Hey there Daniel! I'm on the Vodacom network as well. Could you please tell me what your cust version is? Maybe you can take a screenshot? I don't see a cust version on mine.

Some released firmware has UPDATE.APP for vendor. In can be found in folder named "Part 2". Inside of it you can find the file with a capacity of 17.9 kb. Hoping that Vodacom released it somewhere.

The Turkish version of b619 has it. I tried using it before and it works on 3.0. I modified it to get onto cust 432. I tried it now again but it doesn't work for 3.1.

I know it has. But we need CUSTC02 to get this firmware B817 work for non Vodacom user. 432 or 433 and etc. wont make this firmware work normally except having CUSTC02. This firmware can be used by Vodacom user only normally without having CUST error during installation.

Anyway, no problem about bootloader locked. I kept my unlocked code. But, still not working on B817. Still we need CUSTC02.

It's not so much of an issue from what can see. I did a factory reset and restored all my apps and data to see what happens. Still the same except that I now have LTE. Still no cust. If you have a look at the cust folder for our network, you'll see that there are masses of applications that will automatically install, all of which I am not partularly interested in. All I am interested in is the fact that everything runs and runs more smoothly than any other version I have used before, and there are no visible bugs so far

I totally agree with @rodlane .... this build is almost bug free .... only navigation bar hide option is not there .... and the battery is good .... i use 3g network all the time so it doesn't last long but no more mediaserver issues and no more heating ...... also with the built in lollipop battery saver function it is better then ever but huawei has hidden it dunno why but This app opens it :laugh:

Guys please help me I'm stuck on b800 after downgrading from b817, now I can't upgrade nor downgrade to kitkat..every rom file I flash it fails on 2%..I'm running stock firmware not rooted...

After several days finding ways how to successfully install B817 without CUST error, finally I made it. Now by playing the Vendor CUSTC version, I finally managed to change my vendor version to CUSTC02.

If you bought it in the Netherlands, and its a single sim... you could flash a rom for the C432 variant... Try this..
http://www.stechguide.com/download-huawei-p9-b180-marshmallow-firmware-europe/
Youll need an SDCard reader if your phone is dead.. and follow the instructions to "Force Flash" your device with a "FULL" package.. not an update.. a full package is usually about 2.5 - 3GB+ when unzipped
Remember.. Before flashing any rom... Check your devices Model No, and Match the Rom to it.. Your full phone model may look like this:EVA-L09C432B182..
the P9 uses CUSTC prefix for their roms.. the EU one is "C"432.. but you can flash a "C"900 on an EU/UK P9.. so READ READ READ everything about flashing, before you even Start..
Good Luck

Dc Phoenix and Dc Unlocker is a trusted site, if u search the forum u can see that lot of people has used it to unlock bootloader and repair the phone. But u need some skills in flashing and repair to use it so u know. But if your phone can go to fastboot mode u can repair your phone. U can use HuaweiUpdate Extractor to extract update.app and flash with fastboot adb. This is a giude to P8.

Hmm... Ive never used "update" packages on any device ive had.. only "Full" ... especially when your changing OS builds.. "KK > LP > MM " I leave that to the DEVS and their OTAs, but when it comes to manual flashing.. always use FULL packages.. Also, HiSuite will only let you do a Recovery if the Recovery Rom is already on the device in a Backup partition... Its not like SONY or LG, where the Software downloads it from their servers..
Good luck with getting this sorted Mikxx, Lets know how you get on

Device Won't Boot After "Device Is Now Booting" Screen

Hello,
I have just unlocked my HuaWei P9 and installed TWRP 3.0.0-0 on it.
The device was refusing to install SuperSU as it kept saying the zip was corrupt, even though it definitely wasn't. (I even tried multiple different ones)
Then I saw a tutorial that said this can be fixed by going into the Wipe menu, Advanced Wipe, selecting Data and changing the file system to EXT4. I did that (even though it was already on EXT4) and now my device won't boot past the "your device has been unlocked and can't be trusted. To learn more, visit: (link)
Your device is booting now...." screen.
Please may anybody help me? I can access the recovery menu and the TWRP menu, but not the actual android os. In the TWRP file viewer, the device is not blank so I know that the device has not been erased.
Thank you very much! I am not bothered about rooting anymore, I would just like my device to work. Any help will be very much appreciated.

I have all of the original packaging, is there any way to find out more information about my device through that?
EDIT: I have managed to find out the IMEI, if that is of any use.
Did you take note of your current ROM version that is on the phone? It should be named like this for example.
L09C432B136
L09C is the model no of the phone e.g EVA-L09C.
C432 is the CUST (Also for OEMinfo)
B136 is the build number of the ROM.
Did you flash any roms or are you still using the original ROM that came with the phone? Also do you remember if you were on marshmallow or nougat?

I did not note any information as I wasn't expecting to have any issues, I've rooted a few phones before and have never encountered any issues.
I managed to fix the issue by using the above method with both volume buttons and the power button - I downloaded "dload-huawei-p9-eval09-eva-b136.zip" and installed that ROM, which was successful
Thank you so much for your help.
No worries. That is usually a failsafe version in case anything goes wrong. Network for 3g/4g is working I hope and build number is displayed fully in settings right?
As different CUST ID from ROM can cause many issues.

Unlock bootloader, flash twrp and install update.zip and full_update.zip for your device
Or you could try to find the files to update the devices via dload to a other firmware, but I'm not sure that works, because you want to change the cust.

Finally Got the Nought Latest Update with the help of Local Huawei Service Center, because my Cell still under warranty and they Changed Motherboard

It seems there are updates bu I'm stuck on B170

Hello,
I have a PRA-LX1 C432 unbranded and the updater keep saying I have the latest official update B170.
Using HFF we can see B181, 183 and 191 for C432 model. But... making a system dump of these builds we can see that there is in build.prop "generic_15" as phone model...
So I didn't install anything...
- Are the builds from HFF trustables ??
- Is there a way to force the update?
thanks!

Hi m8,
The firmware from Firmware Finder is the OTA one like the one HiSuite or eRecovery uses when makimg an update.
As for customisation, you can't use other cust firmware on your cust because you will get softbricked (ex. flashing international C432 on Canadian C792).
