Help needed with update - P8lite General

I had my phone rooted and recieved the 188 update but for some reason update was giving an error when updating so I unroot and did a factory reset but the problem is still not solved, I cannot make the update. Any ideias for a solution ?

Upload update.zip to take look.

Where do I get it?

Open the internal memory and look for folder OTA or OTA_dload or something like this then upload it somewhere I recommend mega or google drive

The folder dload_OTA is empty inside...

I think the problem is the root. I cannot unroot it properly so it doesnt update..

In mine OTA file "update.zip" is located in the folder "HwOUC"

Well I cannot post the link to my update cuz I need at least 10 posts -.-

Send link by PM @sokkoban

So I update the B188
How do I did it
1. Make full unroot and reverse to original recovery if you install TWRP
2. Make Hard Reset(Wipe cache and partition) twice!!!
3. Copy the update.zip into folder dload into internal memory
4. Install as local update!

How to flash stock firmware from stock recovery - no sdcard, no apply update from ADB

Hi all, i've downloaded recoveries and firmware and tried to follow this guide - http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-mini-2/general/stock-ruu-rom-recovry-htc-one-mini-2-t3250020
But, i can't figure out how to install the stock firmware from the stock recovery.
The only options i get in recovery mode are
- reboot system now
- apply from sd card
- apply from phone storage
- apply from cache
- wipe data/factory reset
- wipe cache partition
i don't have an sdcard, and i've copied the stock ROM (zip file) to /sdcard/ - which is just an emulated sdcard.
However if i try of the "apply" functions then it fails.
Any advice?
Many thanks.

You may find instructions into post #3 of the thread above
Let me make it more 1•2•3
Rename RUU image (1.2 GB) to 0P8BIMG.zip and place into /sdcard folder.
Reboot device, entering into hboot.
HBOOT checks for such packages in root folders and installs them if they parsed check. All by itself.
So, basically, you don't need to enter Recovery if you want install the RUU. HBOOT does it.
Still, I may not be totally correct, cause I didn't check it with current device and when I used hboot I stored *.zip on /ext_sd.

You need to have S-Off to install just about any update/downgrade other wise with S-On you can only install update of a higher version.
You need to check your OS version in bootloader

i did try this, but it didn't do anything, I did see it flash up on screen that it was looking for 0P8BIMG (from what I recall) but then just entered the bootloader as normal.
Maybe it's because I have S-On as suggested by @TryllZ
The only way I managed to get the stock ROM installed was by using TWRP to restore the snapshot version.
Thanks anyway.

Update!!! Help, URGENT!

Hello guys,
My P7 are VERY SLOW, with lots of lag and I want to throw it against the wall..
My current version is P7-L10V100R001C00B135. Please, PLEASE, Help me to update this potato!
Many thanks!
Be careful...
1) Backup your valuable data (media, messages, notes etc)
2) Factory reset from settings menu
3) Download this rom. (you can also check the "HOW TO" there)
4) Store it on your external sd card in a folder named dload (the path should be [ "your external sd" / dload / Update.zip ] )
5) Go to phone update > open menu > local update; there you should be able to see the UPDATE.zip > execute it > done!
... and enjoy your "new" phone
Thnks... but when I reset it from menu it reboot to Team Win recovery.. what should I do?
Anyway... I tried to do Walt you said and when it reboot to update, reboot to tem,win recovery... Lol

That' OTA, for that you need to be on B830, download full firmware package of B839 and flash it normally, extract "dload" on sd card or internal storage and go to updates\local mnu and update. Backup everything you have.

It fails..
How? What does it say?
When I try to flash the zip it simply fails.. or when I follow the instructions to update local it fails again..
You cannot flash the zip, that's why you need to extract "dload" from that zip and put it on sd card or on internal memory.
I do that, then phone reboot and enter to recovery. What should I do next?
Then you go to the update and do local update, and phone should reboot and install that update.
That's what I'm doing since the beginning. I select the local update then phone reboot automatically to recovery...
Yes, and the phone needs to automaticly install the update.
but it doesn't...
Hmm, did you root your phone ? Maybe you can try to do force update, when the phone if turned off, hold Vol up, down and power button for 10-15 seconds and he will be forced to update.
Yes. I tried that but it boots to recovery..
Hmm, then i dont know, i normally updated it from b132 trough local update.

Do you have twrp / cwm recovery on your phone, or is it the original recovery?
Team Win recovery. And now it is stuck on a boot loop! Can someone help me?

Hey man ! French friend here !
I just had a misadventure with my phone yesterday (you can read about it in one of the recent topics) and had to reinstall the whole OS. Actually, it's not as tricky as you might think it is. I assume you already have the b130 zip file (getting the ROM was the hardest part in my case) ?
If you do, then connect your phone to your computer and allow file sharing. Now extract the archive content to your phone's internal storage. Among the files is one named "update.app". You have to cut/paste it in a folder named "dload", which you'll have to create in your internal storage.
With that done, power off your phone and turn it one again by pressing simultaneously the volume up, down and power buttons. The B130 version should be installing and after a reboot, you'll be good to go.
Note that this procedure will wipe out all the data in your internal storage. Don't be a fool like me and back up everything you want to keep. Your bootloader will be locked again as well and obviously, the custom recovery and all apps - including Super su and Xposed - will be gone. Your phone will be brand as new.
Come back to me if you need anything.

[ROM][TWRP](Stock? PL1) Samsung Galaxy J3 Emerge SM-J327P

Hello J3 Pop users. I have here a "backup" of the PL1 firmware made using TWRP. This flash procedure may be necessary if one can not flash the Odin ROM because of any number of failures (there seems to be a common problem with this). I am not positive if this is stock, or pre-rooted.
If you're looking for an Odin file, check here https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/rom-pl1-samsung-galaxy-j3-emerge-sm-t3580396
First off, DISCLAIMER: This is not a factory approved flash method, and if you haven't done so already, may void your warranty, or brick your device. Use at your own risk.
Now, with that out of the way, you will need to install TWRP, if you haven't already. That can be obtained from this link:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...overy-twrp-3-1-0-1-samsung-galaxy-j3-t3573607
Just follow the flash instructions, but you don't need to attempt to root it... that part might fail in this case anyways.
Download the file from this link. you will need to extract the folder inside to ".\TWRP\BACKUPS\{device serial}" on your SD card. If you don't see this folder, just create any kind of backup from inside TWRP, even just the "EFS" partition will create the folder you need.
With the files and SD card in place, select "restore" inside TWRP. Select the partitions to restore, and there are two partitions labeled with system, i would recommend restoring both. The "EFS" and "EFS2" partitions should never be restored unless you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that those partitions are corrupted (it rarely happens, even when a device is bricked).

So is this flashable via TWRP recovery, or Odin?

Restore original firmware

P9 EVA-L09. I am trying to get original firmware.
The phone was rooted. I relock the bootloader using adb. After that phone has stuck in Huawei eRecovery and can't download firmware.
I use the dload method to perform upgrade. I have downloaded few months ago two zip files.
First copy only the UPDATE.APP (~2GB) file to dload folder on sdcard. Then phone start working. After that from the other zip replace, put the all files
in dload folder. Upgrading was successful, but few apps are missing - camera, contacts and etc -> example ?
Trying this image says: installing updates fails after 10-15%.
Can you suggest me how to fix it or may another image to use?
Thanks in advance !

Did you restore stock ROM (by eg HWOTA) before relocking - because (re)locking invokes Factory reset. There was also another report of similar brick bexause of relocking with rooted or custom ROM.
No I am not. It was stock rom which I rooted.
I am trying several update.app but when processi is complete always something wrong. No all apps installed or keyboard missing and etc.
Can you suggest me what and how to try to install?
I found this link with images.
I am downloading both B136. First I have to copy UPDATE.APP to dload folder on sdcard from update.zip. Then delete update.app from dload
and extract all from B360_update_data_full_hw_eu.zip to dload folder and again perform upgrade (turn off the phone, then holding vol up + vol down + power key
until logo display)
Is that correct?
