Now you can lock your mobile apps using your fingerprint.
• No Peaking in recent apps
• Fully optimized
• No battery Drain
Note :
• you must register your fingerprint in your device
[Settings]> [Security]> [Nexus Imprint]
• Turn On Accessibility Service , this app will not work without enabling it.
[Settings]>[Accessibility]> turn on > [App Locker : Service]
• Enable Device Admin to prevent unauthorized uninstall.
[Settings]> [Security]> [Device Administrators]> turn on > [App Locker]
Please let me know your thoughts and review.
paid version will be uploaded soon.

Needs a timeout. Once you open an app it should record that the app is open and if you switch tasks it should not lock you out until a timeout timer has expired.

I just released pro version without ads.

@ tech_head thanks i'll definitely implement that feature

How about sorting and filtering by enabled/disabled apps?
Other than that, this app is just friggin' incredible

Awesome app. Purchased.
Request: Would be nice to have a widget or option to enable or disable the app lock feature. When im home i dont want it on. When im at work i do. Right now i have to uncheck all the boxes one at a time. A toggle to turn on and off the ability without losing ur app selections would be nice.

Might I suggest an alternative suggestion? Whitelist WiFi BSSIDs, so app knows when it's at home, therefore doing things automatically.

Does the pro version only included no ads??

App is really good! Just gotten the paid version to support you! Prevent friends and family from assessing my data!

Request: would be nice to be able to lock apps without having to have a security feature enabled on the device. I just like swipe to unlock but would like to protect some apps

Same here, I don't use a lock screen but would like to lock apps.

Thank you for your efforts, but may we find a way to lock app by fingerprint without passing lock screen fingerprint register?

fingerprint api does not work if you have not registered the fingerprint in nexus imprint , so at this time it is not possible.
but if google allow this in future , i'll definitely implement this feature.

No. Because that takes away options. What if I'm having a party at home and give my phone to a friend to check out a funny pic or leave it on and open with Spotify playing to my audio system and people can chose a song. I'd rather then turn the feature on at home so people don't snoop.
It shouldnt be location based... It should require positive user intervention for the sake of most flexibility.
And to make sure someone else doesn't turn off the feature themselves, when the widget is pressed to turn app lock on or off, it asks for finger print as verification to make sure it's you that tapped it.

I have some Google Rewards credits, I will use them to purchase as well.
Some feedback. It should be "No Peeking" not "No Peaking".
And after install, the "App Locker: Need Permissions"
"Locker" is spelled as "Locer"
Unless that was intentional for some reason.
I'll give you some more feedback as well.
Sorry to be a "Grammar Nazi", but people don't trust apps if they have spelling mistakes etc.

i am really happy that you found these mistakes. today i'll be fixing that , and some more optimization.
Here is the future plan.
update 1= some performance optimizations. (today or max tomorrow)
update 2=UI improvement + option to add interval between next lock. (and some custom features depending on your feedback ) (this weekend)
update 3=password + pattern locking. (next weekend)

I think what we're missing here, is a false screen of some sort. My girlfriend absolutely hates that I'm friends with some people, and likes to snoop. Instead of blatantly requesting a finger print, maybe add a plain black screen that has a "unfortunately this application has stopped unexpectedly" or what ever the default force close message is, with no visible request for a Finger Print, but the scanner is ready and waiting. There's an app on the market that does this, but I'd feel better paying a developer on xda than a company thats probably data mining my "hidden" apps. Cheers!

Android 4.3: No way to disable the lock screen anymore?

Just upgraded to Android 4.3 (stock HTC ROM) and there must be a bug because I can no longer disable the lock screen. I'm not talking about the pin/pattern lock screen but the swipe up to unlock lock screen (with the icons in the bottom). If I go to Settings > Security and chose to disable the lock screen it doesn't make any difference.
Can someone else please confirm that this is a bug before I wipe my phone?
Doesn't look like a bug, looks like HTC is being responsible and not allowing a phone to not have any security on it. Makes sense IMO

Exactly! And when you bundle your favourite apps in groups on the dock you can just swipe up that folder to get access to it. Quite nifty I would say

My guess is that they removed a lot of things (in 5.5) because most people didn't even use them or know about them. I don't see why you wouldn't want a lock screen though xD

Well, if there is an option for something that doesn't do anything I consider it a bug. Swipe-to-unlock doesn't add a lot of security imho.

The thing is that the options is there but doesn't do anything. I have my phone 95% of the time on my desk/table next to me and I just find it unnecessary to unlock with a button and then swipe. Whenever I leave home I have it in a tight case so there is no risk on me touching buttons by misstake.

Oh, I see what you meant above now.. But the point is, for a lot of folks the lock screen is pointless. It's just an uneccesary extra step to get to what you want on your phone. Especially now that most phones have pocket detection so there's no worries of pocket dialing anymore. I personally find it annoying and not at all needed. Just one less thing to waste my time and battery.
I guess i can see the usefulness of it though in some situations, I.E. Nosy girlfriend/boyfriend mainly. Lol

I understand what you're saying, and I don't use any sort of security on my phone, but I'd still prefer to have the slide to unlock as opposed to nothing at all. I suppose it's each to their own but IMO HTC have decided to take the option out to possibly cover themselves from unhappy customers - I dunno...
HTC_001 just got the update and now being forced to have a lock screen when it doesn't add any security seems a waste of time, everyone knows how to unlock a phone so it's not going to stop anyone getting in, the choice should be left up to the end user, default it to on and that should cover them enough. Next they'll force everyone to have a pin to unlock their phone.
No Lock app works fine and the fact 1-5mill people have downloaded it shows that they have made a mistake here.
No lock, no thanks
Works awful. Just used it for about 5 minutes and it made my phone behave erratically. Seeing as it hasn't been updated for years, it's no surprise. Good luck with it...couldn't even launch apps from the notifications screen without it loading the home screen, locking it and then turning the screen off. Disabled it and then removed it and all is right again on my phone.
Why not accept peoples wish
No lock works fine - and about the security issues people have here:
I never lock my phone with a pattern, pin, code or something.
If you keep sensitive data on it - your fault. You know that it is public if it is on your phone (as we learned from the NSA).
If you don't, leaving your phone unlocked gives you at least the chance that if you loose it and an honest person finds it, he or she will be able to return it to you by contacting "Mum" or "Sweety" from the Contacts. An unhonest person would simply factory-reset it. Right?

You obviously don't program. And it's great that it works for you, however it is apparent from the thread and the comments in the play store that the app has issues. The app certainly doesn't work for me on multiple devices. So I could certainly ask for more, seeing that it simply doesn't work reliably at all in my testing. But since it looks to be abandoned it's not something I expect. That's not a big deal for me at all because it's an app I simply tried but not one I plan on using.

how to get emergency call button off lock screen

Ask stated in thread..can't get if off of there for the life of me...I've called 911 way to many times
Considering how limited our options are with no root availability, you can still try a different luncher like NovaLuncher from play store. It gives you more options to customize things, but I didn't try to see whether that particular option is there to be modified or not. Let us know how it goes.

One option would be to use a different lockscreen.
Try a popular option: Widgetlocker - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teslacoilsw.widgetlocker - $2.99
Or something more minimal: AcDisplay - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.achep.acdisplay - Free
If you don't use a passcode, the built in swipe lockscreen doesn't have an emergency call button.
Hit thanks if I helped

Access denied because "another app is drawing over the screen"

What the heck does this error mean and how do I fix it. I get it when I try to update my credit card info for Android Pay, and also when I try to authorize accessibility for several of my apps (like my password library, Tasker and the like).
Please help, because I am not being allowed to use some very useful features because my own phone won't let me
Do you have Lux installed? Anything that draws over your screen screws with that kind of thing (I had the same error yesterday).
I don't know the exact answer, but perhaps this will help narrow it down:
Settings/Apps/cog top right > Configure apps/Draw over other apps - this lists the ones that have the permission to draw over the app you're using.

It's not an error. It's a feature to prevent tapjacking.
What is tapjacking protection and how do I turn it off/adjust the settings so that I can use the features.
I mean really? An anti-hack that keeps the user from controlling his own phone? That's sounding like iOS, not our beloved Android.....

I mis-stated my point. One of the guys said it might be Lux, and another showed me how to find the list of apps that are "drawing over". I'm going to disable the apps that are doing the deed, not the functionality that is integrated in the OS.

Example: You're trying to enter credit card info into Android Pay while you have a screen dimmer app running. The dimmer app dims the screen by drawing an overlay. When you're entering the info, you're actually interacting with the overlay. A malicious app could record the touches and capture the info.

Fingerprint Applock which can use specific fingerprint?

Our device can have upto 5 fingerprints. Does anyone know if there is some app that can lock the apps only with the fingerprint I specify.
Like for eg. I have 5 fingerprints of two different persons and I don't want the other person to unlock a specific app through his/her fingerprint.
Instead I specify that say that so and so app will be unlocked through Finger 1.
Is this even possible??

I see no developer has replied on this thread yet. The feature does not exist but if iPhone can have it then Android can too.
Hope to see a skilled developer here who can make this possible.

Is there any way to lock apps in memory on miui 12.0.9?

Hi, I'm on stock 12.0.9.0 (QJOEUXM - global EU channel)
This update redacted the facility to lock apps in memory and select Split Screen from the Recents menu (apparently it was unstable for some users - it's to come back in a later update)
So, as it stands when you long press an app in the Recents menu, instead of being offered Split Screen, Lock, Info, it just takes you directly to App Info
Until it's fixed, does anyone know of another way to lock apps in memory?
It's getting very annoying having miui kill processes all the time
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

Very definitely, yes! I'd been scouring the settings menus to find this feature again but couldn't find anything relevant
This morning the miui Security app opened up and offered me the chance to Lock Apps in memory, meaning I could select the relevant apps which are now shutting down less often
Unfortunately I can't find any way to find this menu again! Miui settings menus are a maze!
And the answer is:
Security app » Settings cog » Boost speed » Lock apps
Thanks to u/sparklesunshine777 on Reddit for that

Hi. so this means apps that are locked don't get killed all the time? There is a lock function in the settings but that just prevents apps from staring without a finger print or pin I believe.
I found an option in CustoMIUizer to stop MIUI force closing selected apps. (but that needs root.) and it seems to help so far the app (RL Bubble) stopped only 1 time today instead of every hour or so but that is still 1 time too many.
So I added it in the security app too. Who would think to look there in stead of the settings. Great find! Thanks.
I think that they make the phones more and more complicated by hiding/relocating/renaming the settings every android version.
Hi, a quick question. I do lock apps in the background, but i notice sometimes the padlock is lets say highlighted and sometimes just dim.
Anybody knows what that is?
Thank you.

I have an issue related to this in stock miui with netguard vpn - basically its still killed once in while even though:
Its already locked as described above including autostart;
its already set in stock android system settings for battery use as "not optimized"
its also set with the miui app settings battery saver as (no restrictions)
it's set under network settings as (always on);
So what else can I do non-root to prevent this happening?

Super annoying stuff. especially when you want to multitask, the last resort if not buying a different brand phone is to install a custom ROM, and get rid of MIUI altogether. Imo, even tho battery is not as good is a good sacrifice for sanity.
