[REQ] LG Optimus 2X forum

I hope that XDA will add a separate section for this awesome device soon, there are many people interested in it.

I'll buy it!
But there is something strange with expansys: they changed release date from 21st Feb to 21st March.. But now they don't say release date!
I hope to discuss soon with other people about this GREAT PDA!

Well.. Honestly I'd think twice before buy Optimus two on 21st March. In the meantime MANY other device will be on the market. And obviously there will be a lot of Android 2.3.
My fear is due the price: 550 euro (on EXPANSIVE Expansys..) is a good price.. A TOO good price.. (compared to Nexus S..) So I'm afraid they really will ship it on March.. I hope I'm wrong.

That's right, it will be shame if LG won't upgrade it to 2.3/2.4 until 21st March.
Maybe even HTC will show their dual-core devices until than, and it will make me think if it's still good deal to buy Optimus 2X...

That's THE point!
But (in my opinion) HTC is lost in that "4G thing".. It seems to me that HTC want to please USA market only (I don't know if 4G is in other EU country).. It's odd because USA market is full of Iphone, Blackbarry and so on..

Still no news on Italian Expansys.. And Expansys UK still says 21st March.. with some offers too I wonder if price will be cheaper after preorder.. Or maybe it's better to preorder now..

Well as far as i know the 2X should be released sometime in february. You can also pre order it on Amazon Germany for 499€. Quite a nice price if considering other high end smartphones also cost about the same.

I denmark it still says February. I really hope that this device is not being delayed. But we'll just have to wait and see. I look forward to feel this phone in my hands. It looks awesome!

correct model is found here but has no details on when its delivered, as far as i can see..
February must be a fluke, many other websites claim march 21. is the day.

According to germans tech site golem.de/1101/80759.html (sorry cant post links yet ) the release is scheduled for february.

Instead of posting all sorts if queries in various other threads, I thought of making one only for the Asian continent...
I'm from India...and so far all we know is, its coming to India, end of November, 2012.
Pricing isn't out yet...but there are speculations that it would be around 28,000 INR. I have my doubts about this..
So...let's wait for further feeds from LG...and I request anyone reading this that if you see any essential piece of information anywhere on the net, please share it here...

From Taiwan here, given the fact how long it took until the Nexus 7 was available, (bought my one in the UK), I don't expect the Nexus 4 landing here before December

Here in korea, many says it will not be sold in korea
LG has a carrier in korea(LG Telecom, or U+), and 3G(non-LTE) is considered old-tech..

Hey I read the 8 gb variant is for around 16000INR and the 16 gb about 20000..it's very low priced..

i'm from Malaysia... The last time they brought in the nexus 7 and sold the 16GB version for RM999. Thats killer cheap. its the price of my single core ICS hTC One v. i'm hopping they'll bring the nexus 4 at a cheap price like the nexus 7 ^_^

Korea uses different radios for 3G anyway. When I taught in Korea my GSM phone got no reception at all in Incheon and Daegu, and I assume elsewhere (though I put it in airplane mode and used it as a camera mostly).
It's just too bad Korea/US/almost every country uses different bands for LTE :/

Perhaps buying from a brick and mortar retailer. Physically being given able to walk inside a store to purchase. Correct me if I'm wrong please

Offline availability may be sale outside of playstore, since India don't have playstore ,they can't sell it through playstore!

If LG sells it at around the same Play Store price in other countries it would be a massive hit !! Looking for the Nexus 4 8GB around 16000 -17000 INR. If it is so, i would have it in my hands ! Keeping an eye on November end !!

Yeah........really high!

Sympathize with you guys. What it means is that it will probably sell for that much in Hongkong. I kinda had the plan to buy one there but now I think I'll stick with Google Play US.
I am Chinese, but I live the US for now. I'll be going home with a brand new N4 in December. But I doubt if those iSheep armies in China know what I am holding ;D

Hi guys,
I've decided I'm going to be selling my Mix as I'm just not using it.
Is there a selling section on the forum?
I can on find something called "swappa" but that looks USA based and I'm in the UK.

Ebay or whatever version of Craigslist you Brits use would be my suggestion. XDA used to have buy/sell/trade forums, but they turned that into Swappa.com (which I believe does actually support international sales). If you want to sell locally-ish, craigslist is the way to go.

So Ireland update is delayed too? Rebranding doesn't needs bootloader unlocked does it? At least not for most other brand phones, still stock firmware etc just flash to handset sold in different regions shouldn't be an issue other than a few that uses different bands

You must be confused, this device got Android 13 update this summer and just got a big update this week. Very much not abandoned.

I'm on TMobile US with the NE2215 and it works fine.

Abandoned by developers...100% true... Not only that but oppo/oneplus are locking these devices down. Unlocking the bootloader on the 10T is already an issue.

They're mostly referring to the fact that OnePlus, once developer-friendly, has reversed that stance and with every flagship phone, has found more and more new and exciting ways to make developers' lives a living hell. Hence, no developer support. Meanwhile, OP releases updates that only seem to break things more than anything else. Buyer beware, as they say.
