What is Omni?
The goal of Omni is to experiment with Android development because we enjoy it. Omni isn’t better, just different. It’s another option for the billion Android users out there. Android (vs. iOS and every other mobile OS) has thrived on options as well as the gigantic, talented development community that has emerged to build those options. That’s the beauty of Android – that you can pick and choose from a smorgasbord of devices with varying features and functionality.
Omni is a chance to get involved, no matter who you are. Developers, whether you’ve been developing apps for a week, or ROM features for 3 years, you’re welcome. Users, we know you want to help out, and now you can – Omni actively encourages bug reports and feature requests, which can be added to our publicly accessible roadmap. What’s the point in giving you a ROM, and forcing you to not tell us about any bugs you find?
We also recognise how people use Custom ROMs – we’re all custom ROM users and developers ourselves – the argument that “nightlies are not for end users” is over-used, and no longer valid. We’ve found that the vast majority of users want to get nightly updates to their ROM. For that reason, nightlies aren’t a playground – nightlies are for new features that are finished. You should be able to expect the same stability and reliability from a nightly as you would from a “release” ROM, and can report any bugs that prevent this from happening.
We know not everyone wants to update their ROM daily, and you are free to update as frequently or infrequently as you like. Omni is about flexibility and giving users what they expect – and we are excited to see where the community goes with it.

Also my Omni ROM has few problems with APN.
To fix it you can use fix for AICP:

The problem is I need more code to build audio and media libs.
quanganh2627 published part of needed code on his Github but it looks like it is not enough.

SlimRoms is a custom android operating system. The main goal is to offer users a slimmed down but still feature rich alternative to other android operating systems.
The entire SlimTeam work together to bring you this tailor-made beauty straight from Android Open Source Project (AOSP) source code.
All of the sources can be publicly viewed through GitHub and you can stop by the public Gerrit to submit patches of any type.
The builds are available when either you or I build them.

I have used this project to learn how to build ROMs, and how the Android OS works. I'm no genius like Archie, Dheeraj or Arter97 all of whom have helped me to do this by sticking to Open Source principles. The NamelessRom and Omni team helped me without judging me for lack of skills, which is both rare and awesome. Finally massive props to PRJosh (SlimTeam), Marco (Omni), and CBalster (Omni) and many others.
Both roms are based on AOSP.
If you have any issues with it, then either post a simple explanation of what the problem is, or more helpfully take a logcat. The more detail you give me the more likely I can solve the issue for you.
First boot is a long one, so give it a chance.
Finally all advice welcome, you find a good commit, or patch let me know.

When reporting issues, please try and provide as much information as possible. I have one phone, which I need for work and my personal life. The benefit of this is that I work hard to ensure it works, the downside is that testing two roms is hard, in fact testing one thoroughly is difficult. So please please provide logcats, post what rom and version you are using, and what variant of the i9300 you are using.

Hey guys, after playing around a little, I managed to compile PA for the i9300! Anyway, I don't have any changelog as such
Story:
At first I'd successfully managed PA to officially support the i9300, but since the developer who replaced me would really listen to anybody and continued building with Nameless sources, which led to seriously messed up builds, which in turn made PA drop support for i9300, I decided to step in and provide unofficial support for the i9300 (Again). So enjoy!
Features:
Theme Engine (Not available in 5.1 Alpha 1, available in the newer build)
Bugs:
Video Playback
Android File Host
Basketbuild
Now Basketbuild
Thanks to:
The awesome PA team!

@Moster2

Awesome, thanks a lot!

Seeing all these people taking care of our i9300 and brining unofficial builds to us makes me really happy

Oh yes ! I will test it !
I will test this too! Great job! ???
My favorite rom,on my S3. U.U
Downloading.
Thanks!
but i think that i will wait for it to be more in development.
The wake up from home butten, and probably other things as this is an alpha version.
BUT, as always, its good to see roms for our device. keep up the good work.
will definitely try this out when it go on a little.
It is happening!!! I know this day would come!! Love PA, downloading now. I'll post my experience later on! Thank you, so far.
Edit 24/02/2014 12:19 GMT -4 (Almost 48 hours after flash)
I've flashed it together with Boeffla-Kernel NG CM12, SuperSu Update 2.45, and Micro PA Gapps. Wifi works, Mobile Data, Camera and GPS either. I've not tested anything else. Only bug found is that TRIM is not working, but I dont know the future implications of it.
It is good for daily use, but some apps, as Mozilla Firefox and Facebook present FCs...
Wow i didn't expect this so soon for our device
great to see PA here
will see how it goes, will certainly try it very soon :good::good:
link not found???

Edit 1 (22/02/2014 - 18:58 GMT -4)
I've just flashed it, together with Boeffla-Kernel NG CM12, SuperSu Update 2.45, and Stock PA Gapps. It is very laggy. Don't know if it is only me, or is normal. Any help would be appreciated.
Aside from it, Wifi works, Mobile Data and GPS either. I've not tested anything else.
Edit 2 (22/02/2014 - 21:09 GMT -4)
New clean flash, using the same kernel, SuperSu, but with the Nano-Gapps, seems to have improved performance. Only bug found is that TRIM is not working, wich may cause future problems, as slowdowns, lags and crashes. Camera is buggy, as always.

I tried the app and get some PIE error.
The so mentioned "PIE" is the very reason CM dropped support for old devices apparently
Congratulations on the build
I am curious.
Why did you choose to use the boeffla defconfig to build the kernel? Why not use the cm12/nameless/omni/slim stock kernels?
That would probably make the rom boot with stock kernel. Users who want boeffla can simply flash over the kernel aftwerwards, which they have to do now as well

About
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, LineageOS, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion…
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application: http://www.mfunz.com/en/developer-application, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server![/CODE]

To install upgrade:
Method 1:
just download the complete package via OTA
enter the recovery
only to wipe cache and dalvik (optional, I do not)
install the complete package downloaded via OTA
Method 2:
Download the complete package over the air and go to install update
let install automatically for you
Method 3:

for that you need to donate 30 CNY for the team to release the feature on the device directly
But you can do this update without donation

I'm just maintaining this thread. However, been looking into the commits and codes and I don't see anything special. What's there on lineageOS, the same is here. GPS should work if it works on lineageOS.

We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash! If you have questions, ask your fellow users or ask us in #teamcarbon on freenode IRC.

Thank you! I will test later today. I tried dirty flashing on kyasu's lineageos 14.1, because I am lazy. Did not work (surprising right?).

Haha, you get a medal for trying though
I tested the rom for a little bit. No obvious major bugs, but since it is based on lineageos I assume it got the known lineageos bugs (which are not many though). Compared to lineageos this rom has of course more customization options (substratum and lots of settings) and a better browser (AdBlock :good: ). One little bug I found: Rebooting to recovery from power menu does not work.
Finally got the time to flash it, sound doesn't work as expected (I had some issues with that during compiling), I'll try a full recompile today and see if it fixes anything

Seems like I should have tried to play a song before writing "there are no major bugs"

Yup, and now I am back at fixing compiler errors haha, we'll see how this build goes (I really need to document how I fix these errors for future reference)

Oh yes that one, I had to take a little shortcut to get the ROM compiled. I'll see what I can do
Update: Spoke to the CarbonROM devs, they said there was a new commit that should fix this issue. I'll have a compiled rom tomorrow and I'll test if sound works
Update:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/gbn78....1-MOO-UNOFFICIAL-ks01ltexx-20170620-2236.zip
- Fixed sound issue
- Synced with the latest
Do a backup before flashing, since this is still "beta".
Full wipe before flashing.
Root and Gapps in the OP.
Happy flashin
Can someone confirm that simcard is working in the latest update?

Simcard is not working for me. Furthermore the camera app disappeared for some strange reason.

Gosh dang it hahaha, fixed one thing messed up another. I think I know what happened and I'm compiling a new one right now for testing
Update:
- Camera app fixed p)
- Sim card is now detected, hurray!
I don't have the fastest uploading speed (I'm on vacation in Lebanon, speed is around 300kb/s) and I want to go through the ROM for a couple moar bugs and roaches (ie, I haven't tested the reboot to recovery etc) but once all that's complete, it should be good to go for a daily driver (I don't know if you should trust me, I used a beta version as a daily once haha).
That's the update so far

I was thinking of updating again, but I haven't gotten any response from my last build so I assume everything is working :/ Plus, I'm in Lebanon where the internet is kB/s but I was planning on updating the source the 1rst of august. Do you have any bug reports you want to send?

@utkarsh914 thanks for reviving the hope for development of our dear sprout. How long can we expect support for it ? Is there any workaround for camera? Will you release builds with November security patch.
Please Note I ain't anyway asking for ETA. It's good to see support for our abandoned sprout. Anyways thanks again

Slim hasn't merged Nov security patch in its sources as of now. Once they merge, I'll give an update.
For camera, device tree isn't stable as of now. So no workaround for that.

Great Work. I haven't tested this ROM fully but still it is Smooth overall. I have some issues with this ROM so can't use it as my daily driver. I am reverting back to Stock ROM due to below point no. 2 which is verry annoying issue.
1. SMS can neither be sent nor received on all Nougat ROMs including this one. (See Workaround below)
2. This ROM takes around 1.7 GB after installation unlike Samar's Lineage OS, which takes only around 350MB on internal storage, making more room for apps.

For the SMS related issue I never faced it in Nougat roms, and didn't hear anybody else talking about it either!
The second is not an issue! It shows 1.7GB because it includes /system, /cache, /oem, and other partitions too in it. In actual, the used storage is even lesser than Lineage OS if you check in TWRP
