[ROM] VanillaOS - VanillaUnicorn Alpha Builds // i9300 unofficial by puk3n - Galaxy S III Android Development

Lets keep this simple and clean
Builded by puk3n not by me, since I dont own the device..
I am sharing our rom with you. This rom is based on CM and still in alpha stage. The rom will develope with time and get back to what it was in Kitkat times.
I own this device and I am personally running this build aswell, but dont blame me, if something wents wrong.
I came back with our rom, because I love android and you and I also need something to train my programming skills. Who am I ? -> Informatics student working at a telecommunication company from germany. Feel free to hit me up on hangouts to chat.

Accidentally Dirty flashed it over CM13.0 and surprisingly instead of having any kind of error the ROM seems to be running smoothly. Very smoothly I must say.
Great work dev!

Have a bug to report?
Now track the status of your issue on -
http://bugtracker.liquidsmooth.net
--
Quick Tips:
◘ Make sure you do a Full Wipe and then flash the ROM.
◘ DO NOT restore data via Titanium Backup. More often than not it will cause stupid issues.
◘ If you have done all that, and still face issues please post a logcat. (Search on how to do that)
◘ For battery related issues, please post a relevant screenshot from an app like Better Battery Stats etc.

No logcat or no screenshot effectively means your issue doesn't exist

In short Omnirom is still in an early stage and much like AOSP, but with a few nice additions already (like performance tab and some customization features.

At the moment it's just AOSP, but over time more features will be added.
But it would be good to see more info in the OP.

New built up.
i would like to know if you simple build with adding all available sources/features/fixes, or if you pick just some things? for example is there theme engine already in omnirom? hm i must say others are right, would be nice to have some more informations what you push inside your rom, what not and so on...
My built is pure Omni (except for root that I added). I also added multi window now (it is buggy because it is not finished yet).
If you want to know more about omnirom i suggest you google it. Or look at there github.
This should be safe to "dirty" flash over tilal's Omni build right? No data wipe needed? Hopefully?

For people that don't understand what OmniROM is, go to the OmniROM forums right here on XDA. You can get all your questions answered there. In a nutshell, OmniROM is a community "XDA" ROM with developers like Dees_Troy, xplodwild, and Chainfire as the main founders. It's totally open-source, open to feature requests, nightlies are stable, etc.
Essentially it's just a really awesome AOSP-based ROM with some cool features (detailed in the forums and on the website) and a very open mindset.

Up until just moments ago, that did happen; however, there is a new build which should fix that issue. It was the updater_script failing due to a script missing. That has since been fixed, and it should flash now with no issue at all.

No. Omni views all third-party firmware as a part of the same community and is not meant to be a replacement, simply another member of the greater ROM community.

Resurrection Remix ROM is based on AOKP, CM, PA, Omni, SlimROMs and original Remix ROM builds, creating an awesome combination of performance, customization, power and the newest features on your device! It is one of the most customizable ROMs out-of-the-box!
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device.
We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash!
THIS IS STILL A WORK IN PROGRESS:
Currently NOT working:
- Audio
- SIM Card
- Camera
- GPS
Download ROM
Download Gapps
Full Wipe (only when coming from other ROM)
Flash ROM and Gapps
I am in no way responsible for anything that may happen to your phone! Flashing this is at your own risk.
Offcourse all credits for this ROM go to Team Resurrection and Cyanogenmod for making this possible.
