Is there any benefit buying it from Google Play?

Just to clarify, is there any particular benefit from ordering it from Google, as opposed to Ebuyer for example?
Certainly is to me.
If I have a problem, I don't want some other company in the middle.
I don't think you get the extra's like the £15 credit & the film unless you buy from Google.
Okay, so the £9 I could save getting it from Ebuyer is not really worth it?
ebuyer seem to suggest we do get the £15 credit - I didn't notice it when I ordered, I think it's been added since.

However, I cannot seem to find the footnote for the asterisk besides the line stating the £15 voucher :/
Yeah there's no footnote that I can see either. I'm sure they'll soon open a discussion thread for it, and plenty of people will be asking. I made the decision to order it from ebuyer not expecting to get the credit but it will be a nice bonus if I do. Delivery time was more important to me.
I couldn't find the * as well but if you look at the banner on the right hand side it doesn't show one
I used quidco and got 2% cash back (£4). Not much but every bit helps.
£196 for the tablet with £15 credit and free delivery. :good:
The credit and freebies seem
to be included with US retail sales. (Staples advertises the credit). I'm guessing that sales out of the US may or may not include them - but that there will be no difference between Google Play or third party sellers.
I assume that the main advantage is delivery time.
Google is presumably walking a tightrope, trying to both ensure consumer access to its hardware with Play, and trying to not undercut the retail channels it is wooing.
D'oh - Well spotted
This is the sort of discussion the stickies are for.

Indiegogo campaign open!
The Indiegogo campaign page is now open with status "Coming Soon". Here is some info:

Sorry to be asking that, but just to clarify:
- Are you planning on starting the campaign with only the mockups to show up or do you already have a prototype, contact with e.g. the keypad suppliers or anything palpable?
- Are you making all this (design, dealing with the campaign and production) alone?
- I understand you have won some kind of challenge, does that mean Lenovo will, in any way, help with the device production?

The prototype is under engineering. I have already broke 2 dev boards. We are getting there.
No I am partnering with a professional design and manufacturering company. They have partnership with Foxconn for all there devices, including this one. Will have professional quality control.
All your questions will hopefully be answered when the formal campaign launches

Spread the word via Twitter if you like!
Spreaded the word and backed the project. Really need the keyboard. It's too long ago we had a high end smartphone with a real five row landscape slider.
Just a reminder that only a few days are left and it's very close but not yet funded. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/keyboard-mod-a-physical-keyboard-for-the-moto-z/x/5633299#/
Now fully funded. I definitely got the right phone.
Oh my, I joined the Indiegogo campaign 4 days ago ... and today I bought myself a shiny new Moto Z Play
Coming from the (crappy!) Droid 4, i am really looking forward to an awesome keyboard.
Just before the super early bird got wiped out i jumped in on this...
Time to dump my blackberry priv and finaly get back to a phone with a full size keyboard !

Invest 20 usd, then have 1 million usd within 12 months (Must read or will regret)

Hi,
I am the most connected person with the group who are control the whole banking and money system ever appeared at the public.
All of what you guys are seeing (Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin unconfirmed transactions, etc.) is just a signal from the group behind.
That signal is very clear, the changing in Global Money System.
The reason Bitcoin and all other cryptocurrencies going to false and false quickly because of 2 reason:
1. The global currencies money reset. There will be a brand new money system will replace the current one.
2. The environment, mining bitcoin or any cryptocurrencies is extremely harmful to the environment.
If you want to know more about the Global Currency Reset, read this:

On the bright sight,
Bitcoin used to be cheap just like Zimbabwe money note now...
If you want to become rich, you just need to listen to me. Go buy a Zimbabwe note, there will be a group going to buy 1 million GBP per Zimbabwe note very very soon.
It is only cost around 20 usd per note. Remember Zimbabwe money note is very very limited and it all printed and finished long ago already. It is rarer than gold, silver, etc.
Imagine there is a news on the media like that? Zimbabwe money note picture used to be laugh for the entire world will be brought back !!! And this time it is much much more fun and entertainment.
I highly recommended all of you going to buy Zimbabwe money note right now, or you will miss the once in lifetime, and this chance will never comeback again !!!

Order delayed at Amazon

It appears Amazon is delaying at least some of the preorders of the Pixel 4 in orange until sometime between late November and January. I preordered on the first day (October 15) and just received an email that my phone won't be coming anytime soon. It was scheduled to be delivered today. I ordered it with the $100 Amazon GC, which has already shipped. Anybody else get a similar email from Amazon?

Lots of people. Take a look at the 4xl thread. People being charged $100 for the gift card if they cancel the order too. Basically screwed by Amazon if you want the device in a timely fashion.

I'm curious if you'd be able to do a chargeback for false advertisement or something.
I'm sure you could but they'd probably block you or something for purchasing phones in the future.
I'm honestly not surprised. This also happens with PC hardware orders very regularly. I've just learned to avoid trying to buy any newly released electronics from them. Sorry to see you're going through this. :/
Mine arrived 1 day ahead of time.
My Amazon package even lost somehow with courier 2 days ago...
