I just got my G2 on Friday and love it. I put a GadgetGuard (gadgetguard.com) screen protector on and ordered the Otterbox Commuter case. I hate the Defender case, too big and bulky. The screen protector is guaranteed for life!

Hey thanks for the reply. Do you think a tempered glass screen protector would fit with the otterbox commuter case or no?
I haven't ordered a phone yet but I've already placed orders for the iloome flex screen protector and the Diztronic case. I'm expecting it to still be very slim and minimalistic but still have protection from drops.

Thanks for the reply I was thinking about the iloome flex screen let me know how that works out and how it works out with the case because I know some SP's dont fair well with cases
Xtreme guard front and back protector and a body glove dropsuit working fine for me.
I've got the Diztronic TPU matte case and absolutely love it. Being TPU it will also allow neat and clean trimming if you have an oversized USB cable plug you use with an alternate charger (provided cable fits easily). I haven't ordered one yet but the iloome screen protectors (both flex glass and tempered glass look tempting). The tempered glass is thicker however.
whas going to install my iloom today.. but it feels to small. so back with my copter. always work never disappoint me. so now I got a unused iloom flex that is to expensive to send back (sweden-usa)
I ended up getting the Incipio feather Shine and the Glass+Zone tempered glass screen protector with a black border to cover the LG logo. The fit with the case and screen protector seems almost perfect, about 1mm of clearance on the edges. I have not installed the screen protector yet as it came today and I need to get home first!

Why would you cover the logo?
As for OP's question, I bought a Nillkin Frosted Shield case, which is more like a back cover. It looks and feels awesome, doesn't protect too much though. I use Obliq Zeiss screenprotector, which isn't tempered glass, but does feel like glass, so I'm quite happy with it.

Hi, couldn't find anything about Samsung galaxy s7 edge cover cases compatibility with glass screen protectors.
Is very strange that people don't wont to protect their phone (that already in the case) with tempered glass screen protectors...
I know that good quality cover case (both sides) will give good enough protection but.. is very normal that phone needs cleaning sometimes and not always you will have in your pocket a peace of cloth for cleaning phone screens. I may clean against may trousers or jacket, etc. For that I'll need glass protection.
Any idea? which cases will support glass protectors and I'm talk now about cases that are fully coves your phone including original Samsung cases.

Most do not work well with cases due to them being pushed up at the corners so everyone is waiting to see if better ones come out.

I thought that the thread you gave me link is only for glass screen protectors and almost nobody discuss a part of having two things - Fully covered cover + Glass scree protector.

I was simply pointing you to the main thread about the glass screen protectors. The main thing to take away from that is the fact that there are no good glass screen protectors yet based on the numerous reviews. Those issues won't change with a fully covered cover.
So far the best choice for a case compatible with glass screen protector seems to be Spigen Thin Fit and Ringke Air.
Anyone knows if Ringke Fusion Crystal View and Samsung Clear Cover are glass screen protector friendly?

Don't think it will be compatible. It's hard to tell. Also retract my comment above about the Ringke being ok. Looking again at my cases it depends heavily on top and bottom.
If you can tell from the photos, it's the cases which sort of "hug" the edges by a mm or two as opposed to those overlap by a few more mm on to front glass.

Someone had a review on his gpell and it fit the commuter just wondering if the amazingthing will achieve the same
Poetic Revolution and Supcase Unicorn beetle pro cases should fit. as the top layer of cases go over the top of the screen protector not lifing it up. 2 part cases on amazon both under 20 bucks.

So far they don't work. I bought two. One of them was a super guardz brand and the other a vetroo. The adhesive is only used on the edges and the top and bottom so it's not like the usual tempered glass that sticks to the screen with an adhesive that's all over the protector. They're very flimsy and click a lot and won't work with a case. I preordered the OtterBox defender and I'm waiting the 1-2 months that it will take for it to come. I will be careful until then.

I had that Nano liquid screen protector on my Nexus 6 and it worked great I did drop it one time and it did not scratch at all. Now will it protect better than a glass one idk. But it's better than nothing.

Xtremeguard wet apps are great for the price and stuck well to the corners. Some cases will still push it up tho.
Skinomi has the best full body protection I've seen so far, but will only work with certain cases too.
Tempered glass protectors have yet to work on any edge device to my knowledge.
Samsung official pet/dry film protectors look like they have a great fit as well, but will have issues with lifting from most cases too.
Hope some of that helps dude.

On your recommendation, that's what I'm getting until things shake out a little more. I was going to be patient until my Spigen case came in but it arrived 6 days early, lol! Now I just want to put the Note 4 away and slap a sim in the 7! I could go back to T-Mob and have them put something on, but they just pissed me off!
I have been reading that none of the curved screen protectors out now work. They are saying that they only have adhesive on the sides. Hope they will come out with one that works good.
Screen protector case combos are slim to none on phone. Spigen worked well with the skinomi, leaving edges in tact, however the bezel covers made it much harder (than the s7 edge) to get on. Overall fit and feel are good, providing better clarity and original feel compared to xtremeguard. Product fails for me because it was $30+ and the side protection was useless. I would rather spend my cash with xtremeguard and get quintuple the product. One corner refuses to go down, and is gonna bug the living hell out of me. Definitely paying for the name and advertising with this one.
Will add a few pics later on.
After searching Amazon and other sources, I decided to go with a temporary solution for now. None of the reviews can be trusted yet.

I called amazon and theu refunded me the $30 on the skinomi for the extended install time and the bunk quality of the side protection. My advice, go with Xtremeguard, they have kicked /-\$$ in every device I have had and they are beyond afforable.
I took my keys today and put them in the pocket my phone was guess the results? Perfectly fine everyone will believe anything and everything they see get a nice case and you will be fine... this is my 12th galaxy device and by far the freaking best...

The OtterBox tempered glass screen protector in this video looks interesting because it is cut smaller so it won't interfere with cases. Unfortunately, it is the most expensive of the bunch. (I am not affiliated with the video creator in any way.)

Thanks everyone is tripping about that YouTube video with the scratch test. I don't think I will be scratching my phone with something as hard as the guy in the video did.

Yeah i think we all need to find a screen protector cause excuse my language but this is complete bull****. My phone has so many niks & scratches on it that it sickens me. Not even a wk with this dam thing never touched anything hard, nevet dropped & unless in my hand it sits in my pocket. Oh yes. I always have screen protector and case in hand before I order any phone.
I just get cheapies to tide me over until what I really want comes out. So far the "MoKo Flexible TPU Bumper" case and the "G-Color (wet application)" screen protector (2-pack).
I assume that Whitestone will release a glass protector in the near future and I like the Samsung Clear View cases. I might be able to order the Clear View case when I pre-order the phone, but you never know, so I spent the $8 on the MoKo case.

Don't order your case from Samsung with the same order as the phone otherwise the phone may get delayed if the case is not available.
I'm buying those cheap deals before launch so that it's not nude when I get it. Then I'll take my time to pick up the better stuff.

I don't know if it's a gimmick and it does seems a little strange to me. This is my first curved edge phone (had the note 7 for only a short amount of time) that I plan to put a screen protector on. I want to get tempered glass because I want it to be super smooth for S-Pen. I heard that with other protectors they only have adhesive on the edge which can cause a loss in touch sensitivity. I don't know how true it is but I decided to try this one because it has adhesive over the whole thing. I found this video https://youtu.be/-fbZ9HtcYOA to be the deciding factor for me.

I preordered the Grey Alacantra case. I seen that with those cases most of the screen protectors offered will not work
together. I want the Whitestone protector but dont want to waste money if they dont work together.... Any thoughts

I'm eyeballing the Whitestone screen protector, but I'll probably get something less spendy to start with, until I determine which case I'm going to get and can confirm that the Whitestone will work with it. I'll likely get a cheapish case (practical, but not fancy) until I see what's available.

I have a Spiegen NeoHybrid, Samsung Alcantera, and Samsung this plastic case that I alternate between. But right now I'm using a DBrand skin on the back of it. I've never been a fan of cases and I'm taking my chances with the skin but it does increase the grip of it compared to the glass back. I don't use a screen protector because I haven't found one that feels quiet the same to write on using the S-Pen compared to a naked display. I feel putting anything on the screen reduces the touch sensitivity as well.
I started with the (official) Samsung Rugged Cover, got tired of the bulk after a couple months and switched to a substantially thinner PEEL case. After about a month realized that the extremely thin PEEL case wasn't offering any better protection than a wrap/skin, I installed a "full body" wrap. That lasted all of about 5 frustrated minutes.
I enrolled in Samsung+ Care and will let them "cover" my beautiful, bare, Note8 should something happen.
I use Samsung's flip case. It gives me protection for the screen and back and it provides a stand for watching videos ... very happy with it!

I always use a case. A relatively thin case but one that gives some protection. I also use a magnetic car mount so I need a case to hold it in place.

Started off with the OtterBox Defender and skinomi wet install screen protector but got tired of the hard case removal process with the Defender when using the Gear VR headset. So now I'm using the Official Samsung Rugged Protective case with no screen protection. Haven't had a screen protector on in over a month and still have not a single scratch.
Back protection(wet or dry install) is really great, it guards against all type of particles when you use any type of case!

I bought my Skinomi back clear skin from Amazon. You may have to buy the full kit and just use the back part.
