Nexus 6p amoled screen assembly off eBay? - Device Repair

Hi, I saw cheap Nexus 6p amoled screen assemblies off eBay for cheap, they run around 50 dollars. Has anybody purchased it? How's the quality?
I don't have insurance on my phone and I'm thinking about buying one for back up. The housing is also cheap, 30 bucks+camera visor

ShockSock Sleeve & TMU cases

Here are a few pics of the cases I'm using with my Nexus 7...
The case logic was purchases from Walmart as a stop gap while I waited for the others to arrive (12 bucks). The shocksock was purchased from an eBay dealer in the UK for 10 bucks. The tpu cases are from Amazon and were about 5 bucks each
The shocksock is my favorite. Fits perfectly and the top stretches. The nexus 7 can't slip out even when its upside down. I have a feeling these where originally billed as shocksocks for galaxy tabs and the dealer just made another auction with nexus 7 in the name, but it really does fit perfectly.

Screen protector

I plan on getting basic screen protectors from eBay. They cost about $5 for 2-3. Is anything wrong with them? I see people getting expensive ones for like $15-20. What's the difference?
Thanks.

It's a trial and error things. People are buying the more expensive protectors because they either know the brand/company or hear good things about the company by hear say.
You may love your cheaper ones, but you will be the one deciding that LOL.
I purchased these at just under £2 and to be frank, they are rubbish.
You can see smears and fingerprints so much more than using it without a protector.
In this case it's all about experimentation but you get what you pay for.
I got 10 screen protectors for $10.99 on ebay with free shipping. I'm sure there are better ones out there but for just over $1 each these are nice and smooth and seem to be holding up fine.

Nexus 7 Boxwave Leather case $7.95 shipped on Amazon.com w/ code

Code: NEXUS7EC
$7.95 shipped.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_n...&field-keywords=nexus+7+elite+case+book+cover
Doesn't use the smart wake feature. There are too many better quality cases that use magnetic wake for a dollar more.
I bought a Boxwave case for my Kindle 2. If this is similar you will find that the construction is very cheap and not like the quality feel they had a few years ago. I think you might be disappointed, especially for the money.

Good,CHEAP screen protectors

Any recommendations?
Do they make those glass screen protectors for the Nexus 7 ?
Thanks in advance.
I have an xtremeguard protector on mine, wet application means tight, perfect fit and it's stayed on for 6+monthd no problem. Look for coupon codes, I've always been able to find one when I looked, I think I paid $2 to get mine - shipped!

Xtreme Gaurd Coupon Code
Xtremegaurd launched a coupon code '85off' for 85 percent off store wide. Not sure when they expired. Picked up two for my sister the other day. I got it from $20 down to $3!
why do you need one? I've been using mine without one for a year now and there's absolutely no scratches on the screen, not even micro ones like you get on the N4.
Anyway, I've always found the wet-apply ones to be the best protection (used them on my Hero, Sensation, ZVM etc) - http://www.bestskinsever.com/tablets/google/google-nexus-7-tablet-skin-2012-model - as good as Zagg ones, and much cheaper.

ZAGG glass

Anyone tried the ZAGG glass. Just saw that it is available now for the nexus 5x.

Link? I'm only seeing the regular InvisibleShield screen protector as available on the Zagg website.
Here is the link to glass

How does it compare to other TGSPs on the market for the Nexus 5X ?
IMO its pretty expensive, Pleson or TechMatte sells it for much much cheaper if you're looking for a TGSP

Yeah, but it has me wondering why it's so much more expensive. I've heard very good things about Zagg Glass but is the money worth the hype? Unless it stays Oleophobic forever, I really don't see the point in replacing the Pleson one I have. I also noticed in the renders on the Zagg website that the TGSP doesn't have a cutout for the proximity sensor...

I saw the Zagg has 0.4mm thickness (most are minimum 0.3mm) whether this makes any difference I don't know.
I here mixed reviews about virtually every make TGSP, its so difficult to make a decision.
For some reason the Pleson TGSP always appears unavailable on the Amazon UK website
1. Anyone likely to purchase the ZAGG Glass for the Nexus 5X ?
2. Do they make one for the Nexus 6P also ?
I have had ZAGG on other devices. Works well. If you want to replace you usually pay shipping back under their warranty. Bummer about no proximity sensor.

Apparently there was a Google Update which solved the proximity sensor issue even if covered by TGSP according to ZAGG support.
Also they do a thickness less than 0.4mm but strangely don't sell it on their website ?
