Greenify behaving wonky on this handset... - Blu Vivo XL

Got my phone delivered yesterday. So far very impressed. No issues, except for one app issue. Greenify behaves wonky on this handset. When I go in to hibernate apps, it seems to stall during the hibernation process. It *looks* like instead of force stopping the app, it does something with moving the app to SD card. I say that because I can "see" it pressing the move to sd button, instead of the force stop button. It's weird. Anyone else notice this?

Did you ever figure this out, I didn't notice any issues with it. I just rooted mine today and plan on using the Greenify rooted. I'll let you know if I see a difference.

No. Never figured it out. I also posted on the Slickdeals thread and someone there confirmed the same thing. I just uninstalled it until someone finds a workaround. Honestly though, I'm not super worried about it. I'm getting between 5-6 hours of SOT without it.

Can you give me the idea to root your phone? Is it Unlock bootloader, then twrp/cwm, then root?
Thanks

What did you do after the root?

So, as most of you know a root for the AHD came out yesterday. I wanted to say thank you to everyone that worked hours and hours on getting the root, even though Dan gets the money lol. But there are many new comers to android out there, including myself. Coming from the iphone I can tell you everything you can do once you jailbreak and iDevice, but what all have you guys done after you rooted your device. I have owned one android and played around for a while on many, but most of which were completely unlocked and had new roms installed ect. ect. So I thought it would be a good idea for people to be able to post what all they have used the root for so far, so maybe we can use those ideas and make this phone even more awesome.
The first thing I did do was calibrate my battery and have noticed a little bit better life today than I do most days.
I also uninstalled some of AT&T's annoying bloatware (which IMO belongs on NO phone)
So share what you did and give some ideas to all the readers!!!
Thanks again Dan for the root and I know Matt worked for hours and hours on it, so I would like to thank you too

Great thread idea!
First i removed att bloatware/unused ringtones and notifications
Changed boot animation
Gave already owned apps root permissions to do things like one touch reboot, auto dpi changing.
And right now I'm working on changing the color of my softkeys
Underclocked.
Once i get home from my business trip i plan on porting cwm and seeing what we can do from there

Lol I was thinking the same thing. The EB40 is an awesome upgrade and I def considering it. I just am at home and work where my phone can be charged all of the time anyways. Not to mention once we get some bloat free roms that run more efficiently, the EB20 should be okay.
After rooting,I install RootExplorer,SQ Lite,Titanium Backup,etc.
Unlocking stock wifi tethering and enabling stock sms delivery reports.

AT&T's boot animation is lame
I've been thinking of getting rid of AT&T's boot animation since I saw it for the first time... My strongest option is the razr's m... Will it work no problem?

Ad Free = 1st thing I did...God I hate ads
Yeah, I hate ads too! Especially on YouTube! I'm using 'Ad Away'. I didn't realize it would do away with the YouTube ads, I'm loving it!
Other things I've done thus far:
Changed my boot screen, installed SetCPU, installed an Emoji font modification, and installed Titanium Backup to rid myself of the bloat apps.

Disable vibration when unlocking through active notifications?

Does anyone know of a fix or app that will disable vibration (and haptic feedback universally across the phone) when unlocking through active notifications?
I love the moto x, but the way it vibrates all the time really annoys me. Friggin hate how OEMs force that into the ROMs. Thanks for any help. You all rule.

Anyone have an idea?

There is no way to remove the vibration from active notification
Sent from my XT1058 using xda app-developers app
I had the phone when it first came out and the vibration used to drive me crazy. I will say I picked it up the other day and with the KITKAT update the vibration is now barely noticeable.
It really drives me nuts too. I loathe haptic response. It just makes a slick phone feel stupid.
I'm thinking there has to be some kind of app that will override system wide haptic control. I just am unaware of it. Does anyone know of an app like that? I am rooted.

I'm thinking more like modifying the apk to disable this. Haven't looked at it yet.

The problem for me is that it's a Republic Wireless Moto X and I don't believe the build for it has been released or is even in the wild. If it was, getting an altered version would be my top priority.
Coming from a rooted, unlocked, CM 10.2 running LG Optimus G, having something that can't be disabled is REALLY annoying.
Thanks for the comments. If anyone knows of an app or anything else related to this, I'd be super appreciative.

Root exist. JCase's works just fine, and exactly as described. While I haven't checked I'm pretty sure the same reverse unroot process works on it as well. Haven't checked though.
Hopefully Motorola fixes it themselves, but a nice custom stock rom would be really nice as well. Just needs to be RW specific as they have their wifi portion hard written into the system.

Root Tips

Sup guys I have a moto x on sprint and I'm on 4.4.2. I'm not sure if I want to root. I just heard some people getting great battery life and I'm not its just average. Maybe 3 hours screen on with 12 hours total before dead. So I think its some apps giving me wakelocks but I need root to find out now. Also app ops and/or greenify I'm sure will help. Now otherwise the phone is perfect. I'm no noob to root so I know what it is.
What I want to know is what's the easiest way to unlock boot loader, root install recovery and probably do xposed?
Then is there a way to totally revert back to stock with locked boot loader for warranty claims?
Thanks guys

You can flash stock firmware again but you cant relock your bootloader.

Cool thanks. So root will cause void of warranty. I have the Motorola esp insurance. Do you think it also voids that? As a cracked screen has nothing to do with root.
Sent from my XT1056 using Tapatalk
Your battery times may be completely normal.....depending on what features you leave on, apps you've installed that access those features.....screen brightness, games, how much you make/get calls, signal strength....etc...etc.
My point is, those times you get aren't necessarily cause of an issue.....could be anything above too. Root won't help on its own.....its setup and usage that determine average battery times.

Ya I agree. I'm not sure on root yet still checking app settings. Thing is all the apps on my phone are there for a reason. Don't play games and it seems all my settings are good. Im just getting awake time when my screen is off so something is happening and I can't figure it out. Is there anything without root I can use to determine the wake lock?

Ya that's what I've seen. I really don't want root if I could get another 3-4 hrs of total and another hour of screen on time. And I know it all depends on usage but it seems that isn't too much to ask from this phone when its running right

Look at all the apps you have.
Uninstall any that haven't been updated this year.
???
Profit.
Basically with the restructure of kit kat apps that haven't been updated for it are causing unnecessary wakelocks, basically not closing properly.

Just got a random reboot.

I was in settings/storage, and tapped on apps. The phone lagged then opened the apps section. I tapped the back button and then the phone shut off and restarted. I am rooted, twrp recovery, but using the stock rom.
Has anyone else experienced this at all? Wondering if it is a widespread thing, or not.

Cool story bro
I've been getting way too many random reboots. Something as simple as turning off wifi or turning it back on will cause it. I'm not sure why it does it and I'm fully stock, unrooted. I've seen suggestions about clearing the cache and I've done that, but the problem continues. I'd say it does it on average once every couple of days.
Now that's a cool story, bro.

I've thought about wiping and starting over, but I'd rather find out that it's a known issue with a fix before I go through all of that work. It's not like I've been flashing ROMS and messing around with the radios or anything like that.

Hey it's all good! I wasn't scolding you or something.. I've been there myself. Hop on here and try to explain something that just happened with my phone and while I'm writing it... Think to myself... Guess a log would have helped lol

Process system is not responding. Do you want to close it? <WAIT> <OK>

Ever since I've had this phone I've been experiencing the error in the title above. I've rooted, tried freezing apps I think might be the problem, and just tonight I unlocked the bootloader, which wipes everything, and was hoping the error would go away. It only happens the first time upon boot. I hit either Wait or OK and it goes away until next boot.
Not a big deal, but curious what's causing it. Just wondering if anyone has this issue.
This is the 16gb Prime version, rooted, debloated, unlocked bootloader.

I thought about that too, but I've tried two different carriers.. T-Mo, and Cricket. Both do it, regardless if one is in one slot or both are in either.
Like I said, it only does it after the first reboot, then I never see it again.

My LG G4 does this sometimes. Just click wait to avoid dropping a system process. It probably represents a random error during boot, but it never seemed to hurt anything enough to justify a full investigation.

My HTC 10 just gave me this system stopped responding error right after rebooting - Now I'm beginning to think it's just a new "feature" in Marshmallow. When I have some extra time, I'd like to see if I can figure out what does this - more for the sake of learning than anything else.
