This the explanation :
Incremental OTA is for update from Lollipop LMY47V build 20151208 (security patch on december) to Marshmallow MRA58K
Full OTA is for Upgrade from what ever Lollipop version to Marshmallow MRA58K
Hope this can answer the question :good:

Strange, I didn't face this issue, beside that it is an official update.
Turn off your phone and remove the battery for 5-10 min. and insert it again, hope it will give correct reading after that.

Yes. Am not rooted though.... But I was able to flash TWRP recovery temporarily onto my phone and access root folder, where I deleted the file (batterystats.bin- which is usually deleted by Battery Calibration apps).... Still didn't charge to 100%

I think that only happened when flashed a custom kernel, now I reflashed full firmware and tried all possible fixes but nothing work.

Any fix yet, if you force the battery to charge 100%, your battery will drain drastically to to like 70%

I will try to flash infinix software

I thought updates were available for up to two years but when I check I get my 5.1.1 is the latest. Will try to use these updates.

@Okutue
Battery is fixed on infinix firmware
You need to format the whole device before flashing the rom, you may try to format and flash Andriod one rom using sp flashtool (choose format + download)
Report if the battery got fixed on marshmallow please.

Press and hold the power button until the phone turns off by itself. Then go back into recovery and try installing again. If it hangs once more just repeat until the installer works. No problems. Aroma just hung. Happens from time to time.

[Q] Issues with CyanogenMod 10.2

Hey guys
I flashed CyanogenMod 10.2 and since today the power button isn't working. Means I can't lock the screen. Also the screen freezes one time a day and I have to take out the battery to use the phone again.
Is there any zip or apk to fix this or do I have to flash a new rom?

Power button could be a hardware issue. For freezes do a clean install, also see if clean install fixes your power button.

OK you were right about the hardware damage. I can only go into the recovery mode if I shut down the phone before by taking out the battery. and the main problem: I can't select any actions at the recovery mode.

you can get the hardware issue fixed but if you still want to install rom, then flash philz kernel from download mode using the .tar file and then you would have touch enabled in recovery. from there you can install CM or OMNI. Omni has TWRP which is again touch based.
Edit: once you have flashed rom, lets say Omni, it has Sleep option in Quick Settings which you can use to lock your phone and always keep the option wake up by pressing home button.

how to get software update?

Hi guys, how do i update? i don't see an option to update through settings -> about phone.
can anyone help please?
thanks
If there is no option under 'about phone' then you can't do an OTA update. You will have to do it manually.
Go to hackerpower's Index thread, find an update ROM that can be flashed via the stock recovery and flash away.
Good luck.

All right, I did it about a month ago and only once, so I won't be able to do it from memory. I will have to flash a stock recovery back so I can see what it looks like. I won't have time this weekend. If no one else is able to help you before, I will have a go at it on Monday.

OK, let's give this a try.
Download the ROM you wish to flash and copy it to the root directory of your SD Card with the name of update.zip
Power off your phone and boot into recovery.
Once the phone is powered down, hold the Vol+ and Vol- buttons, then press and hold the power button. Continue holding all three buttons until the phone gives a brief vibrate and the screen comes alive (about 5 secs).
You will be greeted by a screen that looks like the first attached image.
Tap on 'English', it will take you to the main menu (second image)
Tap on 'Install update package' (third image)
If you are ready to go, tap on 'Yes'
That should be all there is to it.

I don't know about the fraudulent phone, but I did once get my phone into a screen that was all Chinese when trying to boot to recovery. I don't know what it was (I pulled the battery to reboot rather than make a bad selection from the menu ) and have not been able to find it again
I would suggest you try a couple more times to boot into recovery just to be sure. If you have adb on your computer, you could try
Code:
adb reboot recovery
If that fails, you will need to flash a recovery (either stock or custom). With adb and fastboot it is not that difficult.

T-mobile - Note 4 keeps rebooting even after updating to new firmware.

Hi Guys,
I have used my T-mobile Note 4 for years since it came out. I have replace the batteries once, but like a month ago when there was an update my phone keep restarting and turning off. I then had to get another phone because of that I still cant get it to restart even after I bought a new battery, updated the firmware. can some one guide me the right way to do this right. I think I am not doing the flashing the right way.. with oldin, and the correct firmware. after I do that I get this installing updates andriod show and it stops and reboots again. please help. thanks
- this phone was never locked before
- Replaced the battery once
- one day when there were a bunch of apps that needed update with probably 35% battery I let it update and after that it kept rebooting
- So installed the twrp recovery.tar.md5 from here that didnt help
- So then from sammobile I downloaded the latest firmware and installed it, that didnt help too
So the question is can I just wipe the whole phone and start fresh? -

So I tried this yesterday evening,
- I did install the latest firmware which was suggest in by one of the comments above :

- then flashed it with philz recovery and did the factory reset and rebooted it but no luck.
- when restart the phone, its shows the Samsung note 4 logo then shuts off.
im afraid to say that your note 4 might bebroken now. If you go to the note 4 reddit, this has happened to many people and has something to do with the solder degrading after a few years iirc. Best thing you can do is buy a motherboard replacement for around 60 on eBay if nothing else works. I have replaced 3 note 4 motherboards for people i know that this has happened to.

^^^This. I just had to replace our two Note 4 after years of service over the last two months. Same symptoms as yours. It is most assuredly hardware related.
Even "better", from the two replacements sent by TMo, one failed within the week. The replacement just abruptly shut off and doesn't turn back on unless the battery is removed for 20 min. or so.
However, once it turns on it freezes. Try to boot to recovery, it freezes before even loading it up. One time the screen display even corrupted on me.
So, tldr, it is time for a replacement MoBo. Good luck!

You have a bad battery, replace with this one dont buy off the eBay they are fake
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072KJRJ45/ref=psdc_7073959011_t4_B06XV8JSKK
The new battery may initially help, but it sounds suspiciously like the mmc is beginning to fail. Wakelock app set to option 4. Only thing that worked for me.
