. actually there is no ROM s, only tweaks. I'm trying the figure about compiling a ROM (porting of course). But, hey, how the DS7 is working for you?
Its working well. No regrets and N64 emulator works well on it. =D Also waiting on new custom roms, or more importatly. Debian or some form of Linux. I mean A dual core tablet should be able to perform decently. Or is there something now for Linux?

Switching from Windows 8 to Ubuntu

I have always been a Windows user, however I recently ordered 2 Samsung 840 Pro SSDs, which i was going to use for a Raid 0 setup with windows 8. However when UPS came to drop them off, I go to get them from my front door, and come to find my windows pc on a BSOD.. Annoyed i decide I want to use one of these SSD's to install Ubuntu or some other distro (decide on ubuntu) and install it on a SSD, and use as my main OS.
Keep in mine I have used Ubuntu before and tried out other distros but never as my main OS. Usually in virtual box or maybe a dual boot that ends up getting deleted later. But this time I wanted it to be different, I was going to set it up how i wanted it and keep and use it as my main OS.
So yesterday I did this, I installed Ubuntu 12.10 on this new SSD. When it is done, I restart and am amazed on how quickly it boots. I know this is mostly because of the SSD, but it just completely skipped the ubuntu dot loading/boot screen. Motherboard post, ubuntu purple real quick, flash and bam its on login screen. 15 seconds from the push of power button.
Anyways once im in ubuntu, first thing i do is check for any updates, install those. Then I reboot. Now this next part is the part I am worried about. Installing the AMD propriety drivers. This task in the past has never gone well with me. Drivers seem to install, but reboot to non booting ubuntu. Or super slow choppy ubuntu. Meanwhile thanks to http://wiki.cchtml.com/index.php/Ubuntu I finally successfully installed AMD drivers (13.1 catalyst to be exact) now extremely happy me goes to install steam for linux . Install it, login, and first thing i do is download/install team fortress 2. Once that installs I click play, and bam it opens and plays. You dont know how happy i was to see this considering I have tried about a month ago to install ubuntu in dualboot to test steam. And never could get the drivers right or load tf2. I now go to install all my other linux compatible steam games, my humble bundle games etc.
Anyways this is getting too long for you guys to read lol . For the next couple hours I installed all the programs i wanted (chrome etc) then I wanted to customize some things. I didn't like unity much, but since this is ubuntu all that can be changed.
I ended up installing:
Cinnamon 1.6 desktop environment
Elementary Luna Mod Cinnamon theme
Plank + ElementaryOS-plank theme
Pantheon-terminal (from elementaryOS , not really needed but like the look of it lol)
Elementaryish theme for GTK+ and window theme (as you can see I like eOS look)
Elementary-icon theme
For a end result of this
Screenshot: http://i1.minus.com/ibcjIiidyTMpHL.png
Conclusion: I really love my setup now and will difinaly be using it as my main OS. However the little gamer inside me needs windows installed somewhere, so ill be using a 2ND SSD for windows (along with a 1TB hdd) pretty much 100% for games. May even set it up to boot right to steam big picture mode if thats possible lol. But valves attitude towards linux, and the humble bundles are both very positive things!

If you don't care, or dont want to discuss on how it was switching for you (if you did switch) then you have no need to comment on this thread.
I dont care that you dont care
I would like to discuss.
Recently I upgraded to Windows 8 which is the most ****t* OS ever.
So I am thinking about changing to ubuntu but the only problem is I don't know if ubuntu can run all the windows softwares I am using at school

WINE will not run on the RPi as mentioned in the official Raspberry Pi FAQ's. To get Diablo 1 running you could use a PlayStation 1 emulator for the RPi and use the PlayStation version of the game to get it up and running on the RPi. Diablo 2 would be more difficult and require a different strategy, if you really wanted to you try and port it to use OpenGL to run the RPi but that would be a lot of work.
than my Dream of having a Computer only for the good Diablo games gone

Not to open an old thread, but have you tried the DosBox + Win98 trick? I use this trick to play the OG fallout on the pi3.
Tons of emulators out there. I'm sure you'll find a use. Pretty cool someone actually got Fallout running haha
I'm sure the N64 and Atari will work
Two great consoles
