Good job I rebranded to Europe ?

I will not pay 30 euro for unlocking code. I would rather sell this phone.

So Ireland update is delayed too? Rebranding doesn't needs bootloader unlocked does it? At least not for most other brand phones, still stock firmware etc just flash to handset sold in different regions shouldn't be an issue other than a few that uses different bands

So it's gone 2am on "release day" in China. You'd think they would push the update around 8-9am?

Hi!
I found something interesting on China Huawei Club forum:
https://club.huawei.com/thread-17736096-1-1.html
... by Google trnanslator:
First, the version push time
1, November 6th: Pushed to users who have successfully registered for internal testing
2, November 8: Push to users on version 9.0.1.20
3, November 10: Member service registration is open to all, support 8.1.1.175 (P20) / 8.1.0.176 (P20 Pro) version upgrade to 9.0.0.125 version.
Tips:
1. Please upgrade the “Member Service” APP to the latest version 8.0.2.811 before the member service registration upgrade.
2. After the membership service registration is open, there is no limit to the number of registrations and time. You can apply for early adopters at any time. It is recommended to apply for the peak period.
3. Due to the large number of upgraded early adopters, there may be a delay in network data transmission. After the member service registration application prompts successfully, the system will push according to the order of registration and the network status. If you have not received the version yet, please don't worry. It is recommended to wait patiently for the peak period and then review the update in Settings > System > System Update.

You won't be getting any junk mail.
My signature would identify me as representing whohas.it, but I'll need 7 more posts before I can set that up.
Sign up information isn't shared, sold, etc. Yes, lots of sites/services say that, only some mean it. We're in the latter camp.
We haven't even sent out any housekeeping emails at this point, and likely won't until the Android mobile app is ready (soon hopefully).
And to other questions on the thread about whether whohas.it is monitoring the US play store only, the answer is yes. We have plans to add international versions of our service in the future, but we're not there yet. First quarter of 2013 is the current target, but that is by no means carved in stone.
I'm happy to answer any other questions if there are any.

Xiaomi Mi5 isn't available in Europe or North American. Doesn't stop you buying it does it?? So, you can still buy the Z2 Pro. But might mean limited development.

See post #2. There will be no international version, like Xiaomi Mi5. This should not stop people from buying it.

If you already have your unlock code it should be fine.
If you don't you should still be able to use DC to get it.
But this is for current phones, for future ones we may not even get unlock code from DC (as P20 can not, for example)
Which ends the ROM scene.
No need to go and unlock it. No developer will support this phone ( or Huawei) for buy long..
Luckily, due to Treble, existing customers will not be left in the cold. Not sure what Huawei will gain from all of this though. They also lost me as a customer. And my friends, and my family.

Where's DC, what is this?
Just boycott their products : )
I think it makes sense for them to avoid users from unlocking their devices. I have seen several people returning their devices for installing custom stuff badly and then when they revert back to stock, some features are lost (again, for doing things the wrong way). Stupid people costs any company lots of money, ergo, they rather remove the feature and remain safe.
Any idea how to register for an account on the Huawei website? It doesn't give an option for the US (or Canada for that matter).

Is there any working method (free or paid) for unlocking the bootloader of P20 Pro?

Hi everyone!
I am wondering if there is still a way for unlocking the bootloader of P20 Pro.
Basically, as you might already know, Huawei has removed the "bootloader unlock" page from its website. The paid service (DU-Unlocker) also does not have the device listed in its supported models.
Is there any working method now in 2019 whether it is free or paid or as a service that can unlock the bootloader of this device?
Your help will be greatly appreciated.
I used this guy on eBay:

It took him a few days to do it, but it worked great!
Cheers

Hello, pardon me for inquiring further if you truly meant bootloader unlock code for p20 pro from "fonzdirect" on ebay, the seller you mentioned, as he does not provide bootloader unlock codes. His service only unlocks the SIM card to be used on other mobile phone carriers outside of U.K. "02 network", Vodafone, and perhaps others. I did not find his store to provide the service in which this thread is referencing. For the sake of accuracy, might you be conflating the two?
I have paid MinistryofSolutions the 30Euros on Christmas Day for the p20 pro bootloader unlock; however, that was the week his unlock services went down. I was refunded my money that same afternoon and have noticed the website reflect his no longer being able to provide the codes. I cannot justify paying a cent more for FunkyHawaii for what I will use it for. I simply want VoLTE and VoWiFI to be enabled on AT&T through property flags. Cheers.

I've never dealt with them before and I don't want to risk paying to mess up my phone.
I'm not allowed to post links but googling "halabtech p20 pro bootloader" should get you there if you feel rich and brave.

I have never seen a device be abandoned so much.. I'm not going to write everything I've already written again because people won't be bothered to look themselves, the info is there, have a look.

Abandoned by developers...100% true... Not only that but oppo/oneplus are locking these devices down. Unlocking the bootloader on the 10T is already an issue.
Think it's you who's confused pal

They're mostly referring to the fact that OnePlus, once developer-friendly, has reversed that stance and with every flagship phone, has found more and more new and exciting ways to make developers' lives a living hell. Hence, no developer support. Meanwhile, OP releases updates that only seem to break things more than anything else. Buyer beware, as they say.
