Changing menu type - Galaxy Note5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
Can you help me with changing menu type to one with no all apps button. like on miui roms or iphone? I cant find it...
Sorry if this has allready been talked about here, but I tried to search with no results.
Thank you all.

There is a option under the settings menu in S7 for that option and also it has warning about that option is still experimental. So maybe in the future upgrades we can get it too..

You can use Samsung Galaxy Labs. One of the experimental options is Show all apps on Home screen.

That is not cool.Actyally for installation you don't need root, you need custom recovery.

Ok, Can you please give me an url of a thread with galaxy labs? Is it flashable zip only?
EDIT: Sorry mate, I have found it here
Tnx again

How to install - still a question. You need to make update package which will be accepted by stock recovery. But as I know this package should contain Samsung signature.

How to simply install a custom ROM ?

Hi all,
I used to have an HTC Desire.
With that device, I was able to simply install third party ROMs in just one click with an app called ROM Manager.
It seems that this is impossible with my Samsung Galaxy S, because I have a "3e" recovery preventing 3rd party ROMs from flashing correctly.
Is there any way I could simply go back to a "2e" recovery in order to flash any ROM I'd like without having to follow a complicated tutorial that would take hours to go through ?
Looking forward to all of your answers,
Thanks !
Here.
Just a fast flash with ODIN and you are ready for customROMs.

How to add reboot and recovery to power menu?

I have googled and surfed the forum and found some guides, but I still feel not confortable at doing it and I fear I might mess up my Note.
Can someone please tell me how to do this on a stock KK9 Galaxy Note?

Thanks, will give it a look.
Nope, there's no 'Recovery' and 'Reboot' entry in the Power Menu after (re)applying CWM.
I think this topic is going nowhere as this sub-forum doesn't have that many views...

Chainfire's method in this post most definitely does work. Follow the instructions exactly. Be certain to read through both the first and second posts - the files are located in the fourth post, but you need to read and understand the first two before you move on. This is pretty foolproof, if it doesn't work, then you didn't most likely didn't match your numbers to the proper download.

Look I don't know how else to say it, but when I press the POWER button those two menu items (Recovery, Reboot) are not there.
I am not saying I couldn't install CWM properly or anything else, just that I want to add those two holy items.

I don't know what to say other than you haven't followed the instructions properly. It's easy to miss a step. But let's check one thing:
CWM Manager
Because of incompatibilities with ROM Manager, I wrote and included "CWM Manager". This is a new app (as of March 30, 2011). You can find it under Applications -> CWM. It is much faster to use than manually booting into CWM and selecting these options.

Do you have CWM Manager in your app drawer?

I just forgot to say I am using mowmo's ICS Theme and that might have modified the Power menu (although I ran afterwards already-roooted.bat again and those entries are not there).
Could it be the cause of it?

However is there really not a way I can go open files and edit lines by miself to add those entries?

I don't think so, because it's part of the OS. I think at this point you need to post in Chainfire's thread or the thread linked higher up in this thread and seek higher level help - I'm no developer, just an educated user

Bro I'll give a advice. I can see you have not much experience nor confidence in what you will do. If I was you I give a try in maclaw's cm11 first & if you don't like it you can always flash this awesome stock (modded) rom. No one here (s3 mini forum) has that issue & btw the link that you gave me is for Samsung Galaxy S I9000 not s3 mini, so if you still want to flash that sms fix you should ask to the dev (on his thread) if it works on s3 mini. I'm going out now so, have a nice day & happy new year, again

Only the Samsung roms have this problem. Cm roms dont do that. So you can flash cm ,go to maclaw.pl ,downloads, s3 mini and then cyanogenmod. Whichever version you want, I would suggest cm 10.2 cause doesn't have many bugs. Otherwise if you want to download a Samsung rom that doesn't have that problem, check the android development forum you will find many of them. If you have a deodex Rom you can flash the secMms mod which is found on s3 mini themes and apps forum. If you don't know what deodex means our you are odexed follow the previous advice. And a last thing: HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Another thing you can do is to install xposed framework and download from the xposed installer the "disable sms convert to mms" module, enable it and then reboot

i think the solution is via xposed with a module that can help you with no mms conversation or try re installing a rom
