S5 neo camera review and samples - Galaxy S 5 General

This goes to Samsung S5 neo owners. How do you experience the camera on the S5 neo? Feel free to post pictures taken with the camera.
p.s. Moderator, please create a sub-thread for Samsung S5 neo.

Camera is 1.9f....S5 is 2.0....?
excelent cam....

Im just mad about video recording's frame rate in apps like snapchat, instagram because in these apps, s5 is recording so smooth videos. I don't know that is that camera's fault or what? By the way, system camera is great for me and those 5mpx in front camera looks beautiful

I finally received my phone and I must say I really like it. The camera is very capable but one need to keep very still to take non-blurry pictures with the stock camera. Camera MX seems to better in this case. I think the stock camera over-expose pictures a little bit as well.

I have a brand new s5 neo 903-w, canadian version, and I'm not able to take a decent pic
I mean there is still a blur effect and some noise, even outside during a sunny day :/
I could expect that in a low light condition...
My old micromax, indian brand, 13mp take better pics
What can I do?

[Q] Stock photos milky and overly bright?

Hey there,
Just wondering, does anyone else find the photos on the 2X really milky and overly bright?
Take a look here at some I took this weekend...

Compared to some photos I took a couple of weeks ago with my Desire HD..
I would have thought the 8MP on the LG would kill the Desire HD but now looking at it, I'm not so sure...?
It's said like a thousand times before but i'll say it again. There is a problem with the auto white balance, if you do it by hand the photo's will be much better .
WB how you do it by hand? I can only select automatic presets that are not very good.
Anyway, the best improvment in quality photo for my lg optimus was by reducing exposure by 1 or 2 clicks on the +/- icon
Take a look at the camera mod in the dev section to improve your camera quality. I know its just for video for now but maybe in future updates it will contain improved photos.

I'm already running that
They app aint that sophisticated sadly enough, but you can change the white balance at settings, if you go there you see it's normally on auto, you can change it to sunny and stuff like that. That allready changes a lot for me.
Thanks yeah I changed it to landscape and was much better, but also Camera 360 kills the stock app
I noticed i get less glare when i take off the battery cover, i think it contributes to the milkyness a bit but not sure

[Q] Can someone post front camera pictures, particularly in low light?

Hello all,
I would like it if some people could share pictures from the front-camera, particularly in low-light (it does not have to be a selfie ). This is because I am worried about the performance of my front camera because even though it says it is ISO 320 in the EXIF, the quality looks to be smudgy and really soft (even though I turned off the soft skin and stabilizer setting in Manual mode).
I know that its only 2MP but still, the quality of it in low-light as compared to good light is really significant. So I would like to confirm if this is just me or also the others..
Btw, I have a Clear Screen Protector so I'm not sure if that might also be contributing..
Thanks!!

You are not incorrect. The front camera, even worse than the back one, suffers from noise, grain, oversharpening artifacts, blurring, and washed out colors.

Hm, bummer. I wonder if its software again or if its just the nature of front facing cameras? Weird thing is front facing video seems to be alright..
Thanks man!
I noticed this on front facing camera, my gf has z1 I have s3 and mine wins hands down

The front camera does seem worse than my old S4's, though the Samsung rep that comes to the store I work at tried to tell me they had the same cameras -_-
Both camera's are great, the problem is the new framework they work off of. Even though the phone does have a true 16MP camera, I've taken better shots with my S4 both front and back. Not too impressed with the Camera at the moment.

I agree, but only in some lighting conditions. I remember my S4 used to take great front shots even in low light. On the S5, the pics feel grainy for some reason.
Front camera example again

So your in a car with no light coming down? Your in low light. The front camera is just for video chat anyways...you need light.

I think front on the S5 is just as bad as the S4. They both suck however the rear facing on the S3 is pretty solid so long as its daytime.

How about just to the S6. That way when you install a custom rom, you get to have the superior S6 camera app as well.

Shoulderpod S1 for capture Timelapse / HDR Shots

Hi Guys
Just found yesterday this gear for photography. Think its a great idea to enjoy our great S6 / S6 Edge camera . If somebody of you have photography as a hobby I think it will be interesting for you as well.
I have my two tripods for DSLR Photography of landscape image... but with this part I think it will be a great solution as well for the "Androphotography"
What do you think about this part ?
Shoulderpod S1
nice, i would love to see it in action.
Only problem i see, is if i know im taking big photos i take my SLR.
My phone is more of a - i have it everywhere take snaps thing.
So i would forget to take the grip with me!
i think HandlePod is a more fitting name since the inclusion of 'shoulder' implies some sort of stablisation like a shoulder rig would give.
for video, i have this (freebie) selfie stick i use as a handle grip...

to use as a table top tripod, i have a phone holder i attach to an Arca swiss style QR plate like so...
or if i'm traveling with my tripod, like so...
but since i pretty much have a photo camera married to my body all the time, i'll mount it to the top should i ever want to take a photo with it as well as being able to use it as a larger live view and having full control over the camera like so...
but the shoulderpod s1 does combine most of these functions into one pretty portable piece.
I will order my shoulderpod S1 next days for sure
