We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.

-20170622 build: Fixed simcard issue. Camera app is back. Synced with the latest sources.
-20170620 build: Fixed sound issue. Synced with the latest sources.
- 20170615 build: Initial release! Sound is being actively worked on to be fixed in next release.

Thank you! I will test later today. I tried dirty flashing on kyasu's lineageos 14.1, because I am lazy. Did not work (surprising right?).

Haha, you get a medal for trying though

I tested the rom for a little bit. No obvious major bugs, but since it is based on lineageos I assume it got the known lineageos bugs (which are not many though). Compared to lineageos this rom has of course more customization options (substratum and lots of settings) and a better browser (AdBlock :good: ). One little bug I found: Rebooting to recovery from power menu does not work.

Finally got the time to flash it, sound doesn't work as expected (I had some issues with that during compiling), I'll try a full recompile today and see if it fixes anything

Yup, and now I am back at fixing compiler errors haha, we'll see how this build goes (I really need to document how I fix these errors for future reference)

Oh yes that one, I had to take a little shortcut to get the ROM compiled. I'll see what I can do

Update: Spoke to the CarbonROM devs, they said there was a new commit that should fix this issue. I'll have a compiled rom tomorrow and I'll test if sound works

Update:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/gbn78....1-MOO-UNOFFICIAL-ks01ltexx-20170620-2236.zip
- Fixed sound issue
- Synced with the latest
Do a backup before flashing, since this is still "beta".
Full wipe before flashing.
Root and Gapps in the OP.
Happy flashin

Gosh dang it hahaha, fixed one thing messed up another. I think I know what happened and I'm compiling a new one right now for testing

Update:
- Camera app fixed p)
- Sim card is now detected, hurray!
I don't have the fastest uploading speed (I'm on vacation in Lebanon, speed is around 300kb/s) and I want to go through the ROM for a couple moar bugs and roaches (ie, I haven't tested the reboot to recovery etc) but once all that's complete, it should be good to go for a daily driver (I don't know if you should trust me, I used a beta version as a daily once haha).
That's the update so far

I was thinking of updating again, but I haven't gotten any response from my last build so I assume everything is working :/ Plus, I'm in Lebanon where the internet is kB/s but I was planning on updating the source the 1rst of august. Do you have any bug reports you want to send?

What is Omni?
The goal of Omni is to experiment with Android development because we enjoy it. Omni isn’t better, just different. It’s another option for the billion Android users out there. Android (vs. iOS and every other mobile OS) has thrived on options as well as the gigantic, talented development community that has emerged to build those options. That’s the beauty of Android – that you can pick and choose from a smorgasbord of devices with varying features and functionality.
Omni is a chance to get involved, no matter who you are. Developers, whether you’ve been developing apps for a week, or ROM features for 3 years, you’re welcome. Users, we know you want to help out, and now you can – Omni actively encourages bug reports and feature requests, which can be added to our publicly accessible roadmap. What’s the point in giving you a ROM, and forcing you to not tell us about any bugs you find?
We also recognise how people use Custom ROMs – we’re all custom ROM users and developers ourselves – the argument that “nightlies are not for end users” is over-used, and no longer valid. We’ve found that the vast majority of users want to get nightly updates to their ROM. For that reason, nightlies aren’t a playground – nightlies are for new features that are finished. You should be able to expect the same stability and reliability from a nightly as you would from a “release” ROM, and can report any bugs that prevent this from happening.
We know not everyone wants to update their ROM daily, and you are free to update as frequently or infrequently as you like. Omni is about flexibility and giving users what they expect – and we are excited to see where the community goes with it.

Guys, somebody wrote that Recents panel is not working on this ROM.
I just found that it is working but you should do this to fix it:
Go to Settings -> Buttons and enable Custom Actions.
Also my Omni ROM has few problems with APN.
To fix it you can use fix for AICP:

We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Ask a question on our IRC channel. Connect to #teamcarbon on irc.freenode.net or click here. You'll find several other Carbon fans and usually one or more devs as well. Please be polite.

awesome work
Happy New Year M5! Great to have an awesome ROM back. I will test it now and report back!
happy new year.
Just in time, i just unlocked my bootloader.
Issues so far:
- Phone doesn't stay on LTE, Drops to H+ (LTE for only 1 second). Actually it seems to keep jumping from LTE/3G
- Fingerprint registration fails at the end
- Camera freeze/crashes randomly same with flash light.
is it only for z5 single sim?

Camera is a know issue, its not working on all 64bit Sony devices on Nougat ATM. A Fix is into developement.
Fingerprint handling is working, but not as good as it is on stock it seems.
I'll take a look at the LTE report, I wasnt able to test that yet as my testsim doesn't support LTE at all.

It is. You can use the ROM on the DualSIM Phone too, but the SDCard won't work (kernel thing, DTB differs).
Flashing a (yet not existing) custom kernel for DSDS will fix that and you can use the ROM on a DSDS device.
I'll see if I can setup a jenkins job to compile a untouched dualsim kernel that can be flashed with AnyKernel later on.

Thank's for your work.
I just installed this ROM, but it won't accept my sdcard (invalid format) which is ext4, which is a standard FS for other parts of the Android FSs. Using ext4 for sdcard on several phones. Is this considered a format for sdcard which require special support from Carbon?

I restored backup of another ROM and this LTE issue stayed. Do i need to do a full return to stock? Why would it have happened? is it related a modem being flashed?

I believe ext4 is a non default filesystem, ext3 should be a "typical" FS. I spend a lot of time trying to get exFat working on Carbon, but it never worked, so I moved on to something more important and leave exFat (as well as fuse support and support for other filesystems) alone for now. I will look into it again after our initial issues are solved, I promise
This is great news, cant wait for optimized build. Can you include the recovery for flashing this rom in op please?
Fingerprint works for me just like stock Rom. And everything works fine well for me. Except camera (known bug for x64 devices) also no fcs and lag it's amazing!
Thanks for supporting Z5 i really appreciate your work. Only thing to wait is the camera Fix and this will be my daily driver for sure!

About
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Lineage OS. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, Lineage OS, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion…
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application: http://www.mfunz.com/en/developer-application, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server!
Features:
(I will mention only that which does not take into Lineage OS)
Update over the air can download the download website only incremental, it helps lower faster update and upgrade more easily:
Some icons and own layouts
Ringtones, Alarms, Notification, UI sounds are all different Lineage OS, thus bringing a beautiful charm to ROM
Own boot animation
Aegis: Power Saver
Yu Browser
information integrated into MokeeCenter
Settings to add Network speed for incoming and outgoing
Settings for Navigation Bar
Settings for Statusbar
Intelligent control settings to configure the newer apps and others
What is the difference?
RELEASE: Tested after integrating new features, more stable than NIGHTLY. (Odexed builds)
NIGHTLY: Built daily with newest code and experimental features, might contain undiscovered bugs. (Deodexded builds)
HISTORY: Final odexded builds once a newer Android version is out and being built.
EXPERIMENTAL: Released when a new device is added or when a new feature is added for public beta testing and feedback. (Deodexded builds)
UNOFFICIAL: Maintained separately by individual developers, usually involves modification of shared code which cannot be merged (affects other devices), therefore maintained by the developer himself.
Note: We always test the shared code for bugs, however sometimes we may not be able to detect device specific bugs. If you have such issues, it will be better to report to the device maintainer.

Yep same here... Flashed this ROM at the very beginning of the day and no issues till now. Appears to be a very smooth and stable ROM.
Glad to see this device is still getting some attention that it rightfully deserves.

Good for you guys! I've flashed RR, nuclearom, lineage and this as well but my sim call selection is always grey. It has been bugging me since then. Have you experienced this before? Any solutions?

Yes I heard it from many users about this rather strange problem including touch problems. But I never faced any of these issues on any Nougat based ROM on any kernel whatsoever. Although I have once or twice found my SIM selection option greyed out on Resurrection Remix N but a simple reboot solved it.

About
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, LineageOS, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion…
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application: http://www.mfunz.com/en/developer-application, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server![/CODE]

• Statusbar settings and Customizations

Installation mode :
To install the clean rom:
Download the rom
enter the recovery
make all wipes (expect internal storage)
choose zip from SD and install
you can use a gapps any of its taste since it is for android 6.0.x
or you can go MokeeCenter after starting rom, there you can download the small gapps integrated into the system and have a lighter and clean rom.
To install upgrade:
Method 1:
just download the complete package via OTA
enter the recovery
only to wipe cache and dalvik (optional, I do not)
install the complete package downloaded via OTA
Method 2:
Download the complete package over the air and go to install update
let install automatically for you
Method 3:
Download only incremental updates
for that you need to donate 30 CNY for the team to release the feature on the device directly
But you can do this update without donation
just go on the site and click below build itself where it is written (upgrade: OTA to MK ...)
there will be the incremental free for you, this will save on your data package or in your spare time.
Big Thanks @martincz for development

I'm just maintaining this thread. However, been looking into the commits and codes and I don't see anything special. What's there on lineageOS, the same is here. GPS should work if it works on lineageOS.

Yes it is work...i tried it with GPS test app, i think maybe because i am indoor, so i take it outside. it takes to time to lock point, about 2-3 minutes. After that i switch to google maps, voila all work fine.
Thanks

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.0 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Reporting Bugs :
DO NOT Report bugs if you installed Xposed
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /sys/fs/pstore/console-ramoops and /sys/fs/pstore/dmesg-ramoops-0. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues.
