good news i come up with a working twrp
fixed recovery loop and maybe the suddent reboot
and your roms deosnt work it has black screen because the kernel use legacy display and cm12.1 want caf display

Will this work on Gt-S6500D or only on Gt-S6500 ?
---------- Post added at 09:33 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:59 AM ----------
I tried to install it with cwm 6.0.3.2 . I got no recovery loops or status 7 and the boot animation was showing but I got a boot loop :/.
When I installed it with TWRP and swapped to CWM 6.0.4.7 The screen became black.
Thanks for rom ,I'm waiting for updates !

Can you port for GT-S6500D (jenad) ?

Or do what other 7x27a devices did. That is porting the kernel to support the CAF display HAL. I did this on my Samsung Galaxy Young (also 7x27a).

So...
So it works or it doesn't work for GT-S6500?

My phone rebooted during cm12.1 installing with TWRP

Can I try to flash it via CWM?

By twrp :same
By twrp and after installation switching to cwm :same

Again, this is due to the kernel not being updated to use the CAF display HAL. Do NOT flash this ROM.

It's not something you'll do in a few hours of work.
You need to patch the kernel drivers with about 220 commits
Starting from commit:

ed30e5e6065b44e1e2f36f5d39134d13377fe8b5 - KGSL: delete MSM GPU drivers

Yes, I'm compiling CAF kernel for S6500 to get CM12.1 working. CM12 and up boots only with CAF kernel. I was busy these days, but now I returned to S6500.

CyanogenMod is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. CyanogenMod does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for CyanogenMod is available in the CyanogenMod Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to CyanogenMod, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

You finally got it to boot !!!
Now development and NEW ROMS will come!
I asked for @KINGbabasula for help with CM10.2. I provided him with the required proprietary files from 4.2.2 stock to be able to get it to boot on 4.2.2. He compiled a ROM yesterday but it didn't boot. I was surfing xda and I saw that he recently got CM10.2 to boot on S2 Plus (another capri device) and he agreed happily to help Grand with CM10.2. If you need any help, I am sure KINGbabasula will happily help.

Also, please don't ask for ETAs on other ROMs based on 4.3. They'll come after this CM10.2 gets stable enough to be used as a daily driver. I'll work on CM10.2 too from tomorrow.

Should work.
Test for yourself.
Currently, with stock kernel, all works fine, except I (actually phone of my wife) has higher battery drainage (maybe because of RIL),
Have you had any random reboots with alpha5? Because for me it seems to reboot even more often than on alpha2.

[BETA][markw] Unofficial LineageOS 14.1 for Redmi 4 Prime

This is a beta, working build of LineageOS 14.1 for markw, Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime. As many here already know, I had a problem with my phone while developing this, my USB port snapped out of place, so I can't continue development at this moment. Actually, only will be able to fully resume it when I can get my hands on a new phone / fix mine, which is something ongoing. Anyways, through the help of many members from this forum, we were able to make sure the basic rom works, so people can have a taste of Nougat, if they can live with the compromises. Source is also coming up, so other people hopefully can fix what was left broken during my time procrastinating from developing . No fancy announcements, JUST READ to make sure you understand everything BEFORE INSTALLING!
What works: Everything, except,
- Camcorder in Snap (use another camera application to record videos - Stills work just fine);
- Fingerprint;
IMPORTANT INFORMATION (READ THIS SECTION 7 TIMES, AT LEAST, BEFORE POSTING ANY LUDICROUS QUESTIONS):
- Rom is based on stock 8.2.4.0, therefore ADVANCED REBOOT ONLY WORKS WITH 8.2.4.0 BOOTLOADER!
- BE AWARE THAT HW ENCRYPTION FROM 7.1 DIFFERS FROM 6.0 (WHICH OUR RECOVERY IS BASED ON), THEREFORE, IF YOU HAVE AN ENCRYPTED STORAGE AND BOOT UP THIS ROM, YOUR RECOVERY WON'T BE ABLE TO READ INTERNAL STORAGE ANYMORE! THIS CAN BE FIXED BY FLASHING A 7.1 BASED RECOVERY (WHICH I WILL COMPILE, BUT NEED TESTERS, SINCE I CAN'T DO IT MYSELF) OR SIMPLY BY HAVING AN NON ENCRYPTED STORAGE (See Guide by @Modest Mind - https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-4-prime/how-to/redmi-4-prime-pro-markw-how-to-disable-t3594239). THEREFORE: I STRONGLY SUGGEST ONLY PEOPLE WITH NON ENCRYPTED STORAGE TO FLASH THIS. NO QUESTIONS ABOUT THIS, THINGS ARE DIFFERENT, SIMPLE AS THAT!
- Flash it normally (Rom + Su addon for 14.1, arm64, GAPPS). Reboot to ROM.
That's it for now

Great work @jacoghi. Thanks mate.
Since a decrypted phone is highly recommended before flashing this rom (at this early stage) here is a small guide as how to disable encryption on your Redmi 4 Prime (markw):

There is already one Nougat rom with no flickering issues, maybe that will help you fix your problems? Thanks for trying out, hopefully this will become a fully working ROM some day.
This is great news. Can't wait the stable version for daily use:good:
Anyone tested Fingerprints?

Sources are up. @Modest Mind, thanks for the tip, I'm adding that to op. Thanks again, my man.
Hey guys, I tested the ROM and I can not wait to use it every day, its running very smooth, Fingerprint doesn't work :/, I also installed the GAPPS and it worked very well no FC or error.
It would be useful to indicate the procedure for installing 14.1. For example:
Reboot to recovery
Wipe system, cache, dalvik / art cache, date
firmware_V8.2.4.0
Flash rom zip and gapps
Reboot
Thank you for your work @jacoghi, I'm glad that you have built a bootable build of Los 14.1, I'm looking forward to trying it out. I'm also really thankful that you have released sources on github, many devs will appreciate it in my opinion. Thank you again, keep up the good work!

Is this kernel support vibration control?

Hi @Cozzmy13, I don't know why but i got bootloop after flashing your kernel with resurrection rom. I have try more than twice but still same result.
And, does dmsg from TWRP is useful to identify my problem?
