Moto actions no-stock - Moto G 2015 Themes and Apps

Hi all, is there a way to keep moto actions on no-stock rom, whit a porting or something like this? Thanks in advance..

If you build a custom ROM based off of a stock build I believe you can. However I haven't found a custom ROM with the ability and believe it is closed source.

Well, is it something like the slowmo function that need some motorola stock libs for working, or it simply "a gesture" and nothing else? what i would to know is that if is enough fash some ported app like "moto" or "moto actions" for have gestures working on no-stock roms!

I tried just installing the moto apk for that but I get a popup saying not official Motorola device. The function is a mirror of ambient display sort of. Moto actions (chop chop, double twist) are already implemented in most custom ROMs for our device. (Including official CM)
Another user made a package for the moto camera and gallery with play store hooks, I'm gonna try that and installing moto with it. I'll report back.

Chop chop and double twist are what I'm talking about, and if you say that tery are already implemented on custom rom you have quite asked my question... For moto display, there is a xposed module working on the same way and for stock Motorola camera, when you try to flash it, take a look for the slowmo.. Thanks!

Glad I could help heh yeah they're called CMactions on custom ROMs.
These photos are what I get on cm12.1 rooted but I'll try xposed! I prefer moto display over ambient but haven't solved this yet. I got more faith now. :good:

The module it's called ac display, but.. I thinking about it, i remember that on CM 12.1 for moto g 2nd generation there is something very close this function, under "gesture" menu in display option, if I'm not mistaken... Try to take a look if you have this menu.. In this case, whit cm actions and cm gestures, the moto application it's useless, unless you use "do not disturb" function.. That if I'm not mistaken again, it's included on cm too!!!

You are doubly correct! [moto is absolutely useless, especially with the native Do Not Disturb settings from LP.]
(I turn off DT because it goes off so often in my pocket lol)
Thanks! I'm going to check that out, appreciate the share!

I'd love to see this running as a stand-alone flashable zip. It would be great to have on a N6! I believe they have most, if not all the necessary hardware, it just needs some libs and drm, probabaly

Well, there isn't nothing special hardware that N6 have not (unless your device hasn't accelerometer )
You cant try to ask in yor rom thread if somebody able to program can try to extract that functions from the CM for moto g 2015!!

Yes there is...the cpu, for example, has the ability to keep the display active while sleeping. There are differences, but I believe the N6 is essentially a twin of the retail Moto X, just in a different chassis.

Yes there is... the sensor hub in our device is the key here.
And all of that is coded on kernel drivers.
The app just listens to events from it.

Well... Different devices have different kernels due to different ram processor and other sensors.. But when a sensor like accelerometer or gyro are the same.. The function it might work on two different devices at the same way...

You can't.
Putting it simply: the IC in both devices doesn't have the set of instructions and physical capabilities to do it.

[Q + Poll] Phone wakelock - do you have

Are you experiencing the following Kernel wakelocks on your phone?
msm_serial_hs_dma
BTLowPower
The effect is that my phone (4.4.4) never ever sleeps, and sometimes get warm.
My GWR is running 5.0.2 with almost no whatchfaces and/or 3rd party apps. 5.0.1 was not different.
Please participate to the poll.
Thanks.
Am I really the only one with this issue?
Thanks for help.

You would probably have to provide more detail on how to easily determine someone has the issue.

I've just update my Z3 to stock 5.0.2 and the above wakelocks are still there!!
I reset the GWR, installed wear from scratch and removed all apps that had a related wear app.
What can I do more to trouble shoot it?
My phone is 100% awake when the watch is connected. As soon as I disconnect it goes back to sleep.
Any chance the phone or the watch are defective?
Thanks in advance.

Yeah. All those replacement apps add up.
200mb is small. This is a whole UI change. Not just a single file. This is like 20 apps or so. Firefox is a good size chunk of it. Then all the COS apps, MS apps, and extras like VLC, the Gesture mod, themes. Honestly this is small lol.
Installed it just now.. Looks nice. Will post my detailed observations in after a few days of use.

Honestly I might but not yet. This is just my personal mod I use.
How about this... How about you (or anyone) come up with some combinations.
I'll put them together and test (if I can).
If they're good... They will remain
Version 2 is up.
Changes are just simply removing the MS apps & SwiftKey.
Working on a third & forth version that uses the XTREMEMusic mod instead of MaxxAudio. Otherwise will mirror the first two versions.
I got the authors OK to use it awhile ago on UnityROM-4.
Version 3 posted. Details in OP. Enjoy
Does anyone know how to sign the zip to where Cyanogenmod Recovery will flash it? I saw opengapps and pa_gapps work. So I know it can be done
How is the battery life? Social media and playing, here, so kinda of a heavy usage.. How does it perform under heavy usage?
@ZX64 unfortunately I don't know how to sign a zip, but if I could give you an advice, I will divide the zip in "Minimal", "Medium" and "Complete" version, divided like this:
1) Minimal:
COS Theme Engine and Store,
COS MaxxAudioFX,
COS Hexo Theme,
COS GalleryNext,
COS Cortana,
COS Boxer Email and Calendar,
SwiftKey keyboard;
2) Medium:
Minimal +
Truecaller (PlayStore version),
Firefox,
Signal SMS (New Whisper Push app),
CameraNextMOD (CM13 version),
Metal (Very Lightweight Facebook/Twitter wrapper app);
3) Complete: all the apps.
This way, who just want to turn his cm13 nightly in a similar COS could do that with the Minimal package, and then who wants the other things can flash the other zip.
In my opinion, this could be great, I always waited for a "Minimal" package.

[APP][Moto Display]Activate Moto Display by waving over proximity sensor

Hello everybody.
We all know that Moto Display is very useful and shows incoming notification. In Moto G and E devices, it activates when the phone is moved from its position, or when a flip cover over the phone is opened. However I have heard that in Moto X devices, it activates even if you wave over the proximity sensor.
So I thought of making a small app that does the same. It is on Play Store.

As far as I know, CM 14.1 does not have Moto Display.
You can check that out by going to the "More Info" option at the bottom of the app. If you see that Moto Display is not supported (in red) then the app can't do anything.

This app does not use ambient light sensor. I have tested this app on stock 6.0.1 on G4 plus and G3. Also on stock 5.1.1 on G3. I didn't get any issues. I don't know what's wrong with stock 6.0.
