I am not 100% sure if we should set this as Software or General... I agree with you that this is important but I think its more General than Software.
Other way it's right it is a piece of software and we have MCU modding in SW-Dev-Section, too so I will move this and leave a redirection.
I will stick this thread in Software as it's of high importance and @Malaysk does a very good job keeping this up to date
Means fully compatible of HA and BN that I can put it on my KGL5 or the other way so if you have BN/HA you can use every MCU you want?

It's not in the list, so must be new. You'll probably need to contact supplier/manufacturer for img file as there is currently no way to dump the mcu

Just to clear things up: From what I can tell, the KGLx MCU's are not compatible with each other- except the ones marked as "compatible 0-5" up to version 2.72 and NOT 2.80. Is that correct?

Button illumination
My button illumination is always on (with or without ILLUM wire connection / lights state).
I searched and found several posts but I cannot fin definitive answer is this issue MCU version realted. My version is stock KGL v2.80 (it come original with unit, didnt updated it, just updated system to Malaysk latest ROM).
This issue may not be directly related to this thread, but if it is MCU version related please confir / give some hint how to resolve (or where to go to ask help further).
Thanks for any help! It is very annoying issue and I'm sure other people may be thankful if someone helps on this.

Noisy DVD/CD after radio (radio don't turn off)
Hello.
Thanks for your great job with this mods! I'd like to cooperate telling you some issues I found in my unit.
I have a KGL unit (Corolla 2009-2011), and I realized two issues with recent MCU:
- Radio does not turn off completely when we choose DVD/CD after using radio. If I'm using radio and so choose DVD/CD, a huge noise appears. If I soft turn off (long press in power button) and turn on again, or if DVD is the first to be used when I turn on my unit, audio works fine.
- Buttons lights are always on. It does not recognize when I turned on the headlights. In ancient MCUs it worked fine (like when the unit comes new, with original s/w). I've already changed the 'ley light' flag in factory settings, and It did not worked.

About custom photo/video resolution:
There is no way to have 16:9 photos or video recording in 1080p - application already using all supported resolutions.
And there is no way to add something else - unless someone will modify camera driver.
About Green/Yellow color in photos:
This is a camera driver bug - nothing I can do.

I have a Memopad 8 ME581C (K01H) and I hope some help.
I don't find more subjects about it but if I compare (see below) MemoPad 8 (ME581C) (K01H) with MemoPad 7 (ME572C), I think they are very similar.
1) Can we say all tips and tricks for ME572C are good for ME581C too ?
I search search a tool or a mean to root my ME581C, can I use the root tools for ME572C ?
I tryed RootZenFone-1.4.6.8r on my ME581C (KVT49L.WW_epad-11.8.2.71-20141231) but it's wrong.
2) Is it possible to have Topics/Subjects for Memopad 8 with/inside Memopad 7 sub-forum ?

You may find more Asus hacks related resources on Shakalaka's blog http://23pin.logdown.com/ (use google transate). He is "responsible" for ROOT ZenFone app.
Have a look at software and hardware versions embedded in the Memo 7(in French ); note that I applied the 8.3.30 OTA update provided by Asus :

Does anyone recognize this type of image distortion, and what settings can avoid it?
I'm guessing it's unavoidable as something baked-in to how the camera tries to do selective image stacking/bracketing on only certain parts of the image, and being too unsophisticated to do it right.
This motivates me to finally figure out how to install google camera.

Hardware problem i think
While you seem to have more knowledge on the depth of this camera, I thought I'd mention this just in case.
I'm a huge fan of portrait mode for subjects within 3-6 feet in the stock Samsung camera because you can do tricky filters in post. I very often use the "color point" effect in particular. As the software tries to isolate the color of the subject, if the background colors are within similar saturation/temperatures it'll occasionally "bleed" into the subject's colors & create a halo effect.
Here's an example of one I took this morning. In my case, this is normal since the dog's fur color shares similarities with the hard wood. So some of the "blondish brown" in the wood bled through & created the halo effect you can see around the dog - particularly around the ears.
Again, this probably isn't the case with you. Definitely try another camera app as you stated.
the second image implies that the shutter was kept open a bit too long and the camera captured variations of the bird flocks' wing/position hence ghost images imprinted. The camera may have done so to take additional reference images to use in order to perform the fine touch but ended up producing this compilation of a mess.
i would try reproducing the issue if it's quite consistent, then report to samsung members app > get help > error report and attach the original image

Would you agree that it's impossible to control the "fine touch" image stacking?
When you look at the EXIF data for that bird wing flapping shot, the shutter speed reported by the camera is faster than the blink of the eye, only 1/613 second.
There is NO WAY a bird can flap his wing faster than 1/613 of a second, not even a hummingbird (their flapping is more like 1/10 second or 1/15 second per flap).
So my point is why did the camera report a shutter speed that is extremely fast, yet the camera shows wings in different positions, and therefore I cannot change a setting that would affect this.
Increasing shutter speed would not affect this, I'm just confused? Is there a global camera setting that a user can change to prevent this weird mismatch?

Yeah... I've never seen that before (first image).
Shoot similar shot in raw mode. If it persists it's likely a hardware failure.
Throw it back at Samsung and let them sort it out.

I don't know the full detail of how samsung's camera works behind all them programmings.
My assumption is that the main photo (one you captured) takes that fast shutter image that it is set to, uses other lenses or maybe the same lens to take addition references to do its thing and attempt to make a better image.
The best DIY tests I got in mind is to try using the RAW Expert camera app to strictly remove as much of the algorithm as possible and see if it's still doing this.
If it is, then maybe I was wrong in assuming it was the algorithm acting out and really is a hardware issue.
Another option is to just go and have the camera module replaced and see if that fixes the issue.
One other test option is to use another app to see if it does the same thing. since the 3rd party app won't be affected by samsung's default image processing algorithm as much (hence people complaining about poor 3rd party app image quality lolol)
