Do i need PIT file ?
THANK you
Did anyone try the update?
Sent from my SM-T531 using XDA Free mobile app
You shouldn't need a PIT file and as long as your hardware is the 910H, the region does not matter.
Alternate link
Anybody got an alternative link to Sammobile for the firmware download? I'm getting the speed of 15 kb/s download spead

Are you sure? Before when my device at 4.4 , it always require Pit file if i do flash different region .
Thank you
I updated to this version and it has the superheating problem so bad that my hand are swollen.
I've owned many Samsung devices, including the S, S2, S3, S4, Note 3 and Note 4 and I've never used a pit file once.
Never had to do it. I updated my 910H from 4.4 to 5.0.1 without a pit file. Just used the single file PDA and flashed it like always. No issues.

Still in the first hr. Recent apps no longer stutters. Never really had ram issues cuz I am in habit of closing all apps. Even if I am just using one.. but I just opened fb twitter Internet and xda app and switched between them.. seemed to work fine.. can't say much on battery too.. wud take couple of cycles atleast to settle down. . I don't usually fast charge my phone unless I am in a hurry but the setting is now so deep seeded I feel I shud only fast charge.. let's see..

Everything is going fine for me. I did not do hard reset. No heating or charging issues. Buttery smoothness is there. Everything is going great so far.

It would be great if someone could tel me how to make VoLTE work without rooting my phone
the sure way is to mod your stock volte rom yourself. It's very complicated to port it.

Thats because the 920C isn't a USA branded device. International only.. Works great with US carriers...
So what firmware can I use to keep from bricking it?

I wanna root and check out the s8+ rom if there is one. I like to tinker and see which roms I like the best.
Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk
You have plenty of choices there. I run a S8 port on my 920c they all run great when you look at the roms the dev will mention different models his rom will work on if you see 920c your good to go. You just need to be on a Marshmellow base to run the nougat s8 ports..

It says it's unlocked

I would say the bootloaders on them are still unlocked and if they are once you install twrp recovery make a backup most important. Im hoping that someone that has a rac 920c will chime in so we know for sure...lol

What apps have you disabled so far?

Is PDP still recommended to use for this? Looks more complicated to install now.
Noticed a disable option when selecting an app on home screen or app drawer.
I'm on Verizon btw.
Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
I use BK package disabler. So far I've just disabled the usual suspects.
I was able to disable everything on the Verizon phone expect the Verizon security app. Why i turned around and installed the XAA rom to get rid of everything and just installed Verizon assistant app
Oh I might have to do this, didn't notice a rom was available for Verizon models.

I flashed the XAA fw over mine with ODIN. Is the XAA version for use in canada only? Im in the US and thinking i flashed the wrong one. Should i be looking for the U1 US?
Yea the U1 US was the first tom I flashed I live in the U.S.A. as well but it will say H+ and you will get carrier branded features.

Ok bc I flashed XAA over current rom and I keep getting an error coming up saying it setup not complete, can't activate service.
I can make calls just fine though. I still see Verizon security on my phone.
Should I wipe first then flash?
Sent from my SM-N950U1 using Tapatalk
Yeah the unlocked roms the U1 version don't remove the carrier bloatware. It will stay that's why it errored out so I flashed the att one. Now you might can find the XAC one which will have a user data file in it I'm look around in a few

Tired of waiting for Android 10/Samsung 2.0 UI

I have a US , unlocked (but with Verizon) Note 9, with the Snapdragon processor. Im getting impatient. Can anyone help me get the update?
I'd greatly appreciate it!!!

Go to Sammobile or Frija and download it and flash with Odin. Numerous threads already about this topic

Try this. Settings/date time. Turn off automatic date and time. Set date ahead 3days then check for update. As soon as I did this my OTA started. Bot no need to wait for the OTA when the firmware is available on Sammobile and Frija.
