Fingerprint Applock which can use specific fingerprint? - OnePlus 3T Questions & Answers

Our device can have upto 5 fingerprints. Does anyone know if there is some app that can lock the apps only with the fingerprint I specify.
Like for eg. I have 5 fingerprints of two different persons and I don't want the other person to unlock a specific app through his/her fingerprint.
Instead I specify that say that so and so app will be unlocked through Finger 1.
Is this even possible??

There's a feature called app locker in security and fingerprint and that allows to set up different apps to be opened only with fingerprint or other secured methods like pin password or pattern

Yes but that uses all the available fingerprints, not a specific fingerprint which i can specify

Bump... Anyone??

No I don't think that's possible.

Bumping again with hope
Sorry

maybe download another app lock app from the play store and register only your fingerprints?

I dont think any such feature exist in Android. I had this feature in my jail broken iPhone where we can assign different actions for all registered fingerprints. I am also looking forward to get this feature in Android .

I see no developer has replied on this thread yet. The feature does not exist but if iPhone can have it then Android can too.
Hope to see a skilled developer here who can make this possible.
Thank you

Apps that utilize fingerprint scanner

Have you guys heard of or found any apps that use the scanner? I found one called Last Pass which is actually pretty good. But I want more.

I use the Finger Security app which allows you to pick the apps you want to use the fingerprint scanner to secure when opening.

Cool app. Thanks for sharing the link.
You can set this app up to use your fingerprint to login instead of entering login credentials
Check out "LastPass Password Mgr Premium*"
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lastpass.lpandroid
With LastPass you still have to enter in the primary password since fingerprint reader support is for reprompt only; or am I missing something in the settings? Any advice on how to set it up?
Edit: Never mind. Needed to set never log out option in addition to the fingerprint reprompt option.

[Q] Apps compatible with fingerprint sensor?

Any kind of running current list of apps that work with fingerprint sensor, i.e. banking apps? TIA
For me, I'm using Bank of America app and Finger Security.
Last pass as well

Now you can lock your mobile apps using your fingerprint.
• No Peaking in recent apps
• Fully optimized
• No battery Drain
Note :
• you must register your fingerprint in your device
[Settings]> [Security]> [Nexus Imprint]
• Turn On Accessibility Service , this app will not work without enabling it.
[Settings]>[Accessibility]> turn on > [App Locker : Service]
• Enable Device Admin to prevent unauthorized uninstall.
[Settings]> [Security]> [Device Administrators]> turn on > [App Locker]
Please let me know your thoughts and review.
paid version will be uploaded soon.

I've installed and will give feedback.
Needs a timeout. Once you open an app it should record that the app is open and if you switch tasks it should not lock you out until a timeout timer has expired.
I just released pro version without ads.
@ tech_head thanks i'll definitely implement that feature
How about sorting and filtering by enabled/disabled apps?
Other than that, this app is just friggin' incredible
Awesome app. Purchased.
Request: Would be nice to have a widget or option to enable or disable the app lock feature. When im home i dont want it on. When im at work i do. Right now i have to uncheck all the boxes one at a time. A toggle to turn on and off the ability without losing ur app selections would be nice.

@mianharisali
Might I suggest an alternative suggestion? Whitelist WiFi BSSIDs, so app knows when it's at home, therefore doing things automatically.
Does the pro version only included no ads??
App is really good! Just gotten the paid version to support you! Prevent friends and family from assessing my data!
Request: would be nice to be able to lock apps without having to have a security feature enabled on the device. I just like swipe to unlock but would like to protect some apps
Same here, I don't use a lock screen but would like to lock apps.
Thank you for your efforts, but may we find a way to lock app by fingerprint without passing lock screen fingerprint register?

fingerprint api does not work if you have not registered the fingerprint in nexus imprint , so at this time it is not possible.
but if google allow this in future , i'll definitely implement this feature.

No. Because that takes away options. What if I'm having a party at home and give my phone to a friend to check out a funny pic or leave it on and open with Spotify playing to my audio system and people can chose a song. I'd rather then turn the feature on at home so people don't snoop.
It shouldnt be location based... It should require positive user intervention for the sake of most flexibility.
And to make sure someone else doesn't turn off the feature themselves, when the widget is pressed to turn app lock on or off, it asks for finger print as verification to make sure it's you that tapped it.
I have some Google Rewards credits, I will use them to purchase as well.
Some feedback. It should be "No Peeking" not "No Peaking".
And after install, the "App Locker: Need Permissions"
"Locker" is spelled as "Locer"
Unless that was intentional for some reason.
I'll give you some more feedback as well.
Sorry to be a "Grammar Nazi", but people don't trust apps if they have spelling mistakes etc.

i am really happy that you found these mistakes. today i'll be fixing that , and some more optimization.
Here is the future plan.
update 1= some performance optimizations. (today or max tomorrow)
update 2=UI improvement + option to add interval between next lock. (and some custom features depending on your feedback ) (this weekend)
update 3=password + pattern locking. (next weekend)
I think what we're missing here, is a false screen of some sort. My girlfriend absolutely hates that I'm friends with some people, and likes to snoop. Instead of blatantly requesting a finger print, maybe add a plain black screen that has a "unfortunately this application has stopped unexpectedly" or what ever the default force close message is, with no visible request for a Finger Print, but the scanner is ready and waiting. There's an app on the market that does this, but I'd feel better paying a developer on xda than a company thats probably data mining my "hidden" apps. Cheers!

Use biometrics with "swipe" screen lock?

Hi guys, so I've just updated to Oreo, and I found out that I can't use any biometrics anywhere unless I choose a "secure" screen lock! Is there a workaround for this? I've never used neither iris, nor face recognition nor fingerprint on my phone but always on apps. I can't do this anymore, the thing that bothers me the most is that I switched from Chrome to samsung internet to use samsung pass which of course now doesn't work unless I change my lock settings
Yes I'd like to know this. But I'm afraid the answer is no. Oreo is not a good step for Android in my opinion. There are lots of things no longer implimented or have been made clumsy and complicated.

Finger print added

I have been having an issue lately, where I would try to login with my finger print scanner on my bank and credit card app and it makes me login with the password, because it says another finger print was added. The thing is there wasn't! It's been happening every other day now and I'm lost. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue, but if so help please!

I thought the same thing but it happened with my bank app and my credit card app, two different companies.
Do you guys use more than 1 finger ?
Or maybe more profiles for one and the same finger ?
I mean : Did you scanned the same finger a few times to get better recognition of fps ?

I have 3 different fingers, one is used specifically for the secured folder. But I did the check to make sure that all of them were working fine and had no problems.

I had very similar experience with
my old Note 8. I registered fingerprint unlock , in banking app. When i want to open my banking app, with fingerprints,
and a login option would appear that i have to login with my pin.
Very frustrating.!
I originally pinpointed it to the 3rd party banking app, as all my other fingerprint
unlocks.....
eg Lockscreen, Secure Folder,. Password Manager app etc, etc worked fine.!
It was just the banking app giving me this issues.
Eventually after complaining repeatedly to my Bank (The app developer just ignored my emails) it was "fixed ".. months later!
if your Fingerprint Unlock,/ Secure
folder /Samsung Pay /Google Play /Samsung Store (payments options with fingerprints) works fine,
Then surely, it points towards the banking app, that has somec sort of "bug" ?
Yes /no ?
With my Note 9
i have had no issues with
either Device or banking apps.
Good luck.
Maybe its worth a try with only one FP-Profile ?
Just uninstall the app, deleete all your fp-profiles.
Setup a new profile with just one finger and scan it 1x.
Then restart phone, reinstall app and try it.
Maybe the bankingapps getting confused about all the profiles of fp ?
I mean : Its worth a try (?)
And yes, of course contact the app-dev.
Good luck to u all
Month later and 1 update, plus factory reset and I'm still having the same problem.
