Brilliant!! Thank you very much working on MM

Can you please also provide the stock boot logo.bin ???

Dear Hawk
Thank you Thank Thank you!!!! Finally a boot image that works! simple, straight forward non animated and beautiful! I no longer have to stare at that awful BL unlocked warning anymore! hooray!! just a word of suggestion, not everyone here is savvy about running fastboot etc or fastboot adb. To be quite frank because I was tired and havent been using fatsboot for much longer than 2 months I also forgot to place the logo.bin file in my platforms-tools folder, until I did that I just got the fastboot is not a recognised bla blabalbla.. warning. then suddenly some brain functions returned and I recalled how to do it! so for all noobs out there dont forget if you want this beautiful piece of art to work on your phone before opening up your terminal to issue the commands remember to place the extracted bin file into your platforms-tools folder (wherever yours happens to be?), example mine is located here:
C:\Users\********\AppData\Local\Android\sdk\platform-tools
then once youve navigated to your platforms-tools folder hold shift key and right mouse button and select open command prompt window here, copy and paste this command:
fastboot flash logo logo.bin
into your commmand prompt or as I like to call it out of habit from my linux days the terminal or shell. some people willl refer to adb shell as the correct terminology when talking about android specifically. thats my 2 cents, good day hope this helps my fellow noobs? peace.

A splash screen is a screen that opens while something else is loaded that helps the user verify that they did in fact initiate an action (booting, opening photoshop, etc) like the grey Apple screen on a Mac or the Windows logo when you boot a PC. On your phone, the splash is the Androids on skateboards screen. You'd see it if you rebooted your phone.

I'm pretty sure the answer to this question is "yes" but do you have to be rooted to change the splash screen?
If so, is there a version of the 2.1 OTA that is rooted and will look and work just like stock?
Thanks

[TOOL][FASTBOOT] QuikIMG - A frontend for fastboot [0.2 beta][22 Mar]

QuikIMG
A small tool I made to flash .img files through fastboot easily and quickly, without the need to type in commands manually. Originally I only made it for personal use but I decided to release it here. Someone might find this useful.
Q: FlashTool has this feature. Why bother?
A: Just because I can. Use whichever you prefer.

Code:

Then drag the .img from your download folder to the CMD window and it will enter the full path for you (with quotes if required).

This program was designed for the Moto G and doesn't seem to work with quark (at least, I can't get it to work). All the logos I make give me a black screen at boot, and it also messes up the headings in my bootloader menu. If it's not too much work, would you mind posting a guide on how to make custom logo.bin files?

You could also rename it to 0PJAIMG.zip and have it on ext SD. Boot into download and it'll ask if you want to update or flash it or something. Only thing is I think there's still a period from the red text but looks a lot better.
Will fix it tomorrow thanks for the heads up
Has this been tested? For peace of mind could you post a pick of the splash without the red text?

Got a date the one from the German site was created?? You make accusations but bring NO proof except that it's also on another website... you need proof of who uploaded it first if you want to prove who the one to blame is.
Also, it's not a crime to post someone else's work to share with users here. Should the credit be given if the OP didn't create it?? Yes. Is it the end of the world??? LOL no

You want proof? I give evidence !
1 - I am the owner of the site , so that the site So Bootlogo is the link to my site , Só de Android .
2 - It was posted on the site much earlier than in the forum.
3 and end - I have the two original photos used to do is bootlogo.
What upset me was not the fact that he share , but to share as if he had done that and even changed the name .
And I speak Portuguese , this post was all translated by google translator.
THis is so stupid! Who cares? It's an image. Get over it!

This seemed to break my charging animation when powered off.
I flashed one of the alternate inverted boot images and it works again. Also changes look of bootloader screen. Not a big deal but just noticed..
Nice, works fine for me. Can i get wallpaper with the same picture?
